Newsletter Edition 1.0

Now that the new timeline has begun, it's time to get down to business! There are a LOT of things to go over and you will need to be patient with us as we go through applications for the first flood of recruits. Make sure you read all the write ups so you're up to date as we will be basing a lot of what we accept for characters on the spirit of what is there. Another important thing you may be looking for are missions and the like. You will find a separate post with those but I will go over them a bit here as well. Periodically we will receive holo-briefings from Jedi Lord Bau Zo with war updates and important announcements. Lastly for this newsletter, I would like to introduce the Jedi leadership, including our AFLs!
Missions
The first set of "missions" will be three-fold for us. The classic mission packs will still exist and one is ready to go. We're starting pretty hot but remember this isn't a full out war quite yet. For now we are scouting the northern reaches to investigate. It's been 100 years of relative peace so remember this in your writing. This first mission pack will be based around Felucia, Ossus, and Rhen Var. Read up in the mission directory for more information on these assignments.
The Tython Clash Tournament is coming soon! Jedi Knights are gathering from all around to participate in the Jedi Lord's tournament. A challenge has been offered for Knights to step up and help destroy the Sith once and for all. The Tython Clash is a test of skill to see who will make the cut for this grand undertaking. Before you panic, I must let you know that participation is not mandatory and losing a fight does not mean you can't become a Knight. We have a sign up posted alongside this newsletter for those who wish to enter the brackets. To keep things orderly we do have a limited number of slots so sign up early!
Open conflict threads are coming sooner than you might think. Within the first set of mission packs you will find a few that require an "open" tag. These should have an experienced writer to help lead the charge but otherwise feel free to sign up and jump into the fray. This is also a good time to remind you that the Sith will be doing something similar with their own open threads. What does this mean? Jump in and be the resistance! As long as it makes sense and you are not derailing, you are welcome to be part of that story (As they will do the same to ours, so be aware!).
Leadership
As Jedi Lord, I will serve you as I will the Force - for the sake of preserving the Light and quelling the Dark. Of course it would be impossible for me to manage all of this alone, so please welcome your first Jedi Generals into the fold! See any of us if you have questions, concerns, ideas, or hate mail.
