OOC: Open to the Sith & To finally put an end to a plot that has been on and off since the start of the Timeline

The Previous Night: Bakura Senatorial Chambers

s4kPPQ6ifxUBYfaQJggFuwnceuzyS0U7_NvjgsbA4r8nQjIB7aLwsr0K-4vroEG3GR4R0D7nDOfNW-ZMwr_v6IG8hCcwuXyL4cTzFJenO7znMN-PvH6r__sZ3HDjNFwS71bMPcU

A chill had washed over the capital city, accompanied with what felt like the swirling winds of winter rolling in on the northern most continent. It seemed quite poignant in a poetical sort of way, the changing of the seasons away from the months of bountiful harvest of the crops in the Namana plantations, and the spent blossoms withering and dying. Much as it was the fate of the cultists that had resided and worked in the shadows of the planet's governance, they had grown fat and suckled from their position of grandeur and false power, and like a fatted heard it was time for the culling.

The former Cult of Locura, now the Cult of Khar was left in tatters. Many of the dwindling followers had been felled under the wrath of the Sith. The act of house keeping within the dark forests on the city outskirts had seen the Cult leader's followers slain in the space of an evening. And, like any Cult leader, he had fled the scene leaving his followers to their demise. But the guilt if there was any that resided within the patriarch of the Ti'Varnus house hold would be short lived, as his retreat had not gone unnoticed.

Stepping into the personal senate chambers, the aging Governor in a clearly agitated and flustered state hurriedly dismissed the attempted cautions of his secretary, as she attempted to warn the man that a visitor had been waiting in his office. Closing the door as he dismissed the secretary, the man turned round and froze where he stood, his grey eyes falling upon the sight of a young blonde woman sitting in a chair beside his desk, her hand clasping at the stem of a glass filled with a crimson liquid, sipping at it momentarily before looking up from the wine and a faint sliver of a smile curling at her lips.

"Good Evening Father" Alyse spoke out as she gestured towards an empty glass sitting beside the opened bottle, a light chortle escaping her lips as she regarded the look of dread and shock that was plastered over the aged man's features. "Oh come now, don't be surprised. Its not as if I didn't know where you have spent every waking hour behind your desk. Figured it was due time I came to see how you are keeping, since you no longer seem to come home these days" The blonde Sith spoke as she poured out a glass for her father, before topping up her own glass and proceeding to drink from it, before handing the wine to Khar, who seemed both irritated and bemused by his daughter's Gaul to of all places show up at his offices, as if the events of the evening had not played out.

"I think you know all to well the reasons why I seldom leave this place, Alyse" Khar spoke out, as he tentatively handled the glass of wine, watching both the liquid and his daughter like a hawk. His words pointed and carried with a dry tone. Internally seething at the fact that this little stunt being played by the Sith Guardian, made it difficult if nigh impossible for him to lash out. Not with the security precautions and measures that were in place throughout the senatorial building. Any violent actions would be picked up by the cameras, as would any raised voices or sounds of a struggle be heard by the Secretary in the neighbouring room, who would in turn alert the security forces.

A slight smile curled on her lips as she simply nodded in response to the veiled meaning behind his words. "Such is the pity" Alyse spoke out before sitting back down on the chair, her chestnut hued gaze fixing with the cold icy glare of her father's "You're clearly dedicated to your position, though some times I fear it will be the death of you" she added as she raised a leg and crossed it over her knee, before brining the glass up to her lips and taking another sip from the wine - her gaze unmoving from that of Khar's, as subtle tendrils of the dark side emanated out from the blonde Sith towards the man.

"Listen, I will not abandon my life's work for some sentimental...." Khar spoke out, his words carrying and air of raised frustration, before suddenly falling short with a gasp as his hand reached for and clutched his chest, followed by the sound of glass shattering as the abandoned beverage plummeted to the marble floor. Spilling its contents across the floor as the Governor slumped down onto the ground, panting and gasping heavily as the constricting binds of the Force wrapped around his heart and continued to wrest the life out of man.

