Tacitus checked over the mission brief again even as he walked through the crowded street of one of the many, many, seedy lower levels of Coruscant. With how busy the Jedi and the Rangers were with the rest of the Galaxy, he could see why the Sith and the Syndicates had struck at the planet in the past few years especially. Always sure to make the news if you hit Coruscant even if it wasn't, really, a big job.

Kark, if his own mission went poorly he might be seeing his face on wanted posters and the holonet by the end of the night... or whatever passed for night so far down in the city of Coruscant that neon was the only light source anyway. He pulled up the mission he had been given from a burner email from one of Preef's guys - nothing more than a vague request to take make something that had been stolen.

But he knew enough subtext to read between the lines and know that what was stolen was Syndicate territory.

Now Tacitus wasn't a member of one of the Syndicate's families but he was a man who lived and died by their success - his ship was tied to theirs for the foreseeable future so it was in his best interests to make sure things went well. Hence why he was now standing outside a nightclub that had once done a good trade for the Syndicate as a hub for picking up jobs for the Syndicate and returning when the job was done.

It was where someone could get a drink, pick up a job, do the job, return the job, get paid and then pay a dancer for a good time. The kind of place that catered so very well to underground types that it had been a tempting target for a minor local gang to take over with the influx of their local muscle being returned to them by the prison break out and, later, the Ranger HQ attack that had let more of them free and even more of them out of lock up due to 'issues stemming from lack of compelling evidence'.

He lit up a cigara as he waited to see if anyone from the Syndicates was going to show up - he knew he wasn't the only one to get the job after all.

"The lower levels of Coruscant are flooded with criminals right now. A lot of the toughest prison blocks were empties after the Sector Rangers lost their evidence room and they think they can just reclaim what now belongs to syndicate-back gangs. Let them know we still rule the galactic underworld."

A man in what looked like beskar would approach Tac from the side, the neons of the undercity dancing vibrant colors on his urban dyed armor. He had heard rumor that the lesser gangs of Coruscant had begun to overtake parts of the Undercity and he knew that eventually the Syndicates would come back to reclaim it. He wasn't sure who Tacitus was, but he could tell by the way the man was dressed, he was way better off than the has-beens inside.

Whistling as he drew close, his visor focused on the joint. "Not half bad.. Guess after all the blood, the blacklights will reveal even more, eh?" he'd laugh as he pulled his Peacemaker free, giving it a once over. "So, waiting for a posse? Or do you just want to go on in and make some noise?"

When a cry went up for breaking some people's kneecaps, Vri was always there to answer to the clarion call of wanton, profitable violence. Hence why, when an open request came up for some Syndicate muscle to help reopen a business that had just come under new, non-Syndicate management, Vri leapt at the opportunity to commit a few felonies for a good cause. The good in this case being lining her constantly-emptying pockets with more creds. And so she came sauntering down the street to the meeting zone, hips swaying to the music, various piercings glinting in the holo-lights, neon-purple mohawk bopping to the beat of the, admittedly trashy, music emanating from the club.

She hadn't expected the front entrance to be so crowded, however, with a sharp-dressed human and someone in some heavy-duty kit hanging around the entrance. They might have been reinforcements for the Syndicate operation, or bouncers, or just random patrons, but either way she knew laying eyes on both of them that this was going to be a fun night out on the town.

"I get him showing up for this," She grinned and gestured lazily to the armored person before turning to eye up his better dressed companion. "But you look like you should be snorting 'stim off a Twi'lek's back right now."

Renfry wasn't exactly a member of the Syndicates, but the Sith and the Syndicates had a developing relationship, and Renfry was here to help strengthen that relationship. She'd heard about the job through a member of the Cartel she had bumped into while on another job, and headed this way.

She didn't have the look of an enforcer or gunslinger to her and had no visible weapons to speak of. Her hair was pulled back and bound behind her, dangling under the back of the helmet, her outfit was practical and mobile with gloves over her hands, and the helmet hid any of her other features. And yet she seemed entirely unfazed by what was presumably going to be a mission that ended in violence and she was weaponless.

She arrived to hear some grumping from another of the members of the group and something about stim and Twi'leks. My, my, an interesting group, she thought to herself with a smirk.

