"I am a Jedi, like my mother before me."
"Well ok, not exactly like my mother before me and, well, not exactly my mother. I should probably start at the beginning for this to, uh, make sense."
"I never knew my parents, they dropped me off at an orphanage as a baby. The Jedi found me pretty early on, I think either one or two years of age, because I don't remember the orphanage at all. My Jedi life was pretty standard, though I'm told I am exceptional at lightsaber combat. I don't think so, I think I just put a lot more time and effort into it. The whole atonement and philosophy angle of the Jedi Order never really got very far into my head. Maybe I'm just dense, or just can't focus on it? But I always had trouble with books, so I turned to the blade. Blades are so simple. When you start to fight, everything else in the galaxy melts away into the flowing of lights and emotions. You can see someone for who they really are when you fight, it's intense, powerful, and beautiful.
"I have always been, and still am, fascinated by who my family is. When the Jedi found me, they told me the orphanage gave them a sealed durasteel case that had been left with me. The orphanage owners were afraid to open it, wanting to wait until I could investigate it myself when I got old enough. The Jedi did not retain those kind of sentiments and cracked it open pretty soon after taking me in. Inside was a sealed datapad and an ancient lightsaber emblazoned with the last name 'Albion.' For years, they tried unlocking the datapad, but to no avail. Even now, in my possession, I still don't know what it contains. But I do know that the Jedi run in my family, and I intend to find out exactly who my father and mother were, or are.
"This year, I have been Knighted. My final trial came in the form of a diplomatic mission to the planet of Nar Shaddaa. I was supposed to negotiate with a Hutt gangster to release a few imprisoned political prisoners. The mission went south and my master was critically wounded in the fighting. I saved her life and the prisoners without killing anyone. That is not to say I did not exercise violence, I thoroughly disarmed and eliminated the Hutt's bodyguards and personally convinced him at the point of a blade to release the prisoners. But I gave him no reason to exact vengeance upon us for his men, and this restraint impressed the council. My master was able to make a full recovery just in time to see them cut my padawan braid.
"I will do everything in my power to bring peace to the galaxy, but I'll do it the right way. Death is not the only way, and even people who don't see eye to eye don't have to end their conversations in violence."
