Their duel had switched into the most heated and intense phase yet where even the slightest mistake could cause your own demise. As the Sith had chosen to focus on both attacks at once, she had done exactly what should have been avoided - allowing her adversary to exploit the short moment of inattention.
Kalique was absolutely merciless in her pursuit, thus she had chosen to impale her enemy without giving her the chance to yield or to be just hurt enough to be incapacitated - she went straight for the kill. The hunter had gotten its target and the second Saber hit, however, twisted as the Sith was, she did somehow manage to rotate her body still.
The pureblood still toppled over, moments before she blacked out, so that Kalique's eyes were still narrowed, but a slight triumphant smirk crossed her lips after all. However, the lightning attack had obviously still founds its target as well, so that despite it having been nothing but a few seconds until the focus had been broken, Kalique went down on her knees in the same moment, the almost unbearable pain making her muscles twitch uncontrollably and making the short smirk fade right away.
A hiss escaped her as the darkness seemed to swirl all around her, the strain and the dark yanking at her from various directions, forcing her to crash onto her palms as well. With her head tilted upwards, she could spot the motionless Sith which was a reminder of how the sacrifice she had made had been worth it, but Kalique still had to find her way out.
A few thoughts actually crossed her mind, but she had to prioritize the core of her mission: The artifact had to be destroyed and the Sith was already on the brink of death, which was why she saw no need to drag her out with her. She took a few deep breaths and tried to swallow the pain before she pushed herself back up.
With slightly shaky knees, she stowed her lightsabers back into the bag she slung over her shoulder before she reached for the Sith sword. It was a weapon drenched in darkness and there was an undeniable pull to it, yet Kalique was trying to not let it get to her. She has to deliver it to the ISB and they'd decide what exactly to do with it, but what mattered was that she had it.
She leaned over the motionless Sith, weighting the massive sword in her hands before a scoff escaped her. Wasn't it ironic to stab her with the exact thing the Sith had been after? What a bitter sweet way to finish it. Even though her strength was running out, she raised the sword over the Sith, but right as she intended to bring it down to ensure she was really dead and would stay dead, the sinister presence that had lingered in the room earlier blasted her right out of the chamber witn full force.
She was still clutching the sword, yet the former Master was obviously not satisfied with how this fight had ended. Panting, Kalique slid to a halt, glancing all around wide-eyed as a low, deep rumble erupted from within the chamber that still had the lifeless Sith in it. The darkness was clearly palpable right as it was turning hostile, apparently wanting to drag the Knight into death as well.
As Kalique wanted to ensure the Sith was finished off, she began darting back into the direction of the chamber, but as she reached the entrance, she could already see how the ground was cracking open while the first stalactites crushed to the floor. "What the-" it escaped her breathlessly, however she was faced with a choice. The Sith would die regardless, she figured, so her top priority was escaping the raging dark presence while bringing the artifact out of any Sith's reach for the future. It had to be. With that in mind, she broke into a sprint and turned into the nearest tunnel, summoning one lightsaber once again to shed the necessary light while she left the Sith to its damn fate in the collapsing cave. She wasn't going to die with her.
