He could hear Ryu banging on the door from the other side of the ship, but Veles could sense the Champion was fine. He was likely trying to trick the smugglers, so he let him play his role, instead looking at the pilot as he sat there waiting for their ship to rev up.

"Nerf-class freighter?" he asked, and the man frowned.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah laugh it up, but this baby can run--once it actually charges up." Veles was skeptical of that. The ship looked like it had seen better days 30 years ago. As he heard Ryu's voice, he zeroed in on the control board, his eyes narrowing as he read all the information. Two more minutes. They were homefree.

"Where was it that you wanted to go again?" the pilot asked, and Veles thought fast.

"Nar Shaddaa." The pilot did a double take, turning to stare at him and then back at the empty void outside. He shrugged and flipped a switch.

Veles turned and headed toward Ryu, passing by one of the smugglers on the way. "I see you can handle yourself in a fight, but it looks like your friend loses fights against doors," he chuckled quietly.

The Sith Lord entered the hold where the Champion was standing. "We get off at Nar Shaddaa and mingle in with the crowds. What did you do back here?"

The smuggler had finished checking him over as well as having a quick look around the hold. Ryujin stared daggers into his back as he moved around, The Force was coiled around the Inquisitor’s body ready to lash out if the need arose, but the Smuggler did not notice a thing and was once again off to the mess hall. As he watched him disappear the Sith Lord took his place in the hallway.

“Well make sure it's a space station. Once this ship hits gravity it has perhaps fifteen minutes before it looks like the surface of Sullust.” He replied leaning back on one of the pallets in the cargo hold. “I believe they mentioned Corellia as their final destination. Will make an interesting little commotion in their space port.” He replied with a smile.

Ah, so that was what Ryu had been working on in the hold for so long. The Sith Lord nodded and then spun on his heel, exiting the room and stopping inside the cockpit once more.

"Change of plans," he declared, and the pilot turned to look at him. "You can just drop us off at the nearest space station. We found a ride."

The man shrugged. "Your credits, your choice," he replied, and Veles turned back. He met with Ryu in the hold, and upon checking his datapad noted that the space station was only five minutes away. He was glad, because he would have hated to spend any more time in the vicinity of the timebomb that the Champion had rigged up. It was a nice way of tying up the loose ends, though just the tiniest bit risky.

"Get ready to disembark, fellas," came the captain's voice over the ship's comms. Veles nodded to Ryu and they headed for the exit, where one of the smugglers was waiting.

"Thanks for the help out there," he told them gratefully. "You kinda saved our skin, so this one's on the house." That spared them from a worry.

"No problem." They were so close to being home-free that the Sith Lord could almost smell the ash from Mustafar. He was going to be taking a long shower after this one.

The ship rocked a little as it touched down on one of the spaceport's many landing pads, and the captain once again buzzed through. "Good to go! Good luck out there, gentlemen."

The door ahead hissed open, and the two Sith stepped outside, Veles pulling his hood over the head. Within mere seconds, they had mingled in with the crowd and were impossible to spot. The smuggler ship took off, and Veles watched through the window as it zoomed away, aware that it would take them some time to enter hyperspace. The bombs should probably not be an issue to them until they reached actual gravity, unless someone were to mess with the--

The freighter exploded in a massive ball of fire, bits of durasteel soaring out through realspace in every direction. A few parts peppered the surface of the spacestation uselessly, and the lowlifes that populated it cheered as they watched the display, the inferno extinguished as fast as it had erupted by the vacuum of space.

And that was that. Not much had been accomplished today, but that was the important part--to make sure it's as mundane as possible so that it is forgotten as quickly as possible.

@Braden

The End.
