Orange looked down below to the mass of lights and ships that was the surface of Nar Shaddaa. He disliked flying here, no room for anything interesting, but he wasn't here for fun. His life had been rather dull up till recently. Even though it was interesting, he hadn't had fun in a very long time. He had been searching a week, but hadn't found a thing. Perhaps he should take a break? Not now though. The trail would get harder to pick up every passing second. He skillfully flew the ship in, landing down gently on the old landing pad. He questioned whether it would hold his weight, but even as his conscience considered it, his reflexes had landed him, and taken him outside into the hussle and bussle of the streets. He glanced around, then went into a bar. After all, he still had some underworld connections.
The bar had seen better days, and it had been far too long since he had last seen it. However the bartender looked up and brightened at the sight of Orange, and then darkened, seeing that he was alone. It was the first time in a year he had truly been alone, except for the bathroom. Both knew it was an ill-omen. Orange ordered a drink, and then spoke to the bartender, in a whispered, hurried voice.
"Have you see Renji recently?"
"No, can't say I have. Why, where is he and Matt?"
"Matt's dead, and I'm not... sure about Renij. He could be."
It pained him to remember Renji and Matt, seeing Matt's dead body, with his heart pierced. And remembering Renji's eyes was horrifying. he drank the rest of his drink, and hurried on. The bartender stared in amazement. There had been a pretty girl eying him. Last time he had seen Orange, he had flirted with every single woman in the bar, even the ones that everyone knew would slap him before he finished his sentence. Something had changed.
