Drexus was fairly new to the light side gig. He also had little to no friends, and only really one ally in Ezra and it wasn't as much an ally more of a teacher. So him being here was his time to be working on some things light sided. A new form of lightsaber combat, and avoiding the dark side for most of the training so he can try something new. The training room he was in was open to the rest of the Jedi but he figured after hours was the best time to get some training in with little interruption.

The training droid was set to be one of the past Jedis who Drexus was unfamiliar with. His strikes were fluid as he had been training the new form.
"Try using the force with your attacks, but remember the darkness within you is not your defining feature. The light can bring you as much use as the darkness you cling to." Drex tried to not cringe at the automated comments, but would continue with his training, using the force to only push and pull. He hasn't been properly taught to do any lighter uses.

"This is useless, how can I become stronger if I can't even use the side I'm trying to learn?" The droid would remove it's Jedi form and return to being the training droid, "If you continue to doubt yourself you will fall back to the darkness. You must want to find your inner calm and trust in the force. When you are ready you will know." Drexus sighed as he would take a seat and drink some water taking a slight break. Sweat beading from his forehead, and down the other heated parts of his body. He would lean over and pour a little water on his head to cool himself off, wetting his hair. "I need someone who can teach me the force, and Ezra has been busy doing Jedi goody two shoes things. Probably forgot he was supposed to train me."

Sleep was always something that seemed to elude L'Veth. Maybe it was the excessive amount of coffee that she drank or maybe it was just that she always felt restless when the sun went down but either way, when everyone else was sleeping was the time she usually roamed the halls the most.

As L'Veth meandered down the empty halls, her keen Fiani ears picked up on the sounds of a gruff voice that seemed to be arguing with a droid. Her curiosity piqued. L'Veth hung a right towards one of the training rooms and stopped just outside of the threshold, leaning against the doorframe and watching the scene before her unfold.

The goody-goodies around here really are a drag, aren't they? She asked, a smirk finding its way to her lips as she gave Drexus a good look up and down. She'd never seen him before, though that wasn't super out of the ordinary, L'Veth didn't spend much time in and around the temples for the most part.

If you're looking to learn about the force, I'm not sure a droid will be the best teacher. Moving from her leaning place near the training room door, L'Veth entered the room proper and gave Drexus a shrug. I might be able to help you, though. What is it you are looking to learn?

In the midst of the discussion with the droid Drex was admittedly getting a little irritated seeing as how he was being told how to be a Jedi by an object. His eyes would roll and he'd get ready to get up and leave when he heard a voice from the entrance. Turning to see who it was, he'd see an unfamiliar face, which isn't uncommon due to him being new himself and not knowing everyone in the Jedi by name, or face even.

He would stand as he began to speak whilst taking a look at her having never seen a fiani before,
"Aren't you one of those goody-goodies? Being a Jedi and all?" He'd smirk as he would wave off the droid for the night. She carried herself a bit different than most Jedi he has interacted with but that's becoming more a theme with Jedi as time goes on. Especially if allowing him to train and possibly even become a Jedi was on the mind of Ezra then maybe it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

As she would continue, he would cock an eyebrow,
"Don't most of you Jedi speak just like that droid?" It was out of instinct to give shit to Jedi when he could but he would wave a hand and continue as she would continue to enter the training room, "Well I suppose something actually lightside in nature. Push and pull isn't cuttin it, i've known these for some time now." He looked at the fiani with a curious look for a second and then crossed his arms, "What's your name by the way? Gonna just enter a room and not introduce yourself like some celebrity."

L'Veth couldn't help but laugh at Drexus' comment asking if she were one of the goody-goodies. She couldn't blame him, obviously, but it was quite clear the guy didn't know here at all. Shaking her head, L'Veth would swipe the hair from her face as her fox-like ears twitched just a little.

You'll come to find that not all Jedi are like the ones you hear about in the stories. I'm pretty far away from what someone would call a goody-goodie.

Tail swishing from side to side, L'Veth couldn't help but let her eyebrow raise in curiosity at Drexus. She wasn't quite sure what he meant by light-sided in nature, unsure how he could not know something like that if he already had been practicing with the force for 'some time.'

Her eyes narrowed for a moment as she stared at Drexus, letting her gaze hang on him as she tried to discern something past what was obvious. She might have been a padawan, but she was still able to sense there was something different about him than any other Jedi she had ever met.

Something.. sharp and angry hung around him, clouded his aura. A touch of the darkside maybe, but L'Veth wasn't quite adept enough to truly realize if that was actually true. Needless to say, her curiosity was piqued even if her sense of danger seemed to flare - though, she was ready and willing to completely ignore that at the moment.

My name is L'Veth. What's yours? She cocked her head to the side just a bit, like someone would when they were looking at something that seemed just a little bit off.

I can show you the lightside, I guess. Have you never used it before - where did your training come from?

Drex would only leave his smirk as she laughed at his question, and then nod as she would deny being a goody goody. He wasn't sure what she was doing narrowing her eyes and giving him a gander for a moment. He'd cock an eyebrow and wait for the name to pop up.

