The Galactic Bugle theme would blare over all the holo channels, it was quite catchy. As the tune played, so would flashes of the riots now at play in all levels of Coruscant as well as many major worlds across the galaxy. The small movement had seemingly gained much traction. Civilians march with signs that read "NO MORE SITH! NO MORE JEDI! #CANCELTHECHIEF!" As the screens flick through the final seconds of the tune, a small tribute to Rayden Clancy would play in the clips. A banner reading "Woke up a normal citizen, died a hero." would scroll beneath it.

As the tune faded out, JJ would blow out a perfect smoke ring, one hand swirling around the glass of scotch on his desk. "Well, Buglers, today we mourn yet another hero! As many of you know, Rayden Clancy was the name of the construction worker that tried to stop a Pajama Bandit from abducting a kid on Coruscant! He was then put into a coma but the brigand but died due to the severity of his injuries in the ICU! As of right now, it is believed that the cowardly Pajama Bandit made his escape and there are currently no active leads by either the CSF or the Sector Rangers! Could this be due to their buddy buddy relationship?! Or could this just be that they aren't as effective as they should be!" He'd point directly at the camera. "Listen here, coward! You can kill a man on the street like a dog without provocation! But let's see if you can take a shot at someone prepared to fire back!"

He would take a puff from the cigar still lodged between his teeth, blowing another perfect ring. "Now I could be heartless and question the family of Clancy, but I won't! And I will say this! Nothing but silence from the Sector Rangers and the Jedi from the attack on Coruscant! Which, I guess serves them right now that the old Temple on Coruscant is being vandalized and was almost burnt down the other day! Watch them flock to the defense of old stones and not to the defense or justice that is deserved for a man slain by one of their own!"

Leaning back in his seat, he would remove the cigar just long enough to drain the scotch in his glass. He'd then look away from the camera and shake it a bit. "Betsy! Hit me with a refill!"

Looking back at the holo he'd sigh. "I'm going to give the Pajama Bandits a moments respite by moving onto the real story of the hour! Senator York of Kattada was arrested at the Senate building on Coruscant due to a leak on a proposal apparently he and Senator Drast of Coruscant co-wrote together! Ultimately, we'll see if they actually co-wrote it or if this is some kind of petty childish feud as neither side has released any transcripts or proof to the otherwise! Now this proposal was very lengthy and essentially boiled down to being discriminatory towards Independent Systems outside of the FWA! They were so intimidated by the powerhouse that is Mr. Thorne, who's been trekking all over the galaxy to do some good while urging free systems to unite together, that they tried to undermine his progress by writing some of the most outlandish and provocative legislature that I have ever had the displeasure of reading in all my years of journalism! Basically, the elite of the FWA decide if -our- beautiful and noble worlds are good enough to fly under their banner of protection! Bah! They can't even protect their own core worlds and they think they have something to offer!"

There would be a pause as a woman entered the scene to hand him a fresh glass of whiskey. With a nod and a sip, she would depart. "Now, I gotta give it to Senator York, the man has a pair of brass. Sources on the scene said he had the gall to leave mid senate meeting to go outside the hall and just have a word with the public, all the while dragging Senator Drast's 'good' name through the mud! In the words of famed sports announcer Pepper Brooks during the hellraising dodgeball episode of '98 over on Corellia's GESPN-8 The Hunto, 'It's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off, for him'! Bear in mind, it does not as York is later seen leaving the Hall in handcuffs! It would later be revealed that the Senate voted against joining or aiding any current position that benefitted the Independent Systems! Personally, I think it has to do with a personal vendetta against Mr. Thorne, a man who unlike those PJ Bandit lovers, isn't sitting around while plagues and poverty wreak havoc on the Outer Rim worlds! When asked for his thoughts on the whole vote and ordeal, the suave -People's- Representative had this to say!"

The holo would cut away..

“Mr. Thorne,” The assistant asked as she recorded him, “What are your thoughts on this proposal and the political expert’s analysis?”

Emryc squinted in the sun for a moment before popping on a pair of sunglasses, “Well, I’ll have to keep it brief since I don’t have the luxury of wasting time rambling in a senate room all day long” He glanced over at the people that were waving in the background, “I’m here on Tatooine to hopefully lay down the foundations of a new job market that will finally help pull the planet out of poverty.”

He continued to walk, gazing ahead as he spoke, “While an admirable notion, it appears that Senator York has forgotten the very basis for the creation of the Free World Alliance. The Republic has shown itself to be a dangerous operating model several times over and he proposes returning to it. The fact that this has even made it into a Holo broadcast suggests to me that it is a sentiment shared by many Free World Alliance planets,” Emryc knew damn well that wasn’t the case, but the general public was stupid and they would buy it. The alternative and likely truth was that a closed door meeting had a leak, but Emryc wasn’t going to save the FWA by pointing that out.

“And this is rather unfortunate, especially the rather shocking undertones that hint towards a war with me,” Emryc scoffed at that and shook his head, “It appears that the Free World Alliance wants to very strictly control and dictate which worlds have a say, if at all. My proposal was for the Independent Worlds to be represented regardless of how big or small. Engaging with the FWA would be a courtesy, but certainly not a requirement for my platform to continue to exist. It’s clear that the FWA places no value in any planets outside of its borders.”

“And how does that make you feel, Mr. Thorne?”

He turned to look directly at the camera then, sighing, “It is very disheartening to see. It is a reminder that these people here today,” He kept walking as a child ran up to him. Emryc was unfazed, smiling down at the child and placing a hand on his shoulder so they both looked at the camera. Several more children ran up to join him, excited to be on Holo, “These men, women and children… it means that them having a voice in any sort of forum does not matter unless they are deemed relevant enough for the Senate to judge. Their lives do not matter to the Free World Alliance. I was truly hoping for that to change, but it’s clear that they would rather be caught up in bureaucracy than extend the hand of friendship towards the less fortunate worlds. They would rather return to making the mistakes they made many times before.”

Emryc’s eyes narrowed as he gazed into the camera, “If that is your answer, Free World Alliance, we do not need you. We will come together without you. We will thrive without you. We will persevere without you. We out here have long since learned to hold our own from being abandoned and forgotten, and we will come together without being forced to dance to the rhythm you set alone. Together we are united, unyielding and unbroken.”

“I am Emryc Thorne, and I am a man of action. I am a man of the people,”
The citizens behind him started shouting and cheering,
“And I stand for them. And I will stand for them with or without the Free World Alliance.”

Following the Clip, JJ would be clapping with a wide grin, his cigar clenched tightly between his teeth. "Look at that! A man of the people! Senators of the FWA, take notes! Now while the FWA can agree that they don't want the Independent Systems being their own governing body, they can't agree on how badly they want to remove Mr. Thorne from the occasion! Now my father told me one very important thing: If the Senators don't like it or want to remove it, that means its good for the people! Remember, they only truly care about themselves! Now Buglers, it's that time, JJ Johnson signing off! No more Jedi! No more Sith! No more FWA! Hashbrown Cancel the Chief! I want them to know what the people want!"

As the scene faded the bugle theme would play.
