The Daedalus is a large civilian ship that acts as mobile trading outpost and a community in itself, and the ship is stationed close to Hutt space, and not quite in it due to concerns with AMS. They don't need infected coming onboard their ship with the virus after all. The Daedalus is still as open as it was (with security precautions of course) and with the big Hutt Ball game going on the people onboard are watching.

Even outsiders are getting in on the fun, as the bar is already starting to fill with the game about to start. The bar is well stocked with a big variety of drinks, from the finest exotic imports to the most foul drinks to grace the galaxy.

The bar would be staffed by two Twi'lek females, twins. there would be Crisp-E-O Donut droids serving as waiters as well as coffee & donut providers. There would be exotic alien & near-human dancers of all genders on the other side and plenty of booths.

There would be plenty of view screens across the area, all displays are going to be showing live footage of the Huttball game.

OOC: Open to everyone! Socialize, mingle, and have fun!

Jack Seypka would be in a private booth in the far corner of the bar. A few dark clothed men would be sitting around the sectioned off rope by his booth as Jack had a couple big screens showing the live footage of the game about to start. His pale blue eyes focusing on the screens as he shifted his gaze over to a server that approached him. A female Zabrak would politely approach with a tray. "Hello Mr. Seypka, may I get you a beverage?" she would say sweetly as he wore his usual attire. Perking an eyebrow in thought for a minute as he finally replied. "Your finest whiskey, bottle on ice." he replied as his gaze fixiated back to the screens.

Jack had a 20,000 credit bet that the blue team would win. He was curious to see if his luck was going to be in his favour or if he was going to be out 20,000. He was good for it if he lost anyway. He would let his hand slip into his jacket past his holstered and concealed blaster and retrieve a metal cigarra case as he took it out and tapped the cigarra off the metal case and plopped it in the corner of his mouth. He would retrieve his lighter and light it as he took a long inhale before exhaling it through his nose. The ship was packed but luckily Mr. Serypka had some space for his booth and never had anyone ontop of him or near his seat.

Not long after the female Zabrak waiter would return with a metal bucket filled with ice and a fine unique whiskey bottle in the center of the ice. She would lay it in the middle of the table with finely engraved glasses. "Would that be all Mr Seypka?" she added as he nodded politely with a light smile. "Yes, thank you." For somebody who had money he was a pretty relaxed and quiet man. Never yelling or being rowdy. Just wanted his space and to enjoy a fine drink. One of the dark clothed men near him would walk over to pour him the bottle as he raised his hand for him that it was fine.

Jack took it himself and would pour it into a glass as he turned the carved glass face up. The whiskey would only fill a quarter of it as he took a sip of it and let the flavor swish around his mouth as he set it back down on the table. "Damn, that's good." he said quietly as the announcers of the game began to open up with announcing the two teams players and finally with the phrase "Contestants, get ready!" with this the species from all over in the ship would roar with glee as everyone was excited and the mood was great.

It had been some time since Orrell had attended a public event such as this one, he had received an invite from a senior member of MC, Jack Seypka the chief of research, they had met once or twice before.

He approached Jack table in an all-black outfit, he glanced at screens around him he wasn't too interested in Hutt ball wasn't his sport, he was a boxing man since he took it up in his university days.

"Jack, how are you? it's been some time" he spoke from end of the booth, proceeding to sit down with the man.

Jack Seypka would be watching intently before hearing a voice that sounded familiar call out to him. Turning his head he would see none other than Orrell, He was with MorataCorp which is how Jack knew him. Smiling to the familiar face as the men in dark clothes stayed in their positions knowing the man as well. "Orrell, How're you my friend?" he was glad to see the invite reached his friend as he offered a glass to him. Letting his other hand grab the neck of the bottle and pour him a drink regardless of his answer as courtesy as he slid the glass over with a smirk.

"What have you been up to?" his pale blue eyes would focus on the man as his eyebrow perked along with the question. He would take a long drag of his cigarra as he let the fresh tobacco burn and fill his mouth with smoke as he exhaled through his nostrils and took a mouthful of his own whiskey. It was hard to catch up with anyone these days for Jack as he had been busy as hell with Morata and the current outbreak of the AMS virus had his lab staff flat out. Jack was lucky enough to catch a break and enjoy the game tonight.

