(OOC: Please all political figures looking to add influece among their factions join! It can be one rep from each or more or less. Flauki needs a faction he can rely on!)

Welcome to Vendaxa! This meeting is in regards of where Vendaxa's allegiance should align. The planet needs a strong influence to flow through it as far as FWA troops and Rangers, or perhaps the likes of the ISC with their growing power and influence. The Sith and Jedi offer protection as well, though the Sith are undeniably larger and stronger. Either way Flauki knows that Vendaxa has an offer to give in return to the political party that gives the better offer to he and his people. The growth of this planet's economy and agriculture has shown promise, and Flauki Ubbeson looks to move up in the world by joining a stronger political party.

Within the board room Flauki had awaited the arrival of the political figures invited to the meeting. The tall slender man would stand on the phone in the room with one of his advisers by the main round table. He was within the exact board room he was elected Governor in. This was where he felt comfortable meeting political figures. They would be able to learn the true essence of Vendaxa through here rather than some space vessel.

"No, I have told you countless times we need to keep the people of Agsurd in the debates. It doesn't matter if they have a small or large population, votes are votes. The people speak for this planet, not just me."

Secretary Hipori had arrived in the system earlier in the day, her ship punching through the thick clouds of Vendaxa with a discrete escort, bringing her down to the ISC consulate in the Government quarter. Since arriving, she had not stopped, bustled quickly into a meeting with the planetside agents of the ISCs diplomatic corps and security branches, briefing her as they did on the planet, its economy and political structure. By midday, she had a rough knowledge of the planet, and a few tidbits to take with her into the forthcoming meeting.

And, almost as swiftly as she had arrived at the consulate, she was changing into something more suitable for a diplomatic meeting and was back out the door to her shuttle. Dressed in a soft blue business suit, a blue skirt and a white shirt, set off with a chromium broach showing the a triumphant Acklay, one of the Vendaxian natives, she projected power, but not intimidation. Julia wasted no time, ducking her head as she exited the shuttle upon its arrival, flanked by two well-dressed men from the ISC Diplomatic Protection Corp, she made progress to the meeting room, pausing outside for the person with whom she was meeting to conclude their call, before nodding to the waiting droid to open the door.

"Governor," she inclined her head as a mark of respect, and extended a data chit "...it is a pleasure to meet you, and to present my credentials as an Ambassador from the ISC, appointed by his excellency, President Thorne."

With her credentials presented for examination, she waited for the Governor to welcome her, and otherwise kept her thoughts to herself.

Any preconceived notions of the Jedi Order being a bunch of pacifistic pushovers would be instantly quelled by the sight of Drow Venn. The former mercenary still carried the many scars on his body from his old life while his ceremonial Jedi armor sparkled in the well-lit halls leading up to the Vendaxa board room. Two lightsabers hung from Drow's belt and he was flanked by two intimidating-looking YD security droids - a prize he had won from the last Sith he'd fought. The droids had been reprogrammed and repainted so they now were shining white with the symbol of the order emblazoned on their chest.

The droids waited outside as Drow stepped into the conference room, giving a curt nod to the ISC representative but smiling more openly at the governor as he took his seat. This would be an important meeting and though Drow was far from the Order's most successful diplomat, he'd had enough experience both negotiating and on the battlefield that the Order thought it wise to send him to persuade Vendaxa of the military and other benefits of throwing in with the Jedi Order.

"Governor, it's an honor." Drow said politely.

Before her arrival, Sutton consulted the Republic's diplomatic archives on Vendaxa. An interesting world without a doubt. Lush, almost verdant in places, with a rich eco-system. It lay close to both FWA and ISC space, which presented a problem. But wouldn't it be oh so satisfying to overcome that?

After various in-flight communications with the Republic Consulate, as well as their expert on planets of the Expansion region, Senator Rayne arrived on planet. Immediately, she arranged for the shipment she'd brought with her to be taken to the Governor's mansion. A hefty shipment of the finest Commenorian brandies that money could buy, sent with a handwritten note.

In the spirit of co-operation, unity and prosperity for all. I look forward to greater links between our worlds. Sutton Rayne.

Sutton arrived in the meeting room shortly afterwards, styled in her classic dark-blue suit and pink blouse. Pinned to one lapel was a beautifully rendered brooch in the shape of the New Republic skybird. A short distance behind her were two suited members of her own Senatorial security operation.

