OK, here's what I'm thinking for this.
On Coruscant, or some other suitable world, a group of criminals decide that the quickest way for them to get rich is to take a whole lot of people hostage and ransom them. [Coruscant scenario] So, they mount an assault on Iceflake Inn, a popular vacation resort on Coruscant's polar ice cap.
They manage to seize control of one of the main hotel buildings of the resort, and demand to be payed off with a ludicrous sum of Credits, or else they'll start killing hostages. The Republic and Coruscant Security Force [CSF] decides that these people are Terrorists, and that they don't deal with Terrorists.
So, instead of sending in briefcases of Credits and the ship that the crooks are demanding, the CSF stall until nightfall, and then insert a small Fireteam at the outermost reach of facility. The Fireteam has orders to eliminate the terrorist threat with a minimum of civilian casualties.
Now, this Fireteam is composed of the most qualified men and women, it doesn't matter if they're CSF, Republic Military, Mercs, or Jedi Knights. For once, the Bureaucrats pulled their collective heads out of their arse and realized that lives take priority over department pride.
Naturally, this'll be a Player-Versus NPC Role-play. I'm willing to NPC the Terrorists and Mission Director, or hand it off to someone else who wants to do it. Ideally, this'll stay under five soldiers on the Fireteam, for a total of Six players involved.
So, would anyone be interested in such a RP?
Note that this doesn't have to take place at the location listed; it can occur anywhere in the Galaxy, and so is ultimately up to the people playing the Fireteam members to vote on when and where the hostage scenario will take place. [Though any location that may impact the main plot-line of the story should be avoided.]
