I saw lots of fans cast Siddig as that exact character online before, that's pretty cool.

Big fan of Jonathan Pryce so I'm excited to hear this.

So.... that was a pretty fantastic season premier. Not a lot going on but it definitely set up some amazing story lines. In particular I am
looking forward to Tyrion and Varys meeting Daenerys, Jon clashing with Stannis and his Red Woman at the Wall, and the Faith Militant coming out to play in King's Landing.

What did you all think?

There's a lot more creative liberties this season, and thank **** for that since the source material is really dull at this point.

Agreed. I was cringing before I saw the trailers thinking that I was going to have to suffer through a focus on the Greyjoy Brothers and Cersei while Jon and Arya and Tyrion and Daenerys pittered around in the background. I think the creative liberties are going to make it even more exciting because there are so many more opportunities for those shocking surprised moments that people who read the series haven't gotten. And by cutting down on some extraneous characters and events (Jeyne Poole posing as Arya Stark, the Blackfish at Riverrun, etc etc) we get to focus on the meat of the story and the characters.

Im also really believing that they've cut out "Griff" and "Young Griff" with some of the dialogue Varys had with Tyrion.

Sansa's story gets a massive overhaul in particular.

I only recently just saw Season 4 and I loved everything about it except Daenerys. Can't wait for this season!

Varys seemed rather unbothered by throwing Tyrion's poop overboard.

Varys seems unbothered by everything in general.

Also, is there any information on the whole Young Griff arc?

It won't be in the series. I think D & D simply merged Aegon and Danny.

Hmm, problem is that he could've been like the end of the War of the Roses for the Targaryens/Blackfyres. The last Blackfyre marrying the last Targaryen ending the division after five rebellions and giving her a pure Valyrian husband and someone with the blood of the dragon to command one of her dragons.

But on other news, I need to actually watch it. I have a bunch of school work + work + social life and want to know if it's worth the time spent.

So Ive watched the first Four Eps because I was extremely bored last night. XD Theyre pretty amazing. Definitely gunna watch them again when they air.

*Spoilerish Spoilers*

*Seriously Spoilers*

*SPOILERS!*

This season seems to be built around conflict between two factions in each different location this season instead of a big war between everyone. Like Dany vs Sons of the Harpy, The Crown vs The Faith Militant etc. Its kinda amazing. :D Im also liking the story at Castle Black. Bringing Stannis, Milisandre and Jon Snow together was an AWESOME idea. Also, Im liking where the Sansa plotline is taking her with Ramsay Snow and how it could possibly connect her up with Jon Snow again. And then Littlefinger telling her the story of her Aunt and Rhaegar. Right after a scene with Jon Snow. ;) Kinda disappointed in Aryas plot so far. And Brienne continuously getting rejected is depressing, but they are really making her out to be the best fighter in the show atm, what with the Hound and Mountain (or Should I say, what I think is supposed to be Frankensteins monster) out of commission. Of Course theres Bronn too.

The Most Memorable moment so far for me though, is when Dany goes out on her balcony and theres Drogon waiting for her in a FAR nicer way than usual. <3 <3 <3 Cant wait for the rest of the season.

While I miss the world building that Brienne's book plot offered, I'm really enjoying what she's doing in the show so far. Same for Jamie, seems like he'll have some interesting things in store. I will miss his book plot too though. :C

Anyway, I can't help but disagree with the previous statements about the latter books being boring. They slow down as a result of the war (pretty much) ending and everything, but I still found everything very enthralling.

Kinda disappointed in Arya's plot so far.

Can I ask why? (I've also watched to ep. 4, btw.)

Having read the books, I think the showrunners are doing a great job adapting Arya's plot.

I really like what's going on with Brienne and Pod. They're my favorite pairing so far this season.

Yeah. It's even better in the books. Which you would know if you would just read them. >.<
