Hello, my names Ryan and I live in the UK.

You can see my character page here and um I've never really been on an RPing form before but I've had the pleasure of RPing in various games and communities prior to this, does this differ from that?

Welcome! This is more collaborative story-telling then anything. I don't know much about what you experienced, but that's what this site's about.

I see your main is an indie character. That's fine and all, but it's probably a good idea to create one in a main faction also. It's easy to get in on the action this way.

Yep! If you have a character, feel free to join with them. Although, keep in mind you can only have characters in one main faction at a time. I would personally recommend Republic, as they are looking for members and it will give you a better chance to get involved, but feel free to pick whichever one you want!

Um sorry one last question how would I go about joining them? @Reya Starlyght, would I need to become a senator or how would I do that. Sorry for being a nuisance :confused:

Or join the Border Alliance if you don't want to be a Senator, but want to join the Republic faction

As @TAC says: join the first to blow bad guys up and the second to talk about blowing bad guys up.

You would go to the faction subforum, and hit the sign-up for either Senator or Border Alliance. BA is kind of like the Republic's informal army. They are trying to hold back the Sith from the Republic.

And no, it's fine! I find it fun to point people in directions for the site. Something to do to help on SWRP.

Welcome to the site, @Paris Utorna!

Just to clarify, you aren't obligated to join a main faction, or even an Indie (player created) faction. You're free to keep your character as disconnected from factions as you wish.

That said, if you do wish to join the Galactic Senate, you can sign up for that here. There's also the Border Alliance, the military side of the Republic, which you can sign up for here if you are so inclined.
