Hutt Ball Sign-Ups
Hello everyone, this is the sign-ups for a Hutt Ball game I talked about on discord. For the unaware, Hutt Ball is from Star Wars: the Old Republic, but with some changes for it to work on here on a text-based forum setting.The basics are: This game will be pitting 2 teams against each other, 3 players. The objective of this game is to grab the ball that spawns in the center of the playing field and then take it to the opposing team's goal, doing so earns a point and concludes the round. A new round will start again with participants starting at their goal lines again healed. This game runs on a time limit of 30 days when the announcer IC starts the game after characters make their introduction posts. So the team with the highest score in 30 days will be the winner.

Notes
- This event will be Dice and DM driven.
- Everyone will have 48 hour post window after the DM posts. This event will work similarly to the Escape from Mataou events. Participants will roll dice (D20) for effectiveness of 1 major action, they will will write in their posts their actions are attempts. The DM will post once 48 hours have passed (or everyone has posted).
- Some times there will be conflicting actions (two competing players rolling to get to the ball first. The highest dice roll may win out, but the DM will decide the effectiveness of both actions in the end based on how high the roll is).
(For example. If you roll a 1 to get the ball, and your opponent rolls a 2, both players will most likely not be getting the ball.) - Other 'major actions' may include launching an attack on another character,, grabbing the ball, attempting to make progress making a run towards the goal while holding the ball .etc.

- Please use the #dice-commands channel on discord for rolling dice. Rolls in the Difficulty Check section are fine, but regardless rolls will need to be linked in your post and you will have to state the action you are attempting before making your dice roll.
- Please don't sign-up if you don't feel you can make the 48 hour post windows

- This event is 3 vs 3. 48 hours are allotted for sign-ups. If there are more than 6 sign-ups, participants will be randomly selected. Teams will have randomly selected members. So if a Jedi and Sith join, it's possible they will be on the same team.
- The Hutt ball itself is heavy, and would required to be carried with all/both hands regardless of characters species/strength .etc. The player needs to physically have the ball in their possession at the goal to score.
- This event is Death disabled and maim-disabled, although if players see fit they can have their characters be maimed or killed in the bout.
- I will set up an OPEN observation thread that will run parallel to this thread, characters not participating are encouraged to join and make bets and socialized!