"Governor Ubbeson. It is absolutely lovely to meet you," she said, bowing her head. "I bring warm greetings from Chancellor Owusaan, and his unending regrets that he couldn't attend this meeting personally. I believe the Republic sent over my credentials earlier? Senator Sutton Rayne." She accompanied her opening with a warm smile.

She noticed the presence of Secretary Hipori and the mysterious newcomer besides her, giving a quick and respectful nod of the head to both.

"Yes, finally you listen ahaha. Thank you mayor, goodbye."

Ending his call he would throw his phone back into his pocket as he would notice a woman entering his board room. She must be one of the members of the political parties invited. The credentials she provided were enough to put a smile on Flauki's face as he would return the greeting she so warmly given to the man.

"Thank you for coming Ms. Hipori! I have a seat reserved for you, I had received word you were going to be in attendance. Please do come in and have a seat, if you need a drink or anything please feel free to let my server droid know what you require and he shall get it for you."

As he was finished speaking he would receive another greeting, this time from an alien species. They brandished lightsabers on their belt, they must have been a Jedi. The man didn't give that vibe to Flauki when he had sat down. They sat in their reserved seat across from Secretary Hipori, showing his name to be Jedi Master Drow Venn.

"The pleasure is all mine Master Venn. Please do help yourself to the refreshments."

Flauki was genuinely happy that the political parties were accepting the invitations and sending respectful representatives to his home world. Their security details were escorted to the back of the room behind their representatives. Flauki knew it would give them comfort to have them present. The Governor of Vendaxa was walking to the server droid himself that by the main entrance when another representative had entered the room.

"Ah yes! Senator Rayne, it is a pleasure to have you here and fear not. I know when a man is truly busy, and that man.. he is a truly busy man. Please do take your seat. You were sat next to Master Drow Venn."

Flauki was ready for the meeting to start but he had a feeling others would make it to the room a little late. So instead he would take a sip of his glass and head to his seat where he sat and then set his drink on the coaster in front of him.

"It is good to have you here ladies and gent. Please do tell me you found your way here safely, I know there are some portions to my home world that are quite dangerous. My militia are dealing with that as we speak. The Acklay have been causing trouble on the outskirts of some of my finer cities, and we look to harbor them and train them. It is a difficult task I know, some say impossible.. but I say. Give it a shot!"

A smile crept onto his face as he looked to his counter parts sitting with him.

"My thanks Governor." Julia replied, requesting water from the droid, not keen to start drinking ahead of an important meeting.

Their host continued to welcome the other guests, before working through the labours of the day, most notably an issue with the local fauna, which they appeared to now be training up. Julia let the issue pass, after all, discussions on combat-beasts were not really why they were here. "The ingenuity is fascinating, Governor, perhaps we might see these Acklay before the conclusion of our time here?" she feigned interest before carrying on "I want to thank you for inviting us here today, and on behalf of the ISC I would like to get the ball rolling and ask: what is it your Government is looking for from cooperation with one of the galactic groups? With those parameters laid out, we are in a good position to lay out what we can do to support you in reaching those ambitions."

Drow wanted to cut to the chase immediately and begin speaking his peace but his training taught him that it was better to keep things moving at a nice, natural pace. Negotiations were nothing more than the art of conversation with higher stakes so he held his tongue and waited for Governor Flauki to answer to the ISC's representative's question. The Jedi Order held no will or hostility towards the ISC. Yet anwyays. However, Drow did not come here to lose Vendaxa to another faction when the Order and FWA and Rangers needed all the help they could get.

"If I may, Governor Ubbeson, I've brought a recording I'd like to share with you. All of you, really." Drow piped up once the governor had addressed Julia's question. He withdrew a small holoprojector and thumbed the play button. Placing it on the table, the room would be treated to the sights of the Sith leading Sullustan slaves on their magma homeworld with whips and blasterfire and of them attacking Byblos unprovoked.

"This is footage of worlds that happened to get in the way of the Sith. They take what they want and leave behind the bodies of those who try and say no. As much as I hate war, war is upon us and the Sith see neutral worlds as targets. I come before you to not only pledge the Jedi's protection but to ask you to join our fight. It's only through many of us standing up to the Sith that we'll be able to stamp them out of the galaxy and return to peaceful and prosperous times." Drow said solemnly. As if to punctuate his point, one of Drow's security droids behind him nodded his head. The Ishi Tib hadn't instructed the bot to do so but he was pleased nonetheless.

