I'm deciding between characters...?

I'd rather start a character young since it would be easier to integrate into the story
My first idea is a child whose parents are involved in the spice trade transportation business. Criminal faction fun?

My second idea is force sensitive siblings (We can have up to three right?). One who is very determined to become a Jedi but is not very "one with the force" (and honestly, probably will never be), and the other who is more attune with the force but can hardly swat a fly.

My last idea is more of a blank slate kid who can go in any direction that first appears to them, but will always follow a path of 100% selfishness and self-interest.

Since I'm new, can anyone tell me which type of character would fit in more in this setting?

I'm new here too, but I can tell you that once you create a character for a main faction (Republic, Sith, Jedi), you can't create one for a different main faction.
"SECTION II: Character Creation

A. Writers are limited to three characters at one time; this limit transcends accounts. Furthermore, a writer is only allowed to be in one main faction at a time, with up to two characters in that faction."

So maybe create an independent character first, then see which faction you want to join later?

i cant really give you a suggestion on what character to go with, since thats a personal decision and we dont really ask people to make characters that "fit," rather we just want everyone to play the character theyd have most fun with.

You could make 3 siblings. 2 end up as you say well the other gets draged in to crimnal stuff. But really you can creat what you want. I do have a child character and had one in the last time line. They fun to RP but not easy. So 3 may not be best. You could have one be a teenager or young adult. All so if you want crimnal fun i recomed Czerkar @Nor'baal would find a spot for you. Though maybe not a preteen. But hey Czerka flies loose on child labour policies.

Welcome! The great thing about this RP is that really anything can happen; this allows all types of characters to be made. To answer your question, I would choose the charcter that you would enjoy the most to RP. Starting off with one character is something I would recommend at least until you get a better grasp on the site. I hope to see you in the RP soon ¡Hasta Luego!

Czerkar looks great, I think I'll save my spice-kid until I know the story a bit better. Is it considered a main faction?

Czerka is an independent faction. The main factions are the jedi, the rupublic and border alliance, and the sith and sacred band of ziost

technically border alliance and republic are one faction and sith and sacred band are all so one.

Yeah, that's what I meant by putting them together. Jedi are the only main faction without a subfaction.

Just posting this here since it seems you've missed the memo.

All users can start off with a Knight level CP. As such, you don't need a master, nor are you required to go through the tedious Padawan training. That said, should you feel inclined to RP a Padawan, you'll be responsible for finding a user willing to RP the training threads with you.

You seem to have pretty awesome ideas. You'll make a great addition to the Jedi Knights!

I would suggest you think twice before making a Padawan, especially since it is not mandatory and most RPs/missions are not very Padawan-friendly. Plus, it is kind of tedious to find someone to RP a master around here. I chose to start out as a Padawan and I am beginning to somewhat regret it... :|

Anyway, what is important is to make something that works for you and not think too far ahead. Let yourself some freedom to allow your characters to evolve! Otherwise, you risk getting frustrated quite soon. (I am also struggling with that at the moment...)

Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep my little guy and probably make another character as a Jedi Knight then. (I'll take on a padawan if some are looking )

Plus I'm not sure how long he will be a Padawan for, he might get kicked out or die within a month.
