Elara was window shopping after a few adventures on the planet. Figured she earned it. A girl has got to look after herself after all. She decided that after a while, she was going to report in at headquarters to see if they had anything she could help with, but for now she was content in leisurely walking down the streets, surrounded by people chattering nearby, going about their business. She was wearing her vest, because as she learned, you never know when you might need it, and her blaster was also safely holstered to her side.

Suddenly, a head splitting roar, as the explosion fills the sky with smoke and an orange tint. Her, and everyone else, duck as a reaction. Although she was not in the same sector, it was awfully close, and the people around her starts panicking and shouting and running in all directions, sirens blaring out. Elara stares in horror, as she realises the explosion is in the same direction as the headquarters.

After a few seconds, she sprints into action and begins running towards the nearest taxi port. She manages to take one a few block away, and the chaos she encountered was almost overwhelming. She dodges panicked people as she heads towards the headquarters, now laying in ruins. She gapes, utterly shocked, and unable to move. She can see a few rangers around, discussing. Her comm blinks. She answers, a few droid beeps could be heard on the other side

"Yes BG, I'm alright.. I saw it, and I'm here..it's...not looking good...Stay with the ship. Will update you later..."

Kark.

KARK.

Explosions and terrorists elsewhere on planet and he would have left it to the Rangers but a powerful explosion at Ranger HQ itself? He had grabbed up his weapons and strapped himself into his armour as quickly as humanly possible. He still... he still trembled at the idea of putting himself in a situation where he could kill again but he couldn't stand by.

He turned off the news on the radio as he climbed out of the speeder on the same level as the building. Landing on the landing pads, he could see Corran leading a small alien toward the basement level.

"CORRAN!"
he called out as he hurried after the Ranger, "Gods damn it!"

Cursing as the blast door snapped into place, isolating the basement from access, he scowled and drew his blaster pistol in his left hand and moved around the side of the building. He couldn't access the basement levels through the main doors anymore but that was alright. Lorcan had worked here long enough to know that there were other ways to make it down to the basement level.

Pushing his way into the ground floor, not needing to cover his eyes against the smoke due to his helmet, he growled at the sound of an explosion. Rushing up a flight of emergency stairs to the first floor, he strained to hear over the sounds of the fire and he could faintly hear it. Blaster fire and an explosion too small, too contained, to be part of the building exploding.

Bursting onto the floor, pistol up and ready, he would arrive on the floor further back than Weiss and Doc, not that he was able to recognise them. His helmet read out confirmed that the smoke was fire-caused and toxic as it usually would be. There were bright red lines in the distance - a red lightsaber perhaps?

Then a Jedi all-but combat rolled behind a concrete pillar closer to him and that was all the proof he needed. He took up cover in the doorway he had come from.

"Jedi!"
he barked out, "Former Ranger - what's the opposition?"

"Preef!?" The rodian's voice through the haze was more than a surprise, after the Rangers had taken her away she hadn't expected to see him again so soon, or anyone beyond the rather tedious little pickpocket she'd been celled with,

"A little overboard, don't you think?" she coughed and stumbled her way over to her friend. There were a few other scoundrels along with him, presumably a little team assembled to help get her out. She owed him one. Well, another one, she'd lost track of where they stood at this point, a few too many close scrapes would do that to people. As the dust settled slightly she looked about, half the roof was caved in and the walls falling apart, it was quite the sight,

"Where in the galaxy did you get a bomb like that?" this whole thing certainly looked like something a little above their pay grade. That said, she got her answer soon enough. A masked figure, a red lightsaber, all telltale signs of those Sith she remembered seeing on the holos. While she wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth, she couldn't say she wasn't a bit confused with the revelation that her own outfit were apparently the ones working this operation, conversations above their heads it seemed, some she fully intended on becoming a part of.

But as the figure backed out of the room she looked over at her old friend and felt suddenly all too self-conscious. With a throwing her arms up in front of her she blurted out defensively,

"I promise I had no idea"

Still, there was still the small problem of getting out of here, because she doubted the feds were just going to let them walk out, even if they were bus elsewhere.

“What a night.” An armored figure muttered. Immediately she grimaced underneath her helmet. It was a lame understatement given the horrific situation. She stood on top of a warehouse roof, watching the madness enfold below. Fires raged, laser shots flew as terrifying screams filled the air. Minerva Fhirdiad shook her head.