Well, if he doesn't make it out, more credit for the rest of us, she said with a tone that left an uncertain feeling as to whether it was friendly or not.

Are we expecting anyone else? she asked. Either way, she had a feeling this would be an interesting evening. @Nefieslab @Rhogar @The Captain

Taking a deep pull of the cigara he had managed to light even in the dampness of the under-city, he eyed the armoured man heading his way. Didn't look like he was from one of the Syndicate families and his armor looked... off. It looked like someone had decided to try and emulate how beskar looked using other materials. Probably actually was a Mando to get the look down so well.

If he was here for the job he looked good for it.

"Reckon we shouldn't go in all by ourselves - better to let others join the fun."
he answered, eyeing the Rodian female heading their way and raising an eyebrow at her comments, "Not on work days."

His brother was more the type but, eh, what did it matter if people made assumptions. Drawing his WESTAR-55 from it's holster underneath the jacket of his suit, he checked it's ammo count as someone else joined the 'posse'. They moved like they were accustomed to dancing which, in his experience, meant she was probably a Force User. When you saw one of their type move, even before a shot was fired, they were all grace.

Lethal dancers the lot of them.

"No we're ready to go."
he responded with a nod, "If I die - I keep my credits in the inner right breast pocket."

Might as well make it easier on them - he wouldn't care cus he'd be dead at the time.

"Plan's simple... raise hell, kill anyone who raises a weapon to you and we trap the bosses in their panic room office. When they call their reinforcements? Kill them too."
he grinned as he started walking up to the door, gesturing to the doorman, "He's a decent guy though; let him run."

He'd always liked Francis when he'd visited in the past.

Taldorak would glance at the rodian with the vibrant hawk, and despite her not looking ready for a fight, he dug the look. "Everyone knows the best way to snort stim off of them is from the lekku, hell, even the front side."

As the other woman joined he couldn't help but laugh. "Kriffsakes, I feel way overdressed for this event now... Or is it underdressed? Next time, let me know if it's a black suit affair, yeah?" He twirled the peacemaker in his hand a bit.

"If we take heavy fire and you don't have cover, feel free to use me. It can take a beating before I go down. And if I die, feel free to sell it all. Even the organs."

As Tac headed for the door, Taldorak would nod at the last bit, giving Francis a wave of his gun. "Run along, mate. It's about to get a tad, louder." Being the most armored, he felt it was only fair he went first to draw the fire. Upon entry, his first two bolts were centered on the two closest bouncers, who's surprise was only expressed through the shrill before they died. Twenty eight shots til the next reload. Ooh, he was going to have some fun.

"Ha!" Vri wasn't expecting the tin-man to be the snappy one, but she wasn't complaining. "Well if this goes well maybe you and I can go find some. I already got the afterparty right here."

She patted the right chest pocket of her secretly armored jacket, the same pocket she always kept a little pinch of spice in for occasions just like this. And on the subject of parties, Vri watched with some interest as the oddly helmeted woman stepped forward, commenting that if the suit bit a bolt they'd all be richer. Sure, that was a given, but you weren't supposed to say anything like that out loud. Especially if you wanted to thin the heard yourself and collect and even bigger pot, not that Vri was looking to shoot anyone in the back.

Although it seemed these guys were determined to make betraying them more profitable, openly offering up their secret stashes of credits and saying their corpses could be sold on the black market. Vri couldn't tell if that was an encouraging display of loyalty or a sign of mind-numbing insanity.

"Don't look at me. If I bite it in there and you start going through my pockets, I'll haunt you." With that, she drew the cut-down EE-3 carbine from her jacket pocket and rolled a loud crick out of her neck. Couldn't go storming a nightclub with a sore neck, after all. She let the armored man run the bouncer off and clear out the two bouncers by the door, earning two screams from the dying men and utter chaos from the rest of the bar's confused and terrified patrons.

Security guards and loyal patrons drew their weapons, but ignored them in favor of poking around her new teammate and firing a volley of five six shots into the bar. This killed one of the bartenders, sent the other diving for cover, and shattered two bottles of booze on the back shelf. Vri hoped that would keep the man from grabbing the blaster that was no doubt under the bar and catching them in a crossfire.

