The Cobalt Viper did not need to spend a lot of time in hyperspace. The trip to Corsin was easy enough with the mapped routes. The firespray patrol craft dropped out of hyperspace, revealing a bright sun in the center of the system. Before the vessel, the planet grew closer. There was some other traffic and distant moving specs or IFF tags of vessels coming in and out.

"I hear they have some pretty good swoop races." He said as he adjusted his shoulder underneath his armor. The tattoo was healing over still and the work was great as far as the man could tell. Indyana had not complained either so far Sundari. This was his free time and her's as far as he knew. But Roland wondered how things would go. A little bit of excitement filled Roland's chest for a moment and he took a deep breath, focusing on flying and acting cool. Maybe the feeling about Indyana was just growing more.

"We can check out some islands I think in this area. The system is the last stop on the Mandalorian Road and there's always been reports of meteors and such but historical accounts mention untraced falls all over areas of the ocean. They never really check out the ones that don't hit land or cause damage." Roland would look to his companion to see what she thought.

Even Roland doubted they would find anything. The Cobalt Viper was not submersible and the Mandalorian's current armor setup was not rated for underwater exploration. Part of the reason had brought Indyana to Corsin was its possible historical information but also because this was his vacation. The man wanted to take it easy a little and not stray too far from the original suggestion of a study session. But part of him felt like the Jedi was picking up on some other signals. He wasn't complaining. Having both Indy with him and also having the stress of work beginning to ease off of his mind had his ship calmly gliding over the blue waves and along colorful coastline.

She could feel the smile tugging on her lips at the mention of swoop races, golden eyes slanting towards Roland with a faint grin. "Yeah? Maybe worth a check-out sometime then. I've only ever watched on holo." It had been literal ages, it felt like, since the last time she had taken a genuine break and just... gone somewhere. Though she couldn't deny there was an edge of excitement to this venture. The Pantoran found it hard to tear her eyes away from the view through the port; the water, the colors, all of it was almost unbelievable.

However, every now and then she could feel Roland glancing her way, and found herself glancing back, the smile widening. Just the mention of seeing islands alone brought a glimmer to her eyes, and she could feel her cheeks tinge ever so slightly in excitement just thinking about it. Uncharted meteors, multiple islands, all on beautiful waters and on a day off? Her luck was almost at max capacity; she chuckled once, nodding along.

"There's so much you can learn from them!" she exclaimed, gesturing to the landscape around them. "Just imagine, millions of years of information on pieces of other planets, how some wildlife might have adapted to the phenomenon..." she trailed off, then felt herself flush a deeper purple, and self consciously chuckled, tugging at the end of her braid.

"What I meant to say was yes, it sounds like a good idea; it's been a while since we've stretched our legs anyhow." Though she wasn't an empath, it seemed Roland was in his own head frequently, especially so since Sundari. Perhaps here, he could get out of his shell a little bit.

She glanced back at the water, and there was almost a wistful glance to her eyes. It had been a long while since the last time she could go on a swim.. perhaps later.

There was a giddiness that Roland saw in Indyana's eyes. It made the man smile underneath his helmet, liking the fact she was enjoying it so much. A part of him relaxed, returning to just bring the ship in for a calm approach. The Cobalt Viper flew over the Tinn'lyi Islands towards the main city at the southern edge. The unique landing proceedure carried on and finished without an issue.

"So..." He unclipped himself from the pilots chair and literally stretched his legs. Roland could swear he felt a joint pop. ...We could probably try to get a submersible more towards the docks. Could travel with just the swoop...but renting something might be better."

Heading down to the cargo hold he pulled his Westar's holster off and stowed it in his weapons locker. The man put away, but kept on him, his badge. The lightsaber he would hold for a moment. "Are lightsabers...water-operable?" He asked, almost not sure if he was using the right words. If it wouldn't work, then he didn't want to risk it getting damaged.

It was nice for a little respite now and then, and though this wasn't necessarily a vacation vacation, didn't mean they couldn't enjoy themselves just a little bit. Though she had never seen the Ranger really seem to embrace the concept of downtime; much like herself, perhaps, he lived his work, and though it was one of the largest elements to her life she enjoyed, there were times she wished she had more time to simply kick back and enjoy the sunshine.

It didn't take long for him to find a place to stop. Stretching absently as well, she grunted softly as her lower spine popped in protest and her shoulder twinged a bit with the movement, the tattoos still pretty tender. It always was for the first week at least; she would adjust.