Not exactly a fan of this moon but even I don’t wish for this nightmare.

Of course the question escapes back to her ship if it is still there or fights a seemingly unstoppable horde. Even for a Mandalorian those are some bad odds. Just as she continued to consider her options Minerva received a public message. Raising an eyebrow as the caller identifies herself as a Jedi, requesting supporting.

Should’ve known they would involve themselves somehow. Sarcastic thought and personal feelings aside, the mercenary continued to listen and examined the coordinates it was actually close by. If what the Jedi said was true, then there was a common cause achieve. Not to mention a worthy challenge. Without further hesitation Minerva jumped from the ledge and activated her jetback, flying in the air above the streets.

Minutes later….

The Mandalorian wielding her rifle finally apporched the gate and the gungan corpses. She spotted two other figures already inside the tunnel. Cautiously she aimed before one ignited a familiar blade. More self-proclaimed peacekeepers. Well for the moment they’re better than flesh eating monsters.

With that conclusion Minerva called out to the bug lady and her apprentice from behind.

“Hey saber freaks need a hand?”

The feeling of the pull did not falter as Maeve continued. She did not feel the need to conceal her presence, she was alone, but then again she was not alone. The beckoning of the call though was constant, there was certainly something else. It reminded her of the twinkle of stars in the matte of the night sky, and she felt she would be foolish if she did not recognize it as it was: Jedi (@Nefieslab @Killa Ree). Maeve pursed her lips together in thought and maybe some annoyance.

In the distance she did indeed see shelter, settled on the peaks of the hills and Maeve couldn't help to applaud the Jedi tactic of the High Ground Though to get to this point on the hilltops, there was the gnarled forest that she had to venture through first. Maeve let out a sigh "Typical..." and began her trek. Her thoughts explored through all the text she had read, trying to bring something to present that would give her a clue as to what to expect, but her thoughts were cut short when she felt another dark presence (@Six), one that she recognized more of her kind; her hand drifted to her saber hilt as the Marauder emerged, his voice mechanical and stiff as he spoke.

"It seems to have called several of us. I sense something else too, I would not doubt there are Jedi here also." she told Malleus, pausing her eyes drifting to the dark clouds that were reaching overhead. but it was the ones that were rolling along the surface of Dathomir that concerned Maeve the most. "Let's go," she beckoned with a nod of her head toward the base. Whether he would follow her or not, Maeve was not too concerned, she had questions, and now she needed some answers as she purposely moved through the forest attempting to beat the rolling storm that was approaching.

The young padawan listened carefully to Master Thral. He rarely looked at her as they walked, but nodded intentively and offered the occasional, "Yes, Master" to assure her that he was paying attention. Even as they passed the carnage, Isen didn't fear for his life. For some reason, Isen didn't fear the physical. Maybe the Kiffar warrior nature was genetically embedded in him. He feared failure, but not death. He had social anxiety but did not get nervous at the prospects of death. Mostly, he was terrified that his relationship with the Force would not develop and would hinder his ability to become a Jedi Knight.

If anything, his master's words put him at ease. He could fight these things, whatever they are, indiscriminately. For a padawan whose fault is often acting without considering the consequences, this was an appreciative green light to have. He would hate to admit it, but to have the opportunity to engage with a lightsaber in live combat for the first time, well, it wasn't the Jedi way, but deep down, he had to admit that he was looking forward to it. He was good at it. In fact, it was the most obvious bright spot in the young Jedi's training.

The Jedi Knight Nara Allam did not answer Izel Thral's calls, but her entrance into the tunnels below the surface was found. The grate was clearly cut away by a lightsaber. There was no doubt that this was her entry point. Izel Thral ignited her blade. Isen followed suit and ignited one of his as well. Together, their faces were lit with emerald and cobalt lights. The pair were prepared to drop down, but before they could enter the dark, stenchy tunnels, they heard, "Hey saber freaks need a hand?”

Isen turned around to face the voice fully. An armor-clad warrior, complete with jet pack and blasters, one of which was a long rifle pointed in their direction floated above them. Isen kept his eyes on the Mandalorian, but spoke to his master quietly so that just they could hear. "Did she call us saber freaks, Master? That's not kind."

Isen knew his place. He was the apprentice. He would let Master Thral handle the diplomacy.

