A starry night sky sat over top of Coruscant, eclipsing the cityscape with dozens upon dozens of little tiny lights overshadowed by a pair of moons illuminating the nights sky. It was a beautiful sight, something a person could stare at all night, as if contemplating its mystique.

The young human Roran Grey clad in armour head to neck, stood in the top level streets of Coruscant, leaning up against a slightly above waist high wall with a small flask sized half-empty bottle of liquor in his hand as he looked up to the stars. Lost in his own thoughts of remorse and regret. Over the past while he had seen things he would rather have not see, been part of things he regretted, and now had nowhere to go. Coruscant was the place his nomadic journey had begun all those years ago, and the place it was to end.

"Oh man on the moon, what could I do, sail the sand dunes or rather join you?" He said, essentially talking to himself. "Not going to answer me I guess."

He chuckled slightly as he tossed the glass bottle over the edge that quickly disappeared down into the depths of Coruscant without a sound. Gripping onto a lamp post he pulled himself up onto the wall and looked down into the depths before letting go and simply balancing there. He was tempted to jump, it wasn't like he would feel anything, but something nagged at him slightly. Even loosened by alcohol he still hesitated, as if something held him back and he didn't know what.

Are you sure you want to do that? -Asked a voice nearby, not loud enough to be suprising, it was calmed and soothing. The owner was a man in simple casual clothes, brown boots, black pants, and a white shirt, under a closed sleeveless brown jacket that resembled leather. Not behind him, not besides him, it would take a small bit until Roran realized that the voice came, in fact, from below. In a cornice just as him not even two meters away, and holding in its left hand the bottle Roran had dropped Makara was looking upwards a bit stranged by the man's monologue and impending suicide.

Its a long way down -he said with a tranquil tone seeking comprehension, althought they couldn't see each other.

His heart jumped slightly. He hadn't expected someone to notice him. He Gripped a bit tighter onto the lamp post as he looked around from where he stood on. He looked to his left, Nobody, his right, nobody. He scanned all the way around him before concluding the mystery person had to be somewhere below the wall he stood on. He sighed, He felt like an idiot knowing someone was there.

"It's not like I would feel anything." He answered as he lowered himself down to sit on the ledge with his feet dangling off. He looked up to the moon once more before looking down over the edge. He couldn't really see whoever it was that had spoke up.

"To answer your question though I wasn't actually sure about it. I got a bit drunk beforehand." He answered with a slight pause, something coming to mind. "Speaking of which, Why are you even down there."

Not getting hit by anything on your way down would be a miracle -he said slowly, with bit of a rugged contemplation- What I was doing here... -Makara muttered and looked to his right, glaring at the small mountain of empty beverages carefully put together- ... Meditating -he said whilst rising his eyebrows in a vague display, it was not totally a lie- Contemplating the cityscape -added at the end, and with a roughened yawn he leaned backwards against the floor, looking towards the ceiling that was Roran's floor.- There are... some things I can't get out of my mind and got to be dealt with -details were scarce thus far, but the night was going to be long.

What made you think about such a thing?

"Jumping? I guess there's no harm in telling you." He started off, giving a slight glance down to the darkness below him while he cleared his throat- "It's simple really. I don't have much of a life to live. It kind of stopped having meaning years ago." He continued, taking a deep breath, thinking of his next words. "Just when I finally did get the chance to possibly do something better with my life everything went down hill and I lost just about everything that really mattered to me, now that I think of it."

He chuckled slightly. "And what about you, What's on your mind?"

"Hmm" -he said as he listened, by the time he made a pause- "A friend died. Someone I was supposed to take care of, you could say it was my fault." -he made a small pause- "Why jump? You would deny yourself any chance of making things right, its never too late. Death... Is not the end of grief, or regret, its the end of everything. Redemption, joy, laughter, friendship, it is the end of everything you long for..." -he spoke with a dim tone, as his eyes narrowed, staring at the metal composite above him.- What happened?

