Personality: Catherine is ambitious, charismatic, and above all clever. She is immensely capable, a scion of an ancient French family on her mother’s side and a family that served William the Conqueror and their successors for quite a while. Like most Slytherin, she has the reputation of being incredibly ambitious, but her ambitions tend to be more centered around her goal of ensuring that she becomes a renowned witch in her own right. It certainly does help that her family’s connections are nearly as vast as their fortune. Yet, there are cracks, she's incredibly self-conscious internally. She isn't emotionally well developed and doesn't even know who she is. She's afraid of making connections, afraid that people are going to use her, and afraid of disappointing her parents. She can no longer sleep without potions and she has so much stress that she feels that she is going to burst at any moment. Catherine like her wand, is full of contradictions, contradictions that she is struggling to remedy.

Bio:

Family Background: If you expect a sob story, then you certainly came to the wrong place. Catherine Rémond is the Eldest child and the only daughter of the current head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and the current head of the Delegate to the International Confederation of Wizards. Her father was a Gryffindor and in his 7 years at Hogwarts he won Gryffindor 7 Quidditch Cups and 4 House Cups. While her mother is a graduate of Beauxbaton who in an exchange program fell in love and kept in contact with her father and after a long courtship, the two were married. The marriage is harmonious and the two love their children quite dearly.

Early Life: Catherine was born on July 14th, 1897 during her parents summer holiday in their beach home in the South of France. Her childhood progressed normally, she was looked after by the house elf Nora and when her parents weren’t busy, them. She never had to want for anything and luckily her magical abilities manifested when she gleefully turned her preferred blonde hair black. She is a metamorphmagus and her magical abilities also were demonstrated when she levitated the poor family cat.

First and Second Year: When she was 11 she was accepted to Hogwarts and sorted into Slytherin after a five minute hatstall between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Her father was a prodigy and her mother is considered one of the top witches of her class. Yet, for Catherine, even the most basic spells gave her trouble, but she kept at it. She wanted to be the top of her class, so she would practice for hours, working hard and striving for greatness. She developed an incredible work ethic and soon she discovered that she does indeed have some natural talent and combine that with her work ethic and she began to soar. Growing more and more proficient with magic she soon became recognized as one of the better duelists and witches in school and joined the Slytherin Quidditch Squad as a reserve player.

Third Year: She soon focused her time on duelling and her academics, growing better and better and more confident as time goes on ascended the positions in her year. Climbing from the middle to the top as her academics improved leaps and bounds. She also became a starting member for the Slytherin Team as a chaser. She has amazing control of the broom able to make it dance like few others can and with her scoring and assisting in many points, Slytherin claimed victory in the Quidditch Cup.

Fourth Year: Using her success as a Chaser, Catherine was able to be named Captain after the previous Captain and most of the team left. For this year, it was brutal Quidditch-wise. The Slytherin team was developing and only had a few players and she went and rebuilt the team to encourage a more fluid style of play which worked as Slytherin, even though they were a developing team managed to not place last and she felt that next year, they will do amazingly. She also joined the dueling club and soon became renowned. While, she wasn’t as skilled as she is now, her adaptability, fundamentals, and aggression tempered with coolness enabled her to do amazingly and she also joined the Charms club and helped turn it into a fun environment. Her education continued and she soon began teaching herself the curriculum and other spells beyond her years. This began to manifest and she became the person to go to for help, or the person to avoid for rumours soon sprung out that she put a curse on a fellow student for beating her in a duel. Yet, for Catherine she soon began to shut herself off from people, playing the role of a Slytherin while internally getting more and more crushed as time went on. She also won three dueling tournaments.

Fifth-Sixth Year: Being at the top is lonely, as she rapidly outpaced many of her classmates, she began to get increasingly isolated as did the rumours. While she became Prefect and soon the captain of the Dueling club, she was getting less and less happy. People seemed to think that she is a blood-supremacist and other nasty remarks. She ignored the whispers, but they hurt her. She truly truly believes that she is at heart a good person, but she finds it hard to express it. People think that she is manipulating them to her advantage or that if they don’t hang out with her, she’ll go and hex them. While she did indeed hex people (they deserved it), they are truly frightened by her and she cannot understand why, to her, she’s still the Catherine that people knew in First and Second Year. She can’t seem to wrap her head around that they see her as someone beyond them, someone different who is to be tolerated and respected. She also became a demoness on the Pitch. Her abilities of flying soared as her magical abilities did. She led Slytherin onto many notable victories and heartbreaking defeats, in her fifth year, she led Slytherin to a championship and in her sixth lost it barely to Gryffindor in the final game of the season, a heartbreaking loss by only 10 points which put Gryffindor in the top and for them to win a Quidditch Cup and lost the House Cup, she fixed that problem really quick. She does hope that Brodie knows she’s doing this to keep him alive and while they have their… issues, she does admire him for his abilities and hopes that with the right persuasion he will turn out better. In her sixth year, she began to receive lessons by Dumbledore by order of the Headmaster in order to ensure that these rumours are unfounded and also to challenge her. Let’s just say that working with Dumbledore has been an experience, a truly wonderful experience, and she has learned a lot about magic and herself and is going to try to be her own person from this point on.

Whitney Cottrell

Name ♦ Whitney Cottrell / “Whit”
Age ♦ 17
Height ♦ 5’4” / 1.66 m
Weight ♦ 120 lb / 54.4 kg

Hometown ♦ Liverpool
Bloodline ♦ Muggle-born

Eye Color ♦ Green-blue
Hair Color ♦ Brunette
Skin Tone ♦ Fair
House ♦ Gryffindor

Voice Example ♦ Willa Holland (with Scouse accent)
Theme ♦ Coldplay - A Sky Full of Stars

”I don’t thenk that’s such a great idea...”

Personality

willa-holland-photoshoot-tumblr-wallpaper-1.jpg
Whitney is very soft-spoken, preferring to listen to others than speak. She is rather nervous and shy, and would rather not draw attention to herself if possible. This is often seen in class, where if she knows the answer to a question, she will refrain from speaking unless absolutely nobody else knows or if she wants to answer before another team does. Some wonder if her Muggle parents were abusive to her as a child to make her so shy, but such accusations are quite baseless.

Being naturally introverted, Whitney tends to stick with her closer friends, and is quite content on her own as well. Many view her as reclusive and unfriendly, but her companions know Whit for her unwavering loyalty, her gentle heart, and her continual support. Though some wonder why she wasn’t sorted into Hufflepuff, those that know her understand that despite her shyness, she contains a great deal of hidden courage when she is pushed through her insecurities to step out of her comfort zone.

In the face of extreme stress (such as verbal abuse or bullying), she will contain her composure despite the buildup of emotion inside her, instead becoming even more quiet than she normally is. After the ordeal is over, she will usually be found in her room or somewhere secluded to deal with her pent-up emotions alone.

She often tries to act as the voice of reason amongst her friends, but often ends up participating anyway out of peer pressure or simply not wanting to be left out, unless whatever they’re doing involves something public and/or embarrassing.

Magical Aptitude

images
As Whitney has studied magic throughout her school years, she quickly realized her preference for the methodical, non-spontaneous arts. As such, it came as no surprise to her when she achieved an O in Potions. She absolutely loves the art, finding it calming and soothing, and feels great satisfaction with every successful brew. Though she enjoys her friends’ company, Whit is still very self-conscious, and can easily screw up if under too much pressure or if someone is watching her work too closely.

Though she does fairly well in Transfiguration, Whit’s wandwork is clumsy, making her not very good at Charms. This is especially heightened when performing in front of others, and she is basically hopeless at demonstrating a Charm when called upon in the middle of class. Whit greatly enjoys Defense Against the Dark Arts, and she is glad that Ignatius Potter is both its teacher as well as the Head of Gryffindor House. Phineas Black, however, absolutely terrifies her, and she has never performed well in History of Magic.

Whit likes the theory and practicality of Alchemy, and also enjoys Care of Magical Creatures, being a lover of animals. She only took Muggle Studies to earn herself an easy O and to help out her friend Catherine.

Her performance at flying in her first year was absolutely dismal, ending up in an accident and injuring herself quite badly. This, and her general clumsiness with Charms, has gained her the nickname “Half-Whit”. She has avoided a broomstick ever since and only uses one where absolutely necessary. Though she will not participate in Quidditch matches, she will gladly tag along with her friends to the many games and tournaments held by the school.

Born into a Muggle household in suburban Liverpool, Whitney’s parents both worked at moderate jobs, and she attended school. Life was fairly normal. Some odd things happened here and there, but Whitney merely brushed them off as nothing and never told her parents about them. As such, it was quite a shock to them all when she received her letter inviting her to the prestigious school. After a long discussion, Whitney’s parents agreed to support her new magical endeavours.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that her previous schooling was publicly funded, her parents had little money to support her as she bought her first-year supplies at Diagon Alley. Whit quickly discovered the disadvantages of using second-hand supplies, and since then has always worked hard in the summer months to make enough money to purchase new materials every year.

Overall, Whitney has been a respectable student throughout her education, though the fact she sometimes ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time has kept her from becoming a Prefect, though this is more of a relief to her than anything.

With the oncoming of the War, Whitney’s father was enlisted to serve in the Army. Worried about his well-being, Whit has asked that her mother send her a copy of the “muggle” paper every day.

