Peran Tarik
25th Coruscant Commandos

Access Granted

The security monitor beeped as Peran swiped his badge. The door to the armory room opened with a quiet hiss.

"Back already?" The armory clerk behind the counter scowled at Peran as he approached the cage.

"Yeah, training exercise was cut short. Recalled because of that ruckus at Ranger Command." Un-slinging the rifle from his shoulder, Peran continued as he placed it in the transfer case. "Hardly even got to use the thing."

The rest of the day was short, a quick debriefing on the events of the interupted training exercise and the situation that had a brought them home early. As it stood things on the ground were stable and they weren't needed. From there it was a quick change into street clothes and a short walk to the parking garage.

Driving his airspeader out the gate, Peran drove around for a bit, putting some distance between himself and the base before pulling out of traffic at a holo-cafe.

"One double caf with a splash of corellian toffee." He ordered before sitting down at a corner booth and pulling out his datapad.

This changes everything.

Double-triple checking his datapad encryption, Adrastos set up a few proxies that ran through several other holo-cafs. Just to be safe.

First was a message post on CoruscaList with a new anonymous account that simply read.

"Help Wanted. Handyman (or women). Odd jobs. 50,000 .annual. No benefits"

It wasn't the best way to contract or contact criminals, but there was a certain simplicity to it.

From there, Adrastos put out a few feelers to his contacts within the Sith Eternal. If anyone managed to hack in to his message stream it would just look like simple greetings, hey howya beens.

After that there was one final message to send, one that he wasn't sure would get through. He had never met The Doctor before, but he had heard of

"Hey doctor. Heard you do good work. Am in need of a check-up and Vaccinations

Eternally yours." @Dmitri

Leaning back in his seat, Adrastos watched his datapad and drank his caf. The market was moving fast in response to the attacks and Adrastos could make a tidy profit with the portfolio he had put together over his years in the core. He had some time to work while he waited.

(Open to holonet responses. Also open to people walking into the cafe.)

One of the biggest perks that came with being old as shit was that it afforded you several lifetimes worth of contacts at any given time, so when it came to things like people looking for bodies to do their dirty work, Draven was never too far behind in finding out. Not but a few minutes prior the Anzat had a holotext come across his datawatch, asking if he was still on Coruscant.

Apparently, someone here was putting out feelers looking for cohorts in an entirely unexplained endeavor. Not usually something that Draven would bother himself with, but today he was rather bored and aimless, so he figured why the hell not.

He strode casually into cafe and made his way to the counter, ordering a triple red-eye coffee. Caffeine was one of Draven's numerous vices, and he didn't really consider drinking bean water worth the time if it didn't give you at least minor heart palpitations.

Once he'd received his drink, Draven would indiscriminately scan the cafe for a moment before his gaze landed on what he was looking for. Spotting a Sith in a sea of casual citizens usually wasn't very hard. They carried themselves different, even sat different - always with that same sort of stick-up-their-ass posture no matter how lowvibe some of the newer ones claimed to be. Of course, they also had easily identifiable auras that most of them didn't bother to hide as well as they ought to.

Finding a seat next to @Adrastos, Draven sat down and casually glanced at his datapad, like one would if they were infinite scrolling through a holofeed.

I figured you'd be up to something more exciting than inviting strangers to a first date in a coffee shop. He said idly, eventually putting his datapad away and drinking a good portion of his red eye. Or is this just the tailgate before the real fun begins?

Draven was going out of his way to remain vague, should someone happen to be listening in. You never knew with these young Sith, most of them were dumber than kinrath shit in a pint of gravy. It was possible someone was already onto him, but for now things seemed quiet enough.

When Adrastos had initially put out feelers he hadn't quite expected someone to respond so quickly. He really hadn't expected them to walk in and sit down next to him. Didn't matter though, he had asked and the force provided.

"Well Cinder has been a bust when it comes to dates, and speed dating isn't really my thing." He said casually as he made a trade on the market selling off a portion of shares in a small-arms company that had just spiked in value. They would probably fall again in a few weeks and he would recoup the lost shares. For now he needed the cash.

"Was thinking of putting together a little party. Private affair. Drinks, music. Maybe some fireworks." He said casually, discretion was the name of the game after all. "Could turn into a rager though. Interested?"

That was the understatement of the century.

Hungover, Derna was leaning on her kitchen counter waiting for the coffee maker to ding when an interesting message popped up on CoruscaList, a jobslist she was keeping tabs on just to spite her parents. 'Odd Jobs, 50 thousand in credits' Kriff, couldn't hurt to reply and see what happened, right?

"Ding" her coffee was ready, but the steamy mug remained in the dispenser while she typed up a reply in a private message.

Systech Solutions said:
"Hey Anonymous,

Interested in job. Need more details."

The account she used was a reference to the Lorso ancestor her parents hated. Once upon a time their family owned a stim-facility on Quesh that naturally went bankrupt after less than three generations. Derna fancied the name, however, "Systech" and decided to use it as an anonymity-filter the way her slicer friend back at the corporate academy had taught her.

Finally taking the coffee from the dispenser she made her way over to her kitchen table. She had four more days of downtime on Coruscant before he ship to Manaan left.. should be enough to figure out if this job was worth it to bail on Blackwell for.

"Hey doctor. Heard you do good work. Am in need of a check-up and Vaccinations

Eternally yours." @Dmitri

The message had been the catalyst for The Doctor's arrival on Coruscant. Following the Trinity Crises, The Doctor had fled Nar Shaddaa after his run-in with Jedi Councilor Oren Zapan. The Doctor's team had largely remained in Hutt Space, migrating to Nal Hutta to organize any collected data and resources, and transfer them back to Sith-held outposts. The Doctor himself was already in the Core, aiding in emergency surgery for several critically wounded Guardians and Legionnaires; this of course taking place on Corulag rather than Coruscant, but it was a quick jump to the ecumenopolis when Adrastos sent the message.

