Carratos

The black dynamic light freighter descended upon a personal landing platform that was occupied by four guards. Jaina walked down the lowered ramp as the four armed men approached her. ''On behalf of Hereck.'' she addressed the man that seemed to be in charge. Nodding in agreement the man spoke through his helmet ''We understand ma'am, and though your codes seemed to be be in order we still need to escort you personally to meet Mr. Waldas, I hope you understand.''
''Why of course.'' she replied.

After raiding Hereck's facility and disposing of the man the young assassin was able to get inside his terminal records and find out just to what extent and with whom he had been working with. Revealing it to be Typho Waldas the head of the House Waldas Jaina went through all of their communications logs finding out that Hereck was partnered with the man directly and though he was willing to compromise Sith positions and secrets and was even in the process of negotiation regarding that he luckily was yet to leak anything compromising. The extent of Hereck's business relationship with Waldas so far seemed to be him providing more resources and funding the scientist's work as well as several 'test subjects' while Waldas would be granted first successful prototypes of all of his creations. It seemed it was a starting point of a blossoming partnership, if Hereck was to start leaking Sith information to Waldas the man would most likely be selling the information to other sources or use it as leverage to his own advantage in numerous ways. However, none of that came to be, Hereck was dead and Jaina was personally going to look into the dealings of House Waldas.

As the speeder neared a large mansion, that quite frankly looked like someone had conjoined several mansions together gluing them with ornate tunnels and walls, the guard near the drivers seat exclaimed ''We're here!'' Jaina got out of the speeder and was escorted up a large outer set of stairs. Met with two more guards that were flanking the door of the mansion another figured appeared from out of the door. A middle aged man dressed in a suit ''Hereck's envoy I assume ?'' he spoke politely. ''Yes.'' Jaina responded trying to return the apparent politeness with a makeshift smile. ''Master Typho will see you now.'' the man gestured as if he was signaling her to follow him. Making her way through the mansion's hallways the two finally made it to the end of one of them where they were met with a large ornate wooden door. The man in the suit knocked twice on it and a voice was heard from the inside. ''Come in.'' He opened the door and gestured for Jaina to go inside as she did. The room was large and wide, filled by many wooden closets in a similar style of decoration to the one on the door and was topped by a beautiful crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Two strange metallic doors were at either side of the room to it's far end and in the middle was a round table. The figure sitting in a rotating chair on the other end of the tabled turned to face Jaina. ''Pleased to meet your acquaintance.'' the Zabrak male said with a dull expression on his face.

Jaina took a seat on the opposite side of the table and tipped her head slightly ''Jaina Terris.'' she said with a smile. ''I must say I'm surprised, this is the first time Hereck contacted me in flesh, even if it is through an envoy. I've never even met the man in person.'' Typho added, his hands clenched together as his elbows rested on the table. ''Yes well the circumstances required it.'' Jaina added. ''I see. Also I was under the impression that Hereck's apprentice was a human male.'' Typho said raising a curious eyebrow. ''Aslaan was also recquired to accompany Master Hereck and though I'm a 'newer addition' to his ranks him and I go way back.'' Jaina explained with a casual smile. Typho nodded in acknowledgement a few times before speaking again ''Your leaders had summoned him from what I understand ?'' he asked wearly. ''Yes his presence was requested by our Council, though I am not sure for what exact purpose we suspect it might have something to do with them having direct need of his skills, that or a mission of some sorts since Aslaan was also instructed to come.'' Jaina's story was well practiced and fabricated and the woman executed it as if she was speaking undeniable truths.

''We felt that it might have happened at a good time, it's a solid opportunity for him to see if there are any suspicions regarding his activity and quench them if necessary.'' ''I agree. So what was the exact nature of what we need to discuss here ?'' he asked getting quickly to the point. ''This meeting will serve as defacto negotiations mentioned in your last conversation.'' Jaina had a good inside to their dealings due to the abundance of holovids of their communication saved on Hereck's terminal. ''As already noted we would like to know the resources at your disposal as well as negotiate a firm extraction plan and a new working facility in case of anything going wrong and the Sith decide to terminate Master Hereck.'' The light on one of the devices on the table blinked a few times and Typho pressed a button next to it which brought up a hologram of the man in the suit from before. ''Just a reminder sir, you are to meet with the generals in about 30 minutes.'' Typho terminated the hologram before speaking again ''Very well then. Since our negotiations are going to last for several hours if we account for all the details we need to get over I suggest we move this to later this evening.'' Jaina nodded in agreement realizing he had other matter to attend to. ''Feel free to use any of the outside gardens to relax before my staff prepares a room for you.'' Typho said as he got up from his chair. Jaina did so as well and with a slight bow addressed the man's generosity ''How very kind of you.'' before leaving the room.