Personal Belongings

When Whitney first went to Ollivander’s to have her wand chosen, she tested several types ranging from Hornwood to Pine. She finally found her match in a simple, slightly bendy Larch wand, 9 ¾ inches long and with a Unicorn hair core.

“Strong, durable and warm in colour, larch has long been valued as an attractive and powerful wand wood. Its reputation for instilling courage and confidence in the user has ensured that demand has always outstripped supply. This much sought-after wand is, however, hard to please in the matter of ideal owners, and trickier to handle than many imagine. I find that it always creates wands of hidden talents and unexpected effects, which likewise describes the master who deserves it. It is often the case that the witch or wizard who belongs to the larch wand may never realise the full extent of their considerable talents until paired with it, but that they will then make an exceptional match.”

“Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard.”

In Whitney’s second year, she was looking through her new books in Diagon Alley when she discovered a shady pet stall. At first she would have walked by, but she realized they were about to kill a sick baby fruit bat that wasn’t selling. Stopping them quickly, she immediately purchased the poor creature, at the cost of one of that year’s books. Naming him Ziggy, Whit nurtured him back to health, and he has remained loyal to her ever since.

At night, he will usually fly away from her to eat and explore, but he always returns in the morning. Though she has a cage for him, Ziggy prefers to sleep inside Whit’s robes, a fact that initially annoyed her but has now come to accept. Some have whispered that she lets him drink her blood throughout the day, but Ziggy’s appetite is restricted to fruit and nectar.

He is known to be very stubborn; in addition, he will sometimes do odd things without rhyme or reason, and any attempt to stop him will be met with astute persistence until he has accomplished his goal. One famous example of this was when a hotheaded Gryffindor sent a tirade of insults to her face. Though Whit was content to remain silent through the ordeal, Ziggy would have none of it, acutely aware of the girl’s rising emotions. Much to her confusion, the bat defiantly crawled his way out of her robe and latched himself onto the side of her head, only to extend a wing and slap the offending tyke in the face.

Despite his nocturnal nature, Ziggy will often wake up several hours before sunset to spend time with Whit as she walks about the school.

Last year, Whitney’s friend Catherine gave her a beautiful ring as a Christmas present. The gem that adorns it constantly moves like a magical picture, winds blowing gracefully around a snowy forested mountainside.

However, it is no ordinary ring. It has been enchanted with a very subtle, weak Entrancement charm, that makes her best looks more prominent to others. In addition, it emanates a warm glow whenever there is danger nearby.

Because of its properties, Whit sometimes feels guilty about wearing the ring on a daily basis, preferring to save it for more special occasions. She also does not wear it in the presence of muggles.

Adam Chadwick
Andrew-Heat-Magazine-Photoshoot-2007-andrew-garfield-18519983-312-400.jpg
Full Name ♦ Adam Chadwick
Age ♦ 18
Hometown ♦ London
Bloodline ♦ Pureblood

Height ♦ 5’10” / 179 cm
Weight ♦ 155 lb / 70 kg

Eye Color ♦ Hazel
Hair Color ♦ Brown

Voice Example ♦ Andrew Garfield
Theme ♦ Coldplay - Miracles

Personality

0deae7955baf0ce3e0bde909102f3aaa.jpg
One of the brightest minds in Ravenclaw, Adam is a charming young man who exudes optimism and politeness wherever he goes. One can find him laughing with his friends and making small talk with other students, but often he is nose-deep in a book relating to his studies or maintaining his duties as Head Boy. Although Adam doesn’t read simply for the sake of reading, he will research extensively in the fields of his homework to completely understand the subject. Sometimes this has made more than a few of his friends upset with him, as Adam will decline spending time with them in lieu of devoting more time to study. However, some people suspect he’s actually going there to stalk other students while under the pretence of doing homework and reading.

At heart, Adam is a true gentleman. Speaking eloquently and politely, using the finer points of grammar, and continually practicing chivalrous behaviour make him a favourite among plenty of the school’s professors. One will not find him wandering around at night or breaking other rules; Adam tries his utmost to stay out of trouble and for the most part dissociates with those who do. With this in mind, he isn’t a tattletale and avoids conflict of any sort as much as he can. If Adam sees someone breaking the rules, he will usually confront them depending on how serious the offence is, but he won’t always bring it up to a teacher.

Although it isn’t too difficult to for Adam to get frustrated or upset, one would be hard pressed to make him legitimately angry. The only occasions in which he would raise his voice or confront someone is if one of his friends is in danger, or if a girl is being abused by another student. One thing that particularly raises Adam’s temper is when a particular injustice being done to either another student or himself. More often than not, he finds that this is the case when Slytherin students perpetuate lies throughout the school. Adam also as a general rule tolerates Gryffindors and likes Hufflepuffs, but dislikes Slytherins due to rather bad experiences with them over the years.

Adam suffers from self esteem issues, especially when it comes to his looks. There are a lot of other good-looking guys in the school, and Adam has had very little success with girlfriends over the years. When he is in the presence of a particularly pretty girl or someone he likes, he will grow quiet and awkward - quite the opposite of his usual self. Adam judges himself constantly and compares himself to his friends and other people, often having bouts of depression if he reflects about it for any great length of time. He needs lots of encouragement and socialization to stay out of this mindset. Though he’d never admit it, often times he unwittingly shows off with much more elaborate spells than are necessary to receive admiration from the onlookers, thereby improving his own self esteem.

Magical Aptitude

tumblr_mre00rCTUK1rj3uj2o1_500.gif
While capable as any witch or wizard in performing various spells and hexes, Adam is by far the most proficient in the field of charms. Due to his natural tendency to enunciate and perform precise, dexterous movements, charms come natural to him and he enjoys the subject immensely. Agrippina and Ignatius are Adam’s favourite professors, and he often stays behind to discuss the intricacies of certain spells they reviewed each class.

One particular subject that Adam has shown considerable interest in as well is wandlore. Unfortunately, there aren’t any elective choices that he is able to take that covers the subject, so he is slowly taking the time to do as much research as he can on it. His current plans once he finishes school is to either pursue his work in charms or become an assistant at Ollivanders, with the goal to start up his own wand making business.

Adam, although certainly capable on a broomstick, has no real love for sports, which is why he hasn’t tried out on the Ravenclaw quidditch team white at Hogwarts. While he still goes to the matches to support his House and spend time with his friends, Adam wouldn’t enjoy going to the World Cup for any other reason than to hang out with his friends. His second least favourite subject is Herbology, as he abhors dealing with plants and dirt in general, not to mention magical - and potentially life-threatening - ones.

Transfiguration is the second subject that Adam shows the most aptitude towards. While interested changing the appearance of objects at a whim, he much more enjoys the flamboyance and elaborate spells he is capable of doing in charms. Adam has entertained the idea of becoming an Animagus, but could never decide what animal he’d like to be and was daunted by the difficulty of the process.

Background

Adam was born into a pureblood family, living in a quiet community just outside London. He is familiar with both Muggle and Magical family customs, as his mother and father made sure he was well-versed in both as Adam grew up.

His parents both work at St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries; his father is a healer, and his mother is a nurse. Because of this, the Chadwicks are quite well off and provided Adam with the best supplies he needed for school. Mr. Chadwick works on the fourth floor of St. Mungo’s, the Spell Damage ward.

Adam lived a relatively normal life, and didn’t start showing any magical abilities until he was 9. For a long time, his parents thought he wouldn’t become a wizard, not until one day when he sneezed and blue sparks shot out from his mouth. Overjoyed, they celebrated that night and sure enough, a letter for Hogwarts came a few months later.

Most Professors at Hogwarts would call Adam a model student. He’s had very high grades in most subjects ever since he began school, with very few incidents. There was one occasion where he took on a Slytherin and a Gryffindor student to defend a girl they were bullying, but ended up in the Hospital Wing for his efforts.

To this day, Adam is known mostly for his studious nature and exceptional work with Charms. One of his primary skills is that he is able to learn new things much faster than many other students. He is also unfortunately well known for not being able to get into a serious relationship. This has lead to some curious whispers; some say he’s gay, but most think he was cursed on his first date a few years back and just can’t get a girl since. To this day Adam vehemently denies either, but avoids talking about it nonetheless.

With the small amount of wandlore that he’s studied, Adam has attempted making a few wands with the materials he can salvage or afford. While he’s usually unable to acquire any of Ollivander’s three best wand cores (unicorn hair, dragon heartstring, and phoenix feather), he’s experimenting with other magical cores to test their effectiveness. So far Adam’s been very careful and has avoided blowing up the Ravenclaw common room, though most students don’t like being around when he’s creating or testing the instruments. Before he goes to bed in the evenings, Adam often takes a knife and wittles one of the many dowels of various wood types to create the wand casings. He personally prefers elegance over raw power or practicality, and takes extra care and effort to carve ornate designs and patterns into the wands. He has a box next to his bed, full of discarded and finished wands of various sorts.