"You spoil me," she teased with a cheeky grin, then hummed at the question. "...I think so?" she mused, humming in thought. "I've actually never tested that theory; if they are, we should be careful and keep them close, just in case." She nodded to his own lightsaber, gaze flicking back up to look at his visor. However, she was keen to get going; if the water was as gorgeous as it looked, she couldn't wait to see. And there were still the submersibles to look at and rent out; the day was definitely looking up.

She couldn't deny there was a frission of excitement at the thought that he seemed to look forward to it as well. That had to be good news, right?

Roland's deep murmur of amusement sounded from him side his helmet. "I don't think I'll need it..." He said. Watch as I need it The man thought to himself, wondering if he had just jinxed the not-vacation. Out of habit more than anything Roland had his droids setup surveillance around the ship and locked it down.

"So...to the docks then or....?" He trailed off since she hadn't commented a preference earlier. "They're this way." The captain headed out of the hangar area and towards the public streets. They would be able to follow the road a short distance before arriving at the docks. Fishers and sailors, travelers and tourists were moving about. Much less dense than Courscant and vibrant with with, Roland couldn't help but smile as he walked, taking in the tropical air through his helmet.

"I hear Ithor has some pretty flowers." He brought the subject up as his mind wandered to the temperate planets he had visited. "How have you been?" The sound of sea birds overhead called and trilled. Distant fluffy clouds occasionally brought temporary shade from Corsin's sun.

The scent of the ocean, the distant roar of the waves. The warm sun, the flow of living beings. Out in deep space, or lost in the ruins of some past civilization, Indy would sometimes forget what it meant to not be held down by responsibility. A Jedi seemed to never have time off, and yet... being here, the weight seemed to lift from her shoulders from the time being. Same with Roland, it seemed... there was a buzz of anticipation, however, just going along.

It was then she noticed he asked a question earlier.
"Oh! Yes, definitely the docks. But what about..." she gestured to his armor, head cocked slightly. She wasn't sure if his armor was waterproof or completely sealed; he still hadn't really told her yet, but he joked about it before.

She followed soon after him, a soft smile on her lips as she tracked over the landscape, taking in a deep breath of the air.
"I've never been," she replied, "but I've been to Naboo, and Ord Mantell still has some beautiful beaches and caves." He had a longer-legged strides than she did, but she could keep an easier pace. At asking how she was, though, she glanced up at his helmeted profile, grinning.

"Not going to lie, this is a nice stopover. With everything I've been dragging you through, this is... a nice break from getting shot at," she joked, giving him a wink. "You alright, though? I feel like I never ask." He always seemed so calm and stoic, yet there were times she caught glimpses of the Mandalorian as the way he was; it was nice without the rigid professionalism at all times. Though then again, she wasn't one to stand on ceremony.

He was good company to have, and in a place like this, how could anyone have a bad time? However, even she had to acknowledge this wasn't time to drop her guard. Even here, anything could happen.

The man looked down at this armor and then back up at Indy. "I'll be fine as long as I don't take a too long of a dip." It was heavy though mainly. His jetboots would actually work fine underwater though not to the same extent as they would in air. A rebreather also would allow him to breath for a bit too if he was submerged for too long though that was localized in the helmet. "Think I should get something a little more appropriate for scuba diving?"

Roland nodded as at the comment about Naboo. "I worked out of the Naboo Ranger office for a bit. Still stop through there pretty frequently." Looking around he was debating if he should move Corsin up on his 'optimal retirement' planets. So far each place had sunny season with a coastal view and Corsin was at the end of the Mandalorian Road. But retirement was years away. "I thought you were going to suggest that...Burn..Burninja?...planet." He still wasn't sure if he was pronouncing that planet's name right but chuckled a little. There had been droids in those caves.

The man gave a bit of an amused murmur at hearing her concern. Here Roland was thinking he was dragging her around. But he had to agree, this was definitely a welcomed break. "Just been busy. Lots of stuff going on after Dathomir with everything on Corescant." The events were still rippling throughout the galaxy. "I guess I'm a little nervous..." He took a breath and looked both ways before crossing in front of some slow moving trollies with containers of fresh caught fish. "I'm not entirely sure how to act. Well...this is my off time I suppose." Saying it out loud helped him actualize it, relaxing a little more in his shoulders. You're not on Bal'demnic with that Doctor. You're not in the field against Sith or some wild foe. Roland took another breath of the ocean air as they walked. His walking slowed slightly to match Indy's normal speed.

