DESCRIPTION
The H7D series is a model of protocol droid manufactured by Holowan Mechanicals, a company which is much better known for its range of security and assassin droids. Seeking to branch out in the wake of the First Order's demise, Holowan acquired a smaller droid manufacturer known as Jecqris Domestic Systems, a venerable but ailing firm which had long produced luxury droids for high-end customers. Holowan used the expertise of Jecqris' design staff to develop a new range of products for the peacetime market, including a line of protocol droids.

Having been designed by Jecqris, the H7D does not bear much of a family resemblance to Holowan's other products. Humanoid in form, H7Ds have molded facial features similar to those of a male human. Features include an olfactory sensor, a comprehensive linguistic databank encompassing over 7 million forms of communication, an etiquette & protocol databank encompassing the laws and customs of over 1 million worlds, and a business & administration databank detailing commercial and governmental practices for just as many. Also included are a standard I/O socket for network interface and a reader socket for standard datacards.

H7Ds have gained a following in the wider Galaxy; they are used by high-level diplomats as translators and aides, by small businesses as sales clerks and accountants, and by any number of other organizations in myriad other positions. In service, H7Ds are known for having polite, detail-oriented personalities, with a good sense of discretion and lacking much of the neuroticism that was common to older protocol droids.

LEGALITY
Legal. Protocol droids such as the H7D series are permitted in most regions of the Galaxy.

INTENT
To create a standard protocol droid.
