The system was home, some 4,000 years before the Galactic Civil War, to fierce masked warrior clans led by the mysterious warlord Mandalore. The clans, made up of deadly but honorable crusaders, rode semiintelligent Basilisk war droids, boasted cutting-edge weaponry, and were considered the best fighters in the galaxy. Th mask and title of Mandalore belonged to no single individual but were traditionally passed down from one warrior to the next on the leader's death.

During the Sith War, the Mandalorians conquered the Kuar System and struck at the neighboring Empress Teta System, forcing the Tetan leader Ulic Qel-Droma to battle Mandalore in one-on-one combat. Mandalore was defeated, and he swore his armies' allegiance to Qel-Droma and the forces of the mystical Krath sect. The warlord was made Qel-Droma's war commander, and his clans won many victories. At the close of the Sith War, however, Mandalore's armies were defeated in their attempt to capture the planet Onderon. Mandalore and his surviving warriors were forced to flee to the Dxun Moon, where Mandalore was killed by a pair of the moon's deadly beasts; a new warrior donned his mask and assumed his title.

The Mandalorians were aware that the Republic was in a weakened state and began conquering small, Outer Rim worlds, They carefully chose targets outside of the Republic's jurisdiction. With the memory of the war with Exar Kun still fresh in the minds of the Republic, the Senate chose not to intervene and the Jedi Council agreed. No Jedi were dispatched to deal with what was still an unknown Force. As long as the Mandalorians did not attack planets that were member worlds, the Republic military would not retaliate.
After thirteen years of conquering worlds and stockpiling the resources from those worlds, the Mandalorians prepared for a massive assault. When they struck, they launched simultaneous attacks in three separate sectors of Republic space. Thee Republic had no choice but to send their entire fleet to defend against the invasion. The Mandalorian Wars had begun.
The Republic petitioned the Jedi Council for aid, but there were many factors to consider before the Order allowed themselves to be drawn into another conflict. The Jedi Council preached patience for over two years. Some Jedi Knights and Masters chose to join the Republic fleet battling the Mandalorians, but others stayed true to their duties, training the next generation of Jedi students as they always had.
During those two years, the Mandalorians won several key victories, capturing many worlds among the Colonies and Inner Rim. Mandalore prepared for the stab into the heart of the Republic - the assault of the Core worlds. By now, however, Many jedi knights under the leadership of revan and malak entered the war, revan was a master of the battlefield and out manuvered the mandalorians at every turn along with his friend malek they drove back the mandalorian across the galaxy all the way back the outer rim, finnialy at the world of malacor 5 revan set a trap for the mandalorians, he used a fleet filled with jedi and soliders whose loyalty to him where in question to draw the mandalorian fleet to malacor 5, once the fighting reached it's most intense he used the mass shadow generater to destroy malacor 5 destroying much of the mandalorian fleet.

After the terrible battle the Mandalorians surrendered unconditionally. The Mandalorian clans scattered across the Outer Rim, many returning to their homeworlds, while many others sought work as mercenaries. The galaxy still fears these fierce warriors and many crimelords gain near-instant infamy by having one or more Mandalorian mercenaries enforcing for them. The mandalorians have tried to rise agina several times after there defeat but this is the first time that they have the strength to challenge the republic again.

This is a brief over look of recent mandalorian history.