Renfry found it all rather humorous. She didn't care much for whether or not she was supposed to openly talk about others dying. Death was a natural part of life, and in this business, everyone knew that at best it was every man for himself or herself.

Mmm, promises, promises, she said as the woman threatened to haunt anyone who robbed her corpse. Renfry knew more than most about death, spirits, and hauntings. It was all quite fascinating, but despite all the talk, she didn't actually hope for any of them to die.

While the others went in the front door, Renfry didn't move forward, her eyes sweeping up to the front and then side of the building. She skirted around the side, finding a window and watching the gunfire inside. And then she spotted what she was looking for.

Outside and alone, no one would be able to see what she did next. She focused on the Force, a flash of green consumed her and then reappeared within the bar, at the back near the privies where no one's attention was focused and her teammates couldn't see. They didn't need to know her tricks, only that she was now on the flank of those who they were fighting. Another flash of green produced a small knife in her hand and she moved forward.

She came up behind one of the gunmen inside the bar and plunged the knife into the side of the neck of the gunslinger. He went down silently in a heap of blood. She was like a freaky ninja, and was perfectly happy to begin working her way like the reaper through the back of the enemy force.

Tacitus had to wonder if it was just a Syndicate thing to have such vibrant characters coming along for the ride - he doubted that the Rangers had to deal with such eccentric characters. They'd probably be a lot less uptight if they did. He nodded to the bouncer he had marked out for living.

"Francis."
he smiled slightly, "Good to see you."

Letting the armored man go in first was just the smart play and the Rodian woman had a carbine - all good reasons to hang back a little bit. He glanced around for the helmet-wearing member of their little group and frowned at not seeing her at all... either she was sneakier than he thought or she had bailed. Either way, Tacitus decided it was about time he moved up into the bar and let them know what this was all about.

He blasted twice into a Trandoshan's chest when the large sentient tried to rise from a booth to run. He didn't care if it was to run at them or from them; he had a job to do and patrons were acceptable losses as far as the bosses were concerned. Only the people in the VIP lounge, people who had useful contacts, were worth a damn and they were well protected behind some blaster-proof glass for now.

It could change if they decided they were going to be difficult.

Tacitus vaulted over the bar, landing atop the corpse of the bartender the Rodian had gunned down, pressing the end of his blaster against the temple of another who had been cowering down there with the corpse. They didn't look armed but, well, he didn't really care so he pulled the trigger, blasting their head apart. Looking up, he caught sight of their other team member at the other end of the bar... sneaky it was then; very skilled indeed.

"Mando! Get the patrons out of here."
he commanded as the guard numbers began to thin, "Rodian - drag every karking one of the VIP shite-stains out and line them up. If they don't pledge to the Syndicates right then make sure they lose their heads."

He didn't really get the impression the helmet-ninja would appreciate him giving away her position by shouting at her.

Taldorak would laugh as fired three more times, killing two more bouncers, or maybe one and a civvie? Who cares, he didn't. At Tac's orders he'd fire another three bolts over the head of the crowd "All of you filthy bastards out! Last two to cross the threshold, die!" there was an outcry of surprise as patrons began screaming and running for the door. Twenty-two shots. Some of the stragglers that ran past him would receive kicks to the rear. "Let's look alive, dammit! These times are rookie numbers!"

A small fight would break out by the door as a group tried to struggle for who would exit first. Taldorak would grin beneath his helm. Six lovely volunteers for last. His left bracer would begin to glow before he fired a round of whistling birds into four of the would-be combatants. "Rejoice! You two were just ahead of the other four." Taldorak would say. Panicked, the other two ran for the door but stopped just shy of the threshold as he dropped each of them with a bolt to the back of the head. "Hod, I love this osik!" he let out a whoop as he twirled his peacemaker in hand. Twenty shots.

With the suit covering the bar and the guy apparently named 'Mando' covering the civies, Vri found herself on the least fun duty of all, taking the VIPs alive. Her already annoyed state wasn't helped by the fact that the human apparently knew the other human on a first name basis, but just called her 'Rodian'. Rude.

"Whatever you say, Human." She grumbled and shoved her way through the panicked patrons, shooting anyone that looked even remotely like a threat, stacking up five more bodies and a lot of carbon scoring damage to the bar by the time she reached the hallway to the panic room.

