'Genocide' a 'weighted term' says expert.

Following calls to brand the assault on Firrerre as a 'genocide', Professor of Galactic History, Has Hasbeen of the University of Kuat has appealed for de-escalation, and for calmer language around the ongoing crisis at Firrerre. Speaking on Galactic Gossip on Core News Network this morning, he said:

"Look, whenever there's a minor skirmish in the rimward worlds, people always bandy around terms like 'massacre' and 'genocide' without understanding the deeper historical implications of what those terms actually mean. Firstly, this could be an isolated incident - hell, it could even be an industrial accident, we don't actually have footage of the attack, just the world of a Senator, who obviously has an agenda here. I for one find it hard to believe that the Sith would just jump across the FWAs borders, and attack a seemingly unimportant world for no reason. I know as much as the next guy that there's a lot of anti-Sith prejudice out there, mostly because the anti-Sith crowd literally wrote the history books, but that's no excuse to ignore the fact that we don't have all the information yet."

"Secondly, we need to look at what could have provoked this attack - if it even is an attack and not a planetwide industrial accident - and only then can we start attaching such weighted terms as 'genocide' to it."

"I don't think it is unreasonable to say that Firrerre should have been able to defend itself in this instance as well. Look, if your world is just sitting out there in open space, without the ability to muster even the slightest defence, from what looks to be, at best, a random attack by pirates, then why should we all be up in arms about it? Like c'mon, the FWA made it clear they didn't want help, so why are they now so shocked when people take advantage? It's a rough Galaxy folks!

Professor Hasbeens words have been deemed 'insensitive by some and 'harsh but fair' by others.

Once again reflecting how most experts, should be ignored.
