Dimon simply adored Canto Bight.

Not only was it a safe and discrete place to conduct business, it was also filled with his sort of people. As the Jixuan dropped out of hyperspace and folded in its solar sail, he could feel his heart rate increase. Dropping down into the lower atmosphere, he clocked the city from his viewport, and his heart skipped a beat. He felt more at home here than he did in Ubrikkia (not that he spent much time there, mind you). Today he was here on important Senatorial business and would do his best to blend that with a bit of pleasure.

The Jixuan touched down in the public landing pads, and Dimon rose from his chair, grabbed his cane, and smoothed down his veda cloth robe, which was black, and embossed with swirling light blue patterns sewn in travella. One simply could not come to Cantonica without making a fashion statement. About his next he worse a haysian smelt icon - he looked every bit the Cantonican.

Settling into his waiting rickshaw he ordered the droid to get him underway to the fathier course, where his contact would be waiting for him.

It took just half an hour to arrive, and Dimon was swiftly shown up to a private box, which he had called ahead to put to one side for today's meeting. Bustling inside, he ordered a range of drinks (and naturally expensed them to the Ubrikkian taxpayer) and took his seat. The man he was meeting today was a senior, no the senior executive at Blackwell, and Dimon was keen to make a good impression. Newton was a man whom he had read much about, although he had yet to actually meeting him.

He stood up again, pacing up and down anxiously as he waited for the man to arrive...

While Canto BIght was a bright spot in the Corporate Sector, that rich and powerful people from all over the galaxy go to at some point,, Newton didn't really much for it. It has gambling, people wearing fancy clothing, weird aliens, and more gambling. It also has some weird horse like aliens that visitors seem to be capativated with.

The Blackwell CEO was here to do business. The Senator of Ubrikkia which to make a purchase with Blackwell's fine wares. Ubrikkia is a Mid RIm industrial world. It may not be Kuat or Fondor, but Ubrikkia is known for it's heavy industries. Ubrikkian Industries most notably. That is still significant.

Newton would arrive at the scheduled time in the private, bringing his usual astromech droid M7 along with him in tow. Newton would be a black tuxedo, bowtie and the likes, in addition to gloves. None of his cybernetics would be showing. He would then see the twi'lek. Just to confirm though. "Senator Fee Simm?" he would ask. If that is them, he would then nod his head. "Pleasure to meet you." he said politely.

"Please, the pleasure is mine." Dimon grinned, his pointed teeth making a bizarre and probably not very friendly rictus as he did so. It was an unfortunate side-effect of his species' appearance but one he had to live with. He had been looking forward to this meeting, especially as it meant he could conduct business whist the Fathier race was ongoing, a fine blend of business and pleasure.

Gesturing for the Executive to take a seat, Dimon waved over a serving droid to take the Blackwell CEOs order "Have you attended a Fathier race before?" he asked rhetorically "I confess I am something of a fan, and always place a bet on this season." he chortled to himself as he read the racing form card of the assembled beasts.

"I do not think they do much racing like this on Etti IV, no?" he asked as the racers where moved into position. Twelve in total, Dimon placed his money on number seven - which he had heard was meant to do quite well. "Regardless, to business. I am looking to expand the fighter fleet of Ubrikkia." he lied - Ubrikkia didn't have a 'fleet' to expand, he was in fact looking to start one off.

Newton would take a seat "Water will be fine" he said to the serving droid. He would then look towards the senator. Newton shook his head no when asked if he's been to a faither race, or if they have anything like this on Etti IV. At least that he knows of. There might be pod racing or swoop racing, but he doesn't seek it out much like fathier racing

He would look at the faithers as they looked like they were about to start. He had a blank and neutral expression on his face. He had a small thought, what if instead of fathiers, they raced using droid steeds. But then the thought disappeared as the talk shifted to business. That's what Newton came here for. So he is looking for a some starfighters. That is something Blackwell has a solution for. "Blackwell can help with that" he said, smiling.

Newton would pull out a spare datapad, type in some things, and show to Dimon. "One of Blackwell Driveworks most finest vessels is the Starblade Interceptor. It's fast, maneuverable, and packs a lot of firepower." it does have a hefty price-tag, but it is well worth it. The senator would be able to gesture and recieve the datapad if they wanted to take a closer look.

Next. "From Cybot Galactical, there is also the Auto-pursuit fighter. These are starfighters piloted by droid databrains integrated inside. They have above average speed, excellent maneuverability, proficient weapons, shielding, a hyperdrive." The twi'lek senator would also see the Auto fighter would have a lower price point and also have a bulk discount for a squadrons worth.

"What do you think?" Newton would ask.

Fighter technology was almost entirely foriegn to him.

But the Blackwell Executive probably already knew that. He looked at the designs presented to him and found himself drawn to the Starblade. Relying on an organic pilot was preferable to him; he could 'create jobs' that way, plus he didn't overly like droids. The idea of them running his air force was a concern.

It helped that the Starblade was cheaper as well.

"The Starblade looks like a well-designed and equipped vessel, no?" he fluffed through a reply, completely unsure what he was talking about. "Cheaper to!" he fumbled preferred to talk about the area of cost, one he was far more at home with.

"Would they be any good as a mobile force as well, escorts out of the system for example?" he asked, motivated purely by make self-interest and his overarching desire to not get killed when travelling between Ubrikkia and Coruscant.

Maybe he will make droid-horse things. Maybe. There are already droid-mules. As for the senator, it looks like he liked the Starblade. Newton figured that the senator would go for the droid starfighters, but that's fine. "Yes, the Starblade is an excellent craft that either pilots swear by or aspire to get in the controls of." He wasn't exaggerating either. It's performance is almost unmatched in the galaxy. Newton wouldn't say it's cheaper, but Newton is content to let the senator think that.

"Yes on both accounts. The Starblade is not only very fast, it also comes equipped with one of he best hyperdrive classes. They can travel outside the system without the need of a carrier ship. They also has enough fuel and consumables to last a whole standard week before needing to replenish." he smiled as he responded as he addressed the good senator's question. Suffice it to say the Starblades are very mobile indeed.
