What's up everybody, I'm Pharaoh. I stumbled upon this site while surfing the web and I decided to join. I'm a fan of star wars and I'm starting to get into RPing so this site seems like the perfect place for me. I'm no expert storyteller but I hope to improve my role-playing abilities during my time here. I just finished reading through the rules and guidelines, so I think I'm ready to get started. I'm thinking of making a Jedi character so any tips and advice about the Jedi is appreciated. Also, is there anything I need to know before starting?

To be honest, the Jedi have a loooooooooot of members. Like, there are 90ish Jedi. That being said, if you want to make a Jedi, beware of that but proceed ahead. As for ideas for charries, it's really up to your preference.

Pretty much as long as you've read over the story and the rules, you're good to go. Just in case you haven't though, I recommend giving our Guide to Force Powers a once over as the Force is handled a tad differently 'round these parts.

Thanks for the heads up. 90 members does seem like a lot but it'll probably make it a bit easier to get started. There's a lot more people to RP with. I'll still think over my choice of faction though.

I have a couple questions if you guys would be so kind as to answer them. While looking through other character profiles, I noticed people have fancier templates than the basic one. Are these templates available for everyone? If so, would you be so kind as to provide a link? All help is appreciated. I'm usually not a stickler and would settle for the standard template but it's my first character so I might as well go all out.

The Player Workshops have a number of custom made templates that are free for use. For others, all you really need to do is ask and people will generally be happy to provide you with the coding for their templates.
