Konn

As the order from Naxa came in the Wookiee took control of the ship from the pilot droid. Things were a little rocky at first but then, a new order came from Preef. What the kark was going on in there? Konn didn’t try to take the shot, it was a pretty insane idea after all and he had to listen to his real boss over the droid. Konn continued flying the ship and watched as the cargo was dropped out of the transport. Konn was pretty surprised by this, but, it’d be fine. It’d all be fine. He thought to himself as she stayed on the rear of the transport ships his accomplices were on.

Blips starting showing up on the radar. It was time to distract and fight some vulture droids. Konn barrelled the ship to the right as the vulture droids followed. There were four vulture droids on his six as he jetted through the air. He was a shaky flier but had watched the ship droid enough to get a gist and had practiced enough in his own time. Though this’d be his first dogfight.

The Wookiee jetted through the sky, dodging the blasts from the enemy ships. Slowing the ship suddenly and shakily, the four vulture droids blasted ahead of him. Konn now had the upper hand. He locked onto the droid closest to him and begun to fire. Miss, miss, hit. Smoke billowed out of the ship in front and it swirled down from the sky. Konn then quickly got another enemy ship in his sights. He locked on to it and fired four times. All four missed. He begun to fire more. Miss, miss, miss, hit, hit. The ship exploded into a ball of flames as the remaining two vulture droids barrel rolled, allowing Konn to pass them.

Almost as soon as he jumped from the ship, she heard a loud boom, the ship rattling slightly. Uttering a low curse, she began to maneuver up, nearly clipping one of the wings against a roof as the ramp began to close, her vocabulator a deadpan drawl through her partner's comm.

"Make it fast. Vulture droids."

Three of them came streaming in, and she could see the familiar flash as they began to open fire. Maneuvering a quick clip up and away, she began to duck and dive away from oncoming fire, drawing their attention while her partner did his job. Soon the ship was airborne, and she began ducking fire, returning shots when she could.

One exploded into flames, smashing into the estate.

The other two, however, proved to be more problematic. Time was running low, they would have to skip out of here soon if their objective wasn't met. She wanted credits, not holes in her wings.

Tal could hear the explosion overhead and looked up, seeing his beauty still in one piece. Thank the gods. He would turn the corner, entering the estate.

"Enemies overhead. Leaving the capital room and moving Phoenix to platform three. We're mobile." the comm would chirp.

Tal would cut down a side hall, recalling the blueprints of the estate. Two floors down, east side of the building. He would move quickly, wanting to cut them off before they got to the landing pad. Sure the exterior would be quicker, but he would have been exposed in the open and they wanted to make as little noise on the grounds as possible. Taking the stairs two at a time, Tal would reach the right level in what he could surmise as record time. Sliding down the bannister the last twelve steps, he'd collide with a guard at the bottom of the stairs, pistol whipping him for good measure before snapping his neck. "Moving to cut off the target, make a swing for platform three." he'd speak into his partners comms.

Leaving the corpse he would duck behind a pillar, currently standing in an interior courtyard of sorts. He could hear voices, maybe six. Tucking the comm away, he'd holster the Peacemaker and unsling his DC-17. Showtime. He moved around the pillar to avoid their view as they approached and once they passed, he'd step out behind them. Snapping the rifle from left to right, he'd drop the back two guards with two bolts to the back, clipping two more in the process.

As the other two injured guards broke for cover, Tal would hit them with a quick burst of the flame thrower, silencing their screams with some gentle bolts. Up ahead, he could see the chairman and his last guard sprinting for the platform. "Consider the target acquired." he mused into the comms. Lowering the weapon his hand drifted to a side pouch and removed the sniper barrel, snapping it into place with practiced movements. He then ejected the cartridge and pocketed before replacing it with the sniper mag. He would pop back the stock before lifting the weapon. With a steadying breath, he traced the movements of the guard and squeezed the trigger. Boom.

The guard would drop as his head snapped to the side. Tal would move up five paces before bracing, this time the sniper aimed for the Chairman, who unfortunately did not have a big hat. His aim lowered and he squeezed the trigger, dropping the fleeing man with a shot to the leg. Satisfied, Tal would unclip the sniper barrel and tuck it back into its home and swap mags before he jogged to catch up with the man. "Hey pal, you're coming with me."

After hitting the droid, Preef and the crate he was holding onto slid down the ramp and began free falling just outside the ranger of the IGBC's defensive perimeter. The directory of the crates weren't too spread apart and as the rodian engaged his jetboots he gave the crate a subtle nudge to land close to another before letting go and starting his own controlled descend.

"Tacitus,-" he said over the comms, trying to find him in the air but seeing the wookiee's valiant efforts of fighting the Vulture Drones instead. "-follow me." Both Preef and Tacitus were lucky that the wookiee kept the drones' attention and the droid was still on the shuttle and thus distracting its pilot. They'd be able to descend and land in relative safety and peace.