So the stage was being set, after learning the intricacies of Typho's organisation she would leak fake information about the Sith operations and eventually lead him to his demise, the knowledge of his organisation's resources possibly being used to their advantage too. Jaina barely contained a grin as she made her way onto the beautiful spreading gardens. It seemed to be a common area as many of the other members of the organisation were spending some time here, drinking and chatting. She couldn't help but notice a number of these people eye her with visible disgust. One such group of three man stood only several meters from her as she rested her elbows on one of the concrete fences that looked away further into the garden. The three men seemed to be speaking among each other while still staring at the Sith. She eyed them back barely holding back the burning intensity in her eyes when she noticed another man approaching. He was an older human, probably late 40's and he had a thick mustache on his face. The man waved at the three previous man in dismissal and the three turned and walked away which made Jaina raise a curious eyebrow at him.

''Probably wondering what that was about huh ?'' the man spoke. Eyeing him with a dull expression on her face Jaina replied ''Only because I'm too bored that such things manage to even slightly catch my interest.'' He found no amusement in her words as his expression remained serious ''Vidarr Waldas, and may I know your name, Hereck's envoy ?'' he asked. Jaina turned to face the man now actually somewhat interested after hearing the man's name. His surname meant that he was one of the Waldas family members and directly related to Typho which confused her for a moment expecting the Waldas family to be Zabrakian. ''Jaina Terris.'' she replied not bothering to ask how he knew that she was coming on Hereck's behalf.

Vidarr Waldas of the House Waldas
Adoptive brother to Typho Waldas
Seeing that he had gotten some of her attention Vidarr wrongly assumed that it was due to him knowing her being Herreck's envoy. ''Don't look so surprised, many know you're here on behalf of Hereck, we don't deal with any other Sith, and that's precisely why you were getting those looks from before.'' Jaina didn't bother to correct him on his incorrect assumption as she was confused by what the man was implying ''From what I understand your head Typho and Hereck got into a willing partnership... Is there something I'm not aware of ?'' for the first time the man laughed, though slightly and ironically ''A lot.. probably. Not everyone here shares Typho's views even if they're willing to follow him. Many believe that what he's doing will bring about House Waldas's undoing and advised it to be extremely unwise, yet he refused to listen.'' Vidarr explained, his last sentence echoing bitterness. ''How so ?'' Jaina reluctantly asked squinting her eyes not fully believing his words. ''In many ways, some of which I'm not inclined to discuss with you. First of all he's relying on betrayal of a fully prepared Force sect of killers and deceivers, risking bringing upon the wrath of the entire Sith upon the family in exchange for some measly gains ? Not to mention the fact that there could have been many things done regarding the positioning of our organisation in these turbulent times for our general betterment, even with the Sith.'' Jaina eyed the man and gently probed him with the Force, only to pierce the veil of his thoughts and see if there was any truth to his words and found out that everything that Vidarr spoke of so far was completely truthful.

Jaina looked away to her side eyeing the wide spreading garden before them with a smugish smirk as she refuted what Vidarr was saying. ''So you're saying that your faction is split up over their leader's next choice of action ?'' Vidarr pondered for a second before answering but swiftly changed the subject to that of his interest ''Something like that. And what of you ? You are fully aware that what Hereck's doing is treason to your own Order ? Are you truly content with betraying your own ways and people ?'' he asked raising a suspicious eyebrow. Before Jaina had a chance to answer him, if she even planned to, the two were interrupted by a Twi'lek maid approaching the two ''Pardon the interruption Mr Vidarr, but our guest's room is ready.'' she said with a humbled bow of her head.

Jaina backed away from the fence she was leaning on and towards the staircase the Twi'lek made had come over from ''Great, I could use some alone time.'' she turned back to address Vidarr ''Perhaps we can continue our talk some other time.'' she said as she made her way up the staircase, following the maid to her room. A couple of ideas were springing through Jaina's thoughts. Vidarr was an influential figure within the House Waldas, judging by how he dismissed the three men from before and how the maid was addressing him most likely Typho's brother or a close relative. If what he was saying was indeed true it meant that him and a number of others from the organisation would much rather work with the Sith or remain out of the entire conflict, anything rather than to get on the Order's bad side. She pondered how good of an ally and an asset they could be but pulling such a sudden and intricate change of plans with so little information was incredibly risky if not outright dumb. As good of an opportunity this might have been she was still gonna stick to her initial plan for the House Waldas.

The maid escorted her to her room which was of a wide and heavily decorated interior, a king sized bed laying to the side and yet still not even occupying a quarter of the room. On the far end of it was a balcony with almost the same width as the room itself and looking down onto the gardens bellow. The maid left Jaina on her own and the Sith woman made her way onto the giant bed, taking a seat on it. She wondered how long she'd actually have to wait before the negotiations with Typho started.

A few hours have passed and the sun had started to set when the same maid that escorted her to the room knocked on the door in order to announce the incoming meeting with the head of the House. Jaina sprung to her feet of the bed and followed the Twi'lek to the same room she had first met Typho in. ''Ah yes, sorry for keeping you wait, there were other matters I had to take care of and I didn't want anything interrupting our negotiations.'' Typho said as he turned from the window he was gazing through to face Jaina, his arms held behind his back. ''It's no problem, I fully understand.'' she said as Typho smiled and gestured at the chair ''Please take a seat.'' Jaina sat down making herself comfortable in the chair, resting an elbow on one of the wide armrests ''So where would you like to start ?'' she asked wanting to get straight to the point yet making sure it didn't sound impatient or rushed. Typho slowly took a seat in his own rotating chair and spoke as he did so ''Well perhaps I should start with the House Waldo's side of the deal since you're our guest.'' he said with a smile as he was finally fully seated in the chair and then...