The Doctor, disguised as a taller-than-average Gand named, well, Gand (their culture proliferating the issuance of non-illustrious Gand refer themselves to outsiders as simply Gand, came with two gifts. The first was a real vaccination kit; the latest message was a disguised summons, but there was a small chance that Adrastos actually needed vaccinated while they met (he wouldn't be the first to do so). The second was a shiny sealed water container with the note "From Praya, With Love". Inside was a small delicacy that was responsible for the abandonment and closure of the Sea Castle Resort.

The Doctor didn't enter the holo-cafe right away. First he entered the adjacent alleyway. The benefit of the Gand Findsman disguise was any weirdness would be interpreted as the strangeness found in Gand on the job. The Doctor crouched down and pried off the cover to a power-converter. He plugged into the access-port, to infect the cafe with the Dread Virus. He wasn't sure if it was needed, but at minimum it would allow him to acquire a recording of the events to come, and erase any records if the Sith Eternal desired. His task complete, the "Gand Findsman" stood up and made the quick sojourn inside the holo-cafe.

Adrastos was easy to spot, though the man next to him was a pleasant surprise. The Doctor knew this man by reputation, as one of the few Sith older than himself, and by legions. Draven Karkko. A powerful Anzat. If Adrastos' message he piqued his interest, Draven's inclusion cemented it. And that was assuming no one else showed.

The Neti approached as Adrastos finished talking about the 'rager'. First giving a subtle nod of respect to Draven for his seniority, The Doctor spoke in a tone that could be heard by most people around, though intentionally quiet enough not to be heard by the bartender who was talking with an individual who had arrived shortly after The Doctor, asking the newcomer if they wanted a drink and what kind. "I hear the drinks here may be cheap but taste like piss. Lucky for you, my good sir, I managed to sneak in the good stuff." His fingers slid over to his side where the canister was fastened underneath the leathery cloak that hid the more intricate elements of his bodysuit.

It doesn't appear as though Derna Lorso (@Ecclessey) has physically arrived at the cafe yet, hence why The Doctor doesn't mention her.

The grapevine was…well…a grapevine. Rumours and tittle-tattle were shared more readily than a granite slug left corrosive acidic slime. Most of it passed her by. Anything Sith related tended to get a second hearing and rumours about Coruscant were given the same treatment. The former was obvious – given which side of the Force her loyalties lay – and the latter was because it was the planet she was raised on. Not that she had a great affinity for the ecumenopolis – quite the opposite. For reasons she would never share with anyone, she wished it wiped off the galactic map and although it was a task she would like to accomplish herself, she knew in her heart of hearts (regardless of how black it was) that this was never going to be possible.

Rather, she looked for any opportunity to be part of any plan that caused a significant detriment to the planet. Not petty and – in her opinion – mindless acts of violence. But real statements.

Which is why she was en route to a holo-café of all things. Would it pan out to be the real deal? Only time would tell.

Adrastos datapad pinged as he got a message in reply to his advert. He quickly typed out a response.

Hello Systech Solutions. We are an enterprising start-up with many positions available. Please list skills for placement.

Sending the response, Adrastos looked up from the datapad as a rather tall Gand walked into the holo-caf and sat down right in front of him. Wincing at the only somewhat suspicious line, Adrastos nodded to him.

"I appreciate it." He said to the Doctor. Assuming it was the Doctor and not actually a crazy Gand Findsman who stumbled upon him. A few quick taps on the datapad would send a secondary meeting location to the pair of Sith for them to reconvene at privately.

Quite by coincidence, Wolfgang had already been on Coruscant for other business endeavours of his. The recent attack on the Ranger station had spread them thin and caused a panic, opening up new avenues of profit, shiny new cracks in the social infrastructure for the avaricious Sith to sink his roots into. He was not one of Adrastos' direct contacts but, as luck would have it, a friend of a friend sent the information down the proverbial grapevine. Based on the vague contents the man behind it showed a sense of competence and discretion, and if it was happening on Coruscant they were doubtless ambitious. Wolfgang had no little amount of ambition of his own, and so he decided to at least check out the goings-on. He had time.

"Pilot, redirect to this address," he directed to the droid that served as his pilot, passing over the location of a particular holo-cafe. It didn't take long to arrive, the airspeeder settling itself nearby. Wolfgang readjusted his jacket, well dressed as usual, settled his cane on the speeder seat, and made his way inside the cafe. The presence of other wielders of the Dark was rather obvious, especially as they all seemed to be clustered together. He'd buried his presence, though only to the point of an ordinary person rather than entirely off the radar. At close range his alignment would be quite obvious.

He briefly looked over three while he waited for an order of plain black tea, noting in particular the humanoid whose colouration indicated a lack of body heat, as if they were a walking corpse. How very interesting. He'd heard rumours and reputation of such a being amongst the Eternal but had yet to meet them personally. The Gand was unusual, and his colours also seemed off, but that may be attributed to the suit. He lost interest after a moment and retrieved his tea.

Wolfgang stepped forward toward them, navigating around tables and other patrons, and slipped smoothly into a seat by the rest of them. He sipped his tea, which he'd really only ordered to be polite, grimaced slightly, and then set it down on the table. He offered the group of Sith a small, polite smile and nodded slightly in greeting.

"Good evening, gentlemen. Mind if I join you?"