"Someone help" Alyse shouted out as she hurriedly set her glass of wine down onto the desk and rushed over to her father's side. "I think my father is having an heart attack!!" she added aloud in a raised stake of panic, seeking to get the attention of the secretary in the adjacent room. Even though knowing all to well her feigned attempts to get help would be in vein. The Senatorial building would be running with a skeleton crew at this time of night, and the nearest hospital would still be several miles out - it certainly was an unfortunate timing for the soon to be Late Governor.

Present Day: Bakur Memorial Building

Such as it would seem the nature of the Bakuran's governmental system and societal trends, nepotism was an affirmed and long standing practice within the Bakuran government. And with a degree of rather ill-fated fortune it would seem that with the tragic passing of one of the planet's representatives to the wider Galaxy, the vacant seat would soon be filled by the eldest child of the Ti'Varnus house hold, who like her late father had attended the Bakur Senatorial Academy.

Stepping quietly within the chambers of what was now her inherited office, the blonde figure sighed as she gathered her thoughts. It would seem that perhaps some aspects of her plan was going to come to head sooner than she had anticipated, whilst she knew all to well that no sooner had her father's passing came, she would be sworn into her office and position within the Bakuran Governance. She had hoped that there would have been a few days in between to have afforded the opportunity to at least get a formal message out to the Dark council to advise them of the completion of brining Bakura into their sphere of influence. But it would seem that having to take a direct hand in the measures of ridding the planet of it's wayward cult of Dark siders, under the influence of her father, as well as being there at his passing - it left little option but to have been thrown straight into her new role.

Still at least she was fortunate enough to have had the time to return home and inform the two Sith who had assisted her in dealing removing the Cult, advising them of the final outcome, with the hope that they would be able to get word out to the Eternal's ranks. "Ms Ti'Varnus, you will have the floor in five minutes" a young suited aide advised as he stepped through the open door. Stopping in her movements, the blonde looked up towards the aide, and nodded, offering a slight smile at the edge of her lips. As the aid stepped back out of the door and into the adjoining room the blonde, stepped over towards the desk to pick up the folded pieces of parchment, Taking a moment to quickly unfold the sheets of parchment and cast another skimming glance over the penned words that would be her public address to the Denzin's of Bakura.

After she had skimmed through the pages of scrawled notes, Alyse closed up the pages and made her way out of her office and followed the aide towards the main hall of the Government's chambers. Her eyes closing as she took several deep breaths to centre her self as she stepped closer and closer to stepping out of her father's shadow and into his seat of governance. A slight smile curling at the edge of her lips, whilst it was just one small step for herself, the actions between herself, Korsak and Manuk as well as the other Sith whom she had been able to gain aid from. Will have allowed for the removal of an errant cult of dark siders that sought to rule the centrist society, but allow for the Sith to gain the means of support and backing for the Sith Order.

Coming to a halt as she waited to be introduced to the planet's Government, the blonde waited a few moments as the leader of the House closed off the session before calling the next matter of business, and summoning the blonde to move to the podium to make her address. With a simple nod, Alyse acknowledged the summons and stepped forwards, heading to the podium and proceeding to set the folded pages of parchment down onto the wooden surface.

"Members of the House, invited dignitaries and honoured guests, it is with deepest regret and reluctance that I stand before you in my Father's stead" Alyse spoke out, her gaze flicking between the gathered faces infront of her, and the scribed words on the parchment she was reading from. "Today marks not only his passing, but the passing of the duties that my father has faithfully carried out over his many years of service to the Bakuran Government. As he had done so, I too will fulfil those duties to ensure the betterment of Bakura's Society.” the blonde continued before pausing slightly to allow for the various murmurings from the representatives of the the planet's government, much as was to be expected for the pageantry of planetary politics. Pursing her lips, the blonde spent a moment in thought as the mutterings simmered down.

