Zolotoy "Zol" Tsviets entered the meditation room and sat down, getting into position. The room had been reserved by his to-be master, a woman named Haven. Zol arrived an hour early to collect his thoughts.
I'm a bit nervous, Zol admitted to himself silently. I hope I don't make a fool out of myself. Will my master like me or despise me?
Zolotoy tried to shake his anxiety out of his head and tried to calm himself. He took deep breaths and began to meditate.

Haven Magnus, aged 28, smiled with rather great conviction as she made her way to one of the meditation rooms of the Monastery. Her shoulder length white hair outlined her pale face as she walked at a brisk pace. Though Haven was generally upbeat, she had even more reason to be so today. Rather than succumbing to her normal sleeping habits, Haven had set her alarm to ring once every 5 minutes 2 hours early. Also, she placed it far enough to be out of her normal reach, as previous modules of sleeping clocks had found themselves in the trash pile after being destroyed by their irresponsible owner.

Smiling, Haven was over joyed, thinking that for once she would arrive earlier than the other participant of the appointment. That is, until she opened the door. A rather shocked look appeared on her face, before turning into a wide grin as she shook her head in amusement. Walking up to the meditating padawan, Haven would bow as she studied her latest padawan.

"Hello there!" She beamed, speaking casually. "My name is Haven, Haven Magnus. Pleased to meet you."

Zol stood up and bowed. "Nice to meet you, Master Magnus. My name is Zolotoy Tsviets." Normally he'd mention that most people called him Zol but wasn't sure what to say to his new teacher. He had done basic training for a couple years but this was his first time being taught one-on-one. He hoped to meet and exceed his new mentor's expectations.

Haven chuckled, most Padawans were always so polite... "Just Haven is fine too, unless we are in a formal occasion." Haven wasn't sure whether Zolotoy had been at the Monastery since childhood as she had not seen him before. Nevertheless, the Monastery did house a lot a large number of people. Before they leaped right into training, Haven liked to find out more about her padawans as to gain a better feel for how the training would progress. Haven gestured to Zolotoy to sit as she took a seat on the floor herself.

After crossing her legs and making herself comfortable, she turned to Zolotoy who had presumably also sat down again. "So. How long have you been with the order?" Haven asked, smiling. She studied him, who looked to be older than any of her previous padawans.

"I've been with the Jedi Order for six years," informed Zolotoy. "I was originally stationed at Alderaan but when my father, the Senator of Alderaan, died in the recent Senate attack, I wanted to take some time away from home, since it just didn't feel the same anymore with him dead. So I came here. I completed another month of training and here I am."

((Hello, if you don't mind, may we do the other method of 'training'? i.e, just do mission threads? XD))

"Oh?" Haven thought aloud. "The son of a senator..." The terrorist attack was one that is still ever fresh in the minds of Republic, and she doubts that would change any time soon. "So i'm sure that you have undergone basic training? if so, i would very much like to take part in assignments right away. After all, there are only so many Jedi, and the number of requests of help has multiplyed by tenfold in these past few weeks."

"Sure," agreed Zolotoy. "However, I would request to learn Force Concealment before we set out."

Haven thought about this carefully. Yes, though she could teach the technique to Zolotoy during the mission, it was true that many things go wrong during assignments. Yes... Haven thought as she nodded, deciding that it would be better for Zolotoy to at least hold some knowledge of the ability, lest she regret it later. "Very well, but we do need to make haste." Haven answered, smiling. For Zolotoy to master the full components and aspects of the skill quickly would be likely impossible, but Haven was confident that he could at least learn how to hide his force signature during this session.

"When you sense a force-sensitive, with practice, their force signature should become quite familiar. Even 'visible' as currents perhaps. When you are trying to hide yourself from such view, you must allow the force to blend around yourself. This will take a lot of concentration, but allow the force to run past your body, as though as if blurring the edges of your presence."

"I'll try," promised Zolotoy.
Zolotoy cleared his mind and focused on connecting himself to his Force signature. As Haven had suggested, he tried to blur it with his surroundings. It was starting to work...
But quickly ended.
"Shoot!" cursed Zolotoy, frustrated.
Zol tried again. This time he managed to hold on to it for a second before it untangled. Zolotoy sighed.
"You're right," said Zol. "It does take a lot of concentration."