The Representative for the ISC had been quite curious of the Acklay and of the needs of Vendaxa. Flauki respected her bluntness over the meeting, after all it was compiled of important people. The last thing the Governor wanted to do was waste their time on Vendaxa. No, instead of keeping with the talks of minor details, he would acknowledge her questions.

"Why yes, of course, we can have a look at the Acklay. The stables are actually not too far away. But please I beg of you, do not come too close. As for your other question.. isn't it obvious? Vendaxa remains on it's own. The way things are going in the galaxy, I don't want my people to suffer from an attack by foreigners. I am a proud man, it is hard to admit when I cannot provide what my people need. There is no army.. no protection.. all I have is a militia of volunteers doing what they can. If they do not recieve the assistance they deserve.. then I have failed as a leader.. so I look to a sign of hope among one of your great powers in the galaxy."

Flauki was a bit emotional but ending it with a smile. He looked to each member as he sat in a slight moment of silence. Then the Jedi Master Drow Venn would begin to speak.

"Go ahead Master Venn."

The Governor of Vendaxa would watch as he had seen the ways of the Sith. It was harsh, and the Jedi Master was right about their tactics and their actions. It was quite barbaric and aggressive. Unnecessary invasions, and showings of power. They would be a formidable protector, though they did not show to the meeting. Not yet at least. Flauki also knew that he wanted his people to live in peace. Jedi do offer peaceful measures, though Master Drow Venn is asking that the people of Vendaxa fight against the Sith..

"Master Venn, I do regret to inform you.. my people are not Jedi.. We do not have the means to win a war. Though if you can provide the proper means for Vendaxa I can assure that the support of my planet will be in return, and that goes for all of you. I can assure you Vendaxa is worth the chance."

Sutton listened in to the conversations quietly. Secretary Hipori was business-like and to the point, matching her reputation. One to watch closely. Meanwhile, the Jedi showed them all some rather frightful imagery regarding the Sith. Her eyes narrowed as she regarded the Ishi Tib, making a note in her head.

I should speak with this Jedi. That recording may prove useful in the Senate.

The governor's concerns were understandable. Vendaxa was exposed, neutral in an increasingly divided Galaxy and if the Sith decided they wanted the world... well, there'd be little way to resist. That's how they did it, scooping them up.

"I understand your concerns, Governor Ubbeson," Sutton began, leaning slightly forwards. Palms open, towards him, in a friendly gesture. "And I commend you on your realistic interpretation of the matter. Your care for your people does you great credit." A smile, then back to business. "Of course, you will be aware that currently, the New Republic tends to delegate responsibility for military matters to member planets, with assurances that each world will support another in times of emergency or war." There was no official war yet, though. "That is the current arrangement."

"What the New Republic can offer you is the means to create your own forces. Some of the largest economies in the Galaxy are founder members of the New Republic. All effective militaries and fleets need a firm economic backing to support them. Just imagine what Vendaxa could have with links like that. That's not to mention the benefit for your people's quality-of-life, too."

"Are you familiar with the Kuat Drive Yards? One of the premier shipbuilding corporations in the Galaxy, I'm sure we'd all agree. Whatever decision your planet takes, we must arrange a visit for you sometime. I'm sure they'd be happy to draw up plans for Vendaxa's planetary defence fleet."

Hey, if she came out of this empty-handed, the least she could do is try to deflect some ISC credits towards a Republic corporation.

As if on que, the doors to the boardroom hissed open once more. Through them, the last remaining representative invited to this gathering had finally made their arrival in the form of Jaikus. If truth be told, he was likely not what most of those gathered in the room were expecting when they pictured a Sith in their minds.

Unlike the Jedi master sat across from him, Jaikus had arrived in neither armor nor with an entourage of heavily-armed security. The Sith had traded in his leathers and durasteel armor plates for a finely-tailored black suit, fitted with golden embellishments on his collar and sleeves. Pinned to his breast was a simple pin in the shape of the
Sith emblem, wrought in crimson metal. Indeed, aside from the Lightsaber tucked subtly in his sleeve, Jaikus was entirely unarmored. After all, he had no intention of fighting today.

Not yet, anyway.