"It is known that as of late, we have seen enough turmoil within our own back yard, from the recent riots that had shaken our capital City in the wake of the Repulsor Puck playoff finals being abandoned. But I believe together we can move ourselves away from these set backs and focus on bringing Bakura once again, out of the shadow of the core worlds and secure our place at the forefront of technological advancement. Whilst as a junior and Aide to my late father, I had managed to negotiate a trade deal with Theed Plasma Tech, one that will not only re-energise our industry, but will allow for us to build our industry's growth." The blonde continued, taking a brief moment to shuffle between the pages.

"And from the growth in our industry will come growth in our society, we shall change and move away from the state of economic stagnation, and I will work tirelessly to ensure that together, Bakura and her allies new and old will work as one to bring a stronger and securer future for us all." Alyse concluded, before taking a step back from the podium to affirm that she had finished with her address before moving to the floor to meet and mingle with those gathered within the Government's chamber - figuring that whilst it perhaps lacked the gravitas of many of the great speeches heard in the Galactic Senates, it served its point, enough to start sowing the seeds of change that would allow for the Sith order to once again take root in the planet's influence.

Manuk was not informed enough to understand entirely what was going on, and intelligent enough not to ask too many questions. Her mentor would share whatever information was relevant, when it was pertinent. That much she knew. For now, she would remain dutiful and alert and see how the events played out.

The death of Alyse’s father was now common knowledge. Manuk presumed her mentor was directly involved, but as yet, no evidence of guilt had been mentioned, although in the corridors, the whispers of so many different conspiracy theories were easily heard.

And being young and relatively pretty, she scrubbed up well and wore something fitting for the occasion, as opposed to her usual attire.

Before the speech was over, Manuk had slipped out of the throng of the crowd and back to her ship. The message was now clear – the planet was now well and truly under Sith influence, even if it did not know it yet. Manuk approved of the subtlety of the plan and immediately understood her role – to share information about the change of Senator, and what it meant for the Sith Order.

Korsak hated politics with a passion he reserved for very few things in this galaxy. While subtle machinations and devious power plays were always a favorite of his, something about the noxious smell of oily sycophants and endless, dusty bureaucracy just made him nauseous. Lock the halls of power and throw a thermal grenade through the window, that was his approach to politics, but today he was making an exception. After all, he had played a hand in making Alyse TiVarnus a powerful player on Bakura, and he couldn't in good conscience leave without attending her acceptance speech.

Dressed in as close to finery as he owned, and having slipped close to the head of the crowd to get a good view of his ally on the podium, Korsak took in her speech. It was short, direct, a tad blunt, but it was better than the rambling introduction and memorial that proceeded it, and even Korsak saw the wisdom in this style. Being upfront and brief made ideas easily digestible to the masses, and would help Alyse indoctrinate them to accepting her no doubt pro-Sith tenure on Bakura. If she could present herself as honest, aggressive, and patriotic, then she could turn occupation into a matter of Bakuran independence, and dissenters into traitors and subversives.

Well, if she ever needed help keeping the peons in line, or had any further leads on the nature of the Darkside, she knew how to contact Korsak. Once the speech was over, the Amaran silently exited the crowd and returned to his ship. His new underling had proven somewhat useful, and he needed to return to Ontotho to continue his research.

Demolly listened to the speech, though she found her mind drifting half way through. There was a mix of emotions in the crowd, some of it was fear. And she had a hard time focusing when fear was in the air. She enjoyed fixating on it, stoking it and turning it into more. Spreading fear and breaking minds was part of her training and she'd enjoyed it a little too much for her own good.

But she still got the gist of the speech, and an idea firmly implanted itself in her mind at the end. She wasn't one to simply walk away when she saw potential in someone, or something. The Cadre member waited after the speech, and she'd keep waiting until Alyse walked off the podium before starting to move.