Personal Belongings
completed-lb-274q.jpg
Like most students that attend Hogwarts, Adam purchased his wand in his first year from Garrick Ollivander. It is made of elm, a wood known for choosing wizards with exceptional magical dexterity. The core of the semi-stiff 11 ¾ inch instrument is a dragon heartstring, which combined with the elm makes Adam the ability to cast very powerful and elegant spells. Despite the tendency for dragon heartstring cores to make accidents, this is countered by the elm and results in relatively few mishaps. Adam’s wand follows the traits of a normal elm, in that it’s sophisticated and is capable of highly advanced magic.

Cyra is the name of Adam’s faithful Barn Owl. Although his mother and father already own an owl, Pierce, he is older and used mostly for their work at St. Mungo’s Hospital. Their family used Pierce primarily as Adam was growing up, but after his first year at Hogwarts Adam’s parents decided to award his excellent grades with his own choice of owl. He spent quite a while in consideration at Eeylops Owl Emporium, learning about the pros and cons of each species of bird available. Finally, he chose the Barn Owl and bought Cyra, who was just a fledgeling at the time.

Since then, she has grown into a beautiful and intelligent bird that has yet to fail him once in delivering a post. Although a loving and usually docile animal, Cyra has been known to be very protective of Adam and becomes alarmingly jealous when she feels or sees him becoming attached to someone, specifically a girl. This often results in mean nipping, a strangely sassy or aloof attitude, and other behaviours that make it quite clear Cyra is displeased with Adam.

Despite this, the two still love each other very much. The duo routinely celebrate each other’s birthdays and Christmas by getting special treats and other gifts; something a bit unusual for people to do with their pets. Cyra is also quite a vocal and expressive owl, hooting her disapproval or rubbing affectionately up against Adam (whichever mood she’s in at the time) during meal times when the mail is delivered.

Due to the heavy amount of supplies Adam buys for his wand making hobby, he gets packages of magical components or small shipments of wood types almost daily. Cyra is seen so often, sometimes more than once a day, that she’s very well-known amongst the students and staff of Hogwarts. Occasionally, she’ll stop by at other tables to receive small samples of food or other treats that friends offer her. Some might think that Adam overworks her, but the truth is that Cyra gets bored very quickly and enjoys running errands for her owner.

The Chadwick Heirloom

A most peculiar pocket watch by the name of Astralaria has been passed down the Chadwick family line for many generations, farther back than any of them really knows. Traditionally, it is given to the firstborn when they begin their fifth year at Hogwarts, and the relic usually garners plenty of attention from all who see it. While believed to be of Goblin make, neither Adam’s parents nor his grandparents bothered to have it examined officially by one for fear that the greedy race would claim it as their own.

The embroidered pocket watch, made of a matte gold, features a small globe on the casing that, much like the ceiling of Hogwarts, displays the sky and weather outside. Many a night, Adam has laid awake in bed, watching the stars from his little pocket watch. Another curious effect is that if one tilts the glass on the cover, it acts as though they’re looking through a window and can see more of the sky. The back of the heirloom is flat, the only noticeable difference being the word Astralaria engraved in the middle.

Though Adam has yet to discover it, there are more magical properties to the watch than the cosmic phenomenon on the cover. It is enchanted in such a way that if one were to clasp the watch in their hand, either time slows or the one holding it speeds up. Regardless of the actual inner workings of the spell, the user finds that they suddenly have more time to cast that spell or make a split-second decision with their enhanced reflexes.

0nC4zKy.png

Height: 5'6"
Weight: 124 lbs.
Build: generally slim

Personality: Erin is shy, soft spoken and somewhat reserved.. that is when she isn't going off on someone or hating people silently. She's fragile emotionally but naive for too much than she'll admit. She's incredibly protective and can want to get into fights if you hurt her or someone she cares about. She'll yell at you all day if need be, but she tries to keep that hidden from everyone. She prefers to be seen as that shy person taking nine classes that cares a lot about magical creatures.

Her abuse filled past gives her major anxiety, and she can't handle people yelling at her the large majority of the time. If she were to be attacked verbally she will quickly just breakdown. She hates disappointing people. Her personality even confuses her at times, quick to start a conflict when she feels it's needed but also quick to retreat if things get too intense. She deals with a near daily dose of anxiety and depression, and needs to be dragged out to do anything outside of her studies or choir.

She has major empathy for anyone feeling sad or depressed, and will try to help in any way she can regardless of her current mood. She lacks any proper form of self care and worries about people close to her more than she does herself.

Bio: Looking for a fucked up past? Looks like you stumbled on the right girl. Erin grew up a bastard daughter of an upper class englishman and a witch. Things started out well enough, her mother leaving her and her father shortly before her third birthday. There was no reason given as to why, it just happened. Now her father didn't take this well, and his aggressive tendencies slipped out when he began to drink regularly.

Erin was born August 31st, 1898 when her parents were ever so excited to have her. She was born early afternoon in their home. She grew up nearly alone and isolated, her father manipulating her in a way that she would want to focus on other things than playing with friends. When she was around eight her mother had came back for her, this time taking her into the wizarding world. That was her plan all along, however cold it would seem. She didn't have much skill raising toddlers and she wouldn't start then. While Victoria wasn't abusive, she was very strict with how she let Erin live. Really it was better than being hit and yelled at, so she didn't mind all that much. When she was 11 she was accepted to Hogwarts and sorted into house Hufflepuff after a thirty second debate between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Her first few years were somewhat difficult, being that she was completely new to the whole magic thing, though she would to very well in academics. This trait was carried with her through her entire career so far.

She joined Choir as a way to distract herself from her isolation and general loneliness since she wouldn't have many friends, and ended up liking it so much she stuck with it. Singing was fun, just to be apart of something was fun. She was the shy girl in the back of the room in most of her classes but in that choir room she felt like she didn't need to be mute anymore, that she would express herself through singing and music. It felt great.

Her OWLs weren't the best, though she passed all of them decent enough when the time came. She very much liked being alone to study, but also liked to have company when she would feel too alone or isolated. This resulted in her getting a pet bat to have some degree of another living thing being there for her. She would have some relationships.. though being that she was attracted to people regardless of gender it made things hard. Same sex relations weren't very.. optimal, so she kept that part a secret. She would date a few guys, but with her being so used to not interacting with people or just having people genuinely care about her they never stuck around too long.

She's got notoriety for helping people with their studies from time to time when she isn't busy, but she doesn't do it often due to her assuming people would rather just not talk to the weird girl fawning over a bat in the back of the class. She likes to help people though, and though she can't duel very well she can still offer aid in other things like magical creatures, apparition, etc.

Character Flaws:
When put on the spot she can feel pressured and have anxiety, thus underperforming in the task. She cannot duel effectively and she is quick to breakdown or shutdown from stress or other emotional issues. She has a low self esteem, resulting in her not taking criticism too well. Also she sees herself as weak, as nothing unless she's being used by someone and helping them achieve what they struggle to. She has no sense of true sense of self and has a major dependence on others.

[fancybox2]PERSONALITY/HISTORY/WHATEVER YOU WANT[/fancybox2]
Brodie is a reclusive kid who mainly just keeps to himself as he is often either shunned or attacked for his view on magic, as he doesn't enjoy it as much as other kids. It simply caused his naturally muggle family to freak out and hate him because of his magic. The unstable family often leads to him hating magic in turn, despite his finesse in it. He has a love hate relationship with magic that he flicks between in stages. He is good with magic, ahead of everyone is his charms classes by miles, yet he doesn't like it.

However his thirst for knowledge is unquenchable and he will often be found reading quietly at the side of the courtyard or anywhere else in Hogwarts to be honest. He has a thrill for excitement however when he stays up late at night, either in the restricted section or anywhere to be honest. He loves the adrenaline that pumps through his veins when he breaks that rule. All in the search for knowledge! Makes you wonder why he is a slytherin.

He is an emotional glass box when it comes to emotions as he can't conceal them for a moment though he desperately tries to hide it. This often in his early years getting bullied as he often lost his cool or has been devolved into a crying mess. This often means that he isn't the most fore coming with friendships as he feels that he can't keep his emotions in check. He rarely talks to people in his house as he is constantly bullied for being a mudblood and is often deemed "not worthy enough" for the title as part of the Slytherin house

Brodie was raised in what the public thought was a normal family for the first few years of his life. Born to a muggle family as the youngest of 5 children, Brodie was often disregarded and left on his own to discover the world, which led to a lot of visits to A&E as a kid. This in turn did raise some suspicion on how the child seemed to be almost living in the accident and emergency ward and that in turn did raise some eyebrows. The main incident that caused Brodie to be taken off of his parents was when he was was 7 years old. His parents had been arguing and Brodie being an annoying seven year old asked what the problem was. Which in turn, made his mum turn so quickly to strike the child. She was so angry she forgot the knife she had in her hand as it struck against the child's face, which he promptly rushed to get stitches. [/FANCYBOX2]
[FANCYBOX2]

So he was taken off his parents and thrust into the new environment of a foster home which in turn made him not have the same social skills as everyone else. He went to a muggle school for the first few years of his life and his teachers liked him apart from the fact the child had no social skills at all. He could barely call his name on the register. He started to display his first hints of magic when he got angry and promptly made a table fly across the room. He received his letter to Hogwarts's shortly afterwards. The foster home were happy to have the child taken off their hands so he packed his bags and left to Hogwarts!