Her aching body greeted her as Altina regained consciousness. Her blurred vision did little to help the padawan regain her bearings. What just happened? She was taking a starbus to Bandomeer, but the ship had diverted from its original course for some reason. At that point, her consciousness had faded. She tried to move, but her limbs felt like they were weighed down with boulders. It was at that point she realized that the scent she smelled was the smothering remains of the starbus she was on.

Altina groaned as she pushed herself up into a sitting position on the rose-tinted rockbed. As her vision finally cleared, she was able to pick out the details of the bus's wreckage. There were some bodies, but not enough to convince her that she was the sole survivor.

The whispers she heard before her blackout came back as well. Altina was no stranger to hearing voices, but she recalled noticing the other passengers seeming to be distracted by, what she could only presume to be, the same words she heard in her head. Her initial instinct was that she somehow was doing it, but Altina is not familiar with this planet. Would she have subconsciously crashed the starbus into a planet like this?

The torrent of whispers continued to mentally barrage her. It felt more intense than usual: tainted with the dark energies she had remembered in the past. It was oppressive and overbearing: even with her training to suppress the worst of the whispers, Altina felt her mental defenses faltering to the lures of the voices.

Altina staggered to her feet, paying no heed to her tattered clothes, and stumbled off. Although seemingly aimless, her path took her to the same landmark that others were drawn towards.

Trini happened to think that "rescue team" constituted a major overestimation of the resources at hand, not to mention her own abilities, especially given her and Corran's recent history. The little Amaran looked around nervously during the comm conversation, rooting around in the rubble until she found a length of durasteel rebar that she could pull free of a chunk of rubble. She brandished the makeshift tool uncertainly.

Gods, what am I supposed to do? I only clear up rubble once it's been in place a few thousand years!! She thought to herself.

When they got moving again, however, Trini trailed along behind, weaving through the fallen chunks of metal, duracrete and machinery. When they turned down a staircase toward the basement, she blinked in confusion, but continued.

"W-Where are we going??" She called uncertainly as the door slid closed behind him. "Shouldn't we try and dig people out from the rubble on the surface??"

As they continued down the corridor, Trini suddenly felt a chill up her spine. The little Amaran - elbow covering her mouth to block out the noxious smoke - looked around warily, her ears swiveling as she struggled to pick up a faint sound over the roaring flames and blaring alarms.

A soft, electrical whine...

"CORRAN! GET DOWN!!"

Trini threw her small body against the Sector Ranger as hard as she could, trying to throw him to the ground ahead of the flurry of blaster bolts unleashed by an insectile, hovering droid...

It began as an average day like any other. Falynn had gone home early to finish up some paperwork before allowing herself the rest of the day to focus on other tasks. So she had been in the middle of doing some routine housework when her comm buzzed, alerting her to an incoming call. While Falynn technically had no other work obligations for the day, she was always on call, and answered. The voice on the other end sounded panicked as they relayed the urgent news. “Thank you. I’ll be over in a moment.” Quickly slipping into her gear, Falynn raced to what she hoped wouldn’t just be a pile of debris and ashes.

No, it was much worse. Everything was in disarray. The sounds of screaming and crying could be heard even from a distance. People flooded the streets, some running into the fray, others from it. As a medic, it was Falynn’s role to tend to the wounded, and the deceased. As a Ranger, it was her duty to protect those who couldn’t protect themselves. Gazing at the burning building before her, Falynn knew she would have no choice but to go inside. It was crucial as many people as possible were removed from the Sector Ranger Headquarters before it collapsed any further. Then, she would deal with the other side of things. But going in alone wasn’t a good idea. Especially because there were likely multiple wounded. Falynn searched the grounds, her eyes landing on a Zeltron with long, purple hair (@Elara Salis ). She rushed over and began hurriedly introducing herself. "Hello, my name is Ranger Tikarsis. I'm a medic." Here came the more difficult part. "I'm sorry to have to ask this of you, but would you be willing to help me rescue people from the building?" She gestured to the fallen tower, "I could really use a second set of hands." While Falynn had cut straight to the point, she retained her kind, almost friendly tone of voice. If she had been able to accomplish the task alone, she would have. But Falynn also knew the importance of asking for help when it was needed, and this was one of those times. The fact remained that if the Zeltron declined, she would have to go in alone, lest she risk losing more precious time.

