Ahch-To, Neutral Space, 1430 Hours

Dimetri was coming to this planet looking to construct some Jedi Temples, but he wanted to speak with the locals and see if they accepted the Jedi presence and influence spread on the planet. So he was headed to Caretaker Village. Along with him were fellow Jedi adept in diplomacy and engineering. This was their chance to establish a safe haven and a place away from the main body of the Galaxy to practice their beliefs.

Arriving he wore diplomatic robes and would make his way to the townsfolk. Any other Jedi coming with him would be given the chance to create a good relationship with the villagers.
"Excuse me! Sorry to intrude your work," Dimetri said to the local that was farming, "but could you point me in the direction of the leader of this village? I want to speak to him about a proposition." The local nodded and point toward a slightly larger hut than the rest in the village. "Thank you kindly." Dimetri would bow and then hand over a few credits to make up for the trouble he gave the farmer.

Now it was time to speak to the leader. However this went down was up to them. Dimetri was here to offer not demand. The Jedi show compassion to others and they always give respect where it is due. This planet holds so much history and would be a morale booster for the Jedi who come here seeking knowledge.
"Before we meet the leader any questions from our own?"

Ariving with @Dimetri Unduli, Sybella found the planet of Ahch-To to be quite stunning; she immediately recognised its potential, especially since the world was so spiritually significant. If records were to be believed, it already possessed a rich legacy with the Jedi and their teachings. The planet's isolation and natural beauty made it a perfect sanctuary for those seeking solitude and connection with the Force; with a majority of the world covered in rocky cliffs, lush greenery often bled into vast oceans. There were also noticeable stone structures. Given that the climate of Ahch-To was often stormy, Sybella chose to dress in her usual garbs. Her multicoloured layers protected her from the spray of turbulent seas and frequent rainfall till they travelled more inland.

There was one question playing on Sybella's mind. "If I'm not mistaken, the Order previously had ties here. Do we know why our Jedi predecessors left?" If the error lay with them, then perhaps the knights could avoid making the same mistakes.

More than likely it was a simple matter. Once the Jedi were able to expand, they might have moved onto other planets. Given Ahch-To natural seclusion, maybe they felt it was too remote. Pondering this, the Serennian noted a peculiar cluster of creatures. They belonged to the indigenous wildlife; if Sybella had to guess, she'd think the animals were avian. The locals referred to them as porgs due to their small, puffin-like shapes; the creatures also possessed expressive round eyes and squawking voices.

Dimetri turned to Sybella who had asked why the Jedi left originally, and to be honest he hadn't an answer. He knew the war was one they were struggling in when the Sith had control of the Empire. Though now that the Sith have been exiled from the Empire, it seemed they were splitting their focus, leaving the Jedi much more openings and opportunities to reclaim what was once the places they defended.

"If I had to guess, I would say the Sith drove us away with the war. But we are here now, to help grow this economy and defend the natives of this planet." Dimetri would nod once and turn back to begin walking towards the village. "We must become what we once were. Protectors, and keepers of the Peace."

The Mirialan would be greeted by who seemed to be the leader.
"Welcome Jedi. What brings you way out here?" Dimetri simply looked to the leader and smiled, "Well we wanted to speak with you about something. We would like to help Ahch-To in every way we can. Our absence has been unfortunate but we return to show we will always be there for those in need."

@Dimetri Unduli words resonated strongly with Sybella and in more ways than once. The Sith had occupied her homeworld for over a decade, essentially making her an heiress in exile. Luckily, Serenno had regained its independence and the knight couldn't have been happier. What's more, the Mirialan was right. The Jedi Order had gone through many phases; it was time for them to return to their more benevolent roots.

Their presence amongst the village had drawn a crowd; that was to be expected and Sybella adopted her usual geniality, waving to some of the youngsters who seemed amazed by her robes and their colourful spectrum. Dark clouds of smoke, far off in the distance, drew her attention, however. Dotting across the planet's vast expanse were oceans; situated in and amongst them was a volcanic island archipelagos. Years of minor eruptions had formed masses of black rock and the soil was so fertile, it supported small plots of flora. Still, Sybella wondered how stable those mountains of magma were. Did the locals monitor them, in case the worse should happen at one triggers a chain of others? With a subtle nudge, Sybella expressed as much to Dimitri.

