KHA-GONE?: Trandoshan dictator weakened as Hutts pull the strings.

Following a showdown on Kessel between the Hutt thug Skelgok and the Trandoshan ‘Khagan’ Rrodossk, a new power has emerged on Trandosha.

Having struggled under a short-lived dictatorship, the lizard planet breathes a misplaced sigh of relief, with rumours abounding that the ‘Khagan’ has seen his powers stripped.

But the rumours get juicer, with a source to the Herald confirming that the Hutts ‘seized’ the Trandoshan dictator after he came to meet them on the newly taken planet of Kessel.

The source said the dictator was ‘held in a cage and knocked out, before being forced to agree to the Hutt's terms’.

Investment into the distant planet is understood to have been offered, enabling the Hutts to buy vast tracts of land and purchase businesses for below-market rates across Trandosha.

Kessels spice wealth is understood to be being used to establish the Hutts as de-fact rulers of the distant planet, with the Trandoshan government acting as a puppet of Nal Hutta.

“Troubled times ahead” are predicted for the lizard planet, confirmed one member of the newly established ruling council - who asked not to be named by this publication.

“The Hutts have moved credits en masse to the world, with Desilijic financing behind everything. We’re a slave state.” the source said, “Khagan Rroddossk had massive amounts of power, centralised around one person - this same system is now being used to hand control to the Cartel.”

Nobody else was willing to speak to the paper, which has fallen out of circulation on the troubled planet.

Khagan Rroddossk whereabouts are not known.

BE-CZERKA: Imperial Economy ‘rebounding’ after MegaCorporation is formed.[/b]

Just months after the coronation of a new Emperor, the corporate world is making moves to hedge up its bets across the region.

Not content with just selling to the Imperial state, Czerka has jumped into its pocket by spinning off an autonomous ‘Imperial Czerka’ Corporation.

With its own board, investors, supply chain and more, this fully independent company has become one of the largest suppliers to the Imperial war machine overnight.

Sentient rights observers, however, remain concerned, as the company is also understood to be a ‘Corporate Authority’ over numerous imperial sectors.

A unique form of sector Government, a Corporate Authority hands a private business interest nearly total control over everything in the region.

This enables firms to waive slavery laws, cut wages, and change legal codes with impunity.

Imperial Czerka has denied this, with a source saying the company is focused instead on supporting the economy in “rebounding” following turbulent times in the Empire's recent history.

EZY DOES IT: Presidents kid starts tech firm.

President Thornes's son, Ezra, will graduate from ‘trust fund baby’ to ‘businessman’ as he sets up his own firm.

‘EZTec’, a small-scale start-up, was founded using funds from the socialite's trust fund, set up for him by galactic business and political tycoon Emryc Thorne.

Focusing on gadgets, such as a commlink and translation earpods, EZTec has one employee and no manufacturing facilities, with rumours suggesting the products are made ‘on license’ by other manufacturers.

Already the products have found a niche following by supporters of the founder's father, with a viral marketing campaign taking the holonet by storm.

However, analysts say the firm will require ‘considerably more capital’ to ‘scale fast enough to outpace this crowded sector’.