A bit confused still by what was happning all the rodian managed to utter when Marissa spotted him was a soft "That wasn't-", but Preef's joy over seeing Marissa alive and well quickly disappeared as a dense cold invaded his body and the Sith appeared in view. Kriff, guys like that were stuff of nightmares, but his words surprised the rodian the most and before the Sith turned and moved Preef was already casting an angry look at Marissa. "Could've told-"

Marissa threw her hands up and confessed her innocence. They had been partners for years now, trusted each other with their lives in hairy situations and that allowed Preef to immediately recognize her sincerity. She was like family, though she'd make an ugly Rodian.

Suddenly Preef got an idea, "Remember when the Sith attacked the rangers on Corellia?" he asked rhetorically, "They murdered everyone with a badge, but I don't remember them stealing all the credits, spice and trinkets in the evidence lock-up." The rodian gunslinger grinned and then turned towards their own makeshift hole in the sewer pipeline to address his little team of locals, "Get in here and grab an extra blaster!"

Now, in Preef's mind, the biggest issue now would be getting away with a fortune in illicit goods. Through the sewers made sense as that was their original plan anyway and the surface would be overrun with law enforcement and first aid types of good samaritans. Thing is, they never intended to bring loot... "Kel-" the rodian pressed the speak button on his comm link, "-Sith are attacking the building, but they're working with the Black Sun-" he looked at Marissa, somewhat confused by this development still, "-I need you to get a speeder and meet us at the sewer exit. We're going to rob the evidence room while we're here."

Chaotic, at best. Someone had overheard him say Corran's name, then told him something before running off. Someone else apparently overheard him as well and identified herself as a Jedi, then Corran came back over the comm, confirming that massive explosion came from the ranger headquarters and begged him for help. Kriff. If they had only left him alone and if only he didn't try to contact Corran he could've.. no, couldn't think like that. Remember? When they went after Trys you said you weren't going to be a coward again. Yes, Outpost Blue happened because of it, but this is just helping survivors of a blast...

Then the Jedi suddenly revealed there were Sith in the building and more or less ordered Darmus to be her guide. Double Kriff. Fear almost completely froze him and yet he instinctively accepted the stun pistol. "I'll-" he muttered breathlessly, "-okay."

With strained muscles and a heartbeat that touched 150, Darmus followed the Zeltron Jedi inside and did his best to guide her through the building, finding alternatives when a hallways had collapsed and entering in his passwords to get them through security doors quickly. When they entered the dank basement he tried to contact Corran again, "Corran, this is Darmus. I'm in the basement with a Jedi. Your location?"

There were still sirens and shouts for help all around as Elara was trying to process the scene. She's never seen such a thing. Back home she was used to hearing about small time crimes, thefts, things like that. She wondered if this was an accident at all. If it wasn't, what were they trying to achieve?? Death? Destruction? She guesses they would tick yes on both counts, but Elara doubted that was it. She was snapped out of her shock by someone approaching and introducing themselves.

"Hello, my name is Ranger Tikarsis. I'm a medic. I'm sorry to have to ask this of you, but would you be willing to help me rescue people from the building? I could really use a second set of hands. "

Elara was still a little stunned but given the situation she tried to shake it off.

"Yes..yes of course. Ranger Elara Salis, I will be more than happy to help. I just... can't believe this happened..I'm not a medic but I'd be happy to provide support. Lead the way, Tikarsis." She says so as she takes a hair band from one of the side pockets of her blast vest and very roughly ties her hair in a pony tail, at least it wouldn't get in the way.

"I also have a ship though it only accomodates around 6 passengers , so I could have my atromech bring it if we really need to evacuate someone urgently"

Kel's black-and-orange T-80 speeder bike swerved between traffic, rapidly approaching the rendez-vous point at the sewers entrance. The scoundrel brought the bike to a sudden stop, parking it just outside the sewer entrance. That's when the comlink beeped again; this time Preef was on the line himself and explained the situation. Sith? Black Sun? Robbing the evidence room? That was one Malachor of a change of plan. But all Kel would have to do is source a speeder; his bike definitely wouldn't have enough room. Not a difficult job, but it definitely meant a bigger take. After a moment of consideration, he replied affirmatively: "You got it."

Now all that was left was find a speeder, get inside, and hotwire it. An easy job... If it weren't for all the Rangers and law enforcement lurking around and rushing towards the burning HQ. Trying to hijack a speeder in front of them was practically begging for arrest. Now wait a second... An idea crossed Kel's mind; probably the best idea he'd had in a while.

