History

Grace was born on the planet Anaxes as an heir to the Zann Consortium, a once great criminal empire. The young woman's father, who previously ran the organization, drove it into the ground by gambling away all their proceeds. While her father was busy getting high and squandering what credits they had, the toddler that was Grace at the time began to show strange abilities. Abilities that many would consider to be unnatural. Occasionally, she would manage to reach things from high shelves or even cause objects to float by pointing at them. While the young girl had little idea what this all meant, her father Tyser, knew all too well what was going on... His little girl was one of those force users, like the dathomirian witches his ancestors once conspired with.

It was at that moment he saw two ways this could go, either he could send his girl off to train with the jedi or he could let her stick around, and risk her untamed power someday turning on him. If the jedi did train her, maybe she would come back and make them a pile of credits some day? It was certainly a possibility. So, one day after injecting a load of glitterstim into himself, the man would put his daughter into a droid-piloted starfighter headed for Dantooine. He would leave a long letter in the starfighter however, indicating that he was a 'concerned father' and wanted his daughter to return to him someday. With the girl only being three years old, she would hardly remember her father...

Grace's time at the jedi academy on Dantooine was interesting to say the least. Though she would not always take to new lessons quickly, when the young girl did finally grasp teaching she would remember them well. As Grace grew in age the jedi would teach and preach ways of selflessness, charity, and compassion. For whatever reason, the young girl was a relatively selfish individual, she sought status and material wealth as if it were a second nature. Was it possible to both do good and acquire material goods? Maybe?

This was eventually tested when she became a teenager. Envying the new robes of another padawan, she would attempt to sneak into her room and ruin them in the night. Unfortunately, she was caught during this little caper, and was reprimanded accordingly. An entire month of janitorial duty... One she would serve angrily and disappointed, laughed at by her peers. At the same time however, she knew what she did was wrong. She needed to atone for that.

Deciding to apologize to the other girl, she would make her way over to the dormitories the next day. As she did, the other young jedi would be telling their masters a venomous lie. One of them had 'seen' Grace attempting to steel forbidden texts in the library, and claimed she attacked little Susan in the process, and she was a youngling!? They even had doctored holorecordings to boot... It was outrageous, it was unfair, and she was not granted the rank of knight. Instead, she was sent back home, expelled from the Jedi order.

Returning to her father, she would quickly realize that the man was a criminal and a sleazy one at that. Tyser would regale his daughter with the grand tale of their family's legacy, and how she was destined to become a Queen of the criminal underworld. The man was drunk as he spoke, giving her very little hope for this... Even still, the possibility of gaining both status and credits was very alluring.

Throughout her teenager years, she would run various jobs for her father to keep the Zann Consortium running, though after time it seemed pointless. Their organization barely had a fraction of the Hutt's power, and was laughable compared to Crimson Dawn or the Pykes. They were hardly a gang now, let alone a proper syndicate.

As she grew older, Grace would teach herself all she could about both business and economics. If their organization was going to be profitable again, they needed to branch out, start investing in legitimate business in addition to their criminal enterprises. Most importantly, they needed a way into the five syndicates. If they could pull that off, then the Zann Consortium would reign supreme once more. Her father, meanwhile, said that she was in over her head.

Angered, Grace would ignite a yellow blade from her lightsaber and swiftly slash, cleaving the man's head from his neck. Her father was dead, and she remained as the heir to the Consortium. Or what was left of it.

With out much in the way of credits or assets, she would contact the five syndicates, offering herself as a scoundrel in their ranks. Should she prove her worth, then perhaps the Consortium could be restored.

CHARISMA:

Skills
  • Lightsaber Combat. Grace was trained in lightsaber combat at a very young age. While at the jedi academy of Tython she learned much of Shi-cho in her early years, followed by Niman in her later years. Though she was not the greatest duelist, her ability to memorize techniques was legendary. Overall Skill Level: Above Average.

  • Blasters. Grace was always taught that blasters were clumsy weapons, and her father just reinforced that idea. The man was constantly drunk or high, so the small amount of shooting he taught her was sub-par. Overall Skill Level: Below Average.

  • The Force. As a former jedi padawan, Grace has received formal training in the force, but compared to jedi masters her training was not extensive. She can use many neutral force abilities such as telekinesis, force speed, force enhancement, and force sense. Overall Skill Level: Average.

  • Business. The most powerful weapon in Grace's arsenal is her business sense, developed over many years from study. Combining her knowledge of economics with her natural charm allows her to frequently strike excellent deals and trades. Overall Skill Level: Well Above Average.

  • Piloting. Though her father was no pilot, Grace was trained by other members of the consortium that could fly. She knows how to pilot a large number of different vessels, but still can't manage to pull off any crazy manuvers just yet. Overall Skill Level: Average.