Though a man always being ahead of his work certainly helped his case in taking breaks. Shuffling his metal pack he would offer Orrell a cigarra. If accepted he would light it for him and if not he would simply slide the case back into the pocket of his coat. His eyes gazing back over to the screens in front of his booth. "I Got a small wager on blue to win." he would say quietly without excitement. "I hope to see them fulfill that wager." he took another mouthful of his drink while tapping his burning cigarra in the glass ash tray on the table.

It was the day of the great Huttball event going on. Of course she would have to get in on this event. Areporter always follows where the excitement was. Today that happened to be here. She was let into the lounge area thanks to her persuasive skills of talking guys into letting a pretty girl through. On her way through she was looking for a good spot to do her pitch on the live feed. She just needed someone to hold the camera...

"There you are you handsome devil, you. (@Exhilian ) What are you doing here?"

She had spoke quietly to herself seeing the MorataCorp Chief of Research sitting in his comfy looking seat. She of course would have to get some sort of beverage before she began her work. The beautiful young Soma would make her way to the bar first and stand beside the counter waiting for service. There were many customers here so of course she didn't mind waiting just this once. She took the time to pull out her handheld mirror and check her makeup to be sure she looked presentable enough to make her galactic debut as The Galactic Gazette's Reporter.

"What does a girl have to do to get some service around here?" She asked aloud in hope of a waiter to cater to her needs.

”Pour me another one,”

”Ma’am, you’ve already had four shots since you’ve sat down… Maybe you sh-”

”Those head tails getting in the way of your ears, kid? I said another,” Aska growled as she glared at the Twi’lek, pushing the empty shot glass across the bar towards her. It had been ages since she had gotten the opportunity to enjoy being in a bar and she intended to make the most of it. Rolling her eyes, the Twi’lek snatched up the shooter and proceeded to replace it with a filled one. Tipping the drink back, Aska slapped a handful of credits down on the counter before grabbing her beer and turning back towards the crowd. The room was filling fast with people from vastly different walks of life. Suits, gangsters, a couple of shady Rodians stowing away in the corner that were undoubtedly peddling spice to the remaining clientele. Huttball aside, this was an event where you could find anything and Aska was all too excited to be here for it.

Somewhere amidst the ebbing flow of citizens, Klied and Ali could be found. Aska, however, could care less on their whereabouts for once. They came here to support Poffo in this little endeavor of his but she came here for the cheap booze, gambling and scantily clad women. She didn’t need them for that. Making her way to the bookie window and greeting the Sullustan woman, the clone looked over both of her shoulders to be sure her friend’s weren’t anywhere to be seen before leaning in.

”I’d like to place a five thousand credit wager on Red team winning the game please,” she whispered. Was it tasteless to bet against her business partner? Probably. Ah well. The Sullustan woman smiled and handed Aska her ticket which she quickly proceeded to shove in her pocket. And now she waits...

Emryc Thorne had been absent from the public for many months, and he knew he would have to make a public address soon. However, he didn’t mind publicity following him to explode into rumors about his return. He had allowed a gap of time to pass in between when he attacked the Ranger prison until now. ISC had done just fine in his absence, and it was clear that MorataCorp was a solid investment on his part.

The ISC President had secured a VIP area for himself and various other diplomats. While politics was important, very few things ranked as high as Huttball for him. Emryc sported a navy blazer, a dress shirt and some more casual pants. A shiny chrono adorned his wrist. Unlike how he had been for almost a year, his face was trimmed down till his chin only had a shadow and his hair was short and gelled. Vibrant silver eyes had their sight returned and were back to analyzing and scrutinizing those around him.

Having been in isolation for a while, Emryc decided he wanted to step away and venture around the more common areas. A cigarra hung loosely from the corner of his lips as he strode over to the bar area, towering over others more than usual. He caught a few glances his way as people wondered whether or not it truly was the missing president. The main clue was a bodyguard droid that accompanied him at all times.

