Here are a list of good Star Wars books that found very good to read. These books also fill in main events not mentioned in the movies.

- Star Wars Thrawn
-Star Wars Tarkin
-Star Wars Lost Stars
-Star Wars Aftermath series
-Star Wars Catalyst A Rogue One Story
-Star Wars The Last Command

One i would suggest is Star Wars: Twilight Company which was actually surprisingly good.
Yes I forgot about that book. I read it over the summer, and it was super good. Another good book is Star Wars Dark Disciple

Hi. You might enjoy Rebel Rising, especially as you enjoyed Catalyst.
It may be aimed at younger readers, but it certainly isn't a children's book.
I posted a thread about it in this forum.

(By the way, did you know that The Last Command is now considered Legends? It stood out as an odd-one-out in your list.)

Though now unfortunately relegated to the Legends continuity the X-WING series of books by Michael A Stackpole are an excellent read and probably feature some of the best written starfighter scenes in Star Wars to date. I never read any of the ones by Aaron Allston but they are probably also pretty good. They also give us a break from reading about the big three (Luke, Han and Leia) to show what the best starfighter pilot in the galaxy (Wedge Antilles of course!) is up to.

I simply cannot recommend them highly enough. Beyond even being good Star Wars books, they are excellent stories by themselves.

Thankyou for posting that. :)

I've never bothered to look at those because they are not about the Jedi, but I think I will now. Which is the best, in your opinion?

The Han Solo Trilogy books are short and cheesy, but good fun. I'm especially a fan of Han Solo & the Lost Legacy, which has Han being Indiana Jones BEFORE there was an Indiana Jones! They're also some of the earliest written books in Legends, so they're a great insight into what SW was at the beginning.
The Lando Calrissian books are also good.

I think my personal favorite is probably Wedge's Gamble, even though most of the book takes place on the ground, but I would probably start with the first book, Rogue Squadron, and move on from there.

Here are the best Star Wars books ( imo ) listed in order:

1. Revenge of the Sith.
2. Path of Destruction.
3. Yoda: Dark Rendezvous.
4. Labyrinth of Evil.
5. Darth Plagueis.
6-8. The Thrawn Trilogy.
9. Shatterpoint.

The Thrawn Trilogy is a classic, but my favorite Star Wars book is actually the Revenge of the Sith novelization. Absolutely beautiful writing in there.

Tbh I think it's the best Star Wars book by far. The prose is godly.

Shatterpoint was definitely another high point for Star Wars literature.