“Governor Ubbeson,” Jaikus greeted Flauki with a gracious dip of his head, the smile plastered across his face almost unsettling in its nature. “I am Jaikus Altaris. I have been chosen to represent the Sith in these negotiations.” He extended a gloved hand to shake the governor, as well as handing along a data chip containing of his own qualifications. “It is a pleasure.” Jaikus may not have been the most seasoned Sith, nor the most powerful, but a lifetime of administrative and diplomatic work on his homeworld of Axxila were clearly enough to make him qualified to negotiate on the Order’s behalf.

As he made his way towards his seat, Jaikus put his hands up infront of him, as if begging for a reprieve from those assembled. “You must forgive me for my tardiness. I regret to say trouble with my ship prevented me from arriving even a moment earlier. I do hope I haven’t missed too much.”

As if he didn't enjoy arriving fashionably late.

The Axxilan flicked his gaze from the Governor to the other men and women assembled around the table. He didn’t know a single one of them, nor did he seem particularly inclined to force the issue of introductions. It wasn't them he was trying to schmooze, after all. His gaze lingered a bit longer on the Jedi, though. He knew that his presence here would put the Ishi Tib on edge.

He relished the fact.

Julia kept her thoughts to herself when the Jedi representative appeared to offer to pull Vendaxa into a war as a way of enticing their membership. Whilst she was somewhat surprised to see that specific line of approach, it none-the-less served her purposes well to see conflict already being put to the table of negotiation, and she found her interest heightened further when the Governor informed the room that 'There is no army.. no protection.. all I have is a militia of volunteers doing what they can'.

Senator Rayne, wasting no time at all, laid out the proposal from the FWA, effectively telling the Governor of Vendaxa that the Republic was not currently in a position to supply any form of military aid, at all.

Finally, Julia spoke.

"Governor, the ISC, unlike the Republic, does not need to adapt to meet the requirements of Vendaxa and her people. Your concern for your people speaks volumes as to your intentions, and the nobleness of them, and I for one think it is deeply commendable that in these times of extreme hardship, the security and continued well-being of your people is foremost in your mind. The ISC, very recently, agreed on a framework by which the strongest worlds, such as Naboo and Bestine, would step up to the plate, and contribute to a centralised security force, which protected the interests and the people of all our members."

"But we can and will go further. Not only can the ISC offer your security now, ships, droids and the skilled operatives you need to see your people safe, we can build on that framework, providing long term support to enable the development of industry and an armed security force here on Vendaxa to compliment that security arrangement. We don't need to petition for changes to enable this to happen, the structure is in place, now."

"I can have security here, within days, we can have the best in class industrial consultants planet-side to lay out the long term plan to develop your infrastructure, also. But I want to go further for you, and talk about the deeper security concerns the ISC can help you mitigate. The single biggest threat facing the Galaxy, Vendaxa included, is not war, it is the AMS virus. Only with vaccines can we break the link between infection and death, and save the lives of millions. For the ISC, security means a vaccination guarantee, and we ensure all member states get the vaccines they need, to get your people safe, and protected, from this virus."

Julia looked directly at the Governor as she rounded up.

"Security now. Investment for tomorrow. A vaccinated population. This is what the ISC can do, and it would be an honour to embark on that journey with you."

"You're late." Drow said obviously and maliciously towards Jaikus as he walked in. It didn't need to be said but the Ishi Tib wanted the Sith to be uncomfortable as soon as he walked in and wanted to spare Flauki from having to insult the guest on his tardiness himself.

"Governor, this right here shows you for what kind of allies the Sith would be. Ship trouble without calling ahead of time? This one already shows you how little he respects your world and your time." Drow shook his head disdainfully at Jaikus, much like a disappointed father would. Drow was probably old enough to be this one's father but the younger man didn't scare him; he'd taken down bigger and badder Darksiders than him before.

As Drow looked at Jaikus, his hand would move and his fingers would stroke the second lightsaber at his belt. It would draw the eye if anyone was looking at Drow. But if Jaikus was looking, he'd surely recognize the black and red colors and jagged looking design of the hilt as being from a fellow Sith. Or at least, it used to belong to a fellow Sith. The message was clear: try anything and you'll end up like the previous owner of this lightsaber.

"Governor, even the smallest contribution can make a significant impact. Each according to their abilities and each according to their needs is a fine mantra and one the Jedi live by. And I agree with Governor Hipori as well; the AMS virus is a significant threat and one the Jedi are uniquely suited for. The Order has embarked on numerous mercy missions throughout the galaxy to save those afflicted by the virus and have a wide range of healing abilities that aren't available at contemporary medical facilities. I have some talent in it myself and would be happy to show you more after our meeting." Drow explained.