Emryc paused at the bar and caught a familiar face. He grabbed his glass of whiskey and took a few steps towards the woman, “Ms. Aska Ryun if I recall correctly,” He said with a half grin, silver gaze piercing into her blues.

Something felt off. The crowd around Aska was abuzz with hushed whispers and pointed glares. Cracking a concerned eyebrow, the clone stood on her toes to try and get a look over the collection of party goers and huttball fans but could only see the back of a rather burly looking Neimodian’s neck. What, did Bom Trady decide to make an appearance? Maybe it was that slimy Rodian Preef Callo? No, that didn’t click. There was absolutely no way he’d be allowed to simply walk in here. Whoever or whatever it was, Aska opted to simply roll her eyes and detour back to the bar. It didn’t concern her in the slightest and she was entirely content leaving it that way.

Watching the holoscreens, the teams were being introduced by the Hutt announcers and Aska caught a glimpse of Poffo and his team mates on the far side of the arena. The man was always hard to miss but it seemed like there may just well be a good challenge for him as not one but two Mandalorians were situated on the opposite platform. Smirking into her bottle as she pressed it to her lips, the woman began to count the credits in her mind. ”Good luck out there, Mr. Shithead,” she mused silently. Suddenly, she felt a chill run down her spine as though she was being watched and looking over her right shoulder, she saw nothing…

“Ms. Aska Ryun if I recall correctly,”

Turning to her left, the silver eyes of Emryc Thorne met hers and almost caused the woman to spit her beer back into the bottle. She regained her composure and let out a hearty laugh.

”Thorne?” she responded, turning her body to face the man. ”Damn, it’s been awhile! I haven’t seen you on the news lately! What, did you run out of hands to kiss and babies to shake?” she added with a smirk.

It was a little bit before she finally received her drink. A beautifully colored Margarita served to her with a bow from the cute little Crip-E-O Donut Droid. She took a sip from the straw and set the drink back on the counter. Then she could hear the chatter of people grow. Who had entered this facility? Was it someone legendary? Soma had to know. So she got her wireless mic set and turned on as she turned to see who entered, because it was clearly worth a story.

Once the crowd cleared a little she could see him. A large man with an intense aura around him. It was none other than legendary Emryc Thorne. An exclusive with him would be enough to get her priority over other reporters. This was a blessing that fell into her lap, by jimbo she's gonna take it. Leaving, her drink the young reporter made her way over to the ISC Corpo and ignored the likes of the woman he was speaking to.

"Mr. Thorne! Hello, I'm Soma Stargazer with The Galactic Gazette. May I steal you for an exclusive interview?"

Her eyes looking into his. She gave a gorgeous smile that some would call angelic, eyes soft and seductive. Her voice loud enough to be heard but soft enough to sooth the likes of ones ears. She stood before him with her back cutting off the likes of Aska. She knew she had to be assertive, and she was. She'll have to buy this random woman a drink to apologize, if she doesn't forget to that is.

The Daedalus. Sounded like a squid’s willy. Whatever, Kayden wasn’t here for the name of the ship or even the ship itself. He was here for the entertainment within said ship. The Hutts had opened their doors for Huttball, best sport this side of Shitville, and the Daedalus would display it with both booth and booze. Kayden settled for the former. He didn’t much care for the latter.

His booth was posted in a corner, not one to cater to defying cliche, with a Donut arriving promptly to hand the occupant a glass of coconut water with bits of coconut swimming within it. It was no cocktail, no Cabernet, just a simple glass of coconut water and suck it.

“Thanks, donut.” Kayden smiled at the waiter-droid-donut-thing. It basically disregarded him and all was well. The patron was content sitting by himself with a viewscreen angled perfectly to his position on the adjacent wall; not too far and not too close.

He took a sip, licked his lips, ignored the freaks and fools around him and focused on the fools and freaks on the screen before him. Red team. Blue team. Mkay. Simple enough. Another swig. Anvil. Iron Man Faennag. They sounded like what the Daedalus sounded like. Krazy Kel. Death. Mr. Macho. Yep, they could suck it too.