Jaina's body cramped and seized up as a sudden surge of electrical energy went through her entire being. It felt as if the shock was coming from the back of her neck, protruding inside with a sharp pain and spreading through the entirety of the body quicker than she could even realize. Her head snapped back, her eyes almost rolling in the back of her head as her body was being shocked. The last thing she saw was Typho Waldas, sitting in his now signature way with both elbows resting on the table and his hands crossed. There was a look of indifference on the calm Zabrak's face as she barely got a look of him while her body arched in pain.

And then...

There was just darkness...

As her consciousness was coming back to her Jaina cursed herself within her mind for her own shortsightedness. She was so pleased with her self, so certain of her plan and deception that she never for a second considered that she could be the one to get played. Even failing to sense the danger when entering Typho's office due to her own hubris. The darkened veil was slowly being lifted off her eyes, now she was starting to see even if everything was a blur. It took a couple of more seconds before her vision could start making out the shapes around her and her ears started actually detecting sound instead of it being just muffled noise. She found herself slumped over and on her knees. Both of her arms were locked together by some sort of thick electronic device that resembled handcuffs and one similar device was locked around her neck.

''Finally regaining consciousness, didn't take her that long after all eh ?'' she heard a familiar voice - Typho! ''Sir I advise you not to come any closer.'' another voice spoke, sounding a bit muffled as if it was speaking from under a helmet. ''I know know Typho replied.''

Jaina looked up still groggy from the shock to see herself on the ground and inside of sort of a holding cell. On the other side of the cell door stood none other than Typho Waldas, one hand in his pocket and a casual look on his face that didn't give out any sign of concern. Next to him was an armed guard, similarly dressed as the men that greeted her when she first arrived on the planet and holding a remote of some sort in his hand. ''Make sure to shock her if she makes any sudden movements.. no scratch that - if she even shows a hint of what you might judge as her using The Force.'' Typho advised the guard which nodded in response, not taking his eyes off of Jaina for a second.
''Bold of you to assume your little scheme would work. Hereck's dead, I know...'' he said looking down on Jaina ''You didn't cover your tracks as well as you believed Sith, him and I had an emergency contact route, it was connected directly with the cybernetics inside his head. And when I tried to use it earlier today after our little meeting guess what happened... It was dead - meaning that Hereck was too. Otherwise he just ripped out half of his head for some reason...'' Typho explained.

Jaina tried to open her mouth to speak but was still slow and groggy and Typho quickly cut her off ''Now, now that's not how we're gonna do this here.'' he said waving his finger from side to side ''You will only speak when spoken to and only with short one to two word answers - preferably 'Yes' or 'No.' I am fully aware of the mind manipulation abilities you Force users seem to possess.'' Jaina held back her words for the moment simply eyeing the Zabrak though she was still to weak to even give him a proper glare of hatred.

''I doubt the interrogation would prove anything here, no matter how many times we'd shock you I still wouldn't believe a word you say. So I'm just gonna state some facts that I'm quite sure of here.'' He said as a slight smile curved on his large head. ''You're acting on the wishes of the Sith Council or whatever it's called. Hereck was exposed and they sent you to execute him and uncover the details of his betrayal... So you came here to do what ? Trick us into some trap ? Kill us all ?'' he laughed out ''Either your superiors overestimated your abilities or you did so yourself.'' Jaina knew that Typho now realized all of the fruits of his relationship with Hereck have failed and that he can no longer execute his plans that would potentially damage the Sith. Disregarding the other implications of that knowledge Jaina knew full well that Typho had no use in keeping her alive and felt the entirety of her plans collapse into dust around her. ''W-why didn't you kill me then ?'' She spoke finally and as she did the guard made a motion towards the remote device he held, only being stopped by Typho who raised a hand towards the man, signaling him to refrain from his action.

''I am a businessman and you're an asset that could be used to mend my financial losses after the failed partnership. I have a friend that runs a successful business of illegal arena fighting in some back end dessert planet. I bet he'd be willing to pay a lot of a well restrained Force user to be delivered to him.'' Typho turned to the guard ''Keep a good eye on her, all of you and shock her if she even blinks in a suspicious way.'' Then turned to his side and left down the hallway as Jaina followed the fat Zabrak with what finally started to look like burning hatred in her eyes.

Around two hours have passed since Jaina regained her consciousness. Throughout all that time she remained in the same position, slumped down to her knees with her head bowed down, only bringing it up when one of the guards would instruct her to do so suspecting she might be up to something. When she did so she made sure to made his the gaze of his visor with her own, one of a caged animal as her jaw flexed from side to side in frustration. The guards would exchange in the two passing hours but were extremely cautious when handing the remote to one another leaving no openings for the Sith to exploit.