Here, she barely rounded the corner before a guard, having hidden just around the corner when the fighting started, sprang out in a panic and shot Vri in the chest with a blaster pistol. The heat and force of the blast bled through Vri's armor, knocking her back into a table as the pain radiated through her chest. Fortunately for her, the guard instead turned to Mando, not knowing he'd just hit Vri in her blast vest, leaving him open to two gut shots.

"...wait a minute..." As Mando mopped up the last of the residents, Vri caught a whiff of burnt spice and realized where she'd been shot: right in the spice pocket, destroying her entire victory party. Someone was going to bleed for this.

Vri took a second to obliterate the guard's head with a shot from her carbine before drawing her pistol and marching down the hall to the locked panic room door.

"Open up! Open up you kriff-kicking, shrak-sucking fraks, or I'll burn this skrogging place down on top of you!" Even she didn't know if she was joking or not, since she was running on a mixture of profound outrage and mild spice fumes, causing her to beat wildly at the door and shoot up every piece of décor in the hallway. Thankfully she'd never get to make good on that threat, as the door opened after a few moments and a collection of fat, greasy, and/or ugly-as-sin people, hands raised.

A few well placed kicks and a couple of blaster burns in the ceiling later, Vri almost literally threw the terrified criminals out into the main room, one by one, until they were all lined up on their hands and knees. For a little emphasis, and to vent her frustrations, Vri stomped over to the nearest, fattest wannabe crimeboss and kicked him in the gut hard enough to leave him gasping for air.

Rafe growled as he quick stepped through the streets of the undercity, he was late, some fifteen minutes late, hoofing it cause the kriffing public transport of this dam city.. planet.. whatever was just as useless as the 'government' that ran it, and especially those dam Sector Rangers Rafe scoffed as he walked, luckily he was about a meter, or more, taller than the vast majority of the inhabitants that crowded the streets, luckily his lupine features, and vicious teeth showing when he snarled, caused most people to move out of his way as he stormed through the street.

Rafe had brought a poncho to cover up most of his armour, he'd elected to forgo his helmet this time, through the impending chaos of what was about to go down Rafe wanted them to see him.. Rafe was about a block away when he started hearing the blaster fire. Kriff.. he knew he was late, but he had hoped to of not been too late to miss it..

Rafe broke out into a jog, his peacemaker in his right hand. People began funneling out the front door like they were being herded, Rafe ducked down the side of the building, kicking open a side door and ducking inside. He'd find his way into the main dance floor just before the chaos had started to die down, Kriff.. he whispered to himself, picking up an already blasted body, clawing its neck apart leaking the blood over his arms and poncho.

Rafe walked into the room, tossing the body down with a heavy wet thud, then nodded to whomever else looked like Syndicate affiliates in the room, a nod that said, 'yea, of course I've been here the whole time..'

Renfry continued along the back wall of the bar as the gunshots fired. There were a lot of misses. She had to remind herself that most of these thugs were just that: thugs. Though her teammates seemed to be doing better, the number of blaster shots that were coming from her targets and hitting nothing but wall were... laughably high.

She stopped where she was, eyes scanning the room, and not feeling any need to take cover. One of them was getting the VIPs, one was shouting from the bar, one was herding patrons out, and... who was the new person? She frowned behind her helmet, but he didn't seem to be attacking her, so that was fine.

She spotted a young woman - probably only a year or two older than herself - curled up under a table, head covered. She grabbed the woman by her shirt, hauled her to her feet, and shoved her toward the door.

Get out of here! she said, watching her scurry off to the exit as quickly as possible. And don't come back to a place like this again if you can't handle yourself, she added in her mind.

Renfry turned to the bathrooms again, checking that there was no one else remaining inside. The last thing any of them needed was a surprise bandit getting a lucky shot in when their backs were turned. @Nefieslab @Mad Dog @Rhogar @The Captain

The Mando was clearing people out as fast as they could move and he was doing a good job of it - threats of violence tended to find a way to get people moving in his own experience as well. That he didn't need to take over the situation was appreciated. Good help was hard to find but seemed to be in good supply on this job actually.

All the better in his mind.