Flauki was listening to the words of Senator Rayne. They were well spoken, and he did here points of interest, as well as some flaws that he had a problem with. The FWA representative made it clear that the people of Vendaxa will need to fight for themselves, the only thing offered would be the means to do so. It was a good offer nonetheless. Flauki understood they had a way of doing things for sure. Though he needed as quick as possible and as much protection as possible. The idea of Vendaxa's own becoming stornger was quite tempting though he had to admit.

"Senator if I were to say your offer was weak, I would be a liar. Though might I-"

The Governor was interrupted by the arrival of man in his suit. The aura around the man just screamed Sith. He explained as to why he was late and then proceeded to sit. Sitting to the left of Flauki near Secretary Hipori. The Governor wanted to welcome him despite the late arrival,

"Not a problem, please do take a seat Mr. Altaris. We were just conducting some business."

Flauki had been ready to speak with Senator Rayne a little more but before he got the liberty, Secretary Hipori had then pitched the offers of what could come from the ISC. This was becoming far more of a struggle to decide where he should align his allegiance. Hipori spoke of a vaccine for AMS as well. This was very intriguing to the Governor. Something the FWA did not have. Drow Venn spoke of abilities for healing with the Jedi, but the lack of presence and protection from them would bring the Governor to doubt the ability to save Vendaxa from outside forces. Though he would definitely look into an alliance with them. They do seem to be insistent on saving those in need.

"I have listened to what the other have to offer. I believe it is only fair that I listen to what the Sith can bring to the table. So Mr. Altaris please do feel free.. the metaphorical floor is yours."

Flauki would motion his hand in a way to let the Sith know it was his turn.

It did not take Jaikus long to find his seat, the latecomer settling down into the cream-colored leather chair between Flauki and Julia. Crossing his legs with one calf resting on his knee, he plucked a glass of wine from the tray of the passing server droid – eyeing the crimson fluid momentarily. Despite his first instinct, it was perhaps a poor time to criticize the vintage that Flauki had reserved for them. Before he could get comfortable though, Jaikus’ attention was immediately drawn to the Jedi master sitting opposite to him. His eyes narrowed slightly as he reached up to pinch the bridge of his nose, listening as the Ishi Tib scolded him. It had not even been five minutes, and already he was quarreling with a Jedi.

Delightful.

“By all means, Master Jedi – do feel free to take up your complaints with the hyperdrive of my ship.” His gaze momentarily fell upon the lightsaber on Drow’s waist, but he did not appear phased. He had no intention of coming to blows with the Jedi, and the Sith was confident enough in his own abilities if he did.

Turning his attention to Flauki, Jaikus offered the Governor a polite smile. Briefly. “Thank you, Governor Ubbeson.” The Sith rose from his seat, opting to stand while the rest of his peers sat comfortably. “I will not draw this out. What I offer you – what the Sith offer you – is simple, security and prosperity the likes of which none at this table can match.” He did not mince words, nor did he make statements to feed the Governor’s ego. His words were clear and direct to the point. After taking a long drink from his glass, he continued. “It is no secret that the Sith boast the strongest unified military within the galaxy, second to none. If you align your planet with us, this military can and will be utilized to ensure the safety and security of Vendaxa within a matter of days. We would be able to bolster your local militia to face problems here on the surface, while also protecting you from future threats with our fleet. At your disposal would also be the considerable economic and research resources of the Sith, bringing trade opportunities and industry to your world. I know for a fact that there are many Sith within our ranks who would be delighted at the prospect of utilizing the Acklay, and would be able to assist greatly in this endeavor.” The thought of Acklay warped with Sith Alchemy was a particular horrifying thought, one which sent a shiver of delight through Jaikus.

Narrowing his eyes, he gestured to the Jedi Master scornfully. “He has the nerve to speak of my lack of respect for your planet and its people, and yet this Jedi already makes his intentions clear to you. Their Order are only interested in Vendaxa for what you might be able to contribute to their war effort, and could not care less about the prosperity of your planet. They seek to draw you into a war that, thus far, has yet to come to your doorstep. I do not believe that is what you desire, Governor.” Though subtle, there was an unmistakable implication behind his words. Ally yourself with the Jedi, and make your world an enemy of the Sith.