Kayden just wanted to watch these six sorry souls pulverize each other. So who the kriff should he root for? You, perhaps? He cocked a brow one dancer’s way. She was a sweet thing; a Zeltron in pulsing pink skin and a few black garments streaked in white, which contrasted nicely with his own white tracksuit streaked in black. Might take you home. Show you my wardrobe. Keep you in it.

Nah, he’d probably just cut her tongue out and send her floating out the airlock when all was done. For now, the two lovers shared a wink and Kayden shared a look with the screen. The game was going to start soon. The music from the bar’s speakers would not interrupt it. Actually, it just might complement it?

Soygun York loved sports. He was more into races- pod races, speeder races, and the like, but he saw the beauty and the guts in all of it. When he got the message that Thorne reserved a VIP area on the Daedalus to watch this Huttball game, the governor of Kattada knew it was an opportunity he couldn't pass up.

He showed up in a classy, but casual outfit. Black pants gave way to a black tucked in designer t-shirt that was perfectly fitted. The white leather belt popped against the all black backdrop, as did the white gold buckle. He wore black slip-on dress shoes with no socks to further punctuate the classy-casual look that he was known for in his social circles.

Never knowing when the opportunity to meet a beautiful woman may arise, he went with a light splash of one of his favorite colognes, one with hints of vanilla and sweet tree resins. Subtle and clean with a light mixture of sweet and earthy tones. Behind him was Travix, his protocol and secretarial droid. He didn't particularly feel that he would need Travix for translations tonight, but Travix also held on to things for him. The droid kept York's blaster magnetized to the inside of his leg. It was a beautiful blaster, the Westar, but it simply didn't match York's attire for the evening. Travix also kept York's wooden cigar case handy.

As they walked in, he saw that Thorne was out of the VIP section and was talking to a woman. He had long meant to meet the man face to face, but the opportunity never arose. Huttball was a long game. He was sure the opportunity would still arise. York went straight to the VIP section and sat on one of the large leather couches in the lounge that was in front of one of the largest screens in the room. Travix stood directly behind the couch, right over his shoulder. Soygun put a hand out and said, "Travix, cigar please."

"Of course, Governor," the droid said back. He opened the wooden case, and took out one of the expensive cigars York was known to enjoy. "Would you like me to light it for you?"

"No, thank you. I won't be the first one to light up. I'll let someone else break the smoke." York took the cigar and took it between his teeth. Even not smoking, he loved the taste of a good cigar. He grinned wondering how many ISC governors would be willing to show up to a Huttball party. May be a party of one...

Having spent the past few months languishing in his stronghold on Nar Shaddaa, Yurghuz the Hutt was pleased to out on the town once more. It had all been rather strange, one day he had been lording over a smuggling operation, watching the genuflection of his lessers with mirth, and the next, his new droid majordomo, REX, had taken the stronghold away from its birth, and stopped all 'visits' from his criminal compatriots. Come to think of it, this moght be the first time since then he had seen anyone, Yurghuz recalled.

Actually no, there was his previous Majordomo, the Twi'lek, whatever his name was. Whatever became of him? Yurghuz thought to himself, before taking the datapad from REX, as the spindly automaton tapped along next to him, four of his kin in tow.. Oh, Huttball. he mused, taken the drink offered, and immersing himself in the screen once more.

"Yughuz the Hutt," REX showed his invitation chit and proof of non-infection to the door-guard, having done so at the landing pad, and prior to landing, to the station control. They certainly were not taking precautions, and this was something REX could understand. Since the breakout of the AMS Virus, he had done likewise. Taking his masters home, an anti-gravitation 'stronghold', and moving it away from its docking birth, before ejecting organic personnel, aside from the Master of course, over the side, plummeting into the depths of the industrial wastes below. After the small matter of liquidating his master's Majordomo, an irritating Twi'lek named Ruupal, REX had been able to ensure his master lived in splendid isolation, far beyond the hordes of infected that ravaged the world below.

It was not optimal to be leaving the stronghold, especially with the AMS virus still on the rampage, yet his master did get ever so grouchy without his sporting fix seen to. REX had calculated a marked decline in his master's temper of late, and so assumed it worth the risk on this occasion, especially given the precautions being taken by the station itself.

