It has come to my attention that some people have had concerns and such about the Chiss Ascendancy. People were rarely providing me with feedback in which to work off of. I like it when I am given feedback from members (even non-faction members), both positive and negative feedback. It gives us a chance to see how the populace views our actions and can provide that input.

I accept responsibility for some of the lack of communication in regards to feedback. I never clearly stressed that I prefer to be given feedback (rather than hearing it in a game of telephone, aka gossip). As such, I've officially created a Feedback thread (which I thought I had created already, but was mistaken).

Feel free to post here any concerns, questions, comments, suggestions, etc. you have about the Chiss Ascendancy, whether about its leaders, how it's run, the faction as a whole, etc. There will be no consequences upon stating your mind, even if harsh (within reason). If you do not wish to submit feedback publicly, you are free to PM me (Weiss), Black Noise, or Lupe, the Chiss echelon.

I have an observation.

So I was reading around and found that the Chiss have imposed Martial Law quite some time ago, for a Government who was trying to proclaim obvious neutrality and peace like stated here, they certainly contradict themselves with wire tapping, inspections, no leaving or entering Chiss space. The GA certainly would like to have peace too, however, we don't go around wire taping and arresting people for j-walking a hyperspace lane.

First of all, I need to update the Force User invitation, thank you for bringing its condradictions to light, I had not thought of it. As for Martial law, unlike the GA, the Chiss not only own territory primarily made up of Chiss, but the species itself is, as you know, highly xenophobic and patriotic. In this regard, I'm more pointing to the fact the Chiss citizens would comply and be 'ok' with the tappings and strict regulations. While peace is strived for, it is mainly peace for the Ascendancy above attempting peace for the galaxy. If peace for the ascendancy means war with a weaker faction over the stronger one and arresting hyperspace j-walkers to throw them into the gulag for a 'tenner,' then it's accepted. Peace, while believed to be a 'universal term' is quite different for each faction. Peace for the GA likely means no one at war, peace for the Imperium clearly means eradication of the GA, peace for the Ascendancy means zero crime at any cost and that the enemies of their allies are quelled.

Also, perhaps it's because you don't arrest hyperspace j-walkers that the GA has always had good relations with smugglers and bounty hunters :CSly
