"No kidding," she coughed out. Tann slurped down her slushie trying to get the awful taste out of her mouth. That's when a quick feeling of relaxation hit her. She sighed and hummed a little to herself. Was that the drug? She had no idea.

Segri stood and Tann looked up after one final cough. She smiled and took her hand to get up and together they moved to the bar. Segri would throw her cup away but Tann had a few more sips of hers to gulp down. She went a little faster than she should have, but slowed once the brain freeze started to kick in. Still, after she too deposited her empty glass they'd make their way into the club.

Tann's heart was racing. She was so nervous, but also extremely excited. This is the sort of stuff she wanted to get out and do. Live! That's what she was doing finally. She was living her life. Music was roaring all around them making her head hurt a little. Yet, she wouldn't have it any other way. As they walked to find a seat Segri tried to offer some rules of engagement to which Tann replied "Oh you mean like you are?" but the words were cut out by the sounds of the music.

Sitting down she scooted her way into the booth and looked around the bar now that she wasn't trying to push through people. Her lekku were swaying back and forth behind her head showing her enthusiasm. When the waitress came however, another blush came over her as she realized not only was the woman a Twi'lek, but she was seeing far more of her species than she'd want to. It shouldn't have been any different than any other dinner she'd eaten at, but this just felt...gross? She pitied the girl. After that talk of slavery she wondered if someone forced her to wear that outfit, whatever there was of it at least.

After taking their order and giving Tann a look of amusement, Tann tried to return the smile but it more than anything looked like someone who knew they'd get in trouble for just being here. She had zero confidence to speak of. In a way, it might be adorable to some. To Tann though, she was flushed with shame.

"Can I get back to you on that later...?" she'd respond nervously.

Segri laughed at Tann's comment and helped herself to another drag of the cigarette. But she could see that Tann was a fish out of water. Between her reaction to the waitress, the music and the general atmosphere, Tann was lost. "Hey, Tails. Don't look so wound up. Relax. Just wait 'til our drinks are here, then you'll get into the mood soon enough." she said with a wink. Just a few moments later the Twi'lek returned and handed them their drinks, though between the look she gave Tann and the rather smooth way she slid her drink over to her, Segri could see she was eyeing up the poor kid.

She walked off with a wink and Segri looked back to Tann. "Yeah she's into you." she commented before taking a sip of her drink. "Though I'd suggest not running off with her if she asks." she continued. She cokced her head to the side and looked her over. "I'm just gonna take a guess and say you didn't mingle too much with the boys -or girls- on Ryloth, did you?" she asked her casually, killing her cigarette on an ashtray on the table.

She pushed the rather personal topic aside for both Tann's sake and their drinks, and nodded to the bottle in front of her. "Go on, have a sip. It's pretty weak and tastes good. I think you'll like it." she explained as she leaned forward a little.

As she took another sip of her own drink, she looked around. The people all looked like they were supposed to be there. Groups of guys laughing around and doing their own thing. A couple just relaxing at the counter. A man in a suit with a bottle of whiskey in front of his glass and a thousand yard stare in his eyes. But Tann...she clearly didn't belong there. As long as she didn't get wasted, that was probably fine...if this was what having a kid is like, Segri needed to give that business a hard swerve.

Tails?? She didn't have a tail...Oh! Her lekku. In Basic they loosely translated to head tails. That realization made her giggle. She smiled back at Segri and then turned her attention back to their surroundings. When she spotted the waitress returning she couldn't help but avoid eye contact. With that same awkward smile she tried to seem friendly as the girl passed her whatever this cider was.

"Huh? What? Into what? Me?" Confused and totally freaking out she looked back to the girl walking away. "Uh. Alright. Sure. Ok. That's....fine.

Segri wouldn't even have to ask the question about boys and girls because she instantly blushed three times as much, and as fast, as she hid her head once more. "Mom wasn't.....big on.....dating..." With the whine and shame dangling in the back of her throat she used Segri's permission to find a little liquid courage. She swiped the bottle and took a long pull before setting it down and making that facial expression everyone knew. A rookie's face.

"Oh wow. That....that has a flavor." A little stunned, she took another sip. This time, a much smaller one.

Watching her blush and squirm was starting to become rather amusing to Segri. She needed popcorn for this. "Oh don't worry about it, you'll get your chance." she reassured her and let the topic go. She could tell the girl was suffering under all these questions.

Segri almost choked on her drink as she watched Tann's face warp at the taste of it. "Yeah sorry, I should have warned you." she apologised "It's not exactly a fruit juice you can just chug all day...unless of course you want to get utterly wasted." She gave her a rather worried smile. "I'd suggest you avoid that for now. It's not pleasant." she warned with a friendly tone, hoping the girl won't get utterly floored on her first time going to a bar.

She took a long sip from her drink then looked down at Tann's drink. "Now I'm getting jealous over that." she quipped before downing the remainder of her drink and rising from her seat. "I'm just gonna get us a round two, I'll be right back. Just stay put." she assured her before slipping out of the booth and making her way towards the bar. She gave a glance back every now and then, but the crowd of people eventually cut off her line of sight from seeing her. She focused on getting their drinks as quickly as possible.

With how Tann is, leaving her alone wasn't a very good choice at all...

"I'll try to keep that in mind..."

Tann gulped and brought the bottle back to her lips to try and adjust to the smell and the taste. She took another sip and made another face, not nearly as dramatic as the first. It was not something she could drink all day long. How did people do this? But, given the fact that people did, there must have been something to it. That very reason kept the drink in her hand now and every few moments another sip.

"Wait you're...." but she stopped herself. She'd be fine on her own. Segri would only be gone for a minute or two. There wasn't any danger of that and she couldn't be clingy. "Sorry. No go ahead. I won't go anywhere."

The Twi'lek watched her leave and she clung to her bottle even more now. Why did she feel such anxiety? That wasn't like her at all. It was almost like she knew this place was bad, or that there were people here that were. Her instincts were going off like alarms in her head. Only after taking another long sip did the sirens seem to muffle a little.

As she waited she continued to look around the bar when she heard a new voice to her left, "Mind if we join you?"

Tann turned her head to see three boys likely Segri's age or so standing by her booth. Before she could even get a word in they pushed their way down and surrounded her from both sides (one to the left, and two where Segri had been sitting). "Great. Thanks."

A shy and meek Tann lowered her head a little and replied softly, "Oh yeah....sure."

Trying to seem friendly, she looked to the boy to her left and gave him a smile, then looked to the ones on the right and did the same. They were attractive, for a human, Zabrak, and what she assumed was a Keshian based on their unique eye color. Then again, it could have just been an augmentation. She had no idea. The others then started bombarding her with questions, cutting her off with their own banter as she tried to speak.

"So what's a tweek like you doing all the way out here?"

"I'm just here for a-"

"And what are you doing all alone?"

"I'm not alone my friend-"

"We'll keep you company. Right boys?"

"Oh yeah."

"Definitely."