He is fairly cheap and didn't go all out school materials and supplies due to his limited amounts of cash. He simply has enough for his books and school supplies and has received a grant to pay for his school supplies. While Brodie may be a rule breaker at night, he is a good student during the day and often receives A's for all of his subjects. [/FANCYBOX2][FANCYBOX2][/fancybox2]

[FANCYBOX2]
MAGICAL EXPERTISE[/FANCYBOX2]
200_s.gif
Brodie's expertise lies in charms and hexes and he loves the subject to pieces. He often pulls straight A's and bests the majority of the class in the subject due to his dedication of learning and enhancing his knowledge. He often goes at the end of classes to speak to his teachers to learn more about it and to receive extra tuition.

His second area of expertise is in the care of Magical Beasts as he enjoys the freedom of it and to discover what lies beyond the muggle world in terms of creatures and such. He mainly enjoys it for the freedom it brings but he loves it as he was clueless before he joined. .

[FANCYBOX2]
WAND[/FANCYBOX2]
420382.jpg
  • Holly is one of the rarer kinds of wand woods; traditionally considered protective, it works most happily for those who may need help overcoming a tendency to anger and impetuosity. At the same time, holly wands often choose owners who are engaged in some dangerous and often spiritual quest. Holly is one of those woods that varies most dramatically in performance depending on the wand core, and it is a notoriously difficult wood to team with phoenix feather, as the wood's volatility conflicts strangely with the phoenix's detachment. In the unusual event of such a pairing finding its ideal match, however, nothing and nobody should stand in their way.
  • Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard. Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may 'die' and need replacing.

Personality

Who is Oliver? Well, to many of his House mates, a person with a very calm demeanor. Quiet, but unafraid to speak up when spoken to. A little rough with his words, a little callous, but he grew up in Liverpool right? It's not that hard to see someone born in that dirty city coming off with a little jagged edges. Most professors find him likeable, attentive when necessary and a little loud with his group of friends then again most seven years can be; 'tis their last year, who wouldn't feel a little lax?

Let's assume that behind this mask of an average student, that all of this was a faccade, Oliver was one hell of a daredevil. Him?! Such a nice boy, what a preposterous thing to say of him! The audacity! Yet, you look around at night time around the Great Hall and there he is, lounging about with girls and less-than-respectable Slytherins. Strange too, that Horace has had to order a good bit more of his potion supplies, surely the school's stock couldn't run out that quickly? But then again, it is a school with hundreds of Britian's finest young minds- and Oliver, of course, just a little bit of an average kid.

Yes, alright let's also assume that's not true. That he doesn't spend his weekends to Hogsmeade, cozy with a bunch of blokes from Gryiffindor and Ravenclaw, huddled in one corner in the Three Broomsticks with quills and pieces of parchment. Homework right? But why at Hogsmeade, rather than the Common Room? Ah, but this is purely bull-talk yes? Nothing to really. . pin down on this unassuming character. He's friendly when he needs to be, shy when it's appropriate and just a good tad bit of cheekiness that people find endearing.

Oh yes, and he's also probably running a bit of an illegal business here, but who am I to say?[/fancybox4]

[fancybox4="http://gifyu.com/images/magicb41e5.gif"]
Oliver's ride through Hogswart may be . . .uneventful at best, but in the times he shines, he shines best in utilitarian magic; showing an aptitude for Transfiguration, he is also a rising star among the brewers of potions as Horace will proudly boast, with a little bit too wide of a smile. Then again, that's Horace for you, eh? Always out for himself, but a genius, astounding really! Of course, he's always performed up to par with his other subjects. Good scores with Defenses Against Dark Arts, that's good especially in these troublesome times, can't always be too safe, eh?

Interestingly enough, at one point Oliver had dabbled with Arithmancy and Divination but quickly dropped both subjects in favor of Magical Creatures. Perhaps the cramped confinements and guesswork never suited the man, and who would say otherwise? Stuck atop that tower, always stuffy and full of tea: no one can blame him, really.

Really, most of his good grades come from topics requiring a 'hands on' approach: Abysmal marks on History of Magic and Ancient Runes, but considering the pass rates for those two subjects? At least he makes up for it by being handy with the plants in Herbology; not a green thumb, goodness no! But at least he won't kill anybody trying to change Mandrake pots and such.

Sports? Well, won't you believe it, he's a natural with a Bat- if he tried hard enough could even go professional. Maybe. Swings fast, hits hard and flies pretty well. Doesn't take the game too seriously and is a pretty good loser, you know? Good characteristics for a good player. When he does win, it's with a smile and a handshake, none of those riff-raff like the Gryffindors and Slytherins, what have you's. It's also a wonderful attitude to have for a House Captain! They're not the best, mind but whenever the Hufflepuffs fly its with a smile on their face and a trick up their sleeves.

[fancybox2]Mr. Oliver Wickerbough. . .Wickerbough. . ah yes, here it is. Good grades, good manners and all around just a pretty decent bloke here. No troubles, though his family history is very interesting. Mixed blood, but comes from his father's side. Usually it's the mother, you know? Mr. Alden Cragh, a very. . distinguished? Well, they're well known for their unfortunate past. Their ancestor, I believe Oliver's great-great-grandfather, Mr Wallensby, I think in a fit of madness lost the entire family's gold and got into some bad troubles with Gringotts. The whole family's in debt now, and yet a single galleon to their name.

I think it's rather fortunate that Alden married his mother, a certain Mrs Marie Wickerbough. Yes, the husband took after the wife's name but it's all for the better. It's not always one marries rich, yes? Marie's father runs the local fishing industries by the docks and ah. . cans them? I think that's what the muggles call it. They put them in these tiny little metal cylinders and sell them for a pittance. Heavens, what the muggles are up to these days.

But anyway! Oliver was born, not necessarily out of love, mind you. I think his parent's marriage is a little strained with the knowledge that Marie married a wizard who, despite what the muggles may think, isn't lined with gold, nor can transmute gold at their will. I mean, there's leprechauns but that's not the gold she'd want. Oliver's family is destitute in the Wizarding World, yet filthy rich in the muggle world. Fascinating, but a little bit of a tragic story.

He's the only child and grew up studying in a local boys school before one of our letters got to him. Mr Alden was more than happy to send him off to Hogwarts, he's an alumni from here after all but ah. . the mother, she never did trust our kind. Took a lot of convincing before she allowed him to study here- under scholarship of course since the poor lad hasn't got a single galleon for wizarding necessities. So began his journey into the wizarding world and for someone used to life in riches, his first few years acclimatizing to the fact that here, he was dirt poor was rough. But Mr Oliver was lucky, extremely fortuitous to have been put into Hufflepuff.

You see, had he been in Gryffindor he would have had camaraderie and a lot of boys his age volunteering to take him in, help him with his financial difficulties. I'm not sure being in Ravenclaw would help either, and heaven forbid if he was a Slytherin. No, I don't think Mr Oliver wanted his friends to help him with his family's situation. What he needed was a shoulder and someone to talk to, support him and encourage him. That's what he needed all along. And as anyone knows, no where else better than the Hufflepuffs when you need people around to help.

It's interesting now then, for you to have come up here with these allegations that after all these years, he's been involved in some elaborate scheme, what have you, stealing magical supplies under one of our proffessor's nose and brewing potions and selling them to junior students! Yes, I did listen to what you have had to say, but really now there's not a single shred of evidence from you other than your words and a lot of guesswork. Oliver's not the kind to be involved in this kind of thing, not even if it meant helping his family out. I'll not hear it.

My advice, Miss, is that you try and reevaluate your argument and observe him more closely. You'll see, I'm right. Oliver Wickerbough's a good lad, and these allegations wouldn't have been nothing more than your own fancy. Off you go."[/fancybox2]

A trip to Olivanders was almost like a trip to a sweet shop for the young Oliver, though what excited him the most was the process of finding his one true wand. In the end, Oliver found the greatest match with an apple wood wand, unicorn at its core at a good length of twelve inches. Supple to the touch and just a little bendy, it is interesting to note such combination is famous for users generally loved by all and while not capable of producing the most spectacular of shows, are least to random surges of power. Reliable and extremely faithful to its owner, and as Olivander will have you know, has chosen its owner well. [/fancybox4]

Alden Thomas

FULL NAME: Alden Alatar Thomas
AGE: 17
HEIGHT: 5'8"
Blood Status: Pure-blood

HOME TOWN:
London, England

ENROLLMENT STATUS: Sixth year. Prefect.

SCHOOL HOUSE: Slytherin

CLUBS: Duelling

WAND:
Twelve and a half inches in length and consists of surprisingly swishy Sycamore wood with a dragon heartstring core.

STRENGTHS: Quidditch, (wordless) Charms and transfiguration.

WEAKNESSES: Anti-social, no interest in magical understanding or muggles. Unremarkable.

PATRONUS:
Conjurable; Unformed.

APPARITION LICENCE: He's eager for the course on apparition to start at Hogwarts this year.

"Last year, Alden unbroomed three Hufflepuffs in a single game. Not good enough to become a pro, though, despite his dad attempting to bribe the Chudley Cannons into signing him."

Like most magical beings Alden is best described by his wand, which is twelve and a half inches in length and consists of surprisingly swishy Sycamore wood with a dragon heartstring core.

