The idea that she had to have a babysitter because she was still a padawan was driving her nuts; all the rules and mandates she had to remember seemed mundane in the face of what was happening in the galaxy. Plus her master wasn't ever around, she wasn't too sure what Ezzie was up to lately, but she couldn't help but to feel some anger toward it all; she finally received a response from her mom that just reminded her of how busy she was really was with her work, Ezzie was busy doing cool things she suspected, and the rest, who knew...just all so busy, and Theia couldn't help but feel the loneliness that existed in the galaxy. Even her artwork was starting to reflect a resentment, her mentors critiquing it to caution of her eclectic style.

So in her impulsive fashion, which she still struggled with in her control to balance her connection with the Force, she found herself a ship, one that didn't even speak binary, just some odd version of bocce and decided to ditch the temple and get lost in her own journey. She was surprised just how much time she had to think as she flew through hyperspace, leaving her to be able to practice without others around, and less imaginary pressure she had on herself when others were watching her.

Theia sat quietly, her bokken rested on the floor in front of her; palm raised above it and the girl practiced lifting it. A basic application of the Force, but she lost count how many times she failed to bring it to her palm and was answered with a clatter. Though when the bokken fell again, an alarm sounded in the cockpit and the padawan returned, seeing the errors in the hyperspace engine. Ah no..no....no...no... she hummed to herself quickly flipping several overrides to pull the ship out of her hyperspace safely. Her light eyes focused on the different buttons lighting up, something was wrong with the hyperdrive and she would need to get it fix before taking this ship anywhere else. Sullust had been the closest system and with the sublight engines, it still was a pain to journey the remainder of the way.

Though what would become an even bigger inconvenience was the upheaval in Sullust's largest space port. Workers had taken to the streets, dissatisfied with their current wages, they wanted a bigger cut, and Theia could agree with them. The red headed padawan was starting to think she was just unlucky at this point, walking through the crowded tunneled streets of shouting and even some were throwing things at passing speeders. Something didn't feel right and it was not her ill luck, there was something else and despite instinct telling her to duck, her day and the day for many others present was about to get worse.

An explosion rocked the streets, violence erupted.

In classic Natalie fashion, she went looking for trouble and found it. Sullust wasn’t what she would call a tropical paradise; mostly because it definitely wasn’t. Between the lava and the barrenness, anyone that called the hunk of rock a tropical anything was… well… Natalie wanted whatever the hell they had. One thing that could be said of Sullust was the fried food game. The fried meaty-meat stick in her hand was already half gone by the time she decided that the crowd of yelling and screaming workers wasn’t quite her gig.

She moved through the crowd, most of whom needed a shower… BAD. It was almost enough to get her to lose her appetite. Yeah right, there wasn’t a damn thing in the galaxy that could do that. Natalie chomped down on the meat stick again, ripping a piece off and chewing it with a satisfied smile on her lips. She was feeling quite good eating her meaty-meat stick, looking for trouble in a rather non-Jedi like outfit, her lightsaber hilt hidden at the small of her back under the denim jacket.

Then something caught Natalie’s eye. A glimpse of familiar red. No way! What was she doing here!? Her sister of the bin, third member of Snack Squad, and her best friend, Theia. Natalie pushed and shoved her way toward Theia, as one did in crowds. It reminded her of a concert, except there was no good music, booze, or drugs in the crowd. Just a whole lot of anger, hate, and discontent. So maybe it was more like a metal concert.

Theia? What are you-“ Natalie started to say as she reached her best friend. Then, just as their time on Genevavavava or whatever that place was called, an explosion rocked the streets and everyone either panicked or started committing some pretty major acts of violence. Natalie ducked low into the crowd, grabbing Theia by the wrist and pulling her down too. “Out of the crowd, now!” Natalie yelled, pointing toward the back of the crowd that was rapidly expanding from those turning to run away.
