THE VERSE!

A catchy little jingle would play signaling the show was back on the air after a commercial break. Sitting in the main seat was a lovely Chiss woman wearing the most fashionable of clothing. She was one of the most iconic morning show hosts throughout the holonet. There were those who of course didn't watch, but those that did loved the voice of El'len De'gen'E'Ris. Any celebrity who was anybody appeared on her show at some point. Today a very special guest would be given the spotlight.

"Welcome back, folks this is The Verse! My next guest today is here to talk about her newest adventures. You may know her from the hit series "I'm In Love With A Human," please welcome...Valerie Black!"

The crowd clapped as a young woman with black hair stepped on stage. Today was an exciting day for Valerie Black. Back before the collapse of the Republic, Valerie had been a rather famous model while also being known for her starring role on a teen drama series. But never before had she been in feature films so this was a huge breakthrough for her. Plus, after five years of being nonexistent in social media, it was a rather tasty subject for the gossipers out there. And what better place to give her exclusive than "The Verse!"?

She was wearing a leopard print top with black leggings. Her hair she liked to keep a sort of styled messy look to it which worked well with the top because of the ruffles in the front of the shirt. Her face lit up in a smile seeing all the fans who shouted to her and gave their support. Many of the girls in the audience grew up watching her on the holonet flicks. Many of them wished to be her. Being back here in the public eye was something she had to get used to again. For the past five years she'd been at war in the hands of the Jedi. Valerie felt like she was always on the defensive. Here today, she didn't even have her lightsaber. No one knew she was a Sith warrior.

"Valerie, welcome!" El'len said as Valerie took her seat beside her. "So tell us, what's been going on with you?"

Valerie smiled and looked out to the crowd as the applause began to die down. "Well it's been an exciting few years, El'len. I had to take some time to myself."

"Right you've been off the grid for over five years now. What can you tell us about that? Give us some insight."

"Well, I can't really talk about it." A slight blush started to come over her face as the embarrassment sunk in. She'd practiced these questions and came up with educated answers. And all of that went right out the window. The crowd started to get quiet as they began to pick up on her anxieties. "Well...um...ok. So. We all remember that night at the photo studio."

"-Right! when those Hutt gangsters tried to kidnap the models. What really happened that night..." She leaned in close, really wanting to get the juicy details.

"I used the Force." She let that sink in. "I'm a Force sensitive."

El'len sat back up in her chair again, "So Valerie aren't you worried that the Empire might wish to recruit you?"

"I was at first," she admitted. "But I made a deal with one of their Templars. It's actually a complicated story and I seriously can't talk about it. But what I can say is this. After the accident the Republic, before it fell, held a trial for me. Well, a sort of trial. I mean it wasn't official or anything. They deemed that I acted in self defense and I wasn't to be accused of anything. However, they felt I needed training."

El'len cut her off again, "-So you admit you were trained by the Jedi then?"

A hush fell over the crowd again.

"I never actually received any training." She said it so matter of factly...just like she practiced. It was a bold faced lie. "Soon after departing from Republic space we were intercepted by the Empire. The Sith Templar who found me salvaged the situation and we struck a deal. I can't go into details, but they assured me I could live out my life."

This conversation wasn't seeming to go anywhere since Valerie seemed committed to keeping things close to the chest. So she switched to her next topic to keep the audience interested. "How about we talk about the now. We know you're going to be in a hit movie coming out next year. What's it about?"

"Ok this I'm actually really excited about." Valerie had taken an audible sigh as El'len moved their conversation forward. "The movie is going to be based on a true story, "A Life and Rise of Adava" I'll be playing the part of Darth Adava during her adulthood up to when she becomes the Grand Inquisitor." The crowd seemed to get interested in this.

"So how did you get the part? After all these years?"

"Well I reached out to some of my contacts. And as everybody knows, the rumors of me being Force sensitive were actually a perfect fit for cinema. I'll be able to do all my own stunts and powers and things so nothing will be studio edited."

"That sounds great doesn't it folks! Ok Valerie, one more question. We heard there's going to be a special cameo from Darth Adava herself. Can you confirm this."

Valerie had a rather cheeky look on her face as she looked to the audience and then back to her host. "Well we haven't actually started filming yet, so it's entirely a possibility. But....I heard the producers were going to ask her to be Adava's mother."

The crowd started to cheer and El'len waved at the cameras, "You heard it here, folks! Be sure to catch Valerie Black in her new film coming out next year! A Life and Rise of Adava! We're gonna take a quick break and be right back!"

The cameras panned out as El'len shook hands with Valerie and waved her off staged....

Virion had been flipping round holonet channels from his personal quarters aboard his ship, Cold Harbor. He and another member of the Inquisition were on their way to Dominion space. Hand picked by the Emperor himself for a mission on the planet of Dathomir. He was hardly paying attention to the broadcast until he heard the sound of his sister's voice and the camera switch to her image.

His jaw dropped as his sister started to pour her life story out over live holovision, her force sensitivity, the Jedi, "THE TEMPLAR". By the force, why in the verse did she bother to make up a stage name for herself if she was going to all but admit she was a Sith, and that she had be reclaimed by a Templar from the Jedi. Virion grunted with irritation and face palmed himself while mumbling profanities into his hand and arm. To top it all off she was starting in a movie about the Grand Inquisitor, something that would likely be a propaganda film to recruit more force users to the Order or the Inquisition. Much like that which helped him to discover his own faith in the Dark Side.

He gave a sigh and shook his head at the 3D image of his sister, then shrugged and changed the channel to the channel to the latest Versper Almec video.