She had gone over a million scenarios in her head and was slowly starting to think that there would be no way out of the facility as long as these restrains were on her. Perhaps she'd have better luck with the man Typho was intending to sell her to, that or she'd be in for a life time of slavery in arena fights until she finally met her end there. Suddenly the lights went out with a descending humming sound signaling failure of systems. Blaster fire could be heard from the direction of the room down the hallway. Jaina's restrains clicked open and fell off her body and to the ground. Instantly the Sith sprang to life. Extending a hand towards the guard at the other side of the cell door. The man was sent flying with a tremendous force and knocked backfirst into a wall behind him. Keeping her arm extended, and the guard pinned the the wall she waved a slapping motion with her other hand snapping the man's neck to the side and breaking it as his limbs went limp.

Finally getting to her feet Jaina kicked the cell door slightly with the tip of foot, the door indeed sliding and opening as she suspected. She extended a hand towards the downed body of the guard and brought his blaster pistol to her. Taking a knee Jaina crouched and leaned over the side of the cell peering to the hallway. Another guard was rushing towards her position, blaster rifle aimed chest high but was stopped before he could bring the rifle down to Jaina's lowered position. Firing four rounds of blaster bolts the guard's light armor was pierced and the man hit the ground falling backwards. Showing no signs of life she continued down the hallway noticing that she was indeed alone in this cell block. Arriving at the room at the end of the hallway she found it to be empty but could still hear blaster shots from farther away into the facility. She made her way towards the sounds coming at the entrance of a wide control room. She saw one of the guards fall over as a blaster bolt hit him in the chest before the shooter was revealed.

Holding the blaster pistol forward aiming at the room the shooter came to sight and it was none other than Vidarr Waldas. She lowered the pistol slightly as the man raised both of his hands in the air signaling he meant no harm. Slowly approaching the insides of the room she found four more armed men seemingly in Vidarr's company. ''Good you're alive!'' Jaina looked at him with a confused look on her face ''After Typho found out you're not who you claimed to be he only notified the inner family circle. You're not Hereck's envoy! You're not a traitor like him.'' He said with an almost happy expression on his face. ''Why kill your own men to get me out of here ?'' Jaina asked still confused and suspecting some larger deception at work here.

Vidarr tried his best to explain his reasoning as short as he could ''The organisation is already divided, like I told you many don't agree with what Typho's doing and fear the reprecusions. When I found out you're not working for Hereck but instead directly for the Sith I couldn't risk having you executed or whatever at Typho's hands.'' She studied his face as he spoke ''Typho's ploy failed, the Sith know about it and even if he gets rid off you that won't stop them from retaliating against the House. I'd rather have the House be on good terms with the Sith then have their wrath descend upon us and after finding out you're not Hereck's we finally have a way of communing with them directly.''

Jaina knew the man was saying the truth, it fit well together with what he was saying when they first met and back then he was still thinking she was a traitor like Hereck. It made sense, if the organization was divided on Typho's decisions to use this as an opportunity to finally do something about it. Two more men came out of a different corridor than she did and were dragging a cuffed Rodian with them ''Who's this ?'' she asked eyeing the Rodian. ''That's our cover up.'' Vidarr said looking satisfied with himself ''Recently there has been a resurgence of civilian groups not quite pleased with House Waldas's activity on Carratos. They tried to band together and sabotage our organization here and there but were mostly amateurs. Only one of their attacks was semi successful and it was a cybernetic attack on some of the systems on one of our outposts.'' He waved a hand in the direction of the cuffed Rodian ''This is the hacker responsible for the brunt of that operation.'' Jaina's face slightly relaxed as she realized where this was going and that Vidarr had indeed planned it out carefully. ''We've already cut the camera feed inside and around the facility and we'll take the Rodian with us. That way it will look like his own people came to save him, another one of their hackers cut the cameras, and you escaped in the ensuing chaos.'' he explained.

Finally sure of the meticulousness of Vidarr's plan Jaina was much more willing to get on board with it, not that she had much choice quite frankly. ''My lightsaber...'' she spoke realizing that she wasn't willing to leave the place and get with Vidarr's group without her main weapon. Vidarr signaled to one of the men in the back snapping his fingers. The man came over and held out his hand which held the hilt of Jaina's double bladed lightsaber. ''We recovered it from the holdings section.'' Jaina glanced over her weapon and reached out an arm for it. Grabbing it she felt as she was suddenly and finally back in the control of the entire situation at hand, not merely because she once again held the weapon but because at that moment everything started to settle in and stick together in her mind. As her initial plan failed and ended with almost fatal consequences another, more fruitful, opportunity had appeared. From everything she has seen and heard Vidarr clearly wanted to partner with the Sith rather than antagonize them as Typho and he was planning to seize control of the House making it all so more possible. She smiled slightly as she took her weapon out of the man's hand feeling at peace and once again in control, trusting that the Dark Side indeed favored her.