Confident in his plan, the scoundrel rushed towards the nearest parking lot. There, he found what he was looking for: an Ithorian who was unlocking his CC3 Avian in a hurry. It was probably the explosion that had spooked him; but it didn't matter. What mattered is that he had the car and the keys, and Kel was about to get both.

"Hold on! Sector Ranger business," the young man rushed towards the Ithorian, flashing a legitimate Sector Ranger badge—courtesy of a gruff ranger who liked dramatic gestures, but didn't consider their consequences. "I'm requisitioning your car to get to the HQ!" Before the dumbfounded alien could respond, Kel was already grabbing the keys from his hand.

The trick was to keep the pressure and create urgency. That way, the mark wouldn't have the time to analyze Kel's words, question his intentions, or offer to be the person behind the wheel. "It's dangerous out here! Go inside the nearest building and stay there for a few hours. You'll be safer there," before the Ithorian could contradict anything, Kel was already starting the ignition. "You'll find your car parked at Valorum Drive. But for now, stay inside!" With that, the scoundrel hit the gas and disappeared behind the corner, leaving the Ithorian behind.

Taking the speeder to the meeting point at the sewers, Kel chuckled nervously. He couldn't believe the plan actually worked. But either way, Preef would have the extra set of repulsors with cargo and passenger space.

Ilana was no stranger to being shot at. She was also no stranger to assault, or the Sith. The signature hum was all that was needed to dive down at the last second, and as she did, both plasma bolts also sailed overhead. However, the thermal det sailed over her head as well, unfortunately, and apparently went off down the floor below. She could feel the shudder of the impact before the Jedi leapt up, apparently unharmed.

Flexing her arms she lifted up from the ground in a hard push, personal coat revealing her choice of profession. Doctor. However...

Her eyes glowed bright gold in the snowy white of her face, anger and hatred burning deep in her veins. The vibroknife that sailed over her head had to be returned to its' owner. Gaining control with the Force, she rerouted its' trajectory back to the red-blade, a small pulse of electricity from her fingers making the blade unstable by the time it would reach back to them. At reaching its' destination, it would shatter into a dozen buzzing shards, burying into the chest and stomach of the Sith there or his companion, depending who caught it first.

But she didn't wait. Instead she pushed on for cover of her own behind another pillar, holding her blaster out from its' holster. When impact would occur, she would aim from her cover of a mirroring pillar to the saber wielder once more with two stuns for the chest and hips.

Hearing Lorcan's words, she grimaced.
"One gun, one Sith, twelve-o'clock," she clipped out, already prepping for a second attack.

The Force hummed in her veins, a seething, hungry siren call. She was certain of one thing. She felt remarkably cool and level-headed, but rage also burned deep within her gut. If they harmed Corran, there would be hell to pay. She would watch them all burn.

The young man tilted his head slightly at the little Lepi's question, smirk widening into a grin. "Technically, you got here first. Shouldn't you be welcoming me?" He laughed briefly at his own joke. "But yes, I hear the call. How interesting that you do as well." But that wasn't the only thing he heard. The distinctive sensation of living Dark Siders, as well as fellow Jedi, were clearly felt by the young Jedi once he had a moment to properly center himself. He clearly recognized Max and Indy, along with some others he was less familiar with. The Dark Siders were a mystery, and in the background energy of Dathomir he might not have recognized them regardless.

Beneath it all was a presence of some kind, one that Hannibal couldn't quite pin down as it quickly retreated from his senses while he approached the Lepi. How interesting.
"Ego, scout ahead," he instructed, pointing toward the general feeling of the pull. The little seeker droid whirred an affirmative and rushed toward the hill, sensors going in an active scan. Hannibal had little intel on this world, but he'd had Ego for years and he'd always pulled through on scout duty.

"Unless you have other plans, I suggest we stick together. There's danger ahead." He mostly meant what were probably Sith, but also in general. The Force was a tricky thing, and he didn't much trust the mysterious siren call toward the distant hill. He stared at it for a moment. "I'm following the call," he announced for the Lepi's benefit before moving at a brisk pace toward the hill. He wasn't any farther from it than anyone else, just in a different orientation. A black and gold plated lightsaber slipped its way into his left hand as he moved, just in case. It should be a little while before he came across the Dark Siders, but even so, he expected a fight. Plus, who knew what else could be around here? Probably doom spiders or something. It was always something dramatic when the Force was involved.

