Flynn had decided that he was going to be proactive but being proactive tended to be something that got people noticed and got people in a lot of hot water. Hence why the best thing to do was to bring in outside help; time to bring in friends!
The job he had given himself and his allies right now was a rather modest one; he wanted some explosives. Naturally these were not the level of explosives that one could just stumble across. No, the explosives he was looking for were the kind typically used for large-scale rock destruction, the kind that was used in blast mining but with some slight amount of elegance.
He was looking for explosives used to blast open walls and doors of tombs.
The people of Onderon might not have many tombs but Dxun? Oh Dxun had more than a few and they were the type that guarded their secrets with traps. What was the best way for non-Jedi to get through traps set up by freaky Sith? Blow the heck out of the traps until there was no more traps! Was Flynn planning on using these charges for that purpose?
Heck no.
Spooky Force stuff could stay right where it was.
But his actual goal? Well that could be obtained through the careful application of high explosives so here he was, observing a local swoop gang from the safety of a crowded market square, eating some local food with Doc at his side. This swoop gang in particular had just done a little heist to liberate the charges he needed from an expedition that had been planned for Dxun. He'd found out because they'd put the word out on the holonet that they were looking to sell them; rather stupid all things considered.
Flynn didn't have the credits but when had that ever stopped him?
"See how many of them there are, Doc?"