The group of about 12 men lead by Vidarr evacuated the holding facility along with Jaina. They got into two unmarked transport vehicles with Jaina and Vidarr along with 5 more men in one while the rest and the Rodian occupied the other. She stood at the corner of the cargo space while the rest of the group was seated down on both ends. She noticed that among the group were the three men that gave her hateful looks while she was at the House Waldas mansion's garden. ''You're planning tousurp him.'' Jaina said addressing Vidarr with a mock tone that made it sound as if she was just realizing the fact. Vidarr didn't speak back for a moment and kept his eyes down as the rest of the group almost unanimously glanced at him. ''He has become deluded.'' he finally spoke still keeping his gaze down. ''He's way too blinded by greed and his own ambitions that he can't see the immediate danger he's putting everyone in with his actions.'' He finally looked at Jaina in the corner ''Most of the people know that and I'm willing to argue that even the ones who support him are somewhat aware of it but decide to blindly follow their leader's course. Before we couldn't do much, Typho's hard headed and nothing me or anyone else in the family said or did didn't get through to him... But now.. When you showed up.. actually when I found out you weren't Hereck's envoy everything change. We finally have a real opportunity to do something and stop the coming demise of our own family and organization.'' Vidarr said, his words passionate as always and his eyes sparking up a bit towards the end.

''What do you plan to do ?'' she asked bluntly though her voice was calm. She considered emphasizing that for Vidarr's plan to work Typho most likely had to die but refrained from doing so choosing instead to let Vidarr himself admit the fact. The two were relatives and though she had no idea of their actual relationship she didn't want to risk emotions and ties getting in the way at some crucial moment. ''I-If Typho is out of the picture...'' the man solemnly spoke up once again gazing at the ground ''I would be the one to take over the leadership. With the thoughts of our people already divided I wouldn't have to worry about any opposition from the men to our change of plans, and the other side that supported Typho... As I said most of what's driving them is their loyalty to him even if they are aware of the danger. Without their leader the danger would become way more of a concern and they'd most likely fall in line to new directive.'' He assured her and with the rest of his men nodding to his words. Before Jaina had the chance to ask anything else Vidarr turned towards her and spoke again ''We need to lure Typho into a situation and a place where we can safely end it all, cover it up as something else and proceed with the takeover.'' Jaina raised a curious eyebrow. It sounded like he was implying that this particular part of the plan regarded her as well ''Aand you expect me to believe that you and your squadron of soldiers can't take him down at such a predicament ?'' Vidarr shook his head ''You don't understand. Hereck has given him two of those cyborgs.''

Jaina's eyes widened for a moment as Vidarr continued ''Those droid enhanced humans or whatever they are. Hereck provided him the two of them as his personal bodyguards, that's why there were two metallic doors at his office. Typho likes to keep them close and they are insanely loyal to him. Both were severely injured... amputees that were once warriors. Typho picked them up giving them a chance at a new life when he offered them as guine pigs for Hereck.'' Jaina's eyes slightly narrowed as she listened, realizing what was at hand ''After finding out that Hereck's dead and the Sith might be after him, as well as your escape, Typho won't even be willing to go to the bathroom without those two and my men can't take those monstrosities.'' Jaina curiously asked ''And you have such faith that I can ?'' with slight mock in her tone ''You certainly have better chance than us. Besides, assuming you killed Hereck I thought you might have some experience with this kind of thing.''

She stroked her chin as her gaze went down and became slightly distant, going over everything in her head. Sure there was a question of her being able to combat these cyborgs and just how strong and well equipped would they be ? She quickly dismissed them being 'two new Aslaan's', after all he was Hereck's biggest project so at best they are something bellow that level. Even assuming that she would be able to get rid of the cyborgs Jaina wondered about how exactly will they lure Typho anywhere. ''How are you gonna trick him into the trap ?'' ''I've been in charge of dealings with a certain business corporation that wanted to branch out.. so to say. In short we were working on a direct partnership with them and House Waldas that would have to be kept secret from the public eye due to the company's reputation.'' he stared to explain ''I can assure Typho that they've called for a meeting. Given the nature of the negotiations and secrecy of the company he'd be willing to believe the shady spot and terms that I'll give him.''

''With the deed done it would take a couple of weeks for me to seize full control of all House Waldas dealings and vetnures. After that we could reshape the wretched partnership with Hereck into a proper business with the Sith through you.'
' he finally finished confirming what Jaina already assumed about this whole ordeal. She took a few more moments pondering over the information shared with her before complying with Vidarr's plan ''I'm in. A wise choice Vidarr.'' she said reassuringly as the transport neared it's destination, with the man only nodding in response Jaina could swear that there was a hint of sadness in his eyes.

Jaina spent the next day and a half in an apartment on an undisclosed location. She spent most of the time there meditating and what little sleep she had gotten wasn't of any quality either. Vowing not to put her guard down once again she basically slept with 'one eye open' per say even if her concerns eventually proved unwarranted. Vidarr entered the small apartment that was essentially just a wider room as Jaina got up from her meditation to meet the man. ''It's time. Everything's been arranged.'' Vidarr said solemnly. ''What's the location you decided on ?'' she asked. ''An apartment complex that was shut down and is supposed to go under construction, we'll be meeting at the meeting hall in the basement floor. The place was used as an outpost and as a living space for the company that wants to partner with us.'' Vidarr said, explaining both the existence of a 'meeting hall' space in an apartment building as well as validating the his choice of location. It made perfect sense to have the hidden meeting with the unnamed company in one of their own closed off locations. Vidarr kept the company's name obscured due to the nature of their agreements and Jaina didn't bother to ask. The assassin smiled under her hood and nodded ''Then all is set...''

