Herrith sat up sluggishly to the sound of a call from her comlink. Nobody except for her friends had that link. And this sure as hell was a bad time to call if it was them.

Which it wasn't.

The face of an oddly recognizable Zeltron was on the screen. It took her a second, and then she realized who it was. Leaning over, her vision focused and she grabbed the link, wincing at the slight pain in her ribs. The recent dealing with her being blown up was still a fresh memory, and it did impair her slightly. The face cleared once more. By the Force. Oh no.

Sya. The good child. The favorite. She was on planet, somewhere. After a few more buzzes, Herrith clicked the link and sat there, anger rising as fast as anxiety. She hadn't seen her family, or even another Zeltron...in years. Years were a very, very long time. Then a voice came through, panicked but just like the peppy little bastard she knew.

"Herrith?! Herrith?! Hello? Kriff, is this even the right bloody number...hello?! Please, someone, I really need help...these...people are after me! Weird, scaly, disgusting things. They have, like, these cattle prod things, and they-they hurt! Hello-"

"Sya? Little sis? Kriffin' hell, why are you here?! Where-where are you? Who's chasing you? Wh-"

"Shh. They're-they're in the building. I-I.."

"Sya, listen, I need you to listen to me. Focus. Where are you? Give me an address."

"Uh, um-Oh! 232 Wechet Apartments..please, Herrit-"

The link ended. She cursed. Lost connection. Or worse. Wechet apartments. That wasn't far. She wrapped her blaster holster around her leg and grabbed her gear, tossing on her jacket before opening the apartment door, locking it behind her. Slavers, most likely. Her sister possessed the same attractiveness and physical features she did, except with a slightly different face. And she knew from experience just how much Zeltrons were in demand. Sliding down the guardrail, Herrith almost plowed over a Rodian, setting out to the streets, breaking out into a sprint while also attempting to call Sya again. As much as she wished she couldn't care less about her family, this was her little sister, which as she recalled was a goody two-shoes keetar freg. So why'd she leave Zeltros? What the kriff happened? Her thoughts were cut short as she reached Wechet. 432. 432. 432. She found the door was locked, and pulled a knife, stabbing the panel before opening the door to run inside. There was commotion on the stairs, struggling and screaming. Drawing her blaster, the Zeltron hardly had time to react as a Trando came running down with Sya in a bridal carry, kicking and screaming. A moment's hesitation was all it took for the experienced slavers to fire, making her dive behind a column.

"Back up the sssstaiirssss! Shut up, annoying schutta!"

Heavy steps went back up, and Herrith fired two more blasts before running up as well, stopping short while a concussion grenade plopped down at her feet.

Kaboom.

Stumbling to the ground, she held her head as the ringing in her ears and the pain in her skull intensified. They weren't lethal, but they hurt. A lot. Her vision returned and she stumbled to her feet, using the guardrail as support, and ascending much slower than the lightning-fast slavers. One last scream for help, and then cut off. The door to the roof. She had no time left. There must have been an airspeeder. Her pace picked up, skipping steps four at a time, till she reached the top of the four-story complex. A speeder was taking off, the only one there.

"Oh, son of a Krayt dragon and Gods damn you, Sya!"

She ran for the speeder, halting as it took off, into the skyline. Kriff. They were gone. But she wasn't about to give up yet. Underworld connections had their benefits.