She chuckled at his teasing comment about suggesting Burinjina as a place to visit, arching a violet brow. "I know this may surprise you, but hunting down artifacts isn't the only thing I do for fun," she teased in return, then paused when he mentioned scuba uniform. "I should probably get something myself... I didn't bring anything that could be the best in water," she glanced ruefully at her outfit. "I'd look more like a drowned womp rat if I just went diving in."

However, what he said next visibly surprised her... and the smile dropped ever so slightly, golden eyes flicking up towards the visor.
"You and I have been through a lot together, haven't we," she murmured, then sighed, the grin turning slightly wry. "Goes for me too. Time off isn't something... I've ever really had. I'm glad it's with you, I don't have to play the role of wise master."

Despite the dry words, there was a spark of humor in her eyes.
"You didn't have to bring me along though, but I appreciate the time off as well. Is there anything you're keen to do?" He did seem to relax some; but she wasn't sure what the Mandalorian did to relax. "As it is, I'm easy. Some sun and surf and I'm happy."

The place itself wasn't a particularly busy port, however it seemed there were several others that had the same mindset as they did; several smaller boats skimmed through the water, and some submersibles as well in stalls and slips. She hoped he would feel more able to relax into the atmosphere, but oddly, she felt eager to help him relax even more, and couldn't quite explain why. Perhaps an obligation to someone who agreed to help her in the past... but this was a nice reprieve after everything.

Just what they both needed, maybe.

"I actually meant..." When they came to the edge of the docks he opened his mouth to continue when a binary loader walked between them and cutting the man off. "I mean-" The loud dinging of a ship's bell made him stop walking and wait patiently for him to be able to get a word in. Turning towards Indyana, he looked at her directly, down slightly from the height difference. "I wasn't sure how to act around...you."

Roland reached up to the back of his neck and rubbed it out of habit. He felt a bit embarrassed, his eyes looking at Indyana. Her yellow iris's stared back as if he wasn't waring a helmet at all. That was part of it. He wanted to let her in. "But I'm glad you came too. Better than glad actually." He wanted to be more than friends. But it wasn't like he could ask if he could take her out to dinner or the usual thing people see in holo-dramas.

She paused when he started talking. For some reason, it felt important to listen, and hear what he had to say. But at first, there were so many interruptions, and she had to stifle a grin at the sounds. However, when he actually turned towards her, she did the same, but his next words gave her pause.

She felt her cheeks color a faint violet as it dawned on her, for a moment lost for words.
"I... see..." she floundered, at first finding words had fled, scanning him. Rubbing his neck was somehow endearing; he said he was nervous before. Was he... interested in her? A brief flutter formed at the pit of her stomach, and she found herself grinning, head cocked slightly.

She almost wanted to touch him, but somehow that felt like it would be awkward. And he was trying his best, it seemed... but was he asking her out?

"All I ask is that you be yourself,"
she finally replied quietly, giving him a small grin. She hadn't realized she took a step closer, but suddenly there wasn't quite as much distance between them, "and that you don't have to feel like you have to be a certain way around me. But... it's good that you're glad I'm here. I like being around you a lot," she continued, then let out a huff of a laugh.

"But since we're here... I trust your judgement. What should we do first?" the grin returned, a hand propped on her hip and smiling up at his visored face. She was no empath, but she could sense, to a degree, his uncertainty, and hoped this would help him a little bit.

She wanted to ask him out, but never really could work up the courage. And after all the things they'd been through recently, rejection would make things awkward, and that was the last thing she wanted to do to the man she wanted to consider as more than friends.

His worry receded at her response. Roland didn't want to be fake or pretend when it came to this. Inhaling through his nostrils he turned back towards the rental store and then looked beyond it. There were was a rental place with a few submersibles instead of boats. "You're a shark right? Let's get one of those." He pointed towards what he was thinking.

"After that...then we'll see about getting some more aquatic attire if you want." He thought it best to get the vehicle first and then have their stuff inside it just for logistical ease. "Then maybe a dive or a trip to one of the more remote islands?" He had his eye on one in the distance. The rocks jutting out of it would mean the view of a sunset would be worth the hike.

Thinking of where they might end up, he checked a local athletics and sports outfitting shop. They seemed taken aback by a Mandalorian perusing their wares. A beach ball, some sunscreen, sunglasses, a disposable recorder, and purchases of some climbing equipment.

She let out a short laugh at his comment, following along. The shark... funny he remembered, or even noticed. Her lips quirked in a grin, then, letting him take charge was the best idea for now. He was most in his element figuring things out; though she could direct things as well, this was his idea, and she was happy to be along for the ride. Then again... he could've taken her to Tatooine and she would've been happy.