"A lot of things." He answered with a slight chuckle as he began to play with his lightsaber. "Everything went wrong a couple months ago when i was asked to move around some cargo from Corellia to Tatooine. Little did I know though that the stuff I was moving was some sort of high end weapon, and that there was already a person chasing us." He paused, staying quiet for a moment. "We ended up on this whole chase through the place. We were cornered on Denon but escaped in a stolen ship and once more in Tatooine when we got there." He took a deep breath as he finished, not wanting to go into detail.

"In short, everything went to hell, I lost my ship, girl I was transporting left me with her weapon and went to do her own thing. And now I've found myself back here." He let out a sigh and ignited the saber in his hands, staring into the emerald blade that illuminated his face.

Makara's eyes widened considerably at the sound of the lightsaber being ignited, and he lost his somnolence almost immediatly- Was that a lightsaber i just heard? -the trademark sound it produced had interrupted the previous trail of thoughts he was following- Was that the weapon she was transporting? -it was less than probable, but anything related to a lightsaber was immediatly related to either the Jedi or the Sith. And he was almost certain the Jedi wouldn't have anything to do with a high end weapon, so that only left one option left. What had that man got itself into?

Perhaps he was lying all along, trying to get Makara's guard down. But again, that wouldn't have made any sense, not if he was going to ignite the lightsaber before time, and because the Jedi couldn't feel aggression or kill intent out of him yet. That was highly unexpected, and had caught Makara by suprise.

He chuckled and gave his head a slight shake before shutting down the lightsaber. "No, this isn't the weapon I was transporting. I found this a few years back." He answered, clipping it back to his belt. "The weapon I was transporting was personally something I'd be more scared of than any goon with a lightsaber. It was some sort of...powered battle armour. It looked like some sort of droid but had a pilot. It's hard to describe. I still have it though."

He crossed his legs and glanced down wards. The person he was talking to seemed awfully familiar with the sound of a lightsaber. He could already imaging what he was thinking though and he could agree. A person having a lightsaber wasn't common, with what he was saying it sounded suspicious as hell. It was probably best he left.

"It's getting late." He stated as he began to slide his legs back up and over the area of wall he had been sitting on and stood up on solid ground. He looked back over the wall and down into the depths of Coruscant. "I should probably get going." He yawned, beginning to turn away.

I'd be suprised if you could make it home you like that -commented Makara jokingly while internally contemplating the situation before him. Battle armor? That couldn't be good, and neither Jedi nor Sith leave their lightsabers out for anyone to find them, they even slept with them nearby, there was something fishy about all that. Was that person really a drunken pilot or something else?

Mind letting me have a look at that lightsaber? -he asked with a soft tone, a dulled voice by the distance in the nightscape. The story looked serious, and grim, with a few question marks and blank spaces Makara found hard to believe, but being dead serious about it would have worried the pilot further, and judging by everything he had just said, Roran already had its share of messed up situations for a while. Besides, that wouldn't be Makara's usual self at all.

With a small help from the force the Jedi reached the border of the plataform above him, and climbed it with a casual pace. Not too dexterous, but he didn't seem to be having a hard time either. The owner of the voice was a tall, horned near-human in every-day clothes, black pans, gray shirt with a brown jacket on the top. Depending on Roran's ability to pay attention he could realise that Makara's face was painted white in patterns. His real skin color was gray, but as it only showed in his neck and hands it could be hard to spot for a drunken man.

The second thing, was the lightsaber around the Jedi's waist, partially hidden by the side of the jacket, and the shadows of the programmed night time of the planet.

"Ackshually." He began, about to respond when Makara had come up over the wall and onto the same area as what he had stood on. He lost his words in the brief moment as he looked him over. Frankly speaking the guy looked rather strange with what looked almost like pure white skin and horns upon his head.

"Whoa." He stared for a moment before giving his head a shake that drug him back into the land of the coherent. He didn't like the thought of handing over his lightsaber one bit. As far as he could tell he had no reason to, A Jedi wouldn't, Why should he?

"Actually, I'd prefer not to hand it over." He gave in answer as he removed the thing from his belt, struggling with it for a second. "You see, It's important to me and I'd rather not hand it over to a complete stranger." He finished as he held the un-ignited blade in the palms of his hands.