The Sycamore tells us that Alden is adventurous in his magic and eager to learn new and more outrageous spells. The wand, if his magic were to become too mundane, would burst from boredom never to be used again. Such is the nature of Alden as well as he rarely takes the time to sit down to read or write something Muggle Studies or a-History of Magic, yet can be found for ours doing charms or transfiguration homework. Charms is a subject he naturally excells in, as it provides enough room for his own creative input and the curious thrill of inventing a charm that can be used in duelling.

Signified by the dragon heartstring core, Alden is a quick learner, capable of amazing magic, yet temperamental and somewhat easier to seduce to the Dark Arts. The latter being instigated by his own curiosity that in an attempt not to be stalled by regulations and the time necessary for higher levels of magic, sometimes becomes a bit dark in nature.

Proficient he might be in Charms, earning a quite admirable O, he was hardly unique or in fact noticable by this achievement. While he's ambitious, he's not a great student, nor a real purist that looks down on half-bloods and muggle born, neither of which quite justifies him being known outside of his own House, yet being part of the Quidditch team and having a father who serves as England's representative on the Internatiol Council of Warlocks, certainly does.

Quite the skilled beater in the Slytherin team that rarely loses a game, Alden usually gets some cheers and preferental treatment from the other Slytherins after their first few wins. His seeming indifference to the praise, however, causes for this kind of treatment to decline over the course of the year.

This year he seems more distracted than usual, suggesting that he, perhaps, is up to something as he often wanders the hallways trying to dodge the other prefects, Slytherin included. Despite Potions never having succeeded in claiming his interest, and only having followed classes due the recommendation from the teacher if he wanted to become an auror and move more quickly into his father's footsteps, this year he's suddenly seen reading from its course material in his free time periods. Coincidently, rumors say that the potions teacher's supply cabinet got broken into at the start of year, but no culprit has been found.

Backstory: Born in Cairo during the British occupation of the city, Iskandrea was born to one of the few families of wizards whose origins were from the old line of priests, from the countries founding. Egypt was a land of secrets and lost lore, exchanging hands many of times and thought by many scholars to be the origin of human magic, or if not, the earliest practitioners in recorded history. Her family was one of a few handful who kept the flame of magic burning in Egypt, through its rough patches of conquest, reconquest, and close purges of magic users from the more religiously prevalent. Iskandrea was raised on tales of this legacy, and taught that while some of the families ranged from old Roman oracles and philosophers to Turkish alchemists, none were quite like the old priests of egypt. She and her brother were one of the first children allowed to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizard, the owl coming via a messenger hawk instead to make it less conspicuous.

Her mother Azhara and her father Sayid were hesitant at first to allow her and her older brother Aydamir to go, preferring they attend Uagadou School of Magic, as their forefathers had done in the past. However, after representatives of the ministry visited their home, and made them a persuasive offer, the two were begrudgingly allowed to attend the British school of magic, as were many others of the current protectorate. She bought supplies needed from the local area, a small cat named shadow and a wand from Al-Kadaki's, she was ready to face this new phase in her life and learn about the world outside of her desert world. The british isles were cold to her, both physically and emotionally, and she found herself an outside among the people attending the school. Her brother was 6 years older, and by the time she was a second year he was already graduating, having been in Griffyndor and evidently earning a reputation as something of a bad apple, though a good duelist and quiditch player.

Her years attending were spent a lot in the common room, studying and finding a passion for magic history and muggle studies. Her family, while magical, lived intermixed with muggles, and the fact that the wizarding world and muggle world were separated so completely was amazing to her. Cairo had its secrets as well, the underground city for wizards, but often it was encouraged for people in egypt to explore the muggle world as well as the magic world, and not to live too separated from the mix, even if relationships were not encouraged. Perhaps it was the higher then usual amount of squibs, or perhaps it was simply a different culture, but community was a much stronger tie then blood when it came to normal day to day living. Iskandera, whose nickname became Kendra over time, took to studying up on muggle technology as a fascinating hobby, and was impressed with how inventive and determined the muggles were when it came to getting the world to bend to their will. The wonders of egypt were built with magic and labor in equal parts, so to her it made sense to learn both ways of doing things.

A bit bookish, and rather reserved due to her accent and unusual appearance, Iskandrea showed off her passion when in a battle of wits rather then in things such as sports, or even in things like tests, not feeling very competitive by nature. Rather passive for a ravenclaw when it came to academics alone, she earned a reputation as a quiet, mellow, individual who was as quick as a bolt of lightning to jump into action should something get her attention and peak her ire. She is one of the best duelists in ravenclaw, finding the application a simple formula of analyzing an opponents spells, and selecting the best one or combination of ones in order to defeat them, embodying the image of a warrior scholar well, though appearing a bit bored when doing so. She likes it as a hobby, and a good way to relieve stress, but doesn't hold much interest in it beyond that.

Her true passion, lie in the 4 subjects she loves the most; Muggle Studies, Ancient Studies, Ancient Runes, and Arithmancy, with an additional skill in charms, herbology, and the history of magic. With the other subjects falling into a pretty average category. It is here where Iskandera comes to life, passionate, loud voiced, and head held high, as she speaks about the wonders of history and the ancient world, and how it still affects the world today. It has taken time, but Iskandera has found what she wants to be most of all with her talents; a seeker of knowledge, and a giver of wisdom. She longs to dive into lost ruins, uncover ancient artifacts and secrets, and share them with the world to bring about prosperity. A curse-breaker, an archeologist, an explorer, and an adventurer, all these things and more, and she likely even now, has some sort of plan on how to get there.

Chris wasn't born into a well financially endowed family in fact he wasn't born into one at all, to the contrary his early child hood was quit rough, being given up shortly after birth and forced to live and grow up in a boys home for several years. His home was never quit....well a home as a matter of fact, for the other boys tended to pick on him countless times aday. Sometimes resulting in him either crying or being in actual physical pain from being beaten up and made fun of. Growing up in more of a hostile surrounding, he grew a fear and an uncomfortable hatred no rather dislike for other people and preferred to be a recluse than not.

Upon reaching the age of 5 he began to develop a mysterious gift. One that wasn't known to the other boys. One that which actually tended to make things worse for him seeing as they felt he was now a FREAK. The pain came tenfold for him as he felt more and more out of place in his so called home. By the time he was 7 he knew he was rather special and it was more than a gift but simply Magic, REAL magic.

Seeing as he was neglected by the other boys, Chris began to live a more reclusive life. When his powers grew more potent he was suddenly adopted by an elderly man he soon came to call Mr. Winkle rather than dad or father. Seeing his recently unlovable past he would remain in his room with a locked door and read countless books Mr. Winkle had that dealt with the history of magic and its dealings both ancient and current.

Instead of going and playing with other boys and neighboring girls, he would remain secluded away in fear of them too picking on him. For a long time, Mr. Winkle thought he was never going to come out but to his surprise when Chris got his acceptance letter from Hogwarts on his birthday, he began to roam around the house more openly. But by this time he had already pushed the other neighboring kids away and once again they claimed him for a freak, seeing as he was always hiding in his room either reading or even watching them play from his window in the past.

Mr. Winkle tried his hardest to bestow more sense of trust on others, but still had the ultimate result of failing. But none the less in due time Chris opened up to his new older guardian and an unshakable friendship began to unfold. Chris began to finally feel like he had a home to live and grow in.

His 4 years prior to Hogwarts, Mr. Winkle introduced him to numerous counter-spells. Seeing as it was against the rules for underaged magic and Mr. Winkle himself was infact a wizard, the ministry of magic could see when magic was used but not by whom. So mr. Winkle would lay claim to the use of magic and seeing as their town was only populated by a few other souls the ministry of magic could not really do much to stop him seeing as there was little to no possibility to interactions between the muggles and the accused.

Chris grew an affinity to knowledge in magic, to the point he himself strove to learn all he could about it to one day create his own spells to better the wizarding world as a whole.

Upon arrival to Hogwarts the professors already knew what the boy was going to be like. Regardless of his skills and abilities already with using magical spells he always managed to get barely passing grades. After his second year he had already been to detention numerous times from causing some sort of damage to the school from his experiments in and with various spells. Some would say he saw more detention than other other students and even almost been expelled more times than one could count on a single hand.

By his fourth year it would be seen he had a desire for obtaining and retaining knowledge of the magical realm and its practicality of use, And a far to curious side to learn about the so called Dark arts. The eyes of others seemed to always be watching him, as though they expected him to do something wrong....again even without proof. Alot of people never knew why he was the way he was but his scars could not be truly seen on the outside, seeing as they were more mental and emotional ones at that.

Even to this day Chris sits in fear of being picked on by others, and results to his old reclusive ways. Other than being known for his emotional side he's also seen for his constant studying and his magical spell casting abilities. He does bare a much more knowledge than most when it comes to spell casting simply for the fact he excels in various classes to include The History of magic, Ancient Studies, Magical theory and even Defense Against the Dark Arts. He may not be the top student in his class when it comes to grades over all but he is one of the top spell casters of his peers.

Whispers of rumors tend to spread across the school drastically fast, and he's looked on by his peers as more of a lonely-loony wizard who lacks the people skills to make true friends and not ones who just use him for tests. With the decent amount of spells that he’s learned, studied and semi-perfected, Chris has attempted creating a few spells of his own, some have worked and well....some have failed and majorly backfired. In the past Chris secretly had been experimenting with other magical arts, to include the dark arts which had taken a toll on his body, mind, and spirit. Resulting in his negative emotions to profoundly erupt out of him randomly. Every evening Chris can be found reading deep into the use of Ancient magic, in a personal attempt to "perfect" the art of casting to one day create and even change the history and art of magic.