Once on the ground, Preef immediately opened up one of the two crates he landed by and found himself looking at roughly one-hundred thousand credits. "Kriff," most of them were smaller chips and simply stuffing ones' pockets wasn't even going to be enough to catch a starliner back to the Outer Rim. "We need a speeder."

Karked – everything about the job was karked and Tacitus was already thinking of the best way to get the hell out of dodge. The best way was to get the hell off the ship so he did, throwing himself out of the ship just after Preef had done the same. He was resourceful but he was currently far better off if he was working with Preef.

There was being resourceful and then there was being the single best fighter, gunslinger and crime boss the Outer Rim had seen in decades.

“Got it boss.”

The winds played havoc with his already spotty control of the jetboots but he didn’t have to worry about being shot down and that was half the battle as far as aerial stuff was concerned, right? Landing with a short roll to absorb some of the extra momentum he had, Tac shook his head to get the dust and such off of his helmet.

Konn was dogfighting and likely not going to be any help to them at all and the only reason they weren’t already being attacked by security, as far as he could see, was that no one had noticed they’d managed to bail. Well, no one had noticed it yet but he was sure it wouldn’t last long.

A speeder?

Well… slightly less karked maybe. He started calling up someone on his comlink.

“It’s not much but I got an idea. Nero has a booty call in one of the spaceports.”
He admitted with a grunt as he looked over the haul they had managed to keep ahold of, “We sound the same over the com if there’s no holo – I’ll see if I can get her out here with her speeder. If memory serves she was a needy little thing…”

She rolled away one last time, managing to shoot off one more and shake off the second before managing a narrow rise and dip to blow off the second one.

At her partner's words, she tucked and maneuvered in for a partial landing on platform three. They were on a tight timeline, they would have to get out of dodge fast to make the rendezvous. The moment her partner would arrive with their quarry she would jet out of there, and they would meet at the agreed meeting place.

"Let's go," the deep vocabulator rumbled, with Allegra scowling in her helmet. It wouldn't be long before more vultures would do a flyby, and she didn't want any holes in a borrowed ship.

The moment they would board, Allegra would begin making her way out, bringing their quarry with them. Had to be some special bounty, maybe.

Unlike its compatriots, N4-X4 did not have jetboots. However it had alternative means of propulsion. It recalled the information it had accumulated about the Xi class shuttle. The ship continued to rise lacking its previous cargo. The pilots wanted to keep its distance from the wookiee piloted vessel as it engaged the protective droid starfighters. The droid would have found it funny if it had a sense of humor that it could still hear the communications on the shared channel still.

Moving carefully towards the door where the pilot was located, the droid produced the thermal detonator it had brought. Setting it to remote detonate the machine made sure it wouldn't come lose. The BX commando made its way towards one of the escape pods. It was going to be less than an ideal escape from the planet and authorities but no less successful.

Ejecting, the droid would wait as it counted down the microsecond and triggered the explosion. The skies were filled with clouds and vulture droids around N4-X4's hired help. With their attention occupied they wouldn't pinpoint the escape pod as the explosion tore the shuttle apart, killing the pilots that had also been a risk as witnesses. Ideally, it would make some assume the droid was dead not to mention make things 'wrap up' should forensics come along.

A delay as the escape pod used its limited engines to descend and fly below the scanner limits of the defense force. The droid would be on the ground for a bit. An escape pod was short range but would be enough for it to get to a part of the planet for a pickup.

Tal would move quick, slinging his rifle and lifting the now crying Chairmen over his shoulder. "Don't worry big guy. It won't be too bad." As his ship landed he would step onto the ramp, tossing the Chairmen into the hold. "Alright! We're good back here!" A bolt would ping his shoulder from behind and the Mandalorian would curse, unslinging his rifle and firing from the hip. No fewer than five bolts would rip through the would-be hero guard. Yeah, that one was gonna hurt a bit. Turning, his boot collided with the Chairmen's head, knocking him out.

Stepping fully aboard, he'd close the ramp from his controls on the side. "Getting on guns, just focus on the flying, yeah?" Dropping down into the gunner console, he'd shoo away her droid. "Let's blow this pop stand."

The man was testing her nerve.

She gritted her jaw, powering up and preparing to leave. The ramp began to rise, and they would soon be off to rendezvous with the mystery employer. But in the interim, they would have to lay low, avoiding the fire and ire of more vulture droids and other pursuits. An encrypted private message would be tapped out to their employer; hopefully, they would be on schedule for parcel delivery.

It was time to get paid and get off-planet as soon as possible.

Taldorak would ease into the seat. With luck, cameras would have caught sight of his ship, an odd hope. But a hope nonetheless. He needed Vraes to leave Coruscant in search of him and this was the best bet. And if not, he'd just to wreak some more havoc across the galaxy to draw his former Clansman away. Once they hit the atmo, he'd begin to clean his weapons. "Thanks for not getting her too dinged up."