She'd make her way towards the Sith, mind tricking anyone who got in her way, telling them that they were friends. Once/if she got close, Demolly would eye the woman. "Mm, at least above an eight," she muttered to herself before actually looking the woman in the eyes. "I think we could be friends. Lucrative friends."

As she stepped down from the podium to join and mingle with the Floor, the blonde took a deep breath as she sensed the ebbs of the darkside at play, sensing the movements and departures of the two Sith that had helped deal the killing blow to the presence of what remained of the Cult that had delusions of grandeur. Manuk and Korsak's assistance in the machinations of the blonde Sith, to bring Bakura in as an unwitting proxy for the Sith Order - had not gone unnoticed, and when the time would come, support and resources would be made available for their respective endeavours and personal schemes should they need them.

After all, you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. Was certainly a favoured line amongst politicians with their own agendas.

Whilst she had sensed the fading presence of her allies as they drew further away from the chambers, the presence of the Darkside within the immediate area had not waned, quite the opposite it was building and drawing closer in proximity. She was not arrogant to claim that that growing presence was her own doing, which suggested to Alyse that there was at least another of the Sith's numbers within the building. Keeping a keen mind on the ebbs and flows of the Force around her, the blonde Governor exchanged pleasantries and hand shakes with the various politicians - some offering their condolences, whilst some keen to jump on the changing of the guard as it were by attempting to curry favour.

As she moved through the crowd, her senses started to dull out the drone of chatter around her, and focusing in on the periodic spikes in the Force being used, her chestnut hued gaze falling upon a slight framed female with silvery white hair who was making her way towards Alyse. Paying her no heed for the moment, choosing to act natural and continuing to do the rounds and walk the room. Until she was able to encounter the younger Sith naturally. A slight nod offered in response and affirmation as the Sith expressed her thoughts that they could be friends, a slight smile curled at the edge of her lips. "As do I" Alyse responded as offered her hand. "Alyse Ti'Varnus, I suspect that, we share a common interest perhaps?" she added, whilst a knowing glint carried in her gaze.

"Yes," Demolly replied frankly. Perhaps the woman didn't know exactly how much they had in common. Alyse was obviously looking to raise in the ranks, and Demolly was putting the pieces in place for her own ascension. Not on this planet, but in the Order. And she'd make no secret of it because if anyone wanted to oppose her, she wanted them to step out on her way up. She'd perfer to squash them now, get them out of her way.

She looked around at the crowd briefly, meeting eyes with Alyse again after a few seconds. "I'll talk in a place with less ears," she said. She'd let Alyse pick the area, and assumed the woman would have no qualms with a private chat. She'd likely be able to sense Demolly had no intentions of stabbing her, at least right now. Sometimes stabbing became necessary to survive a 'relationship' between Sith.

Assuming the woman lead them to a quieter place, she'd begin to speak. "I'm looking for more installments for my followers," she left it in the air. She wasn't aiming for a place here, but she wouldn't be opposed to it. In the end, what mattered the most was expansion, where mattered less. "You seem like a person who could help me with that." Demolly didn't offer anything directly in return. The obvious implication was "help me, I help you".

Nodding in understanding and affirmation of Demolly's statement that she would talk in a place with less ears, the blonde allowed a faint trace of a smile to curl on her lips. "Understood, we best retire to my chambers" Alyse offered, before gesturing for the white haired woman to follow her - cutting through the various senators and dignitaries, offering brief passing comments and promises to catch up with them on her return.

As soon as they had broken free of the throng, the blonde Sith lead the pair to her private chambers within the Governmental building. Stepping in and offering for her fellow Sith to enter, before stepping over to the side to lock the door and activate the office's privacy protocols, ensuring that what was discussed within the room stayed in the room. Stepping over towards her desk, Aylse reached over to pick up a packet of tabbac sticks, withdrawing one and making a offering gesture for Demolly to help herself before listening to what she had to say.

