DESCRIPTION​

The IFST-21 light freighter is a model of transport manufactured by Incom-FreiTek, a firm better known for building hot starfighters than cargo haulers. The IFST-21 is just that, however, boasting a respectable capacity while still retaining some of the trademark Incom performance.

The IFST-21 is 22 meters long, and boasts a top speed of 75 MGLT, quite impressive for its carrying capacity. The ship has a crew of 2, plus 6 passengers, and has consumables for up to 3 months in space. Cargo capacity, for all this, is an astonishing 70 standard tons. For defense, the ship boasts medium shields and a single dual light laser turret mounted on the dorsal hull, plus 2 fixed medium laser mounted in the wings.

IFST-21s are in great demand among the smuggler community, who appreciate their high capacity and good speed. Though Incom-FreiTek does not sell to criminals directly, it is an open secret that many of the shipping and courier companies which place large orders for the type are fronts for various organized crime syndicates. There are a few spacers who use the type legitimately as well, of course, and so the company continues to sell them.