"I think that would be nice, taking a trip out to the islands. The tide is low, and it would be a smooth go."

As he got some of the other necessary supplies, she was perusing other things; she trusted him to get his own diving suit, but she got one of her own... and a water-friendly outfit that she considered for a moment, before chuckling once. Yes, she would try to swim at least once while they were here. It was practically a necessity for every beautiful place she'd been to.

When she came back, she had changed in one of the rooms into the wetsuit, hair unbraided but still swept back into a ponytail. She gave him a grin, a hand on her hip.

"Got everything you need there, Ranger?" she teased, but the smile was warm, playful. It had been so long since she'd been off a job, she could hardly wait to get going. Yet all at his pace; it was interesting enough as it was to see how Roland Rook would take to actually being on holiday.

Roland didn't feel like spending too much time on outfitting his armor to go below the waves just yet. Most everything the Mandalorian could need he already purchased. It wasn't like there was a Mandalorian sporting goods store or aquatic outfitters. The portions of the armor that were suited for vacuum would work alright for underwater if need be and the plates could be taken off if he needed to have more light weight mobility.

The Mandalorian was finishing loading things into their rented submersible when he turned and a did a double take on Indy. While his helmet stayed centered on her in a very obvious manner his eyes looked the Jedi over with a sense of surprise at just ho many tattoos the woman had. Roland knew she was strong and beautiful. But it still left him staring.

"Uh...yeah. Think so." He cleared his throat and looked back towards the vehicle to double check, getting his mind back on track. Roland would get in after Indy and then take the controls. After they got far enough away from the dock he would have the vehicle dive beneath the water.

"Ever traveled to a place like this?" He asked as his eyes took in the reef. Schools of fish flitted about and made way when the sub came close. The waves shimmered above them and the rippling glint of the sun lighting the colorful flora and fauna around them. This was his first time taking in a sight for what it was and not overlooking it while on the job. But this was just on the way further out towards the island he had in mind. It would be a few minutes before they arrived and he was enjoying the journey. The Mandalorian just wanted to keep the time of day in mind.

She couldn't help the cheeky grin at the Mandalorian's surprise; even if he remained ever the gentleman, she was very proud of how she looked, and for once, she felt calm, in her element. Blending in with the crowd, just being another person like any other was such a freeing feeling; and though Roland's appearance was unmistakeable, she was comfortable to be on a planet as naturally beautiful as this one.

And then he turned away and she chuckled, slipping into the submersible and stashing her lightsaber in one of the suit side pouches. Hopefully it was waterproof.

She couldn't contain her sharp intake of breath as they slipped into the warm waters, however, and the riot of colors that filled the reef in front of them, golden eyes glimmering with excitement.
"Not for a long, long time," came her soft reply, relaxing back as he took control. "Have you?" Giving him a sideways glance, he could possibly see the tensions of before slipping off her shoulders, and with the clear water, the colors, everything else didn't quite seem to matter quite so much. For once, the Jedi could feel herself truly relax, relishing the fact that she was just going with someone who wanted to be here too.

Guess she would find out soon enough just how water-friendly this Ranger was.

"Not for fun. Got to take a ride on Mon Cala on business when looking into a herglic fugitive. ...lots more open water. Fewer pretty fish." Roland eyes took in the array of underwater creatures showing tropical colors. His attention kept coming back to Indyana though before making sure he was piloting submersible smoothly.

The reef would eventually drop off and begin going deeper and transitioning into a relatively plain sandy sea floor. Schools of some larger fish moved and were further apart. Only one or two of the animals he had an idea of in terms of species. Some crusctaceans scuttled about in the sand, hiding as the large submersible came by. "You want to get closer?" They could bring the sub up to the surface and dive down outside of the vehicle. There might be some reefs close to where the two were headed but if Indyana's eye caught something, even for a whim Roland wouldn't mind stopping.

Golden eyes took in everything beneath the waves; every now and then, she glanced over to Roland, the faintest curve of a warm grin on her lips. When he spoke, she turned her head in his direction, nodding once. "I love the water. Being in it, close to it... my master used to train me underwater, diving and using rocks. Though this is..." her voice trailed off, became quiet, as she chuckled once.

"...Nice. I didn't know I needed a break, but I needed this."