After a moment of contemplation he looked back up to the man who stood only a few meters away from him at most. He was curious about this person. Now that he thought of it aside from the strange appearance something else felt off about him, It was as if now that he was sitting there looking at them he could sense his presence. It was an odd feeling.

Makara chuckled, noticeably more relaxed than before now that he had seen the human and his reaction towards him. Indeed he was just someone caught at the wrong place in the wrong time, there was no inherent evil or deception. Makara smirked at him and said- I'll show you whats mine -while jokingly moving his jacket to a side in order to retrieve his own lightsaber- If you show me whats yours -and showed it to him. The pantomime was loaded with fake seriousness in his gestures, a ludicrous ruse made on purpose by the seemingly light hearted Jedi.

He kept his distance from Roran in order not to seem intrusive or aggresive towards his personal space, but he wasn't too far away either, it was just about the right distance.

He cocked his head to the side as he watched Makara. He wouldn't have guessed the man who stood before him was a Jedi, the guy didn't exactly fit the bill of what your classical Jedi would be like. Not that that was really a bad thing. It just sort of caught him by surprise.

"I never expected to run into a Jedi." He paused as he looked to the lightsaber that was held for him to see. "Not here at least." He finished as he too held out his lightsaber for the other to see. His fingers pinched around the clip that would normally hold it to ones belt.

Compared to Makara's curved somewhat Ornate looking lightsaber his was somewhat more stark in appearance. It was a bit longer than a normal lightsaber, The case seemingly hand crafted out of a dark oak-like wood. sanded smooth, and polished to a shine as well as being carved in a pattern resembling that of a tight knit with the odd leaf in the foreground.

"Well, in any case. This is mine." He eyed Makara's as he held his own lightsaber out in front of him. He flipped the saber around in his hand with a little more grace than a drunk person would likely have and ignited the saber. The green blade was unstable and strangely enough just below where the actual blade emitted four more much smaller ones ran perpendicular to it, creating a cross shaped guard.

How do you know i'm not a Sith? -Makara asked with genuine curiosity for his answer before inspecting the lightsaber. The thought of having to retrieve it crossed his mind. Someone, somewhere, was surely missing it, probably the padawan of whatever Jedi had met an unfortunate fate. The design and the cross guard caught his eye when he ignited it. It was a clever design, not a standard one, and that gave him an idea.

He waited to hear his reply, and only then he ignited his own, which seemed to be a regular blade with a deeper blue color, faded instead of the usual, brighter blue. Aside from that, no difference could be told by the naked eye.

Strange -he stated, still with his gaze upon the enigmatic weapon- Where did you find it? -he was a little puzzled at it. Interested would be a more appropiate word for it. He seemed dexterous with the instrument, something even further more strange given the ammount of alcohol he had in his body, but there were some theories saying that some humans became more dexterous with alcohol in their insides. Perhaps they were right.

Roran didn't quite answer the mans question immediately. Rather he himself pondered the thought for a moment. He didn't quite know the specific answer himself, Maybe there wasn't really a specific answer he could give. Could he really know if a person was a sith or not, probably not; but he could still guess.

It's not very hard to guess. He began with a slight gesture and pause. I don't actually know but I sincerely doubt, or hope a sith isn't stupid enough to go around asking people how they know they aren't sith or I'm going to have to question how hard the Jedi works to defend us against them. He gave another quick pause. The sith are...Evil. They don't care about the lives of others, they wouldn't have cared to stop me from jumping. They feed off suffering, anger, and hatred. Though it's just a gut feeling, I feel I can trust you."

After he finished speaking he let out a deep breath and simply watched as Makara ignited his own saber. It was blue, classically most sith seemed to use red for some reason, from what it looked like he had been right with his assumption. However, there was still the matter of where this conversation was going.

As for my lightsaber, Well, I actually found it stowed away in a vent inside my one ship. I bought it used a couple years back. Though it's kinda blown up at this point." He gave a slight chuckle as he remembered how he had lost it. "Here. I'd like it back though" He flicked the the switch on the lightsaber into off and tossed the thing towards Makara fairly accurately towards his chest.
