Most of its surface is covered by a large ocean, G'wenee's largest landmass is where most of its famous tropical rainforests are located. One of the planet's largest cities, Bel-Parah, is also located there. The capital, Lay Pa-Sidian, is located in one of the smaller landmasses. Having been built around a bay, the city is famous for its beaches that attract millions of tourists every year. In addition to tropical rainforests, G'wenee has some areas of mangrove, savanna and wetland. However, most of these ecosystems are threatened by the expansion of cities, mines and agriculture. The planet's government is ineffective in combating the destruction of the environment.
High mountains are rare on the planet, being more common hills. The climate is predominantly tropical, with hot and rainy summers and very dry winters. In the poles the temperatures are more mild, but there is never snow.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
|In ancient times the planet was inhabited by a species of near-human known as Arandu who lived scattered across the planet, forming primitive cities-state that were constantly at war with each other. When the first human settlers arrived on the planet from Humbarine, the two species started to interact with each other. Some of the cities-state became allies with the humans, while others considered them as enemies. This resulted in several conflicts where the winning side was always the one favored by the human's technology. Over the centuries, the number of Arandu started to decline until they became extinct. The scientific community is divided regarding the reasons for the disappearance of this species, while some believe that the constant wars exterminated them, others consider that they were absorbed by the human population through reproduction. The last hypothesis is supported by genetic exams that prove the presence of genetic material of the Arandu in the human of G'wenee. Ruins of buildings made by the Arandu can be found across the planet.|
Even with their extinction, the Arandu left a great legacy in the G'weneen culture. Some of the modern cities of the planet were built over their cities-state, Arandu myths and festivals became integrated in the human culture and until the planet joined the Galactic Republic, most of the architecture was inspired by the one used by the Arandu. The musics and dances of the planet were also influenced by them, the most famous example being the Sa-mba
However, their most important impact over the human society of G'wenee was the formation of the language Sil-Cale. This language was the result of the fusion of the Arandu language and of the Old Galactic Standard, brought to the planet by the Humbariner settlers. This language is still so popular among the G'weneen that even after the Galactic Standard Basic was declared as the official language of the planet, most of the population still use Sil-Cale. While the elites of the planet have the habit of speaking Basic with some words of Sil-Cale added in it, the people living in slums and in poverty do not even know how to speak the Galactic main language.
While G'wenee is famous for its seemingly happy, charismatic and festive people, there is a great social discrepancy. While the planet is ruled by a small but rich elite that lives in the cities that are the cover of the planet's postcards seen across the Galaxy, most of its middle class population live in small towns or in decaying suburbs. Those living below the line of poverty live in slums that are located in the fringes of the large cities. These places are forgotten by the government, being plagued by crime and violence. The slums are controlled by criminal groups that fight for dominance against each other.
|The government of G’wenee is a federal presidential constitutional Republic. Presidents serve five-year terms, after this period elections are made. The planet is divided in districts ruled by a governor, who is also elected by the people.|
Corruption scandals involving the government are recurrent. Is common for some politicians to buy votes from the poor people in exchange for food or better houses. Some are also associated with the criminal organizations that rule the slums.
The G'weneen economy is self-sufficient for the most part, with their only major imports being technology and luxury items. The planet exports foodstuff, minerals and oil. The criminal groups on the planet illegally export weapons, spice and several other types of drugs. The illegal trafficking of fauna and flora is also common.
Tourism is also an important part of the planet's economy. Every year, beings from across the Galaxy visit G'wenee during its famous festivals. In the summer, the beaches became crowded.
