DESCRIPTION​

After the destruction of his original hilt, Hannibal recovered the crystal from inside and got to work building a new one from scratch. Foreseeing frequent use, the new build was something as elegant as it was designed for dueling. It is precision weighted to Hannibal's preferences and can be technically wielded in two hands, though he far prefers the one handed approach which is reflected in its design.

The core of the hilt consists of phrik plates repurposed from an electrostaff, layered with carbon-durasteel and finally wrapped with rancor leather. The hand guard, emitter section, and pommel are all highly durable phrik, though layered in a thin coating of bronzium. The guard and pommel were painstakingly hand made instead of salvaged, a lengthy process that he insists was worth the effort. The guard can withstand prolonged contact with a lightsaber- tested with a prototype build- and can also serve as a blunt instrument in a pinch.

Like his original hilt the internals are all custom designed and it requires the same set of tools to open. The blade can be rapidly adjusted between .5, 1, and 2 meter lengths with a small control. It still uses the same kyber crystal he's had since he was a padawan, a brilliant green with a matching blade. It also has a training mode that increases power to the magnetic field for sparring and instruction. Safety first!