Now inside the observation platform, REX and his compatriots moved his master's hoverchair over to his VIP lounger and formed a discreet arrangement about his persons, alert for threats as ever. Yughuz waved him over, instructed him to place a bet on his behalf, and continued drooling over his datapad. Heading over to stand near a well-dressed gentleman (@Sreeya), the Droid spoke in his normal monotone, to the bookie sat nearby. "His serene excellency, the divine and most despotical," REX made sure to afford his master the usual titles and pleasantries "Yughuz the Hutt, wishes to place a bet of," he looked at the betting slip his master had handed him, and his photoreceptors widened in shock. This was not an optimal allocation of resources, and so REX opted for the next best thing "One," he raised one finger to show the amount "Galactic Standard Credit, on this team." he tapped the associated team symbol.

Pleased with his allocation of his master's resources, REX walked away, before overhearing the tail end of a discussion.

"...did you run out of hands to kiss and babies to shake?"

Shaken babies? One of the masters favourite.

"For reptilian infants, stunning is far superior a method to shaking." he interjected, offering his well-considered and researched advice to the organics.

This was a terrible idea. Klied knew that building a mercenary company, a respectable mercenary company like he wanted, would require a lot of PR. A lot of handshaking and small talk with pretentious people. But that didn't make the thought of it any easier. He stood by the doorway to the VIP area, struggling to calm his breathing as he adjusted his collar. Once again he had talked himself into dressing like the nobleman he was for the occasion. He wore the navy blue of an Onderonian officer's uniform, along with a white shoulder cape trimmed with gold. Knee-length black boots were shined to perfection. He should have just hired someone to do this, but if he was going to be the face of the company the least he could do was show it.

Moving in a stilted and awkward gait he first made his way to the bar to order a drink, then started to walk about the room, looking for some company. He spotted Aska (@Tulos ) talking to a man he vaguely recognized and nodded to her. His instincts told him to approach the one person here he actually knew and wouldn't mind talking to, but he had to force him self to try and chat a bit with the others. He needed to get his name out there. And he needed investors.

Scanning the room he spotted one wealthy looking man (@Isen ) and approached the couches and televisions. He sat down in a chair adjacent Senator York in a formal fashion, hands on his knees. With some effort he managed to make himself more comfortable, sitting back a bit and raising leg to rest his ankle on his knee as he took a swig of his whiskey. "Lord Kliedden Raxx, of Onderon." He would introduce himself to the Kattadan, and offer a hand to shake. It still felt strange using his full name when he had become so accustomed to just introducing himself to everyone as 'Klied'. "And you are?"

Trench had been burning at both ends to keep the fires in the Core Worlds down while other Rangers helped worlds infected with AMS, lost prisoners, or died in areas he felt the Rangers really didn't need to be in. Shit had been getting real sporty and the man needed a vacation.

Strolling into the main viewing area of the Daedalus, the off-duty Ranger would be clad in his traditional black leather jacket. He had even dipped into his savings to purchase a ticket for his longtime friend @Bast Emblai, but it would remain to be seen if she actually showed up.

People were all abuzz and loud. Kriff. ISC president was walking around, probably gonna start signing babies and kissing titties. That was a problem for on-duty Trench, off-duty Trench would only care if those lips invaded his bubble. Right now, Trench cared about one thing and one thing only: Huttball. At least he recognized, Senator York, a man he met on Corellia some time ago.

The bar was packed and Trench cursed as he kinda shimmied his way through them. Finally carving a route to the bar, his jaw dropped. "Hell nah, they got some of them Donut Droids here? Shit, I needa get the Chief to open that budget a bit. These lil guys are crazy. Hey you, tender. Lemme get a Corellian Whiskey and don't you dare have your little angel droid tempt me with a donut."

Suddenly the bar would get scarce as people stopped swarming Emryc and rushed to a -real- star. Bom kriffing Trady. The legend himself would stroll in with his entourage and double digit security droids to enter his personal box, with his personal bar. Three of the droids would keep the people back.