Typho and Vidarr made their way through the halls of the abandoned apartment complex followed by two figures. A male and a female both heavily covered in cybernetics. Venturing further into the building they opened a large automatic door and entered the vast room with the door closing behind them. The room used to be some sort of a meeting hall but has been vacant for a while now with only a few smaller tables scattered around it's corners. There were visible signs of a large, long circular table that occupied the middle of the hall in form of dragging scratches on the floor, most likely made when the table was brought out of the room. Seeing no one in the dimly lit room Typho's eyes narrowed in suspicion and the two cyborg body guards shared the sentiment. Motioning with an arm to their boss to stay behind them the two advanced forward into the room, their motion sensors picking up some life activity in the far, dark corner of the room. Out of the shadows emerged the Sith assassin, the one Typho had imprisoned just days earlier. Her hood covering her face and with both of her arms to the side she extended her palms and two lightsaber hilts flew from her sleeves into each of her hands.

Realizing the danger and what the current situation actually was both of the cyborgs sprung into action. The woman reached out for a blaster at her side while the man reached for his vibroblade. At the same time Jaina ignited both of lightsabers and as the female fired the man moved towards Jaina. She deflected both of the incoming bolts with a concentrated effort and purpose. Both bolts were sent back towards their shooter, one hitting the cyborg woman's chest and the other one hitting her blaster arm damaging the weapon and knocking it out of her hand. The man had already made it towards Jaina and just as she was finished deflecting the bolts she met the swings of his vibroblade with her own crimson plasma blades. Dancing around, twirling and jabbing the two exchanged blows as Typho tried to retreat through the door he came through earlier only to find it was sealed shut.

Using the benefits of her speed and twin blades Jaina managed redirect one of the male's attacks, dodge the second one and throw him off balance and struck his weapon with his other blade further off balancing him and staggering him backwards. Raising her other arm for a finishing blow her strike was stopped halfway through as if something was holding onto her blade. The cybrog woman on the other side of the room stood with an electrowhip extended and now wrapped around Jaina's right lightsaber. She yanked on the whip trying to separate Jaina from one of her weapons but the Sith was clever and swift enough to disengage her lightsaber blade, no doubt her knowledge of the Trakata principle playing a part in this on-the-spot decision. The cyborg pulled but the sudden lack of the blade made her overexert on her maneuver and she too staggered backwards as her whip came back to her.

Still the distraction itself was enough for the male to get back into the game and advance on Jaina once more. Dodging his first strike while pulling back and then flipping backwards through the air Jaina gained some distance between the two who were now standing diagonally to her sides, the male to the left and the female to the right, though the latter was a bit farther back than the former. Jaina retracted both of her blades and raised her arms up, fingers arched as if they were claws. Suddenly a cracking stream, a river of lightning poured out of the Sith's hand, engulfing the area with both it's noise and presence. Both cyborgs pulled their left hands up, tucking them closer to their chests as if guarding and energy shields formed out of their forearms. The lightning met the defensive barrier, cracking around it, bouncing off of it and more.. Jaina tried to push harder on her attack but the cyborgs stood firm, their back arched and heads tucked it made sure that none of the stray bolts would hit them and given the sturdiness of the shields Jaina didn't wanna test her own longevity against their batteries. Pulling both of her hands back the stream of lightning subsided with only a few sparks and jolts twitching around her fingers. Instantly she reactivated both of her lightsabers again...

The Sith's lightning attack subsided and the cyborgs waited a moment with their shields still up as the electrical surge of the Dark Side still lingered on their energy barriers before deactivating them. Once again the male advanced, being closer to her he had a much easier time closing the distance between him and Jaina and the woman's current choice of weaponry suggested that her preferred method might have been attacking and supporting from mid range. In any case the duo with all their equipment, enhanchments and skill seemed to pose a real threat. She charged towards the male cyborg and unleashed a flurry of crimson colored strikes as the two met. The man seemed more than capable as he was able to successfully position himself and his weapon to match the Sith's double bladed attack all the while being able to put in some strikes of his own. Jaina tried to position herself slightly to the side of the room so that the male's back would be turned to the woman cyborg effectively shutting down any attack she might unleash on her. Such a method would only work for a short time however and Jaina knew she had to do something before the two eventually ganged up on her. Deflecting a horizontal slash of his vibroblade by swatting it away with both of her lightsabers Jaina followed by a feint stab at the man's chest prompting a slight backing away by him before she herself backed significantly away towards the corner of the room.

With some 3 meters of distance between them the male once again activated the energy shield on his forearm. Tucking himself behind the barrier he ran and attempted to ram into Jaina and possibly sandwich her between himself and the wall. The simple nature of the attack did not hide it's true intention to Jaina. The male was positioned and rushing at her in such a way that the only plausable evasion was to jump over him which would undoubtedly lead her into the range of the woman who was lashing her whip to the ground all the while the two were fighting. He came in closer and Jaina propelled herself with the Force, jumping above the cyborg that rammed into a wall with it's energy shield. While she was still in mid air the female had already assessed her movement and swung the whip high, above and behind herself aiming to strike at Jaina before she even reached the ground. The Force was not present within the cyborgs, Jaina was certain of that, yet the whirling of the machines inside them as well as their weight made them hard to manhandle with basic telekinetic assaults. Choking them was also not a viable option as not only were their necks guarded by metal platings but their tracheas were also replaced by metallic tubes. A forceful choke on one of the two would only be viable if Jaina was able to effortlessly bend metal which she was not.

