Imperial Armed Force

Information

The Imperial Armed Forces were founded by Darth Andruil as the first formal military of her new Sith Empire. A few years after her resignation from The Empire she created, the Sith Order was summarily ejected from the Empire and the IAF was reformed to streamline its ranks and to reevaluate its operations in light of the expulsion of its former Sith members.

With planetary security, law enforcement and intelligence activities being the purfew of the Imperial Security Bureau, the Imperial Armed Forces handle everything in space and offworld. They are The Empire's military in both defensive as offensive situations.


Recruitment & Composition

After the Sith purge, most members of the IAF is non-Force sensitive. Although it is not entirely uncommon for Imperial Knights and Force-sensitives with low midi-chlorian counts to join the IAF, all former Sith were revoked of their clearance and any command role they may have had prior to the split. There are also significant background checks for those non-Force sensitives who intend to join the organization.

All members of the Imperial Navy and the Imperial Army across The Empire are considered to be part of the IAF.

Structure & Ranks​

As before the Purge, the Imperial Armed Forces are divided into branches, though the old branches have been consolidated and streamlined for more effective management of personnel and resources.

Each branch of the IAF is led by a Supreme Commander who reports directly to the Grand Marshall.


Imperial Army

Members of the Imperial Army (IAs) are the backbone of the Imperial Armed Forces. They act both in the defense of The Empire and to further its expanionist goals.

In the past, when the Sith Order occupied the higher echelons of The Empire, the Imperial Army was split up between a defense force and an assault corps. Both heavily armored and especially the latter being heavily involved in the Sith's many conquests and other atrocities. To get away with that reputation, the Imperial Army has been renamed and restructured. The men and women of the Army still wear and use The Empire's most advanced weaponry and armors and during operations are able to field the biggest cannons the galaxy will ever see on the field of battle.

The ranks of the Imperial Army are as follows:

• Lieutenant (starting PC rank)
• Captain
• Commander (second PC rank)
• General
• Grand Marshal (Sub-Faction Leader, Imperial Council)

Imperial Navy

The Imperial Navy is perhaps the most visible and recognizable symbol of The Empire. After the war with the Independent Systems Consortium (ISC) and the loss of shipyards on Sith planets like Exegol, the fleet has somewhat diminished as of late. While the ISC-sanctions on fuel are in effect, the Imperial Navy is mostly restricted to areas of space on the edge of its own territories.

The ranks of the Imperial Navy are as follows:
