Welcome! Good starting points are the story so far pinned in the story subboard and the monthly newsletters in the announcement board. Joining the discord and meeting the community here is also a great place to start!

Welcome, Woosher! Some solid points addressing your post above my own so I'll simply add that you'll just as much learn the ropes as you roleplay and post along, then it'll be like riding a bike! (not sure if you can ride I bike I haven't ridden a bike in years also hi)