Emryc was entirely unfazed by Aska becoming flustered or almost spitting out her drink. It was clear it was difficult to get a reaction out of the tall half Sephi. His face remained pleasantly blank as he took a sip from his drink as she sputtered a bit before speaking. Her words, however, drew out a half grin as he tilted his head away to politely blow out cigarra smoke in the other direction.

“You have friends in this game?” He asked as he glanced over towards the large screens displaying the arena. He was aware of the various amounts of people gathering around him and Aska, and he was sure there would be tabloid speculations simply because he was standing in close proximity to a woman. There was no doubt she would be cornered for some exciting questions later. Emryc watched the screens for a moment as he pulled from his cigarra, looking back to regard the droid that approached.

Emryc knew Yughuz the Hutt, of course, and he had run jobs for him years back. The Hutt knew him as ‘Spicelord’ or a very small and skinny boy that looked nothing like he did today. He quirked an eyebrow, “One credit? That’s embarrassing,” He muttered before looking over to the reporter that practically elbowed her way over.

By now there was a bit of a crowd and Emryc’s path back to his VIP box was effectively blocked. The half Sephi glanced down at the reporter as he took another sip from his whiskey.

“You may conduct it here,” He stated flatly, “I’m feeling generous.”

He heard a bit of commotion in the distance and his gaze flicked up to see the player he detested above all. Emryc’s jaw visibly tightened, his grip on the glass enough to allow thin fractures to form. However, he controlled himself and focused back on those that were addressing him, pointedly ignoring the obnoxious showboating player.

Orrell accepted the rink jack had poured out for him. "little a bit this and that, personal projects mostly" finishing with a sip of the whiskey, it was a fine whiskey he had chosen.

He would wave off the offer of a cigarra "though I'm planning on taking a more vest interested in MC." he was planning a meeting between him and Ilana to discuss that very thing. "how goes Mc's research into a vaccine, the announce of being the lead company for reshearch has increased MC'S value greatly."

He glanced up at the screen at the mention of jack's bet, "I personally don't gamble, already do it enough with my work."

This was exciting! He actually agreed, okay now she had to compose herself on the inside as she had felt her heart race some. It wasn't every day you get to talk to important people. much less get that insider scoop. Now what would she aske first? Could ask why he was missing from the public for so long, or maybe ask how he began his company. Soma was sure whatever she asked there would be a suffice answer to, especially with a man of his social caliber.

"So Mr. Thorne, seeing yourself at a Huttball game is exciting in itself please tell us who you are rooting for."

The report for the Galactic Gazette had lifted her camera and placed it on the security droid next to Thorne. Surely the droid is stable enough to keep the camera from shaking and be able to get an angle with both Soma and Thorne in it. After all it was a machine and didn't have muscles that could spasm or fail completely. When it comes to getting a good reaction, reporters needed that clear image of what their face entailed. The worries, the excitement, the anger, the annoyance. It was like money falling in her pocket the more she can get from the business man.

She stood close enough to hold her microphone up to where the man could speak into it. After all, she couldn't allow for any sort of comment to go unheard. It was important to gather everything. Especially in her line of work. There could be other reporters here trying to get the same story out, so she had to be the first and the best.

Jack Seypka would chuckle at Orrells comment as they both sat in his private booth enjoying their fine bottle service. Jack's pale blue eyes would flick back and forth between the game and his friend. Taking a long drag of his cigarra as he exhaled it quietly and chewed on the question Orrell asked him for a little bit. It was true that Jack was swamped at work but things were looking very promising. "Things are going well, we are still in the development stage. We have options laid out and different tests running." he added as he took a mouthful of his drink.

He would nod quietly in regards to Orells statement in his vests in the MorataCorp. "It would be wise to get your cards in before others try before you." he would admit honestly as a lot of companies and people were taking a huge interest in the company. Everyone seemed to be wanting a piece of the action and the company was flat out with its work and schedule. Noticing the bottle was empty, Jack would raise his hand as the female Zabrak waiter would come back over with another bucket of ice and a whiskey bottle in it.