Meanwhile, Ego's swift pace and ability to fly above any cover allowed it to get closer quite quickly. It spotted two darkly dressed figures in the distance, pinging Hannibal's comm as a result. Based on its internal protocols, it labeled these two figures as 'Sith' in its brief report. Who else dressed like that? It watched the two figures and followed them from a distance, recording both their position and their appearance and transmitting its data feed to the Catspaw. The more intel the better, after all. Ego also took the liberty of locking onto Max and Indy's personal comm signal sand pinging them with Hannibal's comm code, serving as a signal booster in the face of the oncoming storm. In case they hadn't notice Hannibal was around by now.

Before Corran would even reply to the Amaran's worried questions, a faint humming could be heard echoing off the dimly lit walls of the basement. It sounded mechanical and it was getting nearer. Instinctively, the Ranger unbuckled the holster for his sidearm and brushed his fingers over the grip. Before the humming noise even came into view, a tiny being of fur and energy collided into the Ranger's back and sent him hurling to the floor. Not a moment too soon, as the Viper Droid unleashed a hailstorm of laser fire as soon as it rounded the corner. Luckily, the young man was already drawing his blaster before Trinni bravely shoved him out of harm's way.

He hit the duracrete floor with a heavy thud, knocking some of the wind out of his lungs, and with his arms stretched forward holding the blaster up by his elbows. Without taking time to get precise aim, Corran pulled the trigger as many times as he could in the span of seconds. A hallway was similar to a shooting gallery enough as it is and a floating, wide scout droid made a pretty large target in such a small space. Getting as many blaster bolts down range as possible increased the chance for successive hits. The deadly Viper Droid had a similar advantage, though the Ranger being knocked prone by his temporary companion might have given them the few seconds they needed to stay out of the droid's targeting reticle.

Regardless if the shots landed on the deadly machine or not, Corran needed to get out of the immediate line of fire. Near his right was a slightly ajar door, likely forced open by the concussion of the exploding building above it. He immediately began rolling over on his side, staying prone and as low to the floor as possible until he had managed to kick the door open and slide in. It was a cleaning supplies closet. Scrambling up to a sitting position, his back against a shelf bolted to the wall and covered in soap containers, the blond youth's commlink chirped again. It was Darmus again and he was somewhere down her with them and with a Jedi no less. Corran fumbled with his communicator, leaving it on the Sector Range local channel instead of the personal connection. It was primarily used for APBs or updates to other units when a squad car was in pursuit of a suspect. "Ranger Onn!" It was so good to hear a friendly voice relatively nearby. "We're near the basement stairwell. By the landing pad exit doors. We are engaging hostiles, I repeat, engaging hostiles. Over."

If the droid was still functional, the young man would blind fire around the wall that provided the barest of cover. If it had gotten closer, even blind firing would likely strike its center mass. No matter what happened, the rescue had turned into a firefight and things had gone from disastrous to worse still.

A new plague out of Nar Shadaa, at least that is what the rumors said. And rumors were all that it took. After only 2 days into the voyage the luxury liner Corusca Gem had turned right around. The Galaxy's rich and famous were going to take no risk. They were going to go back to their secure homes, estates, and bunkers and wait out whatever rumor had threatened the galaxy this time. Never mind that the cruise was going nowhere near Nar Shadaa, never mind there had been no serious plague in hundreds of years, no matter that, more likely than not they were all perfectly safe, even on the Corusca Gem.

Not that Elikar was complaining about the unplanned and very paid vacation but he'd miss the tips and he'd be called back the second Corusca Gem was ready to set forth again, so no extended planetary visits. Could be worse, a lot worse. Elikar had just disembarked and had a serious craving for noodles. Luckily he knew just the place. A nice spot adjacent to the Sector Ranger HQ. It was a local place owned by a nice Talz couple. Apparently, at one point during its life it had been a diner but had redecorated so many times there was little of the diner feel. Still, a nice spot with good food.

Elikar walked to the nearest taxi stand, hopped in the open air taxi, and told the droid driver where he was headed. Elikar set his duffel in the seat next to him. It contained most of his personal belongings. Although he practically lived on the liner, he didn't trust others around his few personal possessions. The ride was pleasant, as was the weather. The wind whipped through Elikar's hair and cloths. He wasn't wearing his company uniform, no, he had on more comfortable and practical clothes that would allow him more freedom of movement, not that he'd need it.