His gaze then turned to Secretary Hipori, sickly yellow eyes boring into the side of her skull. “Secretary Hipori makes a decent point, I will admit. the AMS virus is a threat. But,” The Sith drummed his knuckles against the table they all sat behind, giving a slight shrug of his shoulders. “To my knowledge, Vendaxa has thus-far been spared any large-scale infections, and the Sith can help to keep it that way. Travel restrictions and quarantine measures utilized by Sith planets have resulted in none within our territory having seen a large outbreak of the virus – a process that can and should be replicated here on this planet, which would greatly reduce this threat without putting strain on your resources.” He failed to mention how oppressive the methods utilized actually were, but that snippet of information was likely best left out. “And,” Jaikus clicked his tongue, turning on his heels to address Secretary Hipori. “Firstly, you have yet to make such a breakthrough with a vaccine. While I do appreciate your optimism, making promises you are in no presence position to uphold is… Questionable. Secondly, even if you did, the discovery of a functional vaccine would be a monumental medical breakthrough - beneficial to everyone.” He outstretched his arms dramatically, gesturing to the Jedi and Senator sat beside him. “Surely, it is something that would be willingly shared with scientists and pharmaceutical bodies across the galaxy to replicate - from Commenor to Dromund Kaas – in an effort to ensure as many of these life-saving vaccines as possible could be produced, not solely limited to ISC member states.

He turned back to face Flauki, taking his seat once more. "This, Governor Ubbeson, is what we offer you. Security and Prosperity."

Sutton listened carefully to the counter offers, promises and veiled threats. As expected, the offer that rivalled hers came from the ISC. The Jedi was at the sidelines, either one of the blocs could deal with an alliance with the Jedi, she thought. The Sith came in with blustered threats, however. How predictable. How boring.

"As much as I'm loathe to agree with this creature," Sutton began, narrowing her eyes towards the Sith, "the truth is that MorataCorp is still, regrettably, in the midst of vaccine trials. We all await the happy day that they succeed, but I think vaccine prioritisation is most certainly a topic for a future session in the Galactic Senate?" she suggested, as she took the opportunity to scribble down a couple of notes. "Meanwhile, the New Republic are the ones leaded the actual support for those most affected by the pandemic. We are the ones sending supplies to affected worlds and we are the ones leading refugee re-settlement efforts."

"Governor, we've seen from the recordings provided my Master Venn what happens when the Sith send their soldiers. Their offers of protection are meaningless, they demand subjugation." Her eyes levelled at the Governor now with a smile. "The Sith came to Byblos to conquer, and who drove them back? Jedi and Sector Rangers. Rangers of the Republic and FWA, I hasten to add, not the ISC."

"The Sith would send their soldiers. The ISC would send some of their very recently frameworked security services. But if the worst happened, if you were faced with an invasion force, who would fight hardest for Vendaxa? People from systems away, the cast offs of the Consortium, or the brave and proud citizens of Vendaxa themselves? The others offer you quick fixes, uncaring troops from assorted worlds. Only the New Republic offers you the means of building a proud, strong defence force that you can truly call your own."

"There is great pride in service, Governor. Your citizens would be proud to serve in one of the finest militaries in the Galaxy, with the economic and trade benefits the Republic brings. Who else will fight tooth and nail for their people? The Sith? The ISC?"
Sutton leaned forwards slightly, hands open. "Credits are the lifeblood of the Galaxy and we can provide so much for Vendaxa. We can draft a trade deal with Commenor tonight, Governor. Senator Chak of Carida would be very interested too, he has great experience in military development. Caridan blasters are some of the finest around."

“Look,” Julia cut across the others, and tapped her pen on the table “...the offers you’ve got from the Sith and the Jedi aren’t deals they’re traps. The Jedi,” she pointed toward the Jedi representative with her pen “...are generously offering to yank your people into a war that you’ve no stake in. Meanwhile the Sith,” the pen moved on to their representative “...have generously offered to effectively colonise your planet in a,” Julia looked down at her notes “...and I quote, ‘In a matter of days’, whilst placing this entire planet under a blockade, and pull Vendaxas resources into a war that is not of your making.”