Apparently, the inhabitants of Ahch-To were facing a number of other issues. A rather large pallaskean was making a nuisance of itself. Usually, the serpent-like creatures of the sea were placid; one in particular, however, was acting with great hostility, going so far as attack numerous fishing vessels. The locals didn't know what had caused such aggression, but it was greatly hampering their oceanic foraging. In addition to that, a usual amount of heavy rainfall had caused a mudslide in the nearby area. Despite attempts to fortify the earth, the ground continued to collapse in on itself, burying some vital equipment.

Looking at the Lanais, it was clear such troubles were beyond their ken. Evolved avian stock, the small bipeds had grey skin and bird-like skinny feet. Their skin also possessed an innate water-shedding ability; at first glance, it was hard to distinguish feathers from flesh as their plumage afforded them natural oils that allowed the Lanais to withstand the intense conditions of their oceanic planet. A membrane, which closed over their eyes, enabled the small species to foster sharp underwater vision, hence their admirable ability in fishing and trawling. The salt glands, located in the place where one would usually find nasal cavities, assisted in the extraction of sea salt from their sustenance. A member of the village had offered Sybella something which looked akin to smoked fish; politely she ate it, even as her lips puckered from the intense sodium composites.

Dimetri waited for what the local leader had in mind for the Jedi to help with. "Well, we could use help with a number of things. Got a sea beast, a dangerous volcano down the way, and then there's a dangerous mudslide up the hill." Dimetri nodded to the man. He knew these were common struggles in almost the entire galaxy. With the exclusion of city worlds of course. "So if you Jedi can fix any of these issues, it'd make life easier on our side for sure."

Dimetri held out his hand and shook the local leader's hand,
"Of course." The Mirialan would turn to Sybella and cock an eyebrow, "Where do you think we should start?" This was to keep her involved as well see where her risk assessment stood. The Mirialan was training himself to become the leader the Jedi need. He knew if he could keep the word of every Jedi involved in the decisions made, it would create a unity that would be seen as unbreakable.

Sybella's brows raised a little, hearing all the issues that plagued the poor, unassuming village. Trying to deal with one challenge after another could certainly be overwhelming. Naturally, the Jedi ought to lend a helping hand. She was, however, a little surprised to hear Dimetri ask for her input. The Serennian was compliant when it came to taking orders, but seeing as the Mirialan was asking for her opinion, there was no reason to hold back

Crossing her arms, the shrouded knight began to ponder her musings aloud. "I'm rather adept with dealing with beasts; if this is a recent issue, it leads me to think something has happened to cause the creature to lash out. Also, if we want to assess that volcano, we have to first cross the waters. Can't do that if there's an angry sea beast about..."

Peering off, over her shoulder, Sybella then tried to gauge the area in which the mudslide occurred. Of course, they would need a closer look but a cursory look at the village suggested it wasn't a recent travesty. Everyone was too calm, too settled. "I assume the landslide wasn't anything fatal?"

The nodding of the villagers confirmed as much. They had been trying to expand their fields for ploughing and inadvertently triggered the slide themselves. The planet's near-constant rainfall made the earthen soil rather precarious to navigate. Luckily, no lives had been lost; their treasured equipment, however, was buried in the mud. If they wanted to continue their expansion, they would definitely need to retrieve it.

"If that's the case, I would place that last on our list of priorities. My vote? I'd go after the sea beast first." Of course, the knight was always happy to interact with animals. Whether they wished to interact with her however was a different matter. "...Exactly how big is it?"

Nearby children looked amongst themselves and then ran from one end of the village to the other, apparently in an attempt to illustrate exactly how large and lengthy the creature was.

It was enough to make Sybella blink. "...How intriguing." Looking back at Dimitri, she wondered what his thoughts on the matter were. Would he agree, or suggest something different?