Raising a hand up towards her mouth, Alyse summoned a spark of pyromancy to ignite the end of her Tabbac stick, whilst in some respects it was perhaps little more than a simple parlour trick, in comparison to the powers that she had channelled - it was certainly had it's uses at times. Drawing on the smoke for a moment, and allowing it to fill her lungs, the blonde Sith's expression pursed in thought. "There are certainly opportunities that can help facilitate a regular means of gaining followers" Alyse spoke, after exhaling a plume of smoke. "There had been a recent glut of incarcerations in the wake of the recent riots, that unfortunately Bakura's penal system is struggling to cope with." Alyse announced before a wry grin curled on her lips. "I'm sure if there was a catalyst to ignite that bloated powder keg, there would be a cause for outsourcing the containment of this world's undesirables" she continued, thinking aloud, before stepping over towards the window that overlooked the capital city.

"That would give you a steady supply of individuals, to deal with as you see fit" the blonde resumed, as she turned her gaze back out from the surrounding city and back to the white haired Sith. "In the mean time however, there is small handful of cultists, left over from my father and his predecessor's deluded band of acolytes being held at my residence. Remnants of the recent culling of a threat to the Sith Order" Aylse added, before taking another drag on her tabbacc stick. "Whilst, I was unsuccessful in getting them to serve the true Sith Order, I am sure breaking their loyalty to their deluded prophets is something that you would be more adapt at" the Sith concluded, as a smirk crossed her features. Whilst Korsak and Manuk had claimed their respective spoils from the Cult's recent downfall, there was the matter of dealing with those who had retreated from the forest along with her father - and Demollys request for assistance in obtaining more followers, seemed like a perfect coincidence.

"I believe I could absorb them into the Children of Alkis. I am their one true god. Demi-gods may exist but ultimately it is my word above others," she shared, replying to the other Sith's comment about the broken cult.

Demolly felt no need keep her followers or status as their god secret. The more famous, the further the word traveled and the more men and women it could bring in. Letting the word travel freely could stir trouble as well, but she was already preparing against it the best she could. Her hold over her cultists were absolute. Either they followed or they'd be culled by their peers. She was putting an the effort to expand her followers across planets and land, making them much harder targets to go after.

"Give me and my children control of at least one of your detention centers, and provide two other facilities for us to work out of. We'll see that the men and women sent to our center will be put to good use, or culled. Once there's been time for you see my success, I'm sure you'll consider helping me gain control over other centers and facilities," she said. She wasn't sure what paperwork or channels would be necessary to go though for this set up—at least, not for this planet— but she assumed Alyse, a politician here, knew.

This deal seemed two fold for the other Sith too. Demolly took care of a problem for the planet and stood as a tool for Alyse to use should she need it. Of course, if Alyse understood her own peers, she'd know that the deal would only stand should she continue to be powerful and useful to Demolly.

A curious arch formed on the blondes eyebrow as the silver haired sith spoke of absorbing the left overs of the decimated cult into the Children of Alkis. The talk of Gods and demi gods being the cause of her peaked interest. Part wary with the mention of another cult, she had enough of a troublesome time with the Cult of Locura - perhaps it was just her own experiences that had stirred this reaction from her. Assuming that Demollys was true to her word, and that her rule was absolute over that of those that followed her, then there would at the least be a conclusion to any lingering blight that remained from Locuras deluded followers.

Moving over to her seat, Alyse lowered herself down, and reached down to a drawer underneath her desk. "Very well, I Will make arrangements for a private contractor to oversee the operation of our remote detention Centre, so to free up personnel to support the overstretched centres in the capital" The blonde sith spoke as she pulled out few sheets of parchment and a pen, conscious that given her company the elusive working was unnecessary, but it was good practice to get into the habit of masking her Sith related activities behind a political vaneer. Tapping the end of her pen against her head for a few moments, musing in her own thoughts, before proceeding to put pen to paper that would see the proverbial ball start rolling on this request. "I trust that there is perhaps a shell corporation that you would prefer this be in the name of? If not I'll just draw upon those aligned to the Order" she added as she briefly looked up from her scrawled words.