At the mention of getting closer though, she slid another glance his way, a playful smile touching the corner of her lips. "I'm always game to swim," came her response, twisting around to face him fully. "If you don't mind; I've been dying to dive down and get a closer look since we got here. You want to go under too?" Of course, he hadn't really brought up if his armor was water-friendly or not, but she could hardly pass the opportunity to get closer!

And if she was going to be honest, she couldn't wait to show off. There were few times she was in her element, but being in the water was one of them. There was a reason why the shark was her chosen symbol, after all.

The helmeted man nodded and looked out at the water again bringing the submerssible towards the surface. "May as well." Of course he was going to go in. Indyana had said it, this was a much needed break and 'not knowing they needed one' was part of the problem sometimes. "Hmmm..." The sub rocked on the surface of the glinting waters. Roland's eyes contemplated removing armor plates or if he should just try to deal with the heavy set of armor. After a moment, the leg armor was set aside and he began removing other plates "Hopefully the local waters aren't blaster infested.." He joked. There was no need for his cloak either, which he set with the stacked armored plates. Walking along the ocean floor probably wouldn't be as much fun for the two of them if Indyana was going to be swimming circles around him.

Taking plates of his armor off would take a minute. But he kept looking over towards Indyana and staring at her tattoos. Roland was curious about them, or rather, he was curious about her. Each tattoo was a part of the woman and a sign of her history and herself as a person.

"This goes...there." It was mostly a bodyglove and the underlayer of his armor. The plates removed revealed a little more of his natural physique. "Sorry for the wait. There, now I'm ready." The diving equipment wasn't meant to integrate with mandalorian, but rather just be worn. There were some simple flippers for swimming as well which the Captain grabbed and replaced his boots with them.

She couldn't help the beaming grin at his wanting to join her; it was stupidly happy, and so she turned her head away, watching as they breached surface. Soon as the top opened she was climbing out. Behind them was the land, the docks, further away than she anticipated. Far ahead was the deep blue, and she wouldn't deny there was a thrill of excitement just seeing the ocean. Same as it did every time, she felt charged, connected when in the water. Her senses were clearer, her soul light.

However, she could feel Roland glance at her occasionally as she prepped herself and tried hard to not stare back. Slipping on the flippers and dangling her legs over the edge into the water, she glanced over at Roland, and felt her own face flush. Even though it was literally just removing the plates and cloak, lips parted slightly... and then she chuckled once, sliding a hand over her hair to one shoulder.
"It's okay. Last one to the bottom is krayt bait," she teased and, slipping the aquata breather from her belt into her mouth, slipped into the warm water with an easy grace.

"Oh well...in that case..." He looked at the stacked plates, ironically knowing they could have probably helped him sink faster. But he simply fell over the side in a simple diving maneuver. Bubbles and tendrils of disturbed water whirled in front of his vision for a moment.

Kicking his flippered feet, Roland slowed his descent to actually see what was around him for a moment. His date was definitely more adept in the water. Rolling his body so his head was facing towards the sea floor he began kicking and see just how well he would stack up against the more elegant swimming partner. The Mandalorian did have plenty of practice with the weightless of zero gravity, it wasn't too difficult to adjust. However, it was still pretty strange and he focused on trying to get to the sandy depths.

Bubbles left a rising trail behind him as he sped downward with the subtle building of pressure at each passing moment. Underneath his helmet, Roland smiled, remembering playing hide and seek and running with friends as a kid. The controlled breathing was different when he had a pleased grin on his face. Once he reached the floor and looked up, expecting to see Indyana waiting for him with a cheeky expression most likely.

It was a bit hard to smile around the rebreather, but she managed a little bit, golden eyes glinting. In the bluing of the water, it was a bit hard to see the darkness of Roland's outline, but even with her lack of empathetic sense in the Force, she could sense that he was enjoying himself as well. She loved being in the water. The currents, the life that showed off a riot of colors, the light from above glinting in that certain way.

The moment Roland lowered enough, she darted out in front of him, long violet hair still tied back in its' ponytail. Even in the watery light he would see the tattoo of the sharks, and then other patterns of a similar geometric lining around her collarbone, her wrists and ankles. But instead of swimming ahead, she floated alongside, kicking lazily to keep in place, before linking her hand with his and giving a slight tug towards the reef, angling her head.

She knew they had a limited capacity for oxygen, and wanted him to enjoy the sights as much as she did. Besides, first rule of diving was to not do it alone. Besides, she wasn't in any hurry to go anywhere. This was their time off. It was... nice that he also wanted to spend time with her on his time off. It was still surprising that he wanted to spend it with her. She'd try not to read too much into it.
