DESCRIPTION​

The "Half-X" starfighter is a common configuration of ugly, often scrapped together by junkers, pirates, outlaw techs and other desperate and/or cash-strapped individuals. Combining the cockpit and fuselage of a BTL-A4 Y-Wing and the lower engines and S-foil assemblies of a T-65B X-Wing, the Half-X combines the features of both, resulting in a ship which is a little faster, more maneuverable and more heavily armed than the standard Y-Wing, but not as good as the X-Wing.

The Half-X is flown by a crew of 1, plus an astromech droid, and has a top speed of about 75 MGLT. Armament consists of a quartet of medium laser cannons, 2 in the nose and 2 on the wingtips; there is also a dual light ion turret, plus an ordinance launcher which can deploy torpedoes or bombs.

Restricted. Half-Xs are starfighters, and are subject to extra licensing requirements and increased scrutiny by authorities.