"Though I must confess, the Nature of your followers eludes me" Alyse spoke, as her gaze flitted between Demollys and the growing proposed bill she was preparing to put in front of the Governing committees. "it is one of the few draw backs to residing on a world that is as remote as Bakura, word does take a while reach these parts. Perhaps you could enlighten me as to the purpose of the Children of Alkis that see you as their sole deity?"

"You may put it under the Cadre Corporation," she said. The name might ring a bell with her brothers and sisters, and perhaps any surviving scientists but there was no way to know if the name was a coincidence or actually connected to a subject. Either way, it was a shell Corporation owned by her.

Demolly took a seat on a chair, crossing her legs and leaning back after the woman asked about her cult. "They believe the galaxy will end one day, in a bath of fire. If they unquestionably serve me, the Fire Goddess, upon their death they will be elevated into a dimension of endless pleasures. Either during the reckoning or before, it doesn't matter," she explained, tipping her head somewhat. "This is why they'll give their lives, violently, to please me."

And why followers that might question her or try to leave would be killed, because they knew she'd desire it. Anything and everything to please her. "And my desire is to cultivate their growth and spread them across the galaxy, to plant Sith presence everywhere I can. I plan to see some of my cultists in positions of power, to act as spies or to steer the course of things," she said with a shrug.

While the spread largely benefited her, it also befitted the order which was why she didn't mind explaining. And even if this Sith tried to cross her, Demolly would simply kill her. There was no way the woman could hunt down every location of her cult either. The number was rapidly growing.

Nodding in response to the name being offered for the shell company that was to become the front of the white haired Sith's grasp over the detention centre that Alyse had in mind for allocating as a recruitment farm for the Sith's Cult. It still felt strange to her, having not long ago removed the influence of a cult from Bakura, to then be inviting another onto the world - but as much as she wished she could resist, there was the un avoidable fact that she needed allies to help support and strengthen the Order's grasp on this world.

"Noted" Alyse spoke out as she moved her pen up towards the space she had left on her parchment, before dutifully scrawling in the company's name and then concluding the act by signing it off. Screwing the cap back onto her pen, before setting it down and then placing the sheet into a tray marked outgoing. "When the Senate sessions resume tomorrow, I will push this through" she added, before resting back against her seat, her gaze following Demolly as she sat herself down, before speaking and indulging Alyse with the nature of the cult that served her.

From the explanation that was offered by the white haired Sith, the Children of Alkis were painted into a light that seemed almost akin to a death cult, believing with blind devotion that their role was to lash out in vicious retribution in hope of the promise of ascending into a plane of pleasure. A stark contract to the beliefs that the Gotal, Locura would have continued to push into Bakura, had his ambitions not been met with an abrupt fiery end at the hands of the newly appointed Governor. "A stark contrast to that of the Cult that had once resided here. Locura and his disciple. My Father would merely have sought only to fatten themselves for their own gain and greed, in defiance of the true nature of the Force" Alyse offered before picking up her tabbacc stick once again and reigniting the end with a snap of her fingers.

A wry smile crossed her features, as Demolly's went on to explain her plans and ambition for the cult that followed her, seeking to place those in her thrall into positions of power. "Perhaps then I may be able to afford you greater assistance" Alyse commented before dragging on her cigarette and holding the smoke in her lungs for a moment. "Planting your followers into positions of power is one thing, but to have them hold a position of influence would perhaps be of better benefit" the blonde continued after exhaling a plume of smoke. "If there are certain disciples that you deem fit, arrangements can be made for them to be sponsored to study at the Bakur Senatorial Academy. To train and educate them in the matters of political governance" she added, before pausing for a moment, to stub out her tabbacc stick into the nearby ashtray.

"However, I trust that facilitating the growth of your followers" Alyse commented, after a brief silence. "You will afford me access to your followers for certain matters, such as disposing of any political opposition, or gathering of information should the need arise"