However direct and overpowering application of the Force was never a go to option for the Sith woman that instead relied on subtlety, precision and overall deception. As the female cyborgs hand rose Jaina, while still in mid air, extended an arm towards her reaching violently through the Force and locking the cyborg's arm in place before she even landed on the ground. The sudden stop of her weapon wielding limb made the whip strike the cyborg's back with it's full momentum. A loud electrical crack was heard followed by an array of sparks from the woman's back and accompanied by a mechanized scream of pain as the cyborg dropped to one knee. Whatever area the whip struck must have been important and potentially a weak spot that Jaina was lucky enough to unknowingly exploit with this maneuver.

She landed on both her feet, back and knees slightly bent over and instantly turned on her heels towards the male who was now rushing back at her with his vibroblade after his collision with the wall. Jaina leveraged his momentum against him, positioning both of her blades in such a way to redirect his attack sideways. Maintaining her footwork with the redirection of the attack Jaina was able to send the male more towards the almost downed female and now once again had them both in her sight, avoiding being sandwiched between the cybrogs. The male was swift with turning back towards Jaina and engaging her again, flourishing his vibroblade in diagonal swings from lower left to upper right and vice versa trying to keep both of her blades occupied. Jaina parried his advance continuously and was slightly stepping back while he pushed forward. One of his strikes coming from his side was deflected before it gained full momentum and as his hand fell back he brought it over his head, gaining new momentum as he did, for a makeshift falling avalanche move. Just as he did so Jaina extended her right arm sending a push through the Force as wide as she could that hit the cyborg on his chest and in the moment of his slight inbalance pushed him staggering back further. Setting her eyes on the female that was trying to get back to her feet Jaina threw one of lightsabers aiming to decapitate her but the cyborg was fast enough to once again raise her energy shield, deflecting the attack.

Only this time something was different... the energy shield wasn't a firm wall of transparent yellow light as it was before. It was flimsy, barely sustaining itself and the energy that made it seemed to tremble and flash as if it were giving out. Suddenly a thought crossed Jaina's mind. The flash of sparks from before when the whip hit the woman's back... It must have hit some exposed part or a joint of the battery housing for the energy shield and caused a short circuit. Pulling back with a leap instantly Jaina retracted her blades and once again extended her arms, fingers curling as she poured yet another river of Force Lightning out of hands towards the female cyborg.

Once again the lightning engulfed half of the room as it shot towards the female cyborg's raised energy shield. The stream connected violently even rocking the woman back and forth as it clashed with her barrier. The cyborg was on one knee and trying to dig herself into the ground as the lighting poured. Bouncing off of the flimsy energy shield some bolts started to dig in through it as the barrier started losing power and others were successful in going around it. Slowly the lightning started reaching the cyborg more and more. Jaina realized that this was the opportunity to take one out, the shield wouldn't hold out the lightning in it's current state and all she needed to do was get one out of the picture to deal with the other cyborg one on one. Sure the male was skilled but the reason for his surviving this long was only cause Jaina didn't have the adequate time to dispatch him with the woman interfering in their battle constantly.

As the shield was nearing it's end and the bolts that went through and around it downed the cyborg even more Jaina pressed on her attack even further wanting to end the woman's life here and now. Suddenly the male cyborg dashed in between the two and cut the lightning stream absorbing it with his own intact energy shield. He stood firmly between Jaina and his comrade catching all of the lightning before slowly trying to advance towards the Sith step by step. Jaina disengaged her lightning attack and once again reignited both of her blades. The man cautiously disengaged his shield and flourished his vibroblade slowly as the two circled around each other. Time seemed to stand still for a brief moment as each of them rushed towards the other at the same time. The man, raising his vibroblade upwards in an overhand strike with one hand and Jaina coming in low with her back arched forward and arms crossed over her torso as if she was holding herself and both blades pointed outwards. They struck at seemingly the same time but the Sith's assessment, quick reflexes and the power of the Force granting her the advantage. Bringing both of her hands out to her sides she was able to strike at the man's wrist just before his weapon descended and sever the cybernetic limb. Falling forward from the momentum of his attack he was met with a knee to the jaw from Jaina who didn't have time to strike the unarmed cyborg with one of her sabers.

He was pushed back and staggered before falling on his back from the force of the blow but the damage seemed to only have been dealt to Jaina as she felt her knee swell with pain from colliding with the metallic plating of the man's jaw. Reaching upwards with her hand in order to strike the downed cyborg Jaina suddenly came to a stop and was disbalanced as if something had pulled her from the back.