Biography

[beebox3=96%]Early Life — Felix Jasper Edmunds was born on 19 March 1897. He was born the illegitimate son of a railroad worker and a woman the man had a short fling with. Born into an age where premarital relations were particularly scorned, Felix's parents were forced to uproot and change their lives entirely, simply to escape the life they would have been forced to endure — one of ostracism and derision. The birth of Felix, as well as the forced change of home, drug down his father into bitterness and resentment for the effect Felix had on his life, and he basically ignored him in every way possible, only electing to provide him with food and shelter. His care for Felix's mother was all that truly kept him there, as he had developed legitimate loving feelings for her since their forced cohabitation. Felix always longed for the connection with his father, particularly after his mother died when he was just four years old, but saw at a young age that he would be unable to have that relationship he craved. Felix's father was away for work almost constantly after his mother died. He would come home once a month, sometimes once every two, and otherwise would simply send money for Felix to live on. He made decent money in his work, and Felix reaped the benefits of this. He hired nannies to care for him and educate him in simple things when his mother had progressed in her illness. For a time, Felix enjoyed the company, and enjoyed having someone extra to play with, especially when his mother wasn't feeling up to it. However, when she died, Felix loathed the company, and wanted nothing but his mother back. Nannies lasted a short time only. They were discouraged by the repeated happenings that drove them off, such as when they would try to force Felix into his Sunday best, and the clothes would simply turn into dresses. As a male child could not wear dresses to church, this was quite effective. Other times, Felix would be outside playing, and his nanny would tell him to come inside because it was dark, at which time the darkness would promptly vanish, and it would be bright as day in the backyard of the house. This, as well as many more instances like it, drove nannies from the home with horrified complaints to Felix's father, which he believed were all silly and unfounded. By the age of eleven, Felix had gone through twenty eight nannies, and was all set to go through the twenty ninth before his life changed forever.

Receiving the Letter and Enrollment at Ilvermorny — Felix received his letter invitation to Ilvermorny at 12:00 a.m. EST on 19 March 1908. Felix had been waiting till that exact moment so that he could be awake on his eleventh birthday, as he had been on every other birthday he could remember. He had made himself a small cake earlier in the day, and covered it in his best version of frosting, which was just sugar and butter. He waited until 12:00 a.m. to take a bite of his cake, wishing for a nanny that would actually stay and be his friend, as he did every year. The new nanny was supposed to be arriving in the morning, and he was already anticipating the one after that. Just as he was biting into his cake, he heard a knock at the door, and dropped his slice of cake onto the floor, feeling tremendously sad for the loss. He went to the door to find a young woman, perhaps around the age of late twenties or early thirties, was standing with a most peculiar outfit. She was dressed in cranberry and blue robes, adorned with some sort of decorative crest on the breast, and a neat white blouse with a straight black pencil skirt. All in all, she looked like a proper woman who happened to be wearing a very improper robe. Felix naturally assumed that she was his new nanny, and immediately jumped to his average routine, greeting her, introducing himself, and showing her her quarters. He was most puzzled when she simply followed him around wordlessly, before plopping herself down on one of the chairs in the den. Felix inquired what was the matter, and she simply waved the question with a dismissive response. She reached into her robes and withdrew a cranberry-colored envelope that matched her robes, and handed it to him. He took the offering with great curiosity and opened it to read the contents. What was written inside changed his life forever, and definitely for the better. Any and all disbelief he had concerning what it said was hopelessly dashed when the woman transfigured his bed into a cot and his pillow into a bundle of snakes. He believed her straight away.

A No-maj in a Wizard's World — Felix's transition to the wizarding world was a rocky one at best. Despite his begging, his new headmistress had not agreed to keep this all a secret from his father. He had hatched an elaborate plot to ensure that he wouldn't discover that Felix wasn't actually home, but she said it was necessary for him to be informed. Felix's father was home three days later for the first time in nearly three months, luckily enough, and he had a chance to meet the woman that would be taking his son off his hands, essentially. He was initially angered by the woman's appearance, but soon saw it as an opportunity to not have to hire any more nannies, and took the opportunity, no matter how ridiculous he found the idea of magic. He agreed to continue funding Felix for the enrollment and for his supplies, and would continue supplying him with sufficient funds until he graduated from this school. His father was just glad to have him out of sight and out of mind even more so than before. Felix was taken to Phips Lane to acquire all his magical gear. He was ecstatic to see everything, and was beyond glad that his father was not required to accompany them. He sent his money along and that was it. Theodosia Prichett, the headmistress who had given him his letter, accompanied him in his quest to get his materials. They went about acquiring all of the standard equipment, from spellbooks and robes, to a cauldron and potion supplies. He had insisted that they go to every single shop in the entire area, and she had obliged without question. When they had finished, Felix was still wondering where he would get a wand, as all the magic the headmistress had done was done with a wand. When Felix inquired as to where he would get a wand, as he didn't see a wand shop, Headmistress Prichett simply gave him a sheepish look before responding. She told him of how he would get a wand when he went to school, at least that was tradition. He apparently required a permit to carry one outside of school, and wands were to be left at the school over the summer, up until the age of 17 when they could get the permit. He didn't want to wait until he went to school in several months, but he understood, and he could wait. She surprised him when she said that they were going to get him a wand before he went to school. She pulled her wand from her robes and showed it to him. He inspected the ornate carvings and the smooth wooden feel, admiring it every step of the way, though not touching it, as she wouldn't let him. She told him that her wand had come from the greatest wand maker in all the world: Ollivander's. She told of how her parents were British, and had moved her just before she was born. They both had loved Ollivander's wands, and wanted her to continue the tradition. She had fallen in love with Ollivander's wands as well, and continued to supply any new students she got the opportunity to greet with them. She and Felix apparated to Diagon Alley, and went to Ollivander's shop. Prichett was greeted like an old friend, and she greeted Ollivander the same way. Felix left the shop that day with a brand new wand, though it had to go to Prichett until the term started.

The Beginnings of a Wizard — Felix boarded the train to Ilvermony from Grand Central Terminal in New York, and hopped in with the first group he saw. He hadn't gone to any school as a child, having tutors at home instead, and hadn't had any friends really. He was eager to meet new people, especially those of his age. He was a bit too rambunctious and excited for all of them though, and he didn't find any lasting friendships there. He made a poor choice in his guessing of who to sit with, and had stumbled upon a preconceived clique of students. When they got off the train to Ilvermorny, Felix couldn't believe his eyes at the majesty of the castle, as well as the sheer enormity. He was in awe of the building, and couldn't wait to spend the next seven years there. When time for the sorting ceremony came, and Felix stood upon the emblem in the center of the floor, he had no expectations and no ideas of where he might go. His raging curiosity filled him, pushing questions to his mind and overflowing. When the wampus statue roared, he knew he was selected, and he ran off to join the cheering house in the great hall. Felix became fast friends with a few others his age when he went to his dormitory, and the process of him realizing he didn't have to hide behind humor began, though it would take a year or two for him to realize that he had true friends. When classes began in the morning, Felix found himself woefully overloaded with information that he had no idea what to do with. He took notes of every word spoken by the teachers, and tried his very best to keep up, but he found himself extremely behind the practical applications. He was able to get through the material by studying, and found himself a sufficiently average student, and perhaps just the slightest smidge above average. When practical tests came, however, he was hardly able to muster sparks. In his first transfiguration test he was unable to make the toothpick they targeted turn into string. It remained distinctly wood-like, and he remained distinctly unimpressed with his magical ability. It took him months longer than others to get the spells down, and his frustration drove him to give up with his practicing. It took him until Christmas to going, but he hit the ground running and threw himself into his studies, bringing himself up to par by the end of year tests. He found his most favored subjects to be charms and transfiguration, and dedicated most of his time to those, though he gave plenty of work to the other subjects as well. When the transfiguration exams rolled around, his eyes shined with glee when he successfully completed all of the transfigurations with flying colors. He completed his first year with excitement for the year to come.

The Almost Expulsion and the Lessons Not Learned — Felix prospered at Ilvermorny for his next two years in the school, making the quidditch team in his third year as a chaser. He was not spectacular and new shining quidditch star, but he worked well with the team, and had lots of fun doing it. When his fourth year rolled around, he was intent on having as much fun and being as successful as he had been for the previous three years. When he and his friends settled in over the first few weeks, he started talking to them about a potion he had read about in this year's textbook — the animagus potion. He convinced three of his best friends to try to do it with him, and together they went about secretly creating an animagus potion, and becoming animagi. They were all set to finish the potion by Felix's birthday in March, but on the eve of the potions final day brewing, they were confronted by Headmistress Prichett, who apparently had been aware for the duration of their mission. They were all faced with the potential for expulsion, and the Headmistress strongly considered it. She had allowed them to continue their task in an attempt to see if they would be able to complete it. When she had realized that they were indeed about to succeed, she had decided that, though it was reckless, they had shown themselves capable, and that she would not expel them for impressive feats of skill. Naturally, all of them agreed to register, and took the potion. After the process was complete, Felix was a registered giant panda animagus. The students still got detention for the remainder of the semester, but they didn't truly learn any lesson from that, and Prichett hadn't really wanted them to. They were daring and genius in a way that she appreciated, and she didn't want to punish them for that.

