Flashpoint FAQs​

First off, this will officially conclude the Denon flashpoint. This flashpoint will likely not go on as long as the previous one.

We (the admins) also wanted to take this opportunity to clear up some confusion and questions about the flashpoint system, so I will be tackling some of those that I have heard and if you have others, please feel free to drop them below.

• Who controls a planet during a flashpoint?
  
  • The faction in control of it as seen on the map. Flashpoints do not mean that the faction in control of the planet does not actually control the planet. The notion that the faction who "owns" the planet has no control over the planet is categorically incorrect.
• Can planets that are currently flashpoints be invaded?
  
  • Yes, they can be invaded. Like any other planet, an official "Invasion" can be launched when the planet is under a flashpoint. The flashpoint threads, specifically, cannot be used for the invasion or preparation for the invasion
• What is the purpose of flashpoints?
  
  • The purpose of flashpoints is to facilitate stories that could not be told otherwise. Whether that be open battles, interaction with characters from other factions, or any number of other smaller conflicts. The purpose of the threads is for storytelling in a low/no stakes environment.

Dantooine​

After the Sith sacked the Jedi temple on Dantooine in a hard-fought battle, unrest began to spread across the planet's surface. Eventually a rebellion sprung up to overthrow the Imperial rule and reclaim the world for the Jedi. The wrath of the Empire wasn't far behind and with tactical sabotage, the Empire reclaimed the planet once again.

Once again decisively under Imperial rule, most citizens have returned to their lives, uncaring for what flag flies over the horizon. Some soldiers and miscreants, however, have remained on the planet. Either seeking evacuation or hoping to continue making guerrilla attacks against the occupiers, small conflicts continue to spring up across the planet and occasionally even larger battles.

Sprouts of Rebellion
Small rebels cells have continued to work in isolation across the planet. Sabotaging Imperial facilities, assassinating officers, and generally disrupting general orderliness as described by the Empire. Everyone wants to find these cells for their own means: the Empire to wipe them out and the Jedi and rebel sympathizers to assist them in their resistance.

The Lines we Choose
Many individuals sided with the Jedi and rebellion when the Empire was driven out. Those who were responsible for aiding and abetting the rebels are known to the Empire, and the Empire is not known for its mercy. The Jedi must help them evacuate these individuals from the planet while the Empire must see these conspirers brought to justice.

The Aftermath of War
Many casualties mounted on either side during the open battles. With some skirmishes still rage in far flung corners of the planet, wounded still exist across the world. Tending to the wounded on either side is the responsibility of anyone who will help. Civilians and soldiers alike require medical supplies to be escorted safely to the outposts. Ensure the delivery of the supplies or care for the wounded yourself.
