Greeting everyone, my name is Azenethi or more commonly Azi. This is my first time playing an RPG like this. I am an avid lover of all things Star Wars, although I have never really gotten into legends until recently. I have spent a fair bit of time researching the lore of Star Wars as I must say I am a sort of lore nerd. When I got into the parts about the Pre-Republic and Old Republic eras, I felt entirely captivated by it! I have been reading the role plays on this site for a while, but I never actually tried to get into making them for the fear that my own would not be up to standards with the rest of the amazing creations on this site. With the new timeline set in the era that I love, I feel a need to try my hand at making content. So far I have an amazing idea for my pc that I hope that I can flesh out to be great. I thank you all for your time.

Thank you. I do have a question though, with the new timeline not including any legends material, would it be against the rules to reference something like Revan or the Je'daii order? I was just thinking that as the canon does not really mention much in that area or about the founding of the Jedi/Sith we might be able to fill in the gaps a little using some legends material.

I'm not sure about the Je'daii, you should probably wait for DotR to find out - it's tomorrow btw! I have a single reference to them on my PC's Bio, but it's just the name in passing and it's stated as being folklore, i.e. probably inaccurate data.
As for Revan, my guess is a big round no. He's strictly Legends, sorry.

I've also always enjoyed reading about the time in which we now (soon) find ourselves. Don't worry about not being used to writing content, everyone is super helpful. I would suggest that when you're character is fleshed out and accepted into whichever faction you're aiming for, starting with a basic thread with another player that knows you want helpful criticism on your writing. That way they can pm you about what you're doing well and what might make your posts better.

Just a thought, but there you go. I enjoy helping people improve their writing, but sometimes advice is not welcome. *shrug*