Suddenly seeing the Rodian almost go down made him spin to face the new target, only to be beaten to the punch by the Rodian herself. Relaxing ever so slightly, he nodded to the Rodian as she pulled the VIPs out and they were lined up. He eyed the newcomer down the length of his barrel... before recognizing Rafe from the briefing he'd gotten from Preef.

He lowered his blaster pistol with a nod to the big guy before leaving the bar.

"Mando and Hawk - go down the line of VIPs. If they swear loyalty to the Syndicates, take an ear but let them run off."
he told them as he made his way to a back wall that looked very much blank, "If they hesitate, slit their throats."

He waved to the big one.

"Rafe - I need your ears. There's a panic-room against this wall but I can't find it. Help me find it."
he paused and he stared at Renfry for a moment, "... not even sure what to call you actually. Scout out front please - we should be getting reinforcements in pretty quick."

As the Rodian went down, he spun and twirled his peacemaker. "Hawk, ya whole?" seeing that she was fine, he'd switch gears, more movement catching his attention. Renfry, the sith apparent seemed to have some reservations about killing the woman she escorted to the door, a sentiment he would respect.

And as the giant fur mat entered, the peacemaker drifted to him, thankfully, Tac seemed to recognize him, so the shot didn't come. He twirled his blaster and holstered it, heading over to the now forming line of VIP's, smacking one for good measure as he passed. "Alrighty. Which one of you ugly kriffers want to beg for your life first? Eenie... Meanie.." he mused as he walked past a few, stopping before the one that looked the most flustered. "You, shitbird. You giving your loyalty to the Syndicate?" the man would take a few seconds too long thinking about it and out the peacemaker came and he fired a quick bolt into the man's temple. There were a few seconds where he wobbled back and forth before collapsing, Tal laughing all the while as he re-holstered the blaster.

Once the last twitch came, he shifted to the next guy with a shrug "I guess the burden was too much to bear.. Now you want to swear loyalty, right?"

"I'll give you a 'Hawk' you kriffing..." She grumbled under her breath, having not yet realized the purpose of the human's nickname system. She was taken out of her frustration somewhat when a giant, blood-caked, hairy creature jumped off the top railing and landed in their midst, but since it didn't start swinging and nobody shot at it, Vri paid the shaggy thing no mind. She had bigger frakkers to fry.

"You! Syndicate?" She just grabbed a VIP off the line and pressed her carbine tightly to the side of his head while he gasped and sputtered for a coherent response, taking one second too long for Vri's liking. She threw him on his back before putting two shots into his gut, leaving the man to clutch and groan before he gasped out his last breath. Normally she would be having fun with this sort of power trip, but she was still pissed about having her spice shot and felt like taking that out on these helpless prisoners.

"You!-"

"I'll support the Syndicate, I'll support the Syndicate, just stop!" The man blubbered out a confirmation of loyalty before Vri got a chance to finish her threat, how rude. She reared back and stomped on the man's leg with her steel-toed boots, earning her a sickening crunch and a lot of helpless screaming from the man.

"Don't interrupt!"

Rafe hopped up enthusiastically, it wasn't that he wanted to play hide and seek with the kriffing panic room, much the opposite, but he needed to jump at the opportunity to try to convince the rest of the group he had been here and contributing the whole time, still feeling a bit angry at himself for being late.

Crossing the room and holstering his peacemaker, Rafe was ineffective at stifling at chuckle when the Rodian, whose apparent codename was 'Hawk' crushed the man's leg. In truth Rafe hadn't studied the blueprints he'd been sent, so when @Tacitus Agrippa called for his help he was relying on him knowing what he was talking about.

Rafe covered his left ear with one claw, and placed his right lupine ear against the wall, his right claw sort of cupping it to try and hear the best through the wall. The cries of the 'VIPs' were making his job harder, but after dragging his ear a few meters, occasionally flipping a table out of his way, he could hear what sounded like muffled mumblings coming through the wall, probably a durasteel plated wall on the other side. Rafe stepped back, though he couldn't see anything that looked like an obvious entrance like perhaps a false bookcase, or painting or the like.