It seemed stuff was getting busy on the otherside of the ship as a crowd was gathering on the far end. It seemed someone of importance was there but Jack couldn't see. Regardless he was far to interested in the game to care for who as he was enjoying his drink and smoke. Pouring up another glass and refilling Orrells when it was low as he raised a glass to the pair. "To the future of MorataCorp.".

Tipping the glass back to his lips before setting it back down on the table. The place had folks from all over by the looks of it. Wealth, Politcians and everyone else in between as Huttball brought out species and folks from all across the galaxy to enjoy the game. It was getting so packed in fact it was nice Jack had a VIP booth away from the main area in the corner as the voices and conversations across the room were just as loud as the big holoscreens with their volume to match the loudness and excitement.

Few would have known it, but the good Doctor enjoyed her fair share of Huttball games. She had often cheered for the underdogs of a game, but her heart was still set from her university days as a firm lover of the Coruscantii team. She had deliberately dressed under the radar; hair was covered with a black wig of fine quality, clothes were a standard pedestrian fare. To complete the look, black glasses perched on her nose and she wore a dark grey hoodie.

She kept an ear out. She had heard some of her employees planned to mingle, and she would keep an eye on them and the game. However, she was pleasantly surprised to see a few more familiar faces in the mix at the bar; President Emryc Thorne
(@Sreeya ) especially, but the Senator York (@Isen ) and Jack, with Orrell (@christhebetrayer and @Exhilian ). But she wasn't here to rub elbows and grease wheels; for once, she was simply here to enjoy the game and blend in. Even her guards were dressed undercover, mingling in the crowd and keeping an eye on her covertly.

Coming up to the crowded bar, amber eyes glinted in a slender profile, lips pursed slightly.

"Whisky please."

She gave a sideways glance to Emryc once more, but he seemed to be engaged with someone else. She wouldn't interrupt. Still, something about his build reminded her of someone. Glancing away, she would take the drink the bartender gave her, watching the crowd, savoring the swell of emotions, the voices as they all watched the game. She sipped her drink once, savoring the view.
She wouldn't linger, though; but just for now, for a little while, she wanted to enjoy a brief respite from the perils of the galaxy.

Though Ali had arrived with her mistress, Aska, and friend Klied, the Togruta found herself alone and separated from her companions. These days it was very unusual for her to be on her own. Even if Aska was off doing something, the slave was normally with one other member of their group. Though Klied and her mistress were likely not too far away, for the time being, the Togruta was by herself.

The group had come to The Daedalus to cheer on Poffo in his game of Hutt Ball. This was a sport Ali actually had seen played a few times on the screens back at her former master's palace. Hota Zugg, like many Hutts, was a keen fan of the sport - if it could be called a sport. Ali herself had always been opposed to violence. Being a slave her whole life, violence had always made it's way down the hierarchy and the slaves always got it the worst. Having said that, Poffo Sauvage did seem a good fit for a Hutt Ball player. He was a big bruiser of a man who specialised in brawling. Ali had seen him fight first hand back in the lab on Coruscant. He wasn't too bad with a blaster either. Then there was the matter of his toughness. The Togruta had also had the unfortunate privilege of hearing the man's buttocks get sawn off by an astromech in order to prevent him dying from an AMS infection, fully conscious and without anesthetic. On that basis, Ali believed he would be more than capable of surviving a Hutt Ball game.

A little unsure what she should do without her mistress there, Ali approached the bar being tended by the two Twi'lek twins. Back at her former master's palace, her duty as a slave was to entertain guests, whether that was by dancing for them (which she did the majority of the time), serving them drinks, or simply hanging off their arm, making them feel "important". Ali could appreciate the effort the serving girls were putting in behind the bar to serve everyone at the event. When one of them came over to take her order, Ali simply asked for a glass of water. She did not tend to drink anything else unless permitted by her mistress. By now the pair had known each other long enough for Ali to know Aska would tell her to drink a beer or something, but the slave had been conditioned to not to act of her own free will and certainly not self-indulge, so despite the woman's efforts to get the Togruta to "lighten up", these behavioural patterns were not so easily shaken. Once received, Ali would sit at the bar, sipping her water and watching one of the nearby screens to see what was happening in Poffo's Hutt Ball game.
