DESCRIPTION​

The G1-A starfighter is - despite the name - a medium pinnace manufactured by the Byblos Drive Yards corporation. The type has been in production since the Imperial era, and has been the ride of choice for a number of high-profile bounty hunters, mercenaries and officers of the law.

The G1-A is an impressively compact design for its capabilities, just 15 meters in length but still packing twin medium laser cannons, concussion missile launchers, a class 2 hyperdrive, a class 10 backup hyperdrive, 2 tons of cargo and enough consumables to support 5 beings - pilot, copilot and 3 passengers - for up to a month in space. It has surprising maneuverability as well, able to turn with most dedicated starfighters, although it typically can't outrun them.

The G1-A, though an older design, is still very capable and well liked by those who fly it. It is still commonly used by police, mercenaries and bounty hunters.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Though considered a transport under most jurisdictions, the G1-A's fighter-like armament and maneuverability earn it more careful scrutiny in civilized systems.