Turning over her shoulder she saw the downed female cyborg, arm extended towards Jaina and a long cord protruding from her wrist. The cyborgs mechanical hand griped firmly on Jaina's right ankle and was connected to the cyborgs arm by a thick sturdy cord that seemed to straighten itself as the mechanism pulled it back and Jaina's foot with it. Noticing his comrade's desperate attempt at help the male instantly sprung to his feet, grabbed the vibroblade from the ground with his remaining left hand and swung at Jaina. She narrowly dodged the attack rolling sideways but the second one was already coming before she could get back to her feet, the cord yanking on her foot making the attempt even harder. With not much choice Jaina continued to roll further to the side to evade the next two strikes all the while fighting the pull on her leg. The male cyborg came in for another attack but was suddenly cut short, falling to his side on one knee as he screamed out in pain.

As the cyborg fell in full view behind him stood Vidarr Waldas with a blaster rifle still smoking from it's barrel. Typho screamed at his adoptive brother with a look of horror and anger on his face as Jaina sprung to her feet not wasting a moment. As she was getting up she rotated the saber in his right hand into a reverse grip and cut off the cord that attached her foot to the other cyborg. Before the Sith even stood up to full height she threw herself towards the crouching cyborg male and stabbed her right lightsaber straight into the back of his head. The man instantly collapsed lifeless, a few sparks coming out of his facial implants as Jaina pulled her blade out. She turned towards the female cyborg who was lying on her stomach and evidently wasn't really able to move much. As Jaina walked towards her she noticed not fear but look of abject hatred on her face, all of it directed towards the Sith. Arriving close to the woman Jaina fully ignored her hateful expression and ended her life with a cut over the back of the woman's neck.

Turning back towards the two Waldas brothers Jaina eyed them both as she tried to hide or at least minimize her pants of exertion, her face fully visible as her hood fell off while she was dodging the male's strikes on the ground. She kept both of her blades ignited as she moved towards the two Waldas brothers. Vidarr stood with the blaster rifle's barrel pointed sideways and with a look of what she only could assess as sadness on his face while Typho's usually dull expression was now a mixture of fear, anger and confusion as he backed off towards the sealed door. Eyeing Vidarr as much as Typho Jaina came within a meter of the two, not fully trusting of the human Waldas. For all she knew he could fire upon her as well after she had dealt with the cyborgs and his plan could have been something different than what he shared with her. He never mentioned the blaster rifle he hid previously in this room either so Jaina was on her guard.

''W--what the hell do you think you're doing ?! Vidarr... Vidarr!! Shoot the Sith witch!'' Typho demanded trying to hold on to some measure of control he knew full well he had lost.

As Jaina cornered Typho towards the door she was inwardly concentrated on Vidarr's feelings and thoughts. The adrenaline and paranoia subsiding a bit and realizing that the thought of Vidarr's betrayal was highly unlikely given the circumstances and motivation for his action as well as the fear of the Sith Order. He stood next to her lowering the rifle to his side now held with one hand and with a look of sadness in his eyes as Typho yelled at the two but mostly at Vidarr. ''W-what the hell do you think you are doing ? Vidarr! You're betraying your family Vidarr!'' he desperately yet angerly yelled out. Concentrated more so on Vidarr than Typho and digging in ever so slightly into his mind Jaina was able to hear a few of the man's thoughts ''No... I am doing this for my family. My children, my wife.'' echoed in Vidarr's mind but in reality he offered no response to his adoptive Zabrak brother. He turned his head to the side, his gaze away from his brother and addressed Jaina ''Don't make him suffer.'' he uttered.

Typho's mouth opened in shock but no words came out at his brothers gesture. Jaina pulled her blade over the Zabrak's throat, slashing it. With a loud meaty thud Typho's lifeless body hit the ground. Vidarr took a second before looking over his dead brother's body then turned to it and walked a step towards it. Typho landed sideways and with one arm covering his face and wound which surely made it easier for Vidarr to gaze upon his now deceased brother. He stood there in silence, eyes slouched and almost beginning to tear up through his stern expression as he thought back on their childhood. Images of Typho and Vidarr as children playing in the grassy fields and running around the Waldas mansion flashing through the man's mind. Still focused on the only living Waldas brother Jaina stepped next to him and with an expression similar to his own spoke up while gazing at Typho's body. ''Hereck was the one who brought me into the Sith Order.'' she lied though her voice and words firm and compasionate as if she was truly telling a tragic truth. Vidar's head slightly turned towards Jaina. ''He was the one who found me on the streets of Nar Shadaa and saved me from a life of scum. Though I was never directly tutored under him we spent a lot of time together in the early years.'' Jaina's head lowered slightly as Vidar's eyes took on a look of intrigue ''That was before.. He was different back then, before all the droid and cybernetics stuff became an obsession.'' Vidar was finally starting to understand the woman's point ''In the end he got so deluded, so stubborn in his straying from the path that he was single handedly threatening to put the entire Order in danger. There was no changing his mind... Sometimes sacrifices have to be made no matter how hard they are upon us to ensure the greater good of either us or are loved ones... even if the sacrifice is someone dear to us.''

Jaina never gazed at Vidarr once but felt a melancholic ease wash over the man next to her as the feeling of not being alone in his troubles seeped it. With a masterful lie Jaina made a first step to putting Vidarr Waldas and the House both under her grip, fabricating trust and kinship.