O.W.L.'s and Wizarding Excellency at the Fingertips — Entering fifth year, Felix was ready to the O.W.L.'s. He had been looking forward to them for years, as he saw them as another milestone where he could prove his skill, both to himself and others. He strove all year to do as well as he could in his classes, and made sure he knew everything he needed to know for the exams that were to come. In this year he continued his quidditch endeavors, and decided to load a bit more onto his plate than he had in the past. In his previous years, he had joined the charms and transfiguration clubs, but this year he decided he wanted to join the dueling club. Defence against the dark arts had never been his favorite or his best subject. He wasn't bad at them, but he was not a natural talent, and had neglected that area somewhat in the past. This year he wanted to excel in everything he could. He joined the dueling club, putting that at the forefront of his focus as far as clubs went, and doing his best to advance in his defence skills. He was never top of the club, nor first nor second nor even close to that, but he gained much-needed experience, and continued to brush his skills for that year. He knew he was more than good enough to get an E in the practical defence against the dark arts exam. When he finished his O.W.L.'s, he found that his studying and hard work had paid off, as it always did. He had passed all of them with at least an A, and his favored subjects kept E or O across the board. His dreams of becoming a funded explorer were closer than ever before, and he could practically taste them coming true. Entering his sixth year, Felix was focused on his dream of becoming a funded explorer. He dropped none of his classes, believing it necessary to learn every area of magic that he possibly could in order to be given the right to explore the most ancient and incredible of magical artifacts and ruins. When he graduated that year, he made the decision to transfer to Hogwarts, as he wanted to both expand his horizons, and begin exploring a different culture than he was used to. He got it approved by the headmasters of both schools, and moved to Britain in the summer of his 17th year, already of age so that he could carry his wand outside school, not that such a rule was in place in Britain. He took the summer to explore and travel around the country, particularly wanting to learn more about the wizards there. He still laughs every time someone says 'muggle'.

Magical Britain is a Magical Place — Felix was ecstatic that he got his trip approved, and said farewell to his friends for the time, though he could simply apparate back whenever he really needed to. He took the summer to explore and travel around the country, particularly wanting to learn more about the wizards there. He still laughs every time someone says 'muggle'.
[/beebox3]

Personality

[beebox3=96%]Felix's personality has been built on his desire to prove himself, due to his heritage, as well as his upbringing as an underprivileged and underappreciated child. His father's job as a railroad worker kept him frequently away from home, though he didn't like Felix anyway, and his mother died of polio when he was young. Felix wanted nothing more than a father, especially after that, but his father had been even more cold to him ever since, and the distance he created a desperate need for attention and recognition. This is a part of what fuels Felix to prove himself so much. Discovering he was a wizard, and being one of the few no-maj born at the school was difficult for him. While the blood status prejudice at Ilvermorny was minimal, he felt a pressure given unto himself to prove himself to be just as good as anyone else simply because of his childhood. Upon finding himself to be no extraordinary magical talent, Felix strove to study and practice as hard as he possibly could. He also developed a very sarcastic and frivolous attitude in order to make friends. His constant jokes and laughter only started as a persona, used to make friends when he felt he otherwise couldn't, but he soon found that to be his true self. He remains a very sarcastic and bubbly person. He enjoys goofing off, pranking, and making people laugh. It gets him into some trouble sometimes, but he always gets out of it. Felix is a very kind person, at heart. He enjoys helping others, and finds great joy in simply giving service in any way he can. The feelings of rejection he felt as a child are something he wants nobody else to feel, and so he opens himself to be a friend to all who need one, and finds that many people give him that same courtesy in return. Because of his struggle to make his way in the magical school, and his struggle to find his niche in magic in general, he lacks the arrogance that many successful wizards harbor. He studied and worked hard for everything he has, though he also recognizes the benefit of pure talent. He simply didn't have it. Felix is also very adventurous. His past was filled with boring, dreary everyday life, and discovering an entire world of magic and possibilities was the best thing to ever happen to him. He holds a precious and childlike curiosity that will never die. Felix is a very open, changeable person. It isn't as if he is just flippy floppy on everything, but he is very open to listening to others, and his opinions can change if sufficient reasoning is supplied. Once he holds a belief, however, he has very strongly decided in it, and is unlikely to be swayed without very strong reasoning. Felix has a very weak filter. He isn't rude by any means, but he doesn't particularly like to stop talking, and he won't do it without good reason. He simply rambles on and on about everything, and that's how he likes it. It gets him into a lot of trouble sometimes, but he simply doesn't learn well. He wishes more than almost anything to help people, whether to cure them of disease, to help them with some service, or to simply help people be better people, and happier in their lives. Felix's greatest desire is to prove himself, and to leave his mark. He will go to nearly any means to accomplish this goal.[/beebox3]

Sara comes from a fairly quiet childhood, causing her to be rather reserved when talking with other people. She is usually found in her room reading a book, or practicing spells. She likes to make friends, but doesn't have many. People in her neighborhood usually stayed away from her because of the strange occurrences that follow in her and her father's wake. Causing her to cherish the friends that aren't afraid of her. She is not very trusting, thanks to an incident when she was 14. Overall, Sara is a very friendly person, but she will only show it once you've earned her trust.

Magical Aptitude
[/fancybox4]
Sara can cast fairly advanced spells when casting them verbally. However, most american wizards do not use words when casting. As a result, when she is in classes, she never really uses the incantations that are taught for the different spells. She was already advanced in spells when she came to Hogwarts as a fifth year.

Background

Danielle-LaSota-post-separator.png
Sara was born in London, but raised in Columbus, Ohio. Her mother was american, while her father was British. Her father was a wizard, her mother was a muggle. She had a fairly good life, her family was in the middle class, her mother worked as a seamstress for a more privileged family, and her father worked as a ambassador from the Ministry of Magic to the American magical congress.

Sara loved to play in the woods outside of her house, it was one of her favorite pass times. She would run through the trees, jumping over roots and laughing as her male friends tried to keep up. For her 12th birthday, she was given a wooden flute with ancient runes inscribed on it. At the time she had no idea what they meant, only that when she played it, animals would crowd around her. She soon learned to control the magic she now knew was inside the flute. Sadly, as her studies became more intense, she did not practice as much as she would have liked to. But she always keeps it in her bag for when she get's the chance.

Since Sara was born in London, but lived in America, her father set up an arrangement. She was to stay in America for the first four years of her magical education, learning in Hogwarts' sister school. Then, she would go to Hogwarts to finish her education. She excelled beyond compare in the american school, learning different skills spells. she only failed in two classes, Herbology and Divination. Those scores reflected themselves in her OWLs at Hogwarts in her fifth year.

She was afraid of going to the school it was a different culture in a different country. The wizards there were a lot different than what she was used to.

Upon entering Hogwarts, she was put with the First years and was sorted into Raven claw. She was then thrust into the strangest year of her life. She was given a skill assessment for each class, being put in the ones that she excelled at, and not the ones she received a poor score in. Most of the time, she stayed to herself, preferring to stick to her studies and get back home as soon as she could. But, that pretty much all changed in her "sixth" year. She still didn't trust easy, but she made a few friends, and more than enough acquaintances. There was another american there, but he seemed like he didn;t like people, so she didn't bother him. She was first greeted by a new prefect, Adam Chadwick, also a Ravenclaw, so the had that much in common.

Other than the occasional hello in the hallways, she didn't really talk to the house heads. She only made time to talk with the headmaster, mostly because he was friends with her father.

Wand and Pet
[/fancybox4]
Sara's wand is a 13.5 inch ebony with a small Phoenix carved into the bottom. Her wand contains a Phoenix core, strengthening her magic. She has had trouble with the wand before, but they came to an agreement and now there are rarely any problems.

She does not own a pet, if she want's the company of an animal she can just play her flute, or ask to play with one of her housemate's pet.

Height: 5'7"

Personality: She is strong, independent and her own woman. She hates that she's seen as weak because of her gender, and will go to great lengths to prove otherwise. She can be flirtatious, but really that's not her. She takes her studies very seriously, but also tries to have fun every once in awhile. She isn't a stranger to breaking a rule or two but she at least tries to act like a good girl. She's protective, and won't let people mess with her friends in any way. She prides herself in her dueling abilities and aptitude for magic, and can be a show-off at times.

She wants to be a strong witch to protect people, and herself. She has anxiety about people leaving her, and will do anything within her power to keep those close to her. She tries to not show weakness, but when a friendship seems like it's going to end she will pour all of her effort into fixing it. She'll step on as many throats as she needs to in order to not be alone. She is quick to fight, and is on a certain level sadistic, though she does attempt to remain tame. She loves to duel, and never holds back when in one.

Bio: The Belmont family was a decently high class wizarding family praised for their work with enchanted and magic based items and trinkets. They would produce great craftsmen for centuries, and their reputation as enchanters was extremely well known. This was something Morgan would be forced to live up to, since Andrew and Sara Belmont wouldn't be able to conceive any males. Even before hogwarts she was made familiar with magic charms and the theory and practice behind them.