The speeder taxi approached the station near the Sector Ranger's HQ and descended. Elikar was thing about what he'd get from the noodle place when a massive explosion ripped through the air. The shock wave sent the taxi into a nose dive and it was all Elikar could do to hang on. The droid pilot had been obliterated by shrapnel but Elikar was soon able to gain some measure of control despite the damage to the engines and control surfaces. Good thing too.

The speeder was headed directly for the second floor where Elikar could see a number of beings... and blaster fire. Elikar did his best to slow down and aim the taxi. He prepared himself, grabbed his duffel, and leapt seconds before impact. The taxi careened into the floor of the already wreck building and slid the distance between the two groups of combatants taking out pillars and anything else in its way until it hit the other side of the room and exploded further damaging the already unstable structure.

Elikar's leap took him toward the group without the figure with the red blade. Even under normal circumstances the leap would have been a challenge but Elikar was still disoriented from the explosion and blood was streaming down his face from minor shrapnel wounds. His landing was awkward and he fell and skidded to a stop near a woman taking shots at the red bladed figure. Her complexion was pale and her eyes bright. At least that's what Elikar thought. He was dazed, his ears rang, and he could feel pain in various parts of his body, not good. Although he was no Jedi, he used the techniques his father taught him to take stock of his injuries and do his best to alleviate them so he could continue to function... and survive.

Nar Shaddaa
Izel quickly turned around as she heard a voice call out to her and Isen. Another Mandalorian? What a small galaxy. This one didn't seem as friendly as the last Izel had encountered, but at least she wasn't shooting at them... Yet. "A horrifically rude introduction." She quietly agreed with her apprentice with a nod. "But she's offering us her talents, so we can forgive her poor manners. Ranged weapons are better suited against our enemies anyway." Clearing her throat Izel stepped out of the tunnel into the light and raised a hand in a small wave.

"Greetings!" She summoned a friendly tone, though she still harbored some suspicion. Nar Shaddaa wasn't called the 'Smuggler's Moon' for nothing after all. The Mandalorian could easily be a Syndicate thug out for the bounty on lightsabers. "We were just looking for a friend, and performing some pest control along the way. You're welcome to join us!" In all honesty they could use all the help they could get. These monsters were dangerous enough on their own, throw in the dark tunnels and possibility this had all been orchestrated by some malevolent force and Izel was more than eager to accept any support offered to her.

Nar Shaddaa

Closer examination of the two jedi gave Minvera some pause. A boy and a giant bug. What kind of joke is this? Her helmet hid her disbelieving glare. There was no one else as far as she could note. To show that she didn’t mean to fight them unless they started it Minvera lowered the blaster.

Bug lady(Izel) was diplomatic, Minvera noted. Hopefully they can actually fight otherwise we’re screwed. A moment later she answered sarcastically.

“Oh I should’ve brought beer and snacks then. Your friend better be right about her information Jedi.”

The Mandalorian briskly advanced in front of the pair with the rifle at the ready. “Let’s not stop wasting time and go find her already.”

Nar Shaddaa

"A horrifically rude introduction," his master told him in confidence. Isen couldn't help but smirk. The teenage Kiffar was coming to like his Master's dry wit...if it was wit. It was hard to tell sometimes. Of course, Master Thral was perfectly diplomatic in person.

“Oh I should’ve brought beer and snacks then. Your friend better be right about her information Jedi," The Mandolorian said as she briskly walked in front of them. “Let’s not stop wasting time and go find her already.”

Isen gave the armored warrior a short look over and followed with a "Hmph. Agreed." Without saying another word, he turned around and jumped through the hole created by Nara Allam in the grate to the underground passages. It was dark, pitch black, save for the cobalt blaze of light coming from the lightsaber hilt he ignited. It was so dark, he drew the other hilt and ignited it as well. It didn't exactly light up the joint, but it was better than before.

Even Isen had to admit it was eerie below the surface. The darkness enveloped you. The stench was a mixture of sewer and death. There were sounds, indistinguishable as to what they were, but they were ominous. It was hard to tell where the sound was coming from in the maze of tunnels with twists and turns and different pathways available. The sound bounced off the walls in all directions creating an echo effect so strong that it was hard to tell where a sound started and where it was going. In short, it was the perfect place for an ambush or a stalking enemy. Isen understood these creatures to be mostly mindless monsters, unthinking creatures. Then again, he might not should underestimate them...

He took a few steps forward to give the others room to drop and waited for his master and their new "friend" to join him.