Julia put her pen down and focused her attention on the Free Worlds Alliance “The Republic on the other hand has not got much to bring to the table. They’re concerns about the ISC are off the mark by several parsecs. Senator Rayne takes issue with the ISC not intervening in a conflict on Byblos, a conflict that took place in Republic space and a conflict that we were not asked to intervene in. Governor,” she looked at Governor Flauki “...I am sure we both agree that had the ISC sent in troops to Byblos, without the FWA or Repubic consent, that would have been a colossal case of diplomatic overreach? Had the Republic requested help, we would have provided it, and the lives of many Republic citizens would have been saved in the process - had people like Senator Rayne acted, not postured.”

Finally, she placed her hands on the table and focused on Flauki “The ISC military is droid based, with organic special forces and a navy. In the modern day, sending organics into war, when droids are available, is a cost we cannot take - it is a cost measured in the blood of our people. The New Republic offers you what you already have, a security force made up of your own people, the ISC offers you the next level - an advanced, automated defence network, backed by the latest technology - which I have personally overseen the advancement of - as part of a growing movement, which sees worlds such as Vendaxa, and my own, Lahsbane, taken as equal partners, not worlds to be seen as subjects, as they are by the Sith, participants in war, as they are by the Jedi, or charity cases, as they are by the Republic.”

“We can bring trade deals from each member state. We can inject record breaking investment. We can advance your military to levels it has never before experienced. And,”
Julia turned around her datapad to face Governor Flauki, and handed him a stylus.

“We can do it now. The deal is ready, the resources are ready. Are you?”

"A hyperdrive malfunction doesn't affect your ability to call ahead now does it?" Drow asked disdainfully. If this upstart boy was the best the Sith Order could send, Drow seriously doubted their capacity to negotiate.

"Governor Hipori, you talk of the Battle of Byblos. Well, I fought that battle and I can assure you that any help we could have received would have been appreciated and saved lives. When the other Jedi and I heard of the invasion of Byblos, we did not wait to be asked for help. No, we took what ships we had and defended the innocent. And that's the kind of ally you would get in the Jedi Order. One that doesn't hesitate to aid and assist the moment there's trouble." Drow said proudly. No matter what this war had forced him to do recently, he was still a proud member of the Order and was happy to be a part of an organization that defended the innocent.

"Governor Flauki, war is here whether we want it or not. I feel as though this boy and Governor Hipori are misconstruing my previous words and forgetting that I said 'to each according to their abilities and each according to their needs'. Whether you have ten credits to spare or a galactic army, the Jedi will provide the same level of protection and service to any world that needs it. And while we wait on the vaccine itself, having Jedi defenders and healers is a great boon for a world to have. The Jedi's mercy ships and refugee evacuation missions have been a great success. I myself led a rescue effort on Utapau that saved an entire settlement from falling to the AMS virus on a planet that had near 100 percent infection rates." Drow said.

The meeting is supposed to stay civil. So far it has been, but each party was growing more annoyed with the other. All sides gave good offers, some more than others. Though with each faction giving good offers there were downsides to each. The FWA provides little protection but the equipment to have protection. The ISC gives great protection and a vaccine in the works, though they are not as big as the FWA. The Jedi offer protection but need Vendaxa to risk it's neck in battle immediately. The Sith offer excellent protection.. though Flauki did happen to see the recording. Surely not all planets lived under Sith control that exact way but Flauki may not decide on going the route of the Sith.

No, instead Flauki was favoring the works of the ISC. They made stronger and much more efficient promises. The Governor just hoped these promises would not come up empty. A decision will be made and the Governor would voice his decision after addressing the words of the representatives that came before him.

"Okay.. a decision is being made here. I do not wish to carry out arguments. This was enough information for me to take in so.."

He stood up out of his seat and leaned forward, placing his hands onto the desk and then looking to the representatives before him. He had a stressed look for a moment then he relaxed. Standing straight up and addressing the ones he would be sending home.

"Master Venn, Senator Rayne, and Mr. Altaris.. thank you for your time but I must sign my allegiance to the ISC. It was a hard decision to make but I sat thinking over my options whilst you spoke and well.. The needs of Vendaxa are best met by the ISC. I do wish to meet you all in the future again and maybe convince others to propose peace. For now I do wish to have a moment to begin my deal with Ms. Hipori. Do feel free to wait in the guest room if you still wish to see the rest of Vendaxa as we spoke of."

Flauki would then turn to look at Secretary Hipori and smile.

"Shall we get started?"