Morgan Belmont was born July 1st, 1898. Her parents were less than excited to have given life to a daughter, when she would rather have a son to take on the company. She was born in the early morning hours of the day in her parents' bed. She grew up in a strict household, and learned about magic early on. While she would never be allowed to actually practice it until the age of 11 when she began schooling at hogwarts, she was taught the basic mechanics behind magical charms and things of the like.

When she started going to hogwarts, she joined both the magical charms club and dueling club in addition to doing quidditch tryouts. She was finally free from her parents for a few months at least, she wanted to use that to her advantage and do what she wanted rather than what they wanted. She would still study charms and enchantments, but only to give the appearance of doing what they wanted her to do. Early on a friend she had made would be Catherine Rémond, a slytherin student doing many of the same things she was. They grew to be a slight role model to Morgan.

Dueling was a great passion for Morgan during her years at Hogwarts, and she would often fail to show pity or remorse for those she was facing. This would lead to a near expulsion during her fifth year at the school, nearly killing a dueling partner during a session. From this event she gained the name, "Mazikeen", which would be a type of demon. Rather then rejecting the newly given nickname, she decided to keep it. It was fun.

Her OWLs were majority high, as they were expected to be by both her and others. She would try matching Catherine in scores, though being her own person with her own strengths and weaknesses it didn't end up that way.

She would lose a few friends from time to time, with some of them being turned off by this one aspect of Morgan. She was demisexual, not that she really knew what to call it, and impulsive when it came to her feelings at first. She kept finding herself falling for people that got close to her and she didn't know why. She didn't care about gender it was all about how close they were.

She would date one or two people, but they would leave her soon after becoming her significant other because of her not fitting the "normal girl" mold they wanted to put her in like they would have with their other girlfriends. This frightened Morgan to a degree, and she wasn't sure as to the reasoning behind it. She grew to stay away from confessing her feelings to anyone out of fear of rejection or a ruined friendship.

She would eventually start feeling things toward Catherine in the later half of her fifth year at school, being that they would be in close proximity most of the time when it came to clubs, sports and dorm space. This would be a closely held secret, since she didn't feel like scaring off one of her more constant friends by a sudden confession of unholy love.

Belmont Heirloom:
antique-victorian-silver-locket-with-silver-prince-of-wales-chain.jpg

The Belmont family locket would be an enchanted item, with said enchantment being that the mirror inside would display the wearer's deepest and strongest desires at any given point. The item is unique, but it doesn't really do anything too amazing in Morgan's eyes. She already knows what she would want, she doesn't need a locket reminding her. It is worn as jewelry but never opened.

Biography

"I'm from the middle of nowhere, you've likely never heard of it."

Childhood
Rachel was born in the budding territory of Arizona, just 14 years it became a State. Her parents a happenstance meeting in a bar, and a one night stand that turned into a lifetime of unhappiness for both of them. Rachel's mother worked as a barmaid in one of the many desert taverns. Her father was a miner, looking for his fortune one mine at a time. Rachel just happened to be an accident that tied the two wayward paths together.

Her mother was a pure-blood witch, actually having gone to Hogwarts herself before being expelled for poor behavior. She was a Slytherin, and always found herself using magic for her own interests and gain, and eventually caused one student to die, and several others to be injured. Her mother then moved to the states, and found herself in Arizona.

Her father knew nothing of wizardry, and her mother never shared it with either of them, keeping her magical identity to herself. Both her parents were poor, young, and alcoholic, a cocktail that created an unhappy and physically abusive life for Rachel. Her mother cared for her, though she had never wanted a child to begin with. Giving Rachel everything that she could afford to give her, this affection from her mother was the only trace of compassion Rachel found as a child. Despite her mother's efforts, however, Rachel faced a traumatic and emotionally scarring childhood, which would leave her with lifelong personality traits from it, mainly a lack of trust or compassion.
Ilvermorny
At age 12 Rachel received her letter, introducing her to the wizarding world. Her mother and she both saw it as her only chance to get away from the unhappy home, and backwater town. Rachel's introduction to the wizarding world was slow and rocky, but she eventually found herself at Ilvermorny.

Rachel had never gone to school as a child, and the introduction to Ilvermorny was a complete culture shock. In a different time zone, climate, and setting than she knew, Rachel floundered her first year at school, getting in both disciplinary and academic trouble. However, come her second year, Rachel had found herself. She became the popular girl, hated by most of the other girls, and sought after by her vain male classmates. Her rough childhood left her cold, and isolated - an arms reach away from any true relationship. Every time anyone would grow close to her she would become self destructive, finding a way to push them away. Another factor that plagued Rachel's self confidence was her blood. Her mother, being English, had always found a way to remind Rachel that she was only half blooded. Though the Americans at Ilvermorny didn't care that she was half-blooded, it was a constant humiliation for Rachel.

She found herself in an almost happy situation at the beginning of her sixth year. She had a semi-close group of friends, and a boyfriend that had been with her for nearly a year. As her sixth year grew to a close, however, she had managed to self destruct her again. In a wild-night that got out of controlled she found herself cheating on her boyfriend for one of her friend's boyfriends.

From that moment on, each relationship she cherished began to deteriorate until Rachel found herself alone once more come summer.
Hogwarts
Just before school began her 7th year Rachel's mom left her dad. Her mom decided to move back to England, hoping to find a better life back home and offered to take Rachel with her. The idea of moving to England felt to Rachel like the chance to escape her old life at Ilvermorny, and find a new life where she could be happy.

She applied to transfer to Hogwarts, and was approved. Upon arriving she was sorted into Slytherin. She began lying to everyone she met, stating that she was pure-blooded, in order to gain approval and feel better about herself. She thought that no one would be the wiser, however, several days into Hogwarts she learned that one of her old friends from Ilvermorny, Felix, had also transferred this very year to Hogwarts. She and Felix had been friends during her early years at Ilvermorny. However as Rachel grew older, her coldness and nastiness drove Felix away.

Personality

"All you need to know about me is that I'm

way out of your league honey."
Rachel is like a shattered window that a blind man put back together with super glue. When an oppressive childhood beats all the hope, and goodness out of a kid, what's let manifests itself as the many faceted, sharp edged, dangerous girl that is Rachel. She has issues forming connections with people for an array of reasons. For starters, she has deep seated trust issues. She finds it difficult to truly trust anyone, and thus keeps people at arm's distance. She had difficulty with attachment, and often will subconsciously self-destruct any relationship she's in to avoid the uncomfortable reality of anything becoming permanent.

Life was so cruel to Rachel, that she finds no reason that she shouldn't return the favor to everyone in life around her. In an attempt to inflate her fragile self-confidence, Rachel over projects her own ego - bragging about how hot she is, or how good she is at magic, or lying about being a pureblood.

Personality: Clark is perceived by some as being a tender, gentle soul who is fascinated by life and death. He is considered to have the soul of a poet when it comes describing his feelings towards the subject. He is highly intelligent and is capable of kindness, but at times displays a darker nature in that he is arrogant and openly disdainful towards others, perceived to have a cold, or "bloodless" approach to certain situations. He has dedicated himself to researching magic and all things related to it and has sacrificed everything for his pursuit. However, he is playing with fire, and the answers he is searching for will come with devastating consequences. Clark is adept at hiding his true feelings, having grown up with distant relationship with his parents. He also finds it somewhat difficult to express himself emotionally. As a result, open expressions of adoration are uncharacteristic. Though, at times, Clark is shown to reveal deeper emotion. Despite his love and practice of magic, Clark remains a devout Catholic, which he has been since late childhood.

Biography: Clark was born to a wealthy family in New York City. With the heritage and loyalty a being a big part of his family, Clark was raised like his father to be a man of the cloth. He was given training and knowledge from the local church, though his father was disappointed when Clark received his letter from Ilvermorny. He was from then on treated like dirt by his older brothers, who were training to be priests. He then attended Ilvermorny for 5 years, being sorted into Pukwudgie and becoming an outstanding wizard. When he returned home from his fifth year at Ilvermorny, his older brothers, jealous of the attention Clark got from his mother, tried to perform an exorcism on Clark and when that didn't work, they tried to burn Clark at the stake. Luckily, an Auror was dispatched to intervene, and his brothers' minds were obliviated and they were never again trusted with the information about the wizarding world. Soon after this, Clark's father passed away. His mother decided that it was best if Clark moved in with his uncle and aunt in England to be away from his brothers. Clark then applied for a transfer to Hogwarts and was accepted and would start the fall of his sixth year.

@Caleb Richardson, hey man sorry to say, but I think three Americans are enough. I would like for you to change to someone from the British Isles, or if you want to choose a different nationality like French or something, then sure, be a transfer from Beauxbaton or something.

Thanks for the understanding.

Hey guys, so basically, I came up with an idea that maybe you'll be interested in. The summary of it is simple, at this point in time, we all know who our characters would like and who'd they like to interact with. So the thing I want to pitch to you is now that we're in the Great Hall, you can start having your own threads and focus on your characters and their interactions?

Thoughts?
@Vosrik, @Shalken, @Phantom, @Tristar, @Cameron Foster. @Proleptic, @Prudence, @Kuroshi, and @Talon maara.
