APPEARANCE:
Buddy shares the same appearance as the rest of his caste of droids. However, instead of two optical lenses, Buddy has one large red optical lens that sits above a smaller one. He also is painted in dark grey, green, and brown Ranger camo. Buddy always wears his badge on his right shoulder.
ATTRIBUTES:
"MagnaGuards were fully optimized to battle and kill. This was due to not only their impeccable melee functionality but also their capability to withstand a massive loss of structural integrity before total system failure, as well as their inability to feel pain. Even after decapitation, or bisection, they could continue to effectively engage a target. The only sure way to destroy a MagnaGuard would be to stab them in the chest. Other than this, however, as well as their enhanced movement, magnaguards could do little more without a weapon than the average human."

PERSONALITY:
Buddy was reprogrammed by an anonymous tech-expert to have a sense of a free will. However, this sense of freedom made him a bit more philosophical than most droids. Buddy found that helping others made him feel productive. In fact, helping others would've made him smile if he had a mouth. This compassion for others led him to be one of the most unlikely members of the Sector Rangers. He has a strong sense of duty and holds himself to a strict code of honor. He believes in making peace before war, but if he's caught in war, he'll fight like it's his last.
BIOGRAPHY:
IG-101 has been around since the Clone Wars, but his memories of war and sabotage have all been erased. A strange programmer picked up his frame on Bracca and brought him back to life, but purposefully got rid of his old memories so he could start anew. IG-101 was also given free-will, but he tended to linger by the programmer's side. Eventually, the programmer (who the droid would simply refer to as 'The Programmer') gave him his new identity- Buddy. Buddy learned the importance of friendship and loyalty from The Programmer and decided that he would use his talents to help those in need.
And who knows? Maybe one of those people could be a new loyal friend...