When she introduced herself as L'Veth he'd nod and greet back,
"Drexus.. you can call me Drex if it's easier for you." He was noticing all the odd movements she made. Was she into him? Was she sizing him up? Was she trying to piece together if he were Sith in the past? All were unsure at the moment. Perhaps she was strange, maybe all fiani were strange.

"Well I've used basic force powers and such, but I was brought in to learn the light. I have yet to learn anything about the light side of the force." When L'Veth asked where his training came from he sighed for moment and looked away, then he'd bring his eyes back to her, "I learned from my father on Dathomir." He would stop himself there, crossing his arms, his muscles contracted at the biceps were glistened with sweat. He would eye her back, she was attractive enough but it's not always about looks.

It'd be bad enough for them to know he was once a Sith, but worse to know who his father was. Ezra is the only one who knows at the moment, maybe a couple members of the council depending on how Ezra got him in, but it felt a bit too soon to share deep secrets with chick you just met. Though if she stuck around him long enough she may earn that right, and maybe even his eye.
"So what do you got for me?"

Dathomir, huh? L'Veth didn't know a great amount about the planet outside of the stuff that everybody knew - that it was haunted and spooky and filled with witches. She also recalled it being a fairly matriarchal society, so it was kind of surprising that Drexus had been trained there by his father of all people.

I doubt your father was a Jedi if you he trained you on Dathomir, She said, still finding it curious that Drexus had been taught the force but seemingly without the typical bent of the light side, though the revelation about where he was trained offered some inside into that. Was he self trained?

The lightside is about selflessness, She said, walking in a circle around Drexus with a hand on her hip. Some people think being a Jedi is about controlling your emotions so much that you turn into a droid. It's not. It's about feeling your emotions, accepting them, but ultimately letting them go.

Seeing a nearby potted plant, L'Veth raised her hand toward it and channeled the force. It's about feeling the connection between all things and finding the balance there.

The plant would - slowly, at first - begin to grow in front of Drexus' very eyes, its roots breaking through the pot and spreading across the floor. They would even grow thorns as the roots grew, though L'Veth's aptitude in the force wasn't potent enough as just a padawan to do much more.

Finding harmony through the force can let you alter the very environment around you. Imagine what you could do in dense jungles like on Onderon and not just with a little potted plant.

L'Veth's gaze was drawn back to Drexus' face, wondering what the man was thinking. She was no Jedi philosopher, but she hoped that her explanation at least made some sense to him.

Much different than the way the Sith go about things. But their approach leads to nothing but ruin and death.

As far as L'Veth was concerned, being a Sith was damn near the worst thing someone could be. For a person to choose selfishness, greed and lust for nothing but power made no sense to her at all. To put nothing but pain and sadness into the galaxy to serve only yourself was just absolutely detestable.

Do you want to try?

When L'Veth had questioned where his father's training came from, Drex sighed. If he lied it'd be obvious, and if she's willing to help him out then why not be honest? What harm could come from it? She get upset and leave? Scared and leave? Wouldn't be the first time or last to happen whilst he was here. So He decided if he were going to earn trust he'd earn it through the truth.

"No he wasn't self trained.." Drexus would wipe his face and then continue, "He was taught by other force users on the planet and decided I should know." He couldn't open up. Not yet at least. She seemed on edge right now. Or at least he had felt she might be. So he would leave it at a half truth. His father had told him most of the training he did was on Dathomir so why not give half the truth?

L'Veth would continue on and on about what the lightside was about, and admittedly she was sounding more and more like a master in the Jedi, but with the carelessness of a padawan. It annoyed, bored, but intrigued Drexus all at the same time. An odd take on the situation but he would pay attention the words. For the most part at least. She was circling him like she was better, or as if she was a predator playing with her food. It was.. cute. Useless, but cute.

"You're well spoken for a junior Jedi. I take it literacy was a strong suit." Then she did it, she channeled the force into a plant in a pot, and it grew. Not a massive amount or anything that was shockingly impressive, but it was something that he knew he couldn't do yet. Something that piqued his interest.

"Okay so I just.. feel for the plant? Like imagine it growing?" He would cock an eyebrow. He heard what she had been saying, take in the feelings of the force, reach out but be selfless. He had to want the plan to grow not for him but for a better reason. For someone else, for the plant itself. He had to want something selfless. "Here I go." He would reach a hand out and close his eyes. He wanted to see if he could make a flower bloom, wanting it to bloom for L'Veth. Not in a romantic way, at least he didn't think so. He wanted something to happen to the plant that was different from growing. Plus he wanted the plant to look nicer.

After a while a very small flower would blossom. He could feel the force respond. It felt different.. warmer. An odd feeling, he hadn't felt before. He smiled for a moment.
"I.. I did it." Then he would clear his throat and lose the smile. He had an image to uphold. It was pretty awesome that he learned something. She helped him.

He thought for a moment staring at the flower, something felt wrong in him. About his father. A Jedi wouldn't have shame about who they are. Maybe he could learn to be more selfless, more truthful. What better time than to start now?
"My father.. he was Sith. Darth Draugr.." His eyes still staring at the plant. His arms crossed, and a breath of relief lightly left his body. "And I was Sith.. Until Ezra brought me to learn the lightside. So here I am." He would let his cold eyes turn to L'Veth waiting to see if she reacts the way he expected.
