I have no idea, I had one too many at dinner but here I am, 18 Portuguese soon to be history major and here's my first question. Maybe I wasn't paying attention but if I have three characters do they all need to be in the same faction?

No you don't have to have them all in the same faction. Only two can actually be in the same faction. But if you make a Sith, you can't go make a Jedi. You can only be in one of the main factions.