Rafe motioned to the section of wall he'd heard the mumbling through and drew his peacemaker once more with his left claw this time and began blasting over and over, the heavy bolts disintegrating the outer wall, and burning up a bit of the durasteel but not actually penetrating it yet. Rafe lowered his blaster, and raised his right claw, the recoil of what happened next would of rocked a lesser being, but thankfully Rafe was about a meter taller, and many many kilos heavier than the humans who built this technology, meaning that the repulsor mounted on his right wrist went off he was barely affected by the pushback.

Rafe smiled as the rippling in the air infront of him impacted what was hopefully this panic room they were looking for, sending massive chunks of the outer wall flying and denting the durasteel in significantly, even doing so much as to form tears in it's structure, now that there was a clear path of air in and out of it the screams from inside filled Rafe's ears, brining a smile to his face, they weren't in yet, but dammit if the people inside didn't know they were coming..

Renfry poked through the bathroom stalls in both rooms to make sure that no one was hiding there before reaching out to the Force. She let her mind creep over the building, feeling the fear, anger, and violence within the building.

She didn't know if others were coming to retake the building, but she moved out and into the main room as she watched the others rough up the variety of VIPs that the gangs had come here for.

Renfry walked to the front of the building and looked out the door as people began to scramble away in the streets. She didn't see anyone coming, but surely on Coruscant there wouldn't be open war on the streets. Even in the undercity, an outright battle was likely to bring in Coruscant Security Force, and Renfry didn't fancy having to escape from them or the Sector Rangers.

Tacitus was happy with the level of progress they were making, letting the Mando and the Rodian get on with their own tasks as he helped direct Rafe. Thankfully for everyone involved, Rafe knew what he was doing when it came to targetted destruction and after a few moments the safe-room was suddenly not quite as safe as it had been before. He held up a hand to signal Rafe to hold on for a moment before moving up closer to the breach in the room.

It wasn't anywhere near big enough to see inside or throw a grenade in or out; just enough to speak and listen through though. Tacitus clapped his hands loudly to try and gain their attention.

"Hello in there!"
he called out with false cheer, "You seem to be under the delusion that this club, that this territory, belongs to you. When, in fact, you live by the grace of the Syndicate families!"

A voice sounded out from inside.

"Our men are on their way! We'll kill you all and remind the Syndicates that we control the local areas and we will not be bullied!"

Tacitus raised an eyebrow and shared a look with his compatriots, gesturing to the safe room.

"They say they can't be bullied because they have more men coming for us. Do you think they'll still be singing the same tune when we kill their trusted reinforcements? I think they will."
he 'assumed' rather loudly so they could hear him, "Rafe; keep blasting until you can drag them out. The rest of us might need to step out to fend off their vultures."

As the voice within the safe-room had said, there were people coming for them. Two speeders arrived at the end of the road, ten local gang members spilling out from them armed with rifles and some grenades. They were the best that the locals had to offer and they had better hardware as a result.

Taldorak was just about to cut off the ear of a rather eager ally when he heard the speeders pull up. There was a frown beneath the helm followed by an aggravated sigh. There was nothing more disrespectful than an interruption. At least in this moment, who knows that belief could change later.

"Oh.. you wiley kriffs.." he would slap the new ally playfully on the cheek before he withdrew, allowing him to keep the ear. He would then step over to the man he shot, quickly setting to work at removing the head. At Tac's question, he looked up. "I'd say you let the pup eat one of em while they still have a pulse, that'll fear em into line."

By the time he finished, he would pause to add a little something extra to the package. He could hear the men outside nearly done with preparations, a wonderful sign. "Time to kick this off, Tal." He mused to himself with a laugh as he rolled his shoulders, cracking them. "Time for maximum effort."

Bloodied head in hand, he walked to the door, slipping past Renfry "Excuse me, dala." As he exited he held the head high in the air. "Oi! Who's boss is this?!" With no proper response, the new most disrespectful thing, he'd launch the head at one of the speeders and those that weren't quick enough would be thrown by the thermal detonator he rigged in the head.

Unphased by the planned blast, he advanced into the open, peacemaker sending bolts down range. The plan went off without a hitch, but there was the problem of now they were firing back. Oh how the best of plans could become unraveled. His body jerked as a dozen bolts began to pepper his cuirass, one of them punching through to pierce his side.
